  • Month after the month the team and I work hard to show you the versatility in our great products, and bring you unique ways to package up everyday items and make them look so special! I cannot tell you how fun this is for me. I pinch myself each month that I get to share what I love with the world, and when I see all of our customers creations :D So thank you!

One of the things I love most is going back and using our older products with NEW! products. I love mixing and matching everything from the past with the present.

I wanted to share another idea with you using BOTH our new templates, but using our older products. Sometimes I don’t have enough time in one month to showcase and create everything I really want to, and this gives me time to do just that.

With Winter in full effect I was inspired by a recent snowfall to create my two projects today. One being masculine, and one being girly!

Here is my masculine take on the Pull Tab Up: Octagon

    Have a Ball

Sara has a real flair for creating boy themed paper. Her colors are always so inspiring to me. I love using paper as my starting point because there isn’t much left for me to brainstorm once my colors are picked. I’m not great at picking fun and unique color combos on my own as I tend to lean towards the same colors all the time if it is left up to ME to pick! LOL! So I started by picking my pattern from the Flakes & Fuzzies Set 1 of 3 ©  collection.

There are SO many pretty snowflakes to choose from in the It’s Snowing © cut file, that it is hard to choose just one! But I did pick one for this creation, and I love it. I was a SIMPLE accent but really made this stand out. The snowflakes from the It’s Snowing © cut file coordinate with the Flakes & Fuzzies paper collections, but also have a coordinating digital stamp set: It’s Snowing ©! I have yet to get my most use of that set, but hope to soon.

Now another detail. AS simple as it is….the sentiment “Have a ball!” that is stamped on the top layer, comes from the On Display 1 © . This would make the perfect gift for anyone, any age, any time of the Winter season.

This box would be great for packaging up a free pass to go sledding or snowboarding. That is what I plan on packing in here!

OR you can put winter themed items in here, maybe some gumballs, or other candies in here too.

I love both of these boxes. I think I could just use them OVER, and OVER again.

    Now for my girly version!

    Sending you warm fuzzies!

I thought this would be perfect for packing up a cute hat, some mittens or even a pair of warm socks. I always find the cutest items like that in our local dollar store, or in the dollar section of Michaels or Target!

Last month we released some AMAZING new products, that I wasn’t able to fully use to their potiental! I was so inspired by all the coordinating items that I pulled it all together in this project.

The project started with the snowflake pattern paper from the Femmie Flakes & Fuzzies © collection. I applied the pattern to all four panels of my box. Nothing fancy! I generally always use some sort of paper collection for my starting poitn so I have some direction on what colors I want to use.

The sentiment in the lower right hand corner is from the ADORABLE Warm Sentiments © set. I just love it.

My mittensthat are hanging off the box were made using the Frost Bitten © cut file. I shrunk it down to suit my project needs. I believe I decreased the size to 50%. The snowflake on my mittens came from the Secret Santa ©  set. I added a wired cord to the mittens and strunk it through the tab hole in my box. I couldn’t resist adding a snowflake to this box as well using the It’s Snowing © cut file.

While I haven’t packaged anything in here yet…I am thinking ahead! I give lots of gifts in the Winter, so this should come in handy soon. I *may* even package up a scent-sational bath ball! What is better than a nice HOT bath on a COLD winter day?!

    Completed Project Size:

    6 Inches Tall

    3 3/4 Inches Wide

    2 1/2 Inches Deep

This template got its name not only from its “design” but for all the people and gifts this box can “cover” with one purchase!

This Pretty Packaging Template can become Santa, worker elf (we have an ADORABLE set of 5 elf images releasing called Holly Jolly-wait till you see it!), or scarecrow’s overalls, overalls for both boy and girl, scarecrow body, an apron for the baker, or gardener, and it can become a handyman’s apron!

    More of that to come!

This template includes a decorative panel for easy layering, belt with buckle, two pockets and of course some snaps to keep those straps in place!

Here I used mine as a baking apron, to packaged up some VERY INEXPENSIVE Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix (I think it was 62 cents!), which is a great little gift for anyone on your list. You can package any Jiffy mix in here! This could become a great favor for a baking themed party, or to give to a child for a future “cooking” leeson! So many ideas cross my mind.

So speaking of ideas, and Jiffy mixes-Check out their website! They have many mixes and recipe ideas. You could give a mix, with a recipe card with it! Simple, easy & inexpensive. Plus I already designed this sample to inspire your design idea :D The Farmhouse Fresh Paper Collection is a perfect match to this classic box design!

