Flip it-A Saturday Sketch-Trio

Jan 5, 2008 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, Saturday Sketch

So today is Saturday! I LOVE Saturdays. Not just because I get to see what YOU do with my sketches, but because its the weekend, and there is ONE more day off from the hustle and bustle of LIFE!

Anyway-this week when stamping I made this card

mytime-thanks-horizontal-gg.jpg Thanks-

It used the “thanks” sentiment from the Thank You set, Green Grass Stamps. Tammy puts up a new sample with her sets, on her blog daily-you can see them HERE. Its pretty cool.

Anyway, so I stamped away. This was what I came up with.

Here is the sketch-click for larger view

sketch-29-2.JPG

Now upon photographing it I flipped it! I saw this when I did-

mytime-gg-thanks-sideways.jpg

SAME card-whole new look!!! Cool huh?? OK so its not a whole NEW card, but you’d never know right.

So, I decided to create ANOTHER card, using this sketch:

sketch-29-1.JPG click for larger view.

mytime-ipod-a-bella.jpg

Now talk about versatile huh?

I was so excited. Especially since I have never seen a sketch like this before. Talk about fresh, fun and funky! I also tried to use BRIGHTER colors. Me being in a spring mood and all, I wanted to get out of my “comfort” zone, and this was definitely OUT. But, I love it.

This card uses the ipodabella, the sentiment from Essential Sentiments (which are way popular!! I have had them on order for a friend for a few weeks! SOLD OUT-and rightfully so), Border’s and Corner’s and the Music Player.

Put them all together, and you get one HOT card 😀

The flowers are by Prima-Got Prints No 6. After pulling them out, I have been SO inspired by their colors 😀 Gotta get inspiration where you can right?

So that being said-get inspired. Do the sketch whichever way you see fit.

I’d love for you to send us a link here so we can all see your take!

NOW- as a EXTRA challenge-try it both ways!

Thanks for checkin in-

I wanted to let you all know that Amber is doing well. Thanks for the concern. Her antibiotics needed to be changed, but all is well.

Alexa did well this round of Chemo. She does have a thyroid issue, but otherwise seems good. I am so happy she is able to be in school FULL time!!! What a change since last year.

She gets the occasional cold, that brings me to my knee’s in prayer, that she will not get too compromised. She has one now, so we will see.

God is good. I just keep on going.

Daisy is also great. Lovin the snow-but her hiney is not wanting to poop in it anymore :C Leaving lots of “accidents”. But she is the BEST lil thing otherwise, so we will keep her! LOL!

She gained 3 lbs! And is at her half way mark for weight. She has gotten stronger, and takes running leaps up onto the couch.

She also runs UP the snowbanks, and flattens her paws to “slide” down. Its WAY cute. She has quite the personality. OK Now Im an official crazy dog owner-right?

The kids lover and are very attentive. Sometimes too much.

She will be getting fixed on the 31st :C

OK I gotta run-get inking!

Till tomorrow…………………………….

Sketch time-On Sunday, and new products :D

Dec 30, 2007 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, Saturday Sketch

OK is it just me or is everyone feeling so tired and LAZY! Sorry Im so out of it, but I feel entitled! I update my blog everyday-and have taken a small break here and there. So I say “Good for me!” LOL!!!!

This is my fun plae, and I’m determined to not let it be WORK.

Now I feel WAY behind, and have tons to share.

So be prepared-lots to see in this post.

I am still recovering from the holiday!

My tree is still up, and this whole week I didn’t shower till dinner time! So not like me-lazing around, but I have enjoyed it. I did get some serious stamping stuff done 😀 Most of it is soon to be released stuff though. Oh wait till you see all the goodies the companies I work for are coming out with this NEW YEAR!! Think tax return! LOL!

I HATE taking photo’s and editing-although my NEW!! photo editing software ROCKS :D. I am really getting the hang of it I think.

So, enough of the blah, blah, blah, want a peek at a new set? Oh and the sketch! LOL!

