I hope you are having a great day. I spent yesterday making baby cards!
WHAT?! You may be wondering……………..
I guess you could say I have babies on the brain. NO I’m not having baby fever-but EVERYONE else is.
Just about every couple Jay and I know is popping one out-LOL!
Some are over-due as we speak, and their bundle’s of love should be arriving SOON-like today!
Its so weird because I am SO past that stage in our lives. I feel like everyone is playing catch up. It’s good for us though. We have alot going on, and my children are at a point where I can do the things “I” want to do, for myself-OK that sounded wicked selfish, but not intended that way. Let’s face it, we all need some ” my time” for mommy fun.
ANYWAY-
I never have ANY baby cards on hand, and wanted to make some special one’s for those time’s I am in a CRUNCH-but you really should have a card.
I like to keep my baby cards soft, sweet and SIMPLE.
So I created 3 of the same today. I hope you like them, and gain some inspiration from them.
I used my favorite baby pieces if inspiration. It basically came from my friend Erin, who was being induced yesterday (Wed at 7:30 pm) saying-I think I have everything except 0-3 and 3-6 month onsie’s.
I could NOT believe my ears! No ONESIE’s? WHAT? That is a very important piece of a baby wardrobe.
So, sort of as a “joke”, since I went on a spiel about onesie’s and their importance, I figured it would be cute to make her a card for their baby-SHAPED like a onesie.
Wait till you see the way I package the onesie’s I am bringing to the hospital!!! If it works the way I hope-its a MUST do for ANY new baby. Cross your finger’s as I am on a mission today to package them, and will share them asap.
Now the other thing I used, that is a favorite for me, is a Stork!
See that stork image in the onesie? Its from the New! All Occasion set by LAD called Petite Phrases.
I LOVE storks! They are so cute!!! They are also great for adoption cards and what not. Or just a pregnancy congrats. Love them
For my cards I wanted a SOFT look-so I stamped with Sahara Sand ink, then colored with markers. The Stork on the girl onesie is the only one with glitter on the stork.
Its a Girl
She is suppose to have a girl-so this *may* be the one she receives.
Its a Boy
and……….Its a ?
This one is perfect for any sex baby.
So what do you think? Cute? I was very pleased with the outcome.
I made it basically from SU! punches! I sorta just figured it out, and they only took 15 minutes to design and create 3! Now that is cool.
TUTORIAL CAN BE FOUND———–> HERE
The fold is at the top.
the head opening and legs are done using 1 3/8 circle punch
I also used my SU! Scallop punch for the “trim”. I would first punch my 1/2 circle then punch out the scallop border.
My Scor-Pal made the lie at the bottom where the “snaps” are. Otherwise know as Making Memories button brads
DONE! Simple Simon.
Speaking of babies…………..
My babies-
Alexa-icky nose, taking a huge amount of antibiotics, and still recovering from roid-rage, but all is well. She really doesn’t complain-as long as she gets her way. She has this “attitude” that KILLS me lately. I don’t think I had that attitude at her age. But I guess she is entitled.
Noah-he is great. A very good little boy. He has learned how to take Daisy out to do her duty, and enjoys helping with her care the most. He plays with her alot though-out the day.
Amber-she is also great. Nothing new to report. Loves school and is quite the little singer these days. Maybe she will be the future American Idol! LOL!
Daisy- she is going to the vet 8:30 am to get fixed :C Poor baby.
My hubby-we are praying we get a sitter soon! We haven’t had a date in forever :C We are pretty stressed. Excited LOST starts tonight!!! YEAH!
I appreciate all the well wishes.
That’s it for me for today.
I’m off and running.
I’ll check in later.