    Here are a few idea’s:

Fill with homemade treats, mixes, breads, soup, gifts in a jar, desserts, cupcakes, candies, baking items, recipes, seed packets, gardening items, mini potted plants, items for co-coworkers/teacher, utensils, gift cards to a favorite supply store, homemade candles/soaps, as well as tool or tool themed items. Makes an adorable party favor for so many events and holidays.

So some details about my sample:

My sample here uses the NEW! Farmhouse Fresh Paper Collection for my apron “fabric”. On my pockets, I stamped some cherries from the Well Preserved © set.

In the pockets are is an oven mitt, spatula, and whisk from the NEW! What’s Cookin’ set. The little tag was made using a fun sentiment from our  NEW! Yummy Sentiments set. To literally “tie in” the baking theme I used some bakers twine to tie it to the apron.

My “trim” on the apron was created using the Border Builders Open Scallop © cut file!

    There are SOOOOO many possibilities.

Here is more info about the stamps:

    For my Bee-Loved!

Apr 30, 2011 Author: mytime | Filed under: Uncategorized

    Welcome back everyone!

I’m so excited to announce that the May Release products are finally available!

CLICK HERE to check out what’s NEW!

Each month is so exciting, and just when I think the last one was my favorite, then next release becomes #1! LOL! It’s great to love what you do isn’t it?

In honor of our release we are having our monthly Group Post.

The team, and myself are all sharing 4 amazing card creations using the NEW! Bee-Loved & Sentiments stamp sets :D

    Be sure you visit:

  • Kristin Bueter
  • Catherine Doucette
  • Debbie Marcinkiewicz
  • Katie Cotton
  • Lisa Kind
  • Monique Hansen
  • Pam Imholz
  • Tangii Crain
  • and our May Guest: Teresa Kline!!
  • Now I’d love to share my sample with you all.

    My Bee-Loved Set

    Is this not stunning?

You all know just how much I LOVE making complete gift sets, so I decided to make 4 cards, with a coordinating template to package them up in.

There is nothing more stunning than creating the TOTAL package! I love the results I get from the receiver when everything coordinates :D It is just too fun, and our products make it EASY to do.

Here my cards are packaged perfectly in a old Pretty Packaging Template.

Can you guess which one by looking at it?

If you guesses the Berry Sweet Basket © then you would be correct!

It easily holds all 4 of my cards, with room to add some decadent treats :D

All I did was remove the basket weave pattern from the side panels of the Berry Sweet Basket ©, and created a 1 1/2 inch circle for my handle of my “tote” bag. The side panels are made using the back panel of the Berry Sweet Basket ©,cut twice, but resized to 3 inches wide :D I then just created a bottom from a rectangle to fit my tote bottom.

    Easy Peasy!

Now the Berry Sweet Basket © has a whole new use!! Isn’t that exciting?

Keep in mind we do have a fun tote already made without alteration needed: Tote-All Package ©

Now if you are wondering where I got that stunning tulip that adorns my Berry Sweet Basket © made tote bag, that is the NEW! Trendy Tulip Cut File!!!!

Tulips are my favorite flower, and now I have a fun 3 D version!!

I’m in love with the Trendy Tulip cut file! I cannot say enough about it.

    This is the inside view:

If you look inside a real tulip, it looks just like this :D

You can add these to a variety of  Pretty Packaging Templates, cards, frames, tags, you name it!!

Now for my Trendy Tulip I cut my petals from red cardstock, but sponged it lightly with black ink! I know, it sounds crazy, but it worked to perfection!

The Trendy Tulip come with the petals and leaves because you can have so many stem options. You can use pencils, cardstock, wire, artificial stems, straws wrapped in floral tape…you get the idea.

Here I just created a D shape stem, in the length I wanted. I sponged it with a pigment ink for a more realistic look.

    Now for my label

Sweet as can bee! I love it! Simply perfect. I stamped the sentiment on an oval then layered it onto a scallop oval. The little bee is from the Bee-Loved set, which was cut out using the My Bee-Loved cut file

Now I always say to make sure the back of your packaging is as pretty as the front…

that being said this is the back!

I used the same style as the front, using the Flutters and Flowers © text pattern, put my bow in the center, and added my sweet bee from the Bee-Loved set, which was cut out using the My Bee-Loved cut file.