I didn’t realize how many people WAIT for it, till I got  a bunch of emails, asking when it would be posted 😀

Alright, get ready to SQUEAL WITH DELIGHT!

Here is the sketch-

sketch-28.JPG click to enlarge

Here is the sample 😀

mytime-pretty-piggy.jpg You make me squeal!

How cute is this image?? Its from one of the new sets called Love Ya Lots.

Christine from C.C. Designs is releasing 2 NEW! sets on January 7th, in time for Valentines! They are called-Love Ya Much, and Love Ya Lots.

To me, the coolest thing is that they aren’t JUST holiday friendly. I really feel like they are ALL year long-kind of images. Seriously cute! Not expensive-only $11.99 a set, they are not too big, for those who aren’t crazy about coloring (I LOVE to color, personally. Reminds me of being a kid :D), great sentiments included-love that, and irresistible!

So this was my FIRST card. I so love using Kraft, Red, Black and Pink!

I thought up this layout forever and a day ago, and finally got to use it.

The tag is by KI Memories, and its called an Icicle Candy. I had that forever too. Added a cinch more color. Originally I was to have my sentiment under the pig-BUT, I liked it along the side, so I could have my eyelets there instead 😀 Its fun to just play around with that kind of thing.

Notice what else I played with?

Something I have NEVER done before?

Nope, its not my super cool watermark I made all by myself………………..not the icicle candy…………….

Notice yet?

Its this

mytime-4-bucks-sew-machine.jpg

What do you think? “I” Lauren Meader, have actually sewn on a CARD!!!

Now, I am no dummy to sewing. I use to quilt before I got into stamping, but I couldn’t handle how LONG each creation took. I enjoyed shopping for and pairing the different color fabric’s and patterns, more that the sewing part.

I love the sewing people do on cards, but I have large, and expensive Singer sew machine (now at my MIL’s house), that is too big, and expensive to have in my stamp room to sew on PAPER!

So, using a sew machine wasn’t going to be an issue.

I have seen many buy the Janome sewing machine for about $40 on SALE!

I found this little machine at Rite Aid. Normally about $30. I got it at an after Christmas SALE for $3.99!!

How can you pass that up? Even if it was crappy, its was so cheap. No loss.

So I tried it out-works like a breeze! I have no adjusting to worry about. Sew’s on card-stock no problem! Its tiny, and just sits on my shelf. All I do is plug it in, and off I go. Yes, it does have a plug, and a pedal.

A 6 year old could work it. Now that is what I’m talkin about.

I am not one who will go all sew happy, enough to make a $40 machine worth the cost. Plus the space it would take up. I have alot of other MUST HAVE’s to come first.

There really isn’t anything fancy or fabulous to report, other than that its a cheap little machine, that easily gets the job done.

Wait till you see the other card I made using it (sewing machine) with the image you will see on this next card……………

Will you be my tweetheart?

mytime-ats-tweethearts.jpg This one is from the Love Ya Much set.

I couldn’t leave you “wondering” about the other set! I had to give you another peek!

This is also like the sketch above. Its shows you a bit of versatility, and how a whole new look can arise from a single sketch!

Instead of a hanging tag, I put a stamped heart 😀

I also made my layer’s overlap a bit. I kept the base a single layer.

What do you think of my tree leaves? They are the hearts from the set! Cute idea huh?

I love the spring colors on this too. These 2 birds are way too adorable! I think they are my favorite.

OK that’s it for tonight. I am so tired, and I have to go walk Daisy.  She is chasing the girls around the house, and hanging off their PJ bottoms. A little too much engery goin on there.

Till tomorrow.

Saturday Sketch Time

 Saturday Sketch

sketch-27.JPG

To all my girls in Cyberspace- MWAH!

As the end of this year approaches I want to take the time to thank you all who visit. All who offer friendship, uplifting words, support, comments, links, funny stories, tips, ideas, make me laugh, make me cry-ALL OF IT! Who even bother to read anything I write-who get inspired by anything I do. To all my proclaimed “stalkers”, that cracks me up, and I thank you for you feeling like “I” an stalker worthy! LOL!

