I went with a country theme

Just Chicken In

Now how cute is this??? (I got the framed window idea from the MTME (and JUGS) design team member-Pam :D)

I love the little chicken! Love! He is part of the new release called Critters with Heart. He is just so flippin cute. I love cutesy stuff and this set is certainly CUTESY.

I told you above that the JUGS girls were not only peeking a template, but a new stamp set too!!

This is the close up.

I made him sit in a nest 😀 (he does have legs BTW!) He/she was stamped home in a cranberry ink, and colored with Copic’s. I love the paper, faux stitching and sligh distressing.

Critters with Heart -21 images

This is an adorable set that is perfect for ANY time of year, when you want to say something sweet to the one you love.

These CUTE little critters all have something in common-each was designed based on a heart! Add a punny sentiment and you are sure to warm the heart of anyone who receives something created with this set.

*Available in Pretty Impressions ©  acrylic stamps or in Pretty Impressions © digital images.*

YES!! You read that correctly!

* Coordinating Pretty Impressions © Digital Images:

We are excited to be adding this option to our store! Customer service and satisfaction is our #1 priority.

Upon the opening of My Time Made Easy™ LLC, we have had an overwhelming request to offer our Pretty Impressions © acrylic stamp images as digital files. Given the nature of our products, and coordinating product lines, I feel that is certainly a step worth taking! However, we will be offering only SELECT image sets in the digital download format. This decision will vary on the stamp set style and purpose.

For ALL our images, please be sure to view our Pretty Impressions © acrylic stamp sets.

chic-close.JPGI’m so in love. I made this template some time ago, and have been DYING to to share it. With Valentines day around the corner….I knew it was perfect timing.

Don’t get me wrong, this mail box is perfect for ANY time of year, but I can see LOADS of cardstock Happy Mail templates designed in classrooms, offices, and everywhere else, all over the world!

My kids are making these today, actually 😀 Yes, I will share photos of that too. It is a perfect afternoon craft for the kids. I do pre-assemble to save time! I just ask them to pick the color and way they craft.

I’ll soon share my children’s projects too so you can get some ideas what your children may want to try. We always have an afternoon craft hour, and my templates are ALWAYS their first pick!

I know I have a bunch of friends who enjoy a variety of specialty tea’s, so I packaged some up in this cute mailbox. An entire box fit in here!! I even brewed a cup for myself for “after” the photo shoot 😀 This template was PERFECT for sending to them! It would also be great for someone who is sick. I thought about packaging a  set of chicken noodle Cup-o-Soup packets, since they “travel” well, and go with the “chicken” theme too.

I made my base template from Kraft cardstock, and my botton/front flap in candied apple.

Now the cool thing about this template is your flag can go on either side of the template! I love that option.

The gingham  paper you see, in candied apple is in one of our Pretty Printables ©digital paper packs!! It is stunning and made this so perfectly country, as does the lacey ribbon from May Arts.

The tag on the mailbox reads: Just chicken in (how cute!) and perfect for sending this to that special someone. Love it.

I’m just so excited about this project and what the entire JUGS team has created too!! I hope you are just as excited to see what the team whipped up for projects using our soon to be release Happy Mail template and combining it with the Critters with Heart.

Be sure to check it out—>HERE!

I can’t wait to see what YOU do too.

Thank you for stopping by. Only 8 sleeps until our next release 😀

Today  I have THREE posts! So be sure to check them ALL out!

I have been busy as a bee, and *maybe* you can see a very SMALL tid bit of why I haven’t been blogging as much as I normally do! Quality is better than quantity right?? LOL!

Today &  tomorrow the team Papertrey Ink all have a group post! These are SURE to get you inspired 😀

Now Nichole and Mish put their talent and brains together to come up with a FAB new product,  and of course coordinating stamp set called Take Note!

So, our job was to create one, and share it with you.

Oh my love!!! I am just in love with the size and color choice for these notepads!!I decided to make a gift for myself 😀 I am forever jotting down my ideas on scraps of paper, and losing them, or having to pile them up in a folder. Sometimes while I’m out shopping, an idea hits, and I’m scrambling for a receipt so I can jot down my ideas as they come! LOL! This set is just what I needed to get myself organized, and with style! Come check out how I created my tri fold notepad!

Here is the “me & my BIG bright ideas” note book I designed using Take Note

I have to say that was my FAVE sentiment for the set. It just called out to me.

I’m sorry but I LOVE Pure Poppy, Ripe Avocado, True Black with Polka Dots! Its such a FAB combo!!