    Now for the cards!

I was going to make a set of 4 all the same design, using the tulip from the Bee-Loved set, but I love to show you versatility, so I made them all different.

I used almost all the images within the  Bee-Loved set!

    Tender Tulip

    Hello, My Friend

    Missing my Honey

    Thinking of you

The yellow of all the cards has stickles on it! It gives a subtle bling :D

I had so much fun with each card. I think getting 4 different cards as a gift makes it more fun for the person receiving it. I love that each one suits a different occasion too.

When I get in a rut or want to create a gift set with a real WOW! factor I always turn to the black and white with a POP of color. I think you will agree that this is definitely striking.

Well I hope you enjoyed today’s project!

There is so much more to come tomorrow :D

    See you then!

    Pretty Palette 05

Apr 17, 2011 Author: mytime | Filed under: Uncategorized

    Hi everyone

    Sorry this is late :C

I had a computer crash Friday (thank goodness we have a laptop, and just bought another device to back everything up), and then guests all weekend, as we celebrated Easter with my side of the family this weekend (which was last minute), since my mom’s surgery got moved up to this Friday. So I’m running crazy, to say the least.

So let me share the color swatch with you first!

    Keyword MTMEPPC05

Click here for challenge details and to add your own creation!

I have my card for the Pretty Palette Challenge 05 to share with you.

I kept it soft and simple!

I stamped a white layer with my images, and layered it under the vellum panel, for that soft, subtle look.

I chose to use the Fanciful Flourishes ©, with the flowers from the Take Time © set.

My circle icon is from the Just For You ©  set with the butterfly from the Tending The Garden © 50 Images.

    Quick and easy!

Well that is it for me. I’m back on the run.

Tomorrow we have school meetings, and this week if full of appointments with my mom, so wish me luck!

I hope you all get some creative time in!

    Be back tomorrow.

Pretty Pattern 05 and a peek!

Apr 13, 2011 Author: mytime | Filed under: Uncategorized

    Hi everyone!

    I’m back again.

It is ALMOST the weekend, and I don’t know if its the dreary weather, or what but this week seems to be in slow motion! I am looking forward the the weekend, and crossing my fingers for some nice weather, to brighten the mood around here.

Well today hopefully our Pretty Pattern Sketch 05, and a peek at out digital release (which is tomorrow) will brighten your day, and get you inspired to get creative this weekend.

    Use Keyword MTMEPPS05

Click here to view the details and enter your creation!

(P.S. You will also want to see what the team has done with the new images.)

    Now here is mine.

    True Friend

I used a NEW! Pretty Impressions Digital set called My Little Friend.

Isn’t she co cute? I had a blast coloring her in. I definitely love to color so this new line is perfect for me. My card colors were inspired by my Flower Fusion © pretty patterned paper!!

She is holding her sweet little friend with both hands, hence the sentiment in this set :D I stamped the sentiment on the bottom of my layer instead of using patterned paper.

For the “circle” layer, I chose to use the NEW! On Cloud 9 © cut file, with some stickles to add some bling and texture :D

    I also added some dimension!

I printed my image twice so I could add some POP to select parts of the image! I really love have cards with some interest, and that are not flat.

So my mushroom top, girls arm, catepilar, and flower bloom, are 3D.

    Too cute!

Well that is it for me today.

You will definitely want to return tomorrow to see the new release items!

    Enough said for now.

How are you all enjoying the projects so far?

Be sure to visit the MTME Blog for our latest Pretty Palette Challenge!

I know I had a blast with everything this month :D

It’s funny how excited I feel every release. I always think THIS ONE is the best. Each new template has me head over heels and each month I get a new favorite! LOL! I think the best part is, each month when I go to link the product and I view MY STORE I think WOW! How did I ever come this far? It’s amazing really. Now I have an amazing library of gift packaging to use anytime I want to give a gift, and look amazing :D Seriously most people I gift these completed packages to never even care what is inside! LOL!

Today we have a lot more to share with you so pay a visit to:

  • Debbie Marcinkiewicz
  • Tangii Crain
  • Well let’s start today off with some “repurposing”!

I like to try to make everything as versatile as possible, and while not every single one CAN be, I have to say every element of the Keep It Template is useful :D

This particular template comes with 3 “templates” which are used to create the finished product Keep It. Each one as useful as the other. So,today I thought I would share a  new use for one of the three templates that come in the Keep It Template!