Just a whopping MWAH! Thank you.

You have all shared a good part of my year here on my blog. Or on SCS.

I stared this blog in March, and have just gone forward from there.

I do this cause I LOVE sharing everything with anyone. This is my fun place. No stress, no work, just me having fun.

I have had an amazing year. I feel so blessed to have all that I do.

I bet you weren’t expecting me to go al sappy on ya, were you?

So that being said this card is for you.

It is our Saturday Sketch for today!! A great one to use those Bella‘s!! I know some of you have UNINKED Bella’s! I know I do.

mytime-bootylicious-mwah.jpg *MWAH*

This is me-(once I finish my New Year work out/diet routine-that helps me lost the 15-20lbs I want-that I do yearly! LOL!) Although, I don’t think my butt could EVER look like that-period! I do have the hair though.

Just go with it OK!

SO I used my super duper new Bella -MWAHBella. I got her this week at Stamping Memories, picked one up for a friend too. Its a great relationship there. I email them what I want, and lickety split, I get an email telling me to pick it up.

Gotta love it.

So, I kept her simple. You know me-I LOVE layers, and clean, and simple lines. I felt she was MWAH-LICIOUS! LOL!

I have a few more Bella cards I will share this week-one that I think knocked Emily (the queen Bella herself) out of her chair :D! Now that is always an honor, when you impress the person who owns the images!

Even when on Design Teams, I find it nerve racking to share my samples, with the creators. You are basically using THEIR creation, in your OWN way. What if they don’t like your “vision”? YIKES! Its very stressful-if you think about it. So I try not to.

OK back to the deet’s. I think I am definitely guilty of not going into the blah blah blah I used this cardstock……. and colored with copics for 22 minutes kinda stuff, and I am striving to get “better” at it. I personally find that type of info BORING. I like the why you did the card, or what inspired it, or some other random babble.

I do like names and links to stamp sets and certain products, but dont need every little detail, if I wanted it, I guess Id ask. I think it just shows how diverse we all are. Some people NEED every speck of detail.

So I linked/anmed my Bella.

I use Papertrey Ink whitefor my base (only white I will use), Kraft from SU!, and blue from Paper Salon.

Colored with Copic’s. I personally ONLY use Brilliance ink in graphite black

My flower is byBazzill. NOTE: They sell individual colors, but I truly reccommend the assortment to start 😀 I love these flowers because they are like fabric, and you can tie your ribbon through them-no problemo-no ripping-Like on my card 😀

Did you notice her head is cut and on a little dimension? Makes her peek right at ya!

OK that is all my friends.

Hope you enjoy the last minute festivities of the holiday season, because before we know it, the MONTH of planning will be gone in a flash.

We are going to see the Christmas lights tonight with the kids. Alexa is at her father’s. Im sad when she isn’t around for “family” stuff, especially the holiday stuff. Its her most favorite time of year. But I ALWAYS have her on ALL the holidays. I figure if I am the one who cares for her ALL the time, good and bad, then I deserve her for all of it. He can’t argue-he left her life for 3 years-then popped back. Can you say NO AGRUMENT there.

The ONLY good thing about her having “another” faux family, is when they want things YOU dont want to have to buy.

Alexa REALLY wants the toy Bird Talk.

If you dont know what Im talking about-its this HUGE Macaw like stuffed Parrot-that talks. You can teach it stuff to say and everything. VERY NOISY!!! Too big.

Anyway-I told Erik he HAD to get her that. Thankfully it will stay at his house 😀

Tomorrow I am spoending the day at my mom’s. We will celebrate out Christmas with my family then. Should be a nice relaxing day. My mom is a killer cook!!!

Then Monday its Jason’s family. Tuesday-Christmas day-We always stay home! We let the kids play with theri stuff all day. I hated beinga kid-opening all kinds of cool stuff, to then be dragged out of the house to someones house. We could bring ONE thing. ICK!!!