The colors just screamed for me when I sat down to create (told you I am using a lot of black this release :D)

I LOVE Beautiful Blooms, and I felt it mimic the flower in the sentiment I chose, along with the polka dot center.

The note book is 2.5 X 8. I used the white with gray lines for my project.

I decided I would create a belly band to go around my notebook cover-which is a tri-fold design. I wanted to keep it SIMPLE 😀

You just slid the band off, and you then reveal your notebooks!

As you can see I used 2 for my project. I always have lots to keep track of, then wanted to jot down my ideas.

Directions for Tri Fold holder

My cardstock was 8 1/2 inches tall by 9 1/2 inches across

I just created the tri fold holder by scoring along the 9 1/2 inch side at

 3 then 3 1/4

 6 1/4, then  again at 6 1/2!

Made my belly band using 2 strips of cardstock!

1- 8 1/2 X 1 1/4 (that is the back piece)

Then the front of the band- is 11 X 1 1/4

Scored the 11 inch long strip at 1 then 1 1/4, then again at 9 3/4 and 10. Adhered it to the 8 1/2 X 1 1/4 inch piece and had my belly band.

As you can see I then stamped my notebook pages to reflect what I want to use them for!

I was SO inspired by the notebook, that I created an entire gift ensemble!

(I know! My brain just often takes off in a million directions! Trust me my BODY often can’t keep up with it, because if it did, 24 hours in a day would NOT be enough time to get it all done! Hence my use/need for the notebook :D)

I LOVE matchy matchy stuff, and as I said before, love using the same elements on various projects. I think you can really see here how this set can translate into other gifts and projects!

I used the Around Town Tote as part of my set

As you can see I used the Standard size, and the Pretty Petite size. Love them BOTH!

I then figured that I could also use the Cash or Charge #1 as an idea clipping holder, OR to hold my coupons in when I go shopping 😀

Here is the Cash or Charge #1 wallet close up

I used the GIGA Marvy flower punch for this, and then some wide ripe avocado ribbon to tie it closed, and appear like the leaves.

Easy peasy, and OH SO CUTE!!

People LOVE getting the finished templates as gifts! I cannot even tell you the amazing feedback I received from user’s telling me the response from the receivers they have made gifts for! Each person has said that they felt not only proud but it made being creative EASY 😀 I love hearing stories like that 😀

So enough blabbering……let’s get to the projects OK!

    Star Student

The It’s on the House © template easily transforms into a backpack!

I bet you didn’t think this template could be great for “school” themed projects and gifts too! This take “back to school” or fun gift packaging to a whole new level!!

Given the way the template comes together, I printed the back New Leaf cardstock. I just rounded the corners of the top flap closdure for my back pack top.

Teh front of the template used the “print on copy paper, and use as a score/cut guide” so I could use black cardstock for my front of the bag.

I then just made mat layers (rounding corners) for the front panel.

I found some lunch box style latches at my hardware store for $1, and away I went!

It REALLY unlatches 😀 I love it!! It’s details like that, that can totally step it up, easily! Instead of using the screws that came with the latch, I used brads! They worked perfectly!

I hand made a front pocket detail that does open and hold little notes 😀 The brad tucks the flap in. You could use little envelopes, or those small envelope die cuts by Sizzix or other die cut makers! I believe SU! has a pretty scallop one that would fit too.

No backpack is complete without the straps!

I grabbed my son’s backpack to ensure I was making them as REALISTIC as possible!

Using some hodgepodge hardware pieces, and more brads, looks pretty cool to me!

Perfect backpack! This can OBVIOUSLY be easily altered for a girl too! What I love is that this LOOKS difficult, but was OH! SO EASY!

I filled this with some fun school items! My son went CRAZY for it, as I usually do girly stuff 😀 He was so happy to have a BOY item just for him!

My Timeless Template: It’s on the House

    Stamps: Star prints
    Cardstock: New Leaf, White
    Patterned Paper: Bitty Star Basics
    Ink: Black, New Leaf
    Ribbon: Stitched Black
other: hodge podge hardware. lunch box latch, key chain toggle, chipboard, silver brad, corner rounder, CTMH brads

    Just a Note set

This gift set was created using *just* the pockets from the Keeping Tabs© template using the standard template, as well as the Pretty Petite version!

They make just the perfect card holder all on their very own.

This project has a card set for A2 size cards, and then a sample with 3X3 cards-wrapped up in a cello bag with twine ribbon!

Here is the large card box

As I mentioned in the first reveal of the Keeping Tabs template, the pockets from this template are PERFECT on their own!

Even better is the fact that they are the perfect wrap for our Clearly Creative Card Box!