    A Stack of Drawers

This is the drawer file, that is to be used on the bottom of the template!

A very sweet 3 drawer gift set, complete with hand stamped patterned paper, pearl drawer pulls!

Now think about the fun things you can package or sort/store in this beauty!

    Mini note cards

    Ghirardelli chocolate squares

    A photo box :D

    Hair accessories

    Jewelry (especially handmade)

    craft supplies

    endless possibilities!

I cut the 3 drawer bases in a gray cardstock, and the actual drawers in a lemon cardstock.

I stacked the files (adhering them together) then made my decorative panels.

I love the color combination of this, and the elegance of the finished product.

This ribbon is actually quite stunning in person.

It matches perfectly because it has the hues to yellow/gold as well as the hues of the gray/silver in there.

My wire butterfly was the perfect little addition to this but you can add a charm, monogram tag, mini bird, flower, or whatever else you want to dream up.

    Now the paper!

I made it myself,  by repeatedly stamping  one of the flower silhouette from the  Occasional Labels © set in a pale gray ink, then using my markers to color the flowers. I added a little more yellow to each bloom by using a dimensional gel pen!

I also used a larger silhouette flower from the Framed Elegance © set. That was stamped in the same gray ink, but stamped off once, then restamped for a very subtle, but stunning “filler” in a larger scal, to take up some of the white space.

Supplies from My Time Made Easy ™ LLC

    Pretty Packaging Templates: Keep It

Pretty Impressions Stamp Set: Framed Elegance, Occasional Labels

So I hope you liked my take on this template.

I have another great idea to share tomorrow, so I hope to see you then!

    “a” Easter Surprise

Apr 1, 2011 Author: mytime | Filed under: Uncategorized

    Welcome back everyone!!

I have a special project to share with you today!

You will also want to visit:

  • Katie Cotton
  • Kristin Bueter
  • Lisa Kind
  • My project today used the NEW! Berry Sweet Basket © template.

The idea for this template came from my little crafty sidekick Amber :D

She may only be 6 but she has endless ideas. You have to love the imagination of a child. I really try to see the world through her eye’s. Let me tell you, she has quite the imagination, and is always telling me what to do and how to do it. She is a lot like me, the older she gets! LOL! Her daddy agrees.

She said to me one day while out shopping (something we do often) at the craft store ”Mom I have an idea! You are always spending so much money on a ton of baskets, why don’t you make your own paper one?”  (she gets her thrifty nature from her father’s side for sure! She always trying to save me $! LOL!)

Sad but true. I DO spend money on baskets all the time, to then end up getting rid of them in a yard sale. Baskets are timeless, gender neutral and EASY way to gift something. This basket is pretty enough all in its lonesome! No bells and whistles needed.

Now I know I’ve done “basket style” templates before, so I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do, but promised her I’d entertain her idea. I knew I wanted it to be different than anything else as well, so I was perplexed a bit.

Amber went on to tell me “It has to be BIG, so you can fit lots of cool stuff in it!” So I said, “Amber what do you consider BIG?”. She giggled and said I don’t know, like as big as this shopping cart! Now THAT would be a cool basket. I could fits tons in it!” .

I looked at the basket and said “ Amber you are absolutely right! That WOULD be a cool basket. Look at these sides! I love that idea. You are so smart!” She replied “I know”!

So we went home and got crackin. The finished product met her approval, so I knew I was good :D

     ”a” is for Amber

I put this Easter Basket together for Amber, in honor of her idea :D (I will definitely have to make one for the other 2 kids too! Thankfully I have time)

Amber had found this bunny at the store, and for some odd reason loved it. So I told her we would buy it for Gabby (her cousin). My real plan was to give it to her with this basket.

I cut my template from celery cardstock, and added a fuschia strip to the handle. I added some Prima flowers to the handle ends, and used a flower brad. Simply sweet!

I wanted to keep it simple, but still embellish it, so I customized the tag instead!

I decided to use a lowercase “a” for Amber. I felt the lowercase “a” was more cute, fun and whimsical. I love how it just hangs from my ribbon, and can later be used for something else she may want to add it to.

I stamped the flourish on the “a” from Fanciful Flourishes ©in a green ink , and added flowers ink fuchsia from the Singing Silhouette ©  set. I adore the shape of those flowers in that set!