Oh these are just the cutest. The last time I made a card like this was 4 years ago…but let me say it was NOTHING as good as this one. I love the cuts and uses of punches. BRILLANT!!!!
These cards are so sweet, I just love them!
THESE ARE SO STINKIN’ CUTE!!!!! I absolutely love these! The punches you used for this is so creative. And I can’t believe a pregnant lady hasn’t bought any onesies! I got super powerful baby shopping fever, lol. I spent $700 at the Carters outlet one day and when I came home Sean was out of his mind, and he was right because I had already bought a ton of stuff. So he told me I could keep the special stuff that I really liked and I was so emotional I just sat there sobbing as I put 99% of it back. Poor guy, I get really nutso in the last month!
Totally adorable! Can’t wait to see how you package them - could it be in a diaper :)?
Those are the cutest onesie cards EVER! I just love them…and that glitter on the girl one really rocks!
Thanks for sharing with us, you are SOOOOO creative! Your head is just full of ideas, it’s so fun to see them coming out every day!!!
Hope Alexa feels better VERY soon…glad to hear the others are doing well, and that Noah, what a great helper with Daisy! Bless his heart!
These Onesie Baby Cards are ingenious! I mean really Lauren, HOW CUTE can you get? I especially love the button-snaps that add such realism… maybe you should have cut the “frill” from around the leg of a REAL diaper, and attach it to your card. HAHA
Great idea and one I shall certainly have to print off and case, next time I need a special baby card.
HUGE HUGS and well wishes to Alexa; I hope she starts to feel much better and gets back to her normal self quickly
These are just absolutely fantastic! I love these! All the little details are amazing!!! Love the button snaps at the bottom.
These are just so precious! You’re so clever!
Glad the crew is doing well and I hope Alexa is feeling better soon. I know what you mean about ‘attitude’. DD is 13 and well, I think that says it all, right?
Gotta run the wee-one to the bus stop.
HUGS
Lauren - you are freakin’ amazing! These are over the top - only you could create something this adorable! WOW! TFS
I wish I lived closer I’d offer to baby sit - I hope you and DH get a date soon.
Teresa
Lauren, those onsie cards are so dang cute. Im thinking I will case it for a friend who is due next month. If I lived closer I’d be there in a heart-beat to watch your little ones for you. .My hubby and I had 6 hours of wandering aimlessly around stores and eating dinner with out a little one on Sunday. It was fantastic. Every parent needs a break once in a while. Have a good day. - Molly B
Lauren this is thinking outside the box. It’s so creative. I think these are just the cutest thing ever. Wow! I have a baby shower in a month and I’m going to CASE these. Wow!!! They would make great thank you cards also to include with a gift. Can’t wait to see how you package them up. I will be using this idea a lot and giving you credit. Actually I already made my thank you cards for a gift but I needed something to put with them so I’m going to get a set of onesie’s and use this card to the new mommy to be along with my thank you notes. Thanks so much for sharing such a wonderful idea.
Super cute cards Lauren! I haven’t seen anything like them before! Another one of your fab ideas!!!
Oh Lauren— those are absolutely ADORABLE! Thank you for sharing your creations!
These are the cutest cards ever! OMG, they are just adorable. Thank for sharing! Have a wonderful day!
Too darn cute and I need something cute - can I copy (case, or whatever it is termed) the concept? You, by the way, are amazing!
OK Just WOW. What else is can I say??
These are so cute! I love all your work you do, it’s always so detailed and perfect.
These are just TOO sweet…love em!!!
I hope you & Jason get a little time together…I know Nick and I could probably use some as well…
Hope Alexa starts feeling better…and the attitude? Well, it should get better eventually….I hope
And WOOOHOOOO LOST starts tonight
I’m SO psyched.
{{{hugs}}} and good luck to all those new Mommies you know! We’ve got 4 new babies on there way down here too!! exciting times…exciting times
Too Cute!! I just happen to need a baby card, Can I case your card? Those are just perfect. What great work!
Jannette D.
These onesies are so adorable!!
I know what you mean about other couples around you playing catch up. I had my daughter when I was young (18) and my son came a few years later. Now at 28, I have friends who are just starting out with a family. I feel like the “grandma” though since I can love on the babies & spoil them & send them home. No dirty diapers to change or diaper bags to lug around. My kids are so independent now & that’s great since I, like you, am too selfish with my time now, to have another one
These are FANTASTIC, love the concept and the image is so soft, love it.
Lauren,
they are all adorable. Cute ideas!! Your brain must always be working..because you always come up with fantastic designs and cards…Hugs, Chris

I don’t know anyone having babies right now, many passed the stage some didn’t start. I guess I was in the middle of the pack. Glad to hear the kids are doing well. LOST wooo hoo!!! Did you see the recap last night? I thought they did a cool job with it. And tonight it’s 2 hours also but I think the first hour is recap also, I need to look that up but at least it starts at 8 tonight.

