Here is a peek

party-time-peek.jpg

Here is what Katie had to say

From the moment i laid my eyes on the stamps being released this month, one caught my eye!  A plane in the clouds!  And with my youngest turning 2 in just a couple short weeks, i also knew that i wanted to create a boy party themed shoppe.  To find out more visit Katie Cotton !Now it is MY turn to share.

When I released my first little peek for the September Release, MANY of you speculated to the fact that this release was a “bird” theme. Many thought that the peek was a sweet little birdhouse. Obviously your inital thought was wrong, but still possible. I thrive on ideas, and you all got my creative wheels turning so no one would be disappointed.

birdhouse.JPG

This was one of my SIMPLEST projects ever!

Now you know that the Shop Around & Accessories Mega Template was designed so that you can make it into endless themed shoppe/house ideas, as our NEW! products will show you, and while none of them were specific to birds, you can still use the Shop Around & Accessories Mega Template  to create your own stunning birdhouse gift box or home decoration!

When creating my birdhouse I printed my Down to Earth paper first. I so love the design-which was created based on the Killer Curves flowers! So that set is a perfect match to this!

husedorbird.JPG

I then resized the file to 65%. I didn’t want it to be too big for my bird :D I also used my Cricut ot cut my hole too :D

roseisrosetop.JPG

I used the Custom Construction Material paper to create my roof pattern. The tag was cut from my Cricut. On it I used the Tending the Garden Stamp set, with the little bird from the Just For You set. My ribbon is from May Arts.

birdie-hole.JPG

The little bird peeking out is from Michael’s Craft Store! Isn’t is so pretty? Really makes this bird house theme a WOW! I even added little plastic bird eggs to the inside!

spool-ribbon-bottom.JPG

Now for my birdhouse base, I recycled an old spool of ribbon!! I just covered it, and kept a piece of the ribbon on the sppol to coordinate my project :D (and hide the cardboard base!).

I made a stand I simply scored some of the patterned cardstock every 1/2 inch, until I had a square “tube”. It is quite sturdy!!

 birdiehse.JPG

I can see this sitting as a centerpiece on tables at a Wedding all over the world!

For a Fab Purse-On

Aug 3, 2010 Author: mytime | Filed under: Uncategorized

OK here we are again!

Are you ready for more creative ideas and inspiration from myself and my team?

Today Pam Imholz and Geny Cassady have some samples. Make sure you pay them a visit :D You won’t be sorry :D

Today I am going to share an enlarged version of the Tuck-ered Out © template.

handlestotepurse.JPG

Not only is tuck-ered out a FAB gift box and or party favor but it also makes the PERFECT purse!!

I enlarged it to 155%!

It ends up measuring 5 1/4 inches across, 3 3/4 inches tall, 3 1/2 inches deep. LOVE IT!

I was obviously in love and inspired by the awesome Shopping Shirley’s Sweetheart Paper Bag collection for my colors. You just can’t go wrong with pink and brown!!

fab-purse.JPG

This template comes with a handle piece (also enlarged to 155%) that I added to the top in a Ganache cardstock, with sweet little brads.

The ribbon is from May Arts :D

so-fab.JPG

The tag was made to look like a price tag. I stamped my gift image from the Money Well Spent set in a chocolate ink and colored them in. I stamped the SALE on the tag.

fabclsup.JPG

The main center image is stamped with the sentiment For A Fab Purse-On. It is layers on the Shopping Shirley’s Sweetheart Paper Bag purse pattern and a scallop oval cut with my Cricut machine (I LOVE IT!)

I made my decorative flap/back layer but cutting the template again in the patterned paper, the cuttin off the side panel –>PERFECTION!!

Now you *may* be wondering what is inside!

largetotesetin.JPG

Godiva truffles! An entire 10 oz. bag of them!!

I LOVE Godiva chocolate. Raspberry Starfish are my personal FAVORITE. SO a gift like this would make me fall over with a feather.

Now keep this in its originally intended size and this would be a ultra awesome party favor or gift for the girls at the office or ANYWHERE really!

TIP: I put a magnet on the inside of the tab, and then on the inside of the front slot so this stay securely closed :D Gotta love that!

Are you all enjoying the projects we’ve had to share far this week?

There is more to come :D

Today you will want to check in on

  • Stephanie Kraft
  • Tracey Cuccia
  • They both have some stunning projects to share with you!

I have been on a purple kick the last few months. Since it is my favorite color I try to use it as often as possible :D I had realized that while this was a favorite color of mine, I rarely USED it.