The butterfly is from my very first set All A Flutter © ! I decided to use the cris cross pattern in the wings, since it matched the pattern in my basket. It was cut out using the Flutters and Flowers Cut File.

    In the basket:

    Jump Rope

    2 ceramic statues with paint

    bubble

    2 photo bracelet kits

    butterfly shaped chalk

    butterfly magnifying glass

Body wash & Lotion from Bath & Body Works

    lip gloss

Supplies from My Time Made Easy ™ LLC

Pretty Packaging Templates: Berry Sweet Basket

Pretty Impressions Stamp Set: Fanciful Flourishes, All A Flutter

Pretty Pieces Cut File: Flutters and Flowers

    So there you have it!

I hope you will MAKE your own Easter Baskets and other crafty gifts this year! Don’t forget to try it WITH the kids too :D

My kids LOVE paper crafting (OK well 2 out of the 3 anyway).

I’ll be back with more tomorrow.

You will also want to check in with the MTME blog tomorrow beause it is our Pretty Palette Challenge.

    See you then.

Desk organization has never looked more amazing!

There are 3 template pieces to this template, and each one is amazing on it’s own as well (as you will see in the coming week!).

Now you can sort and organize your creations and desk items in style. Make one for everyone, or make one for yourself!

It includes everything you need to quickly and easily make amazing gifts.

If you have lots of desk items that you need to “keep” organized then this is the template for you!

This template is made to help you sort standard a A2 size (4 1/4 inch X 5 1/2 inches) cards and envelopes in the back pocket, as well as organize your custom made Rolodex of names, numbers, and email/home addresses in the front pocket!

Here in my Keep It! Template I created a set of 8 essentially blank cards!

I used one of the floral silhouette images from Occasional Labels, and one of the birds from the Singing Silhouette Stamp Set, to make my own patterned paper.

This is a close up view of my tag:

I cut my tag with the Occasional Label Cut File then stamped the solid frame  in blue, then overstamped the text frame over it. I stamped my floral silhouettes, then added my sentiments of choice!

I assembled all the cards, and then used the Occasional Labels, cut with the  Occasional Label Cut File and the Sentimental Occasions to create a bunch of tag combinations, complete with dimensionals, so they can customize the card to suit any occasion needed!

Look at some of the sentiment buliding possibilities!

When someone is ready, they ust pick a label sentiment, and adhere it to the blank card front just like this…

I tucked the label in the drawer.

    Perfect gift idea!

The  drawer is a great addition to the template for you to keep stamps, paperclips, pens, erasers…whatever you need to sort, all tucked away.

Now we did the detail part, here comes the organization part!

There is NOTHING like being organzied, but better than that is making organization stylish and functional.

Now we get to the Keeping Tabs File Divider Large (for the large back pocket)

This file is perfect for sorting your projects by occasion, days of the week, month!

To help you better do that I designed a set called:

Keep It Organized Set of 57 images $20

*also available in a digital download for $12*

This set was designed for you to get it, and KEEP IT organized! Now you can organize your creations and categorize your card creations by the need of use, the occasion, and/or the day of the week or month.

You can keep track of daily or monthly “to do’s” too.

Included in this set are the rolodex block: 3 inches wide X 2 inches tall

     Numbers: 0 through 9

Alphabet A through Z (in 3 letter block combination ie: A-B-C)

    Days of the week

    12 Months of the year

Rolodex category icons and sentiments: Name, Address, Phone (H), (W), (C)

Occasions/ Categories: Birthday, Thank you, Just Because, Holiday, Get Well, Receipts, Coupons, Blank!

    Imagine the organizing possibilities now!

Now I can easily sort, and find my Thank You cards, or a Sympathy card!

We move forward to the Keeping Tabs File Divider Mini (for the smaller front pocket)

You can organize a Rolodex to keep track of names, addresses (home/email), and phone numbers of those you love, or let the receiver of such a gift organize their own files!

Here you can see how I stamped the Keeping Tabs File Divider Labels with the alphabetized sentiments:

    Pretty nifty eh?

Just layer the tabs onto the Keeping Tabs File Dividers!

Then you just organize as you see fit!

The box grid from the Keep It Organized set will fit perfectly on our Keeping Tabs File Divider Mini!

The images fit inside the box to help you keep track of all the info you need to stay in touch with those you care about, or do business with.