These are just adorable and absolutely perfect baby cards! Very creative.
I can’t imagine that you can read all of these responses, but I had to add in that you have been such a source of inspiration for me in making baby cards. My sister is expecting any minute and back in Nov. I CASE’d your bottle card for her shower invitations. Now she is wanting me to do her announcements, and I am definitely sending her this as an option. Thank you so much for your creative inspirations! I also think I might have Daisy’s brother or cousin in my house! They look so much alike!
Lauren!! You are so creative and always thinking out of the box! I LOVE THESE!! Absolutely fabulous.
Hi Lauren,
Thanks for yet another brilliant idea. My only gripe is - where were you when I was making cards for the arrivals of my great-nieces/nephew lol!! Still, my elder son’s friend is expecting a little blue bundle of joy later this year so I think I’ll be another one case-ing your design.
Glad to hear all of the kids are going well, I’m sure Alexa will be back to her usual self very soon. You must be counting down the months until the chemo is finally all over. Good luck with the sitter hunt, unfortunately it’s a long way from Western Australia or I’d offer to sit for you.
Cheers,
Sharon
OMGosh Lauren these are totally adorable! How did you cut the sides so they’re even? Wish I were closer so I could babysit for you. I could always take a road trip!
Oh, BTW, Dawn’s sister had a girl!
You’ve outdone yourself again!!!
These are so Absolutely Adorable!!
Your talent is really showing…extremely!!
These are the perfect baby cards…CASING.
Thanks for sharing.
Glad to here that your children are feeling better.
I hope that you get that sitter and are able to
go out and have a great time.
Take care mf…
Dee
Loved the onsie card. Awesome job on them. I couldn’t have bought my kids up with out putting a onsie on them first every day.
Wish I could recommend a babysitter to you but ours went off to college this year. sniff sniff. She only lived a couple of blocks from you too. We are now in the same boat as you only our problem is that we have an eleven year old who is almost ready to be home on his own and no way is he going to be happy with a fourteen year old babysitter. In a couple of years he might be ready to babysit for you. He is very responsible! I’ll keep my ears open for you. Ann
These cards are so cute, so creative!!! It’s always good to have some cards on hand.
These are sooo adorable, Lauren!! I love them all!! The scallops are the perfect trim!!
Oh so darling! These are the sweetest little cards I’ve ever seen! I am in awe. You should submit a few of these for publications. I have a question … I cannot tell if the onesie is actually on a full and folded card, or if it actually is the card and you just shot it on backgrounds? How did you cut into the sides? Curious georgette must know cuz I love em so much.
thank you kindly.
Lauren, these are the cutest things I think I’ve ever seen! You are amazing, and I wish I had just a tiny pinch of your creativity! I’d love to do these for my daughter-in-law’s thank you notes, but I bet it would take me a day to figure out the first one! Thank you so much for inspiring all of us…I wish I could do something to help you and repay you for sharing!!!

I LOVE these! I made onesie birth annoucements for my s-i-l when her son was born last year. They are so cute. i love how you used the scallop punch around the neck and legs holes. That makes it even cuter. May have to make a new stash. Did I mention I really love these. You are so talented!

ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!!!!!!
Hi Lauren - Great cards! Thanks for sharing and providing a tutorial. I’ll be using your tutorial again and again this year. Checkout my blog at http://mariasstudio.blogspot.com/ for my first two tries.
Hi Lauren - Hope I’m doing this the right way - I’m really pretty new to the wonderful world of SU. I just love your onesie card and I had to make it for my supervisor’s son and his wife. They just had their first. I was wondering what you did to cover the prongs on the button brads - or did you just leave them exposed on the inside of the card? Thanks for your help.

Some very intresting ideas and comments. I came across this page whilst looking for cheaper energy prices [/url]http://cheaperenergy.wordpress.com My bills haven risen by 35% this year and am now facing yet another increase by these greedy energy companies. (Thankfully I only rent so don’t have to worry about a mortgage as well.) Has anyone tried this green and cheap renewable energy? If so, be intrested to know how it worked for you.