NOTE: Just place card box inside template, prior to adhering 😀

I used the large pocket to create a stunning Clearly Creative card box wrap, and hold 5 of these A2 size cards/envelopes.

I used the decorative mat layering template to create a pretty look on my card design as well!

So for the standard version, the box is designed much like the card. When the cards are inside, they look just like the card front.

Such a pretty gift set, don’t you think? Virtually no stamping either. Quick assembly.

    Now for our Petite version

    The Pretty Petite version  3 X 3 cards/envelopes!

Such a fun size when mass producing or wanting to send little notes

The card also used the layering template to create a decorative flap on our fold out note card! Just un-fold and you have plenty of room to write.

As seen in above group photo, I wrapped it up in a cello bag, then was on my way!

This is the perfect gift! Now you can see just how fun and versatile this template is too!!

See you tonight at the release!

    Thank you for stopping by.

I love using all the My Timeless Templates ©.  I am often looking for new ways to dress them up, and make each one more fun and different than the last! It really is ALL about the details.

Today, in a video, I am going to show you how ONE little binder clip, can make the cutest, inexpensive handle, for just about ANY My Timeless Template © you wish to put it on!

Now you have seen how easy it really is to make these handles, I’ll share some details about the project I designed.

    Basket of Thanks

Today’s project, I utilized the NEWEST! My Timeless Template © Tucked Away.

This is the large version of the template.

I designed my box to look like a basket, with the fabric napkin overhanging, and flowers inside-*just* like the colored image from Vintage Picnic (a MUST have set-in my opinion!)

I stamped the Kraft bottom of Tucked Away © , to look similar to a basket weave by using the Tea Dye Duo ink, with Background Basics: Retro image.

I also created the “pattern” on my “napkin” (aka the template lid – mat layer), using Guidelines grid, and the flowers from Around and About, in white craft ink, and Summer Sunrise!

For the additional mat layer, I just adhered a layer of Summer Sunrise, to my stamped layer,  then used my pinking edge scissors, to easily cut my decorative layer-perfectly.

Then, for the top-I used various punched flowers to create my “paper garden”.

I added some beaded leaves, as well as Prima paper leaves to complete the “look”.

This made my basket look like it was filled with flowers! Just like the stamped basket image from Vintage Picnic.

Once you “un-tuck” the top, inside there are 4 large, Lindt Chocolate Caramel Clusters inside!

    Totally YUMMY!

As you can see the binder clip ribbon handle really adds a nice detail to the overall design! Now because this template “tucks” closed, you can use your handle to present such a pretty “basket” of thanks!

This project took less than a 1/2 hour total-and that was design concept included, and the MAKING of my own patterned papers! You now have a design idea, you could whip up numerous “baskets” in no time!

My Timeless Template © Tucked Away

Well that is all for me today! I hope you enjoyed today’s project/tutorial.

In the meantime be sure to check out Nichole’s Blog for more samples & creative clicks, as well as  Debbie’s post today (she is filling in for Becky :D) as she shares the last of the countdown peeks!

    Till tomorrow

Tonight is the release night at Papertrey Ink!

I hope you are just as excited as I am. I’m just dying to see what you all do with the new goodies 😀

Also a HUGE thank you! I am so excited about all the amazing comments reguarding My Timeless Templates ©! I appreciate the emails I get with samples too! You all are rocking them out! You are all truly amazing, and your words really and truly brightened my day.

I have a crazy week coming and needed the lift 😀 Jay is having his back surgery on Thursday (he is starting to FREAK out) and will be there overnight, my grandfather (who has always been like a father to me growing up) is suddenly seriously ill, Alexa has her post Chemo check up Wednesday (which ALWAYS freaks me out!) and I have some other “worries” going on that are just weighing me down. So I want to thank you for lifting me up with your sweet words! Oh and if you can throw in a prayer for my family please! I’m really just stressed about the weeks events.

I will be announcing a winner for the 2 My Timeless Templates ©later today. As I post this, its too early! LOL!

As I promised yesterday, I have my Pretty Petal Pocket © template in the standard and Pretty Petite version! I hope you like seeing the same design, just different sizes, side by side.

I will answer questions about the templates in my contest winner post! I have to scroll through and see what people are interested in knowing! I know dimensions was one question!

Please note ALL our templates give the finished sizes on the website when you click to view the actual template 😀

In the mean time……here we go!

    Pretty Poppy Pockets Duo

I think Poppy and True Black have an amazing POP together! A bright color combination that I just adore together!

I wanted a dramatic, and elegant look, so that is exactly what I feel I got here!