So, if people want to see us they are welcome to come on over.

WOW! way more than planned with this one.

If you are still with me-thanks! LOL!

Feel free to share what youa re doing for the holidays.

Also if you try the sketch-send me a link here so we can all see it. I dont think many of you will, but figured I’d post JUST IN CASE

Happy Holidays.

YEAH! Its Sketch time! Hope you are not FREEZING your hiney off. Its so cold here, and we are expecting a MEGA storm. I swear I am stamping today! I’m beginning to shake LOL! I think to its the busy time of year. I have most our wrapping done-Jason has been responsible for SENDING our Christmas cards-and you know what, they are still sitting here! GRRRR! I swear I will NOT mail them, I swear.

Daisy is doing great-when Jason tries to take her she want’s me-so she now has her own bed in my stamp room. I just need to pray I dont drop an acrylic stamp 😀 Thanks again for letting me share my Daisy love 😀

She is definitely sleeping throught the night-no problem-o! Just a little crying when its potty time to go outside. I got her the cutest sweater, and will share those photos soon.

I still have to do Amber’s Smilebox-from her Christmas Dance Recital. I really need to show you the video portion its so stinkin cute.

I have my usual Papertrey Ink  release party, hangover! LOL! I LOVE when a company release falls on a weekend! The worst part of it was, I was in such a flurry to buy what I wanted that I missed the 1/2 set ($5). I then went back and ordered it, and had to pay the $5.50 S/H.

Can you believe that? MORON! I’m so mad at myself. I should have taken my time, but NO! I had to get it in there asap. How about you? Did you get anything? Did you do the math contest? OK I totally got the wrong number cause of some of the questions, but that’s ok. I HATE math! It was a fun and stressful game all in one. I was typing as fast as I could. CRAZY!

Leave it to Nichole Heady to get us all going nuts. Too funny.

Oh well.

WHEW! OK card time.

mytime-lizzie-anne-cold-elements.jpg BRRRRR!

Well if you got your recent issue of Craft’s n’Things then you have something I don’t! LOL!

I hear I have 6 or 7 cards in there :D. I KNOW this is one of them, and it was my favorite! The set is Christmas in the City

So I am using THIS for the Saturday Sketch today! I CANNOT figure out how to do a slanted rectangle/square, so this is your template.

ANOTHER great way to use those SMALL images.

I colored these on glossy cardstock, with SU! Markers-back in the day before I had Copic’s!

I think its so cute.

I want to share another project that was published in last months issue of Craft’s n’Things!

mytime-lizzie-anne-snowman-latern-gift-set.jpg Lindt Chocolate Lantern

I loved this little tea light lantern when I saw it last year at Target. I still have 6 left to use for gifts 😀 Someday. You know the hoarder in me, wants to keep them for myself, forever.

I removed the top portion. Inside is a bag of Lindt Chocolates! I stamped the snowflake image on the bag.

It can later be used as a tea light (remove the ribbon/tag).

I used Vellum Cardstock, and punched the snowflake image on each panel. I put the vellum in FRONT of the glass panels-so they don’t catch fire when a tea light it lit.

All the details are in the magazine. I just wanted to share it with you here today 😀

So I will have some super cute stuff over the next week to share, if I get what in my head, onto paper.

So stay tuned 😀

Can you believe Christmas is next week? Where does the time go?

Saturday Sketch-Pretty Penguin

Dec 8, 2007 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, Saturday Sketch

Happy Saturday! My favorite day of the week!

I had a awesome day yesterday! Just awesome. Words cannot even say. Despite the fact I did NO stamping, it was great.

The people from Make A Wish called, Santa is coming to our house for Cocoa and Cookies Tuesday night!

Jason stayed home from work, we shopped, had lunch, just a fun day. No crowds either.

I got our yearly Christmas ornaments. Alexa got a gorgeous Make a Wish one! We always use to buy one anyway-except now it has more meaning.