Today I thought it would be great to share a project using The Flapper © and the NEW! Killer Curves set.

    tuck-lout.JPG

This project was increased in size by 15% using my Sure Cuts A Lot program and my Cricut machine. I just increased each template by that much so I could get a larger box . So each piece was sized to read to 115%

Now this box has some wonderful decorative panels that make decorating it easy, but I wanted to show you that you can get a striking gift set without all the layers if you want.

This project took like 12 minutes to make :D Now THAT is what I love :D It would take me longer to drive to a store and would certainly cost far more than I would want to spend, and wouldn’t look as wonderful! When you MAKE your packaging it turns into a gift within itself!

    top-flapper4tag.JPG

I achieved a lot of WOW factor here by using black to make this really stand out. The purple just POPS against it.

I used the Killer Curves Cut file with the polka dot frame from the Killer Curves set. The frame fits really nicely with all the extra layers. I stamped it in a purple pigment ink by SEI.

    tag-flap-purp-det.JPG

I used my markers to ink up the flower image. The shades of purple against the back really make this interesting.

The sentiment is from the Tending the Garden ©  set, and reads “To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides” I think that sentiment is so heartwarming.

    tagflatpurpto.JPG

I am not yet sure what I am packaging up in here, but I know it will fit something fabulous :D

For the front I used a shimmery ribbon from May Arts to tie the box closed. That is one of the funnest parts about this template, you can finally really use and show off those stunning ribbons we all tend to hoard.

     bfly-det-purp.JPG

I definitely felt the need to add a butterfly embellishment from the All A Flutter set. It just went perfectly with this closure. I used the Flutters and Flower cut file to cut it out of purple cardstock. I stamped it in black ink, then colored it with my copic markers and then added soem stickles! Everything is better with GLITTER!

    top-flappurp.JPG

I think it looks so pretty don’t you?

    Update on my mother

Jun 21, 2010 Author: mytime | Filed under: Uncategorized

Hi everyone-this is a family post so read at your own discretion.

I’m making this very quick, as I am heading out the door!

Those of you who have followed MY MOTHERS STORY <— CLICK to read I have an update for you, and if you get a chance, and believe in prayer, say a quick one for my family today please.

I am heading out the door today to go to court with my mom. Last time we went to court her husband/and his lawyer agreed there was enough evidence to not fight against being held in jail without bail for 90 days.

Well the 90 days are up, and since that time my mom has had to appear before a jury to hear her side of thestory (and his) so they could decide if the charges of attempted murder as well as several others were appropriate for this case. It was decided that yes, they were and they also added a kidnapping charge to that as well.

Today is VERY important because it will be decided if they hold her husband in jail until is trial, or if they will let him out on bail.

Please just pray there is enough reason to hold him where he belongs until he has a fair trail. I know my mother will not be safe if he is released, due to a particular incident that occurred, and many details that I cannot disclose. There is always much more to story.

It’s been a very tough week for me as I also lost my two fur-babies (my cats Moo-moo and Lovey) this past Monday.

    They were 14 years old.

When most people get their first apartment they worry about furniture and things like that, my first purchase were my two cats! Being in a house of a dog lover growing up, we weren’t allowed to have cats. I always wanted one, so that is the first thing I did! They’ve been with me almost half my life!

I had them since they were 4 weeks old! I planned on ONLY getting ONE kitten, but when I showed up, while the 3 other litters of kittens this woman had (we won’t go into my thoughts on that situation!) the two of them were cuddled together sleeping, then when they awoke they cleaned each-other!! I couldn’t separate them, so I took them both!

I had to bottle feed them because they were still so young. They were brother and sister, and they needed someone because thier mother got run over by a car.

Long story short, they’ve both battled kidney issues since they were 5. My little boy cat-Moo-moo had more of the kidney issues over the last 5 years. For some time he’s been urinating blood. There has been nothing we can do, as we have done everything we could the last few years.

Anyway, come to find out, over the weekend prior we realized they were both urinating pure blood, and were suffering with pain daily. They came into this world together, and left this world together. The two of them slept and played together daily for the last 14 years. I’m heartbroken. My dog Daisy has barely eaten all week. She use to sleep with them too. Its really hard.

Alexa is also pretty ill today, so my husband is taking her to the doctor for that, and I pray everything checks out OK.

I really hate to be such a downer today, but this is what is going on in my life. Tomorrow will be a better day, and some prayer can help all situations. I’m just running on empty this week.

In light of my DOWNER issues I would like to hear about something GOOD that is going on with each of YOU! I think hearing good news of others always brightens people’s day. It can be big news or something you are just happy about or proud of! SHARE!!!

On a GOOD note from me we are going on a family vacation very soon and the kids couldn’t be more excited! They are at great ages and I am really looking forward to time with them.

    OK gotta run!!

    Thanks for stopping by