I FINISHED my Christmas shopping! YEAH!! I know I said I wanted to be done by the 1st, but given the week long Flu and stomach bug I think I am happy to be done today! I didn’t get Jason done, but I just go around store to store and have fun with his stuff-no stress shopping KWIM?

Today I will wrap our gifts, and make Jason mail out the Christmas cards (I forgot to bring them on Thanksgiving! To save on stamps! LOL! Tacky yes, but hey can’t blame a girl for trying and wanting to be early for some people)

Now I want to give all you who have more than ONE child a easy tip for making the wrapping process EASIER-I buy each child their own special wrapping paper.

For instance

Alexa has Disney Princess, Amber has Dora, and Noah has Sponge Bob.

What is the deal with that you ask? Well, no need to LABEL each gift when wrapping, and on Christmas morning no one is accidentally opening the others gifts! They know they each have X Character wrap and thats what they go for! Each one gets a gift, and on the count of three they are allowed to open at the same time! Works great! No fighting 😀 If they all get a gift that is the same we put a X on it-so we know to have them open it together. This year they each get a themed Dance Mat. So that will get the X.

OK OK there I went WAY into my blah blah blah.

I know you are here to see a card!

Here is the sketch

sketch-26.JPG Click to enlarge

You know how much I LOVE penguins, and this new Little Penguins setis SO FLIPPIN CUTE! I love that its an all occasion penguin set. Finally! One I don’t feel strange using in JUNE! LOL!

To prove it-I used no “normal” penguin colors.

Think-chocolate chip, blush blossom, groovy guava, and old olive.

mytime-colorful-penguin-sketch.jpg Pretty Penguin

Is this not so cute? You know when I think penguins I ALWAYS think Black or Grey. So not the case. Here he is brown! And he is CUTE being brown, don’t you think?

I had alot of fun using these colors, especially with this image.

I really think I want to keep the FOCUS on helping you use those smaller images. Some are just WAY TOO CUTE, and go un-used. It’s sad that images like that don’t get the proper INKING time.

So todays sketch can help you use those images-unless you use a large one for the top panel-but still, really think about it. Ever have a little stamp you say “Oh is that not adorable. Too bad I won’t really ever use it” I know I HAVE!

Now is the time.

Here I am also going to share a couple more idea for you to FOCUS on the little images.

Happy Cupcake Day!

mytime-cupcake-day-mft.jpg

This cupcake image is from The icing on the cake set by MFT.

I used an acrylic frame by KI Memories (ice candy) to accent the little cake. I stamped the sentiment several times, in colors like in the frame using  versamagic ink. The trio of sentiments leads you eye down to the tiny image as well. I thought this was REALLY cute, and colorful, yet SIMPLE.

Some people think SIMPLE is always easy to achieve-not so. It can be even harder sometimes. The important thing is do whatever makes YOU comfortable. Stay true to your won style. I feel my “style” has endless possibilities. I can be simple, then get all distressy if I want to! LOL!

OK I feel like I’m straying from my point, and you all know how good at that I am! LOL!

Next up!

mytime-kissed-gift-mft.jpg A little gift

This image is from the same MFT set.

Again I used an acrylic frame-this one is from Making Memories.

Its important to not take the focus off the image, and over do it. They are little images, and can get LOST. I kissed the image with a flower fromBoho Blossom.

I also use Behind The Scenes, to create the pattern at the top. The petals are colored with my Black Copic Glitter Pen. The satin ribbon was from the Target gift wrap section (15 yds for $2.99!!).

Well I really hope this post helps you find new possibilities for old little stamps. That you may see them in a whole new light. Not just for creating backgrounds or accents on your projects.

I so hope you get to try the sketch, and link it here so we can all see it! I also hope you try the challenge! If you go out and use those little images, let me know! I want to see how you made them the focus of your creation.

Till tomorrow. I HOPE to get that tutorial done, but we will see. I have family stuff first. If not it WILL be sometime this week. I, of course ,do have other samples to share!! So stay tuned.

Saturday Sketch Sample

Dec 1, 2007 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, Saturday Sketch

mytime-penguin-sketch.jpgHere it is! This is a  SUPER quick post.

This cute liitle guy is from Little Penguins set. I love him!!!

Sorry I’m not able to be all chatty but I now have 4 out of 5 people here with the stomach bug!!

Guess who DOESN’T have it——ME! So I am the offical puke cleaner upper 😀 Good Times!!! I’m still feeling a little icky from the FLU, but mom can’t be sick when the WHOLE house is. COFFEE is my BEST FRIEND.

Alexa is with her father. That is FREAKIN me out. But I guess I have to trust him. Plus I think its good for him to get a TINY taste of what caring for a sick child is really like. He is way clueless. He NEVER stays at the hospital with her, nor has ever taken care of her when she wasn’t 100%.

Now I have to PRAY Alexa doesn’t get a fever. You know what that can mean-HOSPITAL! Even if its a virus she would most likely spend a good protion in the ER getting labs and whatnot. Then if it all checks out she can go home. Problem is she JUST had her spinal chemo which really lower’s her defenses.

Ok I gotta run.

Hope you get to try the sketch. It was nice taking a tiny breather. AND I had to share this cute image. LOVE IT! I know I said it. But, I do.

OK off I go.

Prayers appreciated.

Saturday Sketch

Dec 1, 2007 Author: mytime | Filed under: Saturday Sketch

sketch-24.JPG OK click to view it larger.

Sorry Im running ragged here. Lots to do today. I plan on making a card this morning-so you get a clean jump start!!!

Ill be back!

I’m so excited so many are so excited! I’ve gotten several emails asking WHEN it would be up! LOL!

So thanks for sharing your looking forward to this stuff with me.

I have a TON of way cool stuff planned again this week!!! So you will have to check back in OK!

OK I’m off to stamp.

BRRRRRRR! Baby its cold outside……..Sketch Time

Nov 24, 2007 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, Saturday Sketch

Well it’s getting to feel like winter! The chill is in the air.

I love snow-but only if I am staying warm and cozy AT HOME! I hate driving or traveleing in it-unless its Christmas Eve or Christmas day! That makes it all the more MERRY!

When I saw Snowbunny Bella, I HAD to have her!!! She is the most adorable thing.

I am unfortunately addicted to them. I had NO IDEA I had well over 30, until I put them all together into a large Prima Flower tin I had collecting dust. Some have never seen ink. They will soon though-I swear!

THANK GOD my local stamp store now carries them!! They get in the newest ones ALL the time! I just call ahead to check and to see if what I want is in. I am a happy girl! I hate waiting to get a shipment in the mail. Patience is NOT one of my virtue’s. AND it’s pretty nice to NOT have to pay for shipping.

So here is my FIRST time using her

mytime-bella-baby-its-cold.jpg  Sketch mytime-sketch-23.JPG Click for larger view

I thought she was the PURTY-ist (yes that is a word-my word LOL!) sketch. Great for those taller images, that you may get challenged with using 😀

I also used a CUTE set by The Cat’s Pajama’s for the sign, and sentiment called-Polar Holiday, and Poochie Christmas. You really do NEED all 3! LOL!

My snowflakes are table confetti. I am addicted to them.

Color Spritzer and glue pen (with glitter) make snowflakes of a different kind. You know she is a Copic colored girl!

So I hope you get to try the sketch! If you do send me a link so we can ALL check it out!

Till tomorrow-I’ll have MORE gift ideas, using myACWP sets! AND some Lizzie Anne!

PLEASE PRAY that my Papertrey Ink stuff comes 😀 I’m going INSANE!!!!

I also HOPE to get the newest C.C. Designs sets! If you liked Lucky and LuLu you are going to go nuts for the next release! Ill give you a hint……….ONE of the sets is “my butterflies of winter”. So you know I’m DYING to get them.

Stumped? Too bad! LOL!

AND……………..MFT has some AMAZING new sets also being released on the 4th? I think! I dont know it keeps changing. I’ll keep you posted on that one 😀

When you see Lizzie Anne’s new releases in January you are also going to go for B-R-O-K-E!!! TRUST ME!

OK enough teasing-get to stamping my sketch would ya.

Gift card holder wallet!

designer wallet Designed Wallet

EDITED: I just added the photo of the stamped/designed wallet! I did this first thing this morning to show you a stepped up version!

This uses the new set that Demo’s got from Stampin Up. I think its called Time Well Spent. I colored it with my Copic markers, then spritzed with my black marker!

Here is the inside view

mytime-wallet-open.jpg click for larger view.

I basically did a OSW-then cut it up!

Happy Saturday!!!

I love Saturday’s. This week since I am feverishly working on Christmas stuff- I figured I’d share a newer version of my “wallet” gift card holder! This one uses JUST paper/cardstock to hold the card.

Its super easy, and dresses up any gift card you may give.

You can keep it simple or go ALL out.

wallets

Tis the season, and I assume people give these out alot this time of year. I know we do 😀

This simple template can be done in under 3 minutes, after you first try it out. So you could mass produce these holders for anyone whom you are giving one to!

Here is a diagram for you to print/follow. Any questions-just ask here, and I will answer in the comments section.

Step 2

Turn cardstock to other end. Score at 2 1/2 and 3

3) Trim excess piece at 3 inch end (long end, on shorter measurement). Fold in smaller flap, then fold up, to create a “pocket”.

snip-away-small-panel-on-large-side.jpg     adhere-flap-and-insert-card.jpg insert card into pocket.

4) From scrap-cut a 1 inch piece. Score at 1/2 inch. Then adhere the 1/2 inch piece to back of  wallet.

make-tab-1-inch.jpg

I like to use my Basic Grey magnetic closures, but to keep costs down you could use velcro-or the style I used in the link above, for the older version of the wallet.

You could even punch a slot to fit the flap closure into!

Let me know how you like it.

Send us a link here should you decide to create one.

Remember this is for inspiration ONLY-and not to be used for submissions or contest enteries 😀

Tomorrow I have a really cool project/gift idea, so come back again.

Saturday Sketch time!

Nov 3, 2007 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, Saturday Sketch

I’m off shopping (hopefully)!

But, it IS Saturday, and that means a Saturday Sketch!!

Sorry Im not all bubbly. I have a cold, and feel a little tired.

As I type I am chomping away on a $30 (mini) tin of chocolate covered Popcorn-in support of our Boy Scouts. I have to say its pretty yummy. It better be right! Don’t know why I felt compelled to share that. Choclate should be the CURE all don’t you think?

I was thinking of finding a way to organize ALL my sketches (one’s you have yet to see), and printing them into mini books! Now that could be a cool gift. PRINTED though-not hand drawn. Then I can just copy of multiples in minutes 😀 We will see if I can figure it out though-computer challenged BLONDE here! LOL!

If you read this blog you may already know purple is my FAVORITE color.

I must say I was quite happy with this creation. Very “beachy” colors to me. Again it was inspired by my Strano Ribbon in ROBIN

friendship Lavender Wishes   sketch 20 Sketch

I LOVE this set! Its By the Seashore . You can also get it at ATS, so you can add a bunch of goodies 😀 I also used Behind the Scenes from MFt as well 😀

This set reminds me of my mother! She LOVES the beach. If I were to associate ONE thing with my mom, and HAPPY memories as a kid, it would be Ogunquit Maine. We spent alot of time there as kids, and it has a special place in my heart. Her favorite movie of all time is “Somewhere in Time” with Jane Seymour, and Christopher Reeve, and Its a Wonderful Life. A must see movie a million times this holiday season!

So, I hope you will try the sketch today! Leave a link in the comments section so we can all peek at your version!

I’d also love to hear what place or a happy memory you have as a child or of your mother.

Tomorrow I will share my AMAZINGLY cheap teacher gifts! I am proud!!!

To get 16 gifts for Christmas DONE-feels SO good. I always struggle with handmade teach gifts. So check back.