    View from the top

I also lined the inside, side panel! I love the finished look taking that extra step has 😀

    Pretty Poppy Pocket

This is the larger template, decorated.

I used a large chipboard shape that is from Maya Road. I just covered it with my Green Tea Leaves paper.

For a more dramatic appeal, I covered the back of the chipboard with Pure Poppy cardstock, amking it a bit larger than the chipboard layer. I then distressed the layered edge for a cool look! I never did that before and I really enjoy the way it appears in real life 😀

I also did lots of flower layering, by using some paper punched flowers, felt flowers from American Crafts, and Prima flowers!

The leaves are a Cuttlebug long die, that I felt was PERFECT for this project!

    Pretty Petite Poppy Pocket

This is the smaller pocket. It may be smaller but is just as cute, and still holds a great number of ideas for gifts!

I made my own chipboard flowers using the same flowers cuttlebig die.

The sentiment flag was stamped with Text Style bkgd, in gray ink, then the sentiment from the NEW! Everyday Button Bits was stamped in black ink. I did some faux stitches as well to add to the look!

I think they are a very cute set!

I love making the matchy match stuff, and making my own chipboard embellishments was a fun challenge for me today! I get bored with the same ole, same ole, and I have to say my mojo is in FULL gear! I love when that happens!

My Timeless Template: Pretty Petal Pocket ©

Stamps:Everyday Button bits, Text Style bkgd

    cardstock: Pure Poppy, Spring Moss

Patterned Paper: Green Tea Leaves, Bitty Box Basics

    Ink: Smokey Shadow, Black

Ribbon: Saddle Stitched black, May arts satin

    Chipboard: Maya Road

Now for another WOW! Where a color duo takes center stage……dark chocolate & berry sorbet (YUM!)

You’re so very Tweet (using Milk Made ©)

    Can this get any sweeter?

This was made to hold 2 bags of Dove Chocolates! Isn’t it PERFECT for that?! I LOVE Dove Chocolate!

    I’m in love!

I love the little flower image from Bird Watching, and SO wanted to use it since it’s release. I finally got the opportunity this time 😀

I just added some adhesive pearls to the lil tulip like flower centers. such a EASY addition, that packs a big WOW! factor.

    One last side photo

Now we can move on to the very SIMPLE Milk Made © Crate.

This template ALONE can be used to house a wide variety of items, in itself! Its just SOOOOOO cute.

Add dividers, and sort your desk stuff……as I did the other day put note cards or flower pots……recipe cards………altered chocolate bars 😀 YUM! Smores mix carrier! OH! That sounds yum-o!

As you can see I also lined the bottom of the Milk Made © Crate. Sometimes its that LITTLE extra step that completes a project 😀

Obviously kept this one UBER simple, and I think that adds to the beauty.

My Timeless Template: Milk Made ©

    Stamps: Bird Watching

Cardstock: White Dark chocolate, Berry sorbet

    Patterned paper: Bitty dots 2008

Well, it is very late, and I have things to wrap up, so I’m keeping it short and sweet! ( I know! When am I ever short and sweet! LOL! SORRY!)

Today is Becky’s day to share a peek with you! Also be sure to check in on Nichole’s blog , Dawn and Lisa, as they share even MORE amazing samples too!

I will return with some questions answered and a template winner! YEAH!

A new day! That means MORE NEW samples! WOOT! WOOT!

It also means its time for a Giveaway! All you have to do is leave me a comment! You can make a template suggestion, ask a question, list your fave  project or template, tell me what you think about the template samples I’ve shared so far…whatever you decide to share!

Winner to be drawn tomorrow (July 14th) with my newest template peek post!

I love hearing your feedback! I will draw one winner, and they will get BOTH the templates being released this month: Milk Made © and Pretty Petal Pocket  ©!

I had some MORE AH!HA! Moments while creating 😀 So I hope they get YOUR creative ideas using the newest templates flowing 😀 OH! and wait till you see the idea book! WOW!

NOTE: Templates shared today release July 15th! They are linked to main template page for future blog viewers 😀

Well I don’ know if you recall, but last month we had “smaller versions” of the templates we featured! I like to call them Pretty Petites.  I have had numerous emails this month asking if we will have that same option with this months release and the answer is……

YES!!!! I really hope to hear what you think about the typical size templates as well as the inclusion of the Pretty Petites! I try my best to make all My Timeless Templates © as large as possible!!! I personally love some of them being offered in a Petite version because 1) They are CUTE! 2) If you have a lot to make they take a little less time 3) They are less expensive to FILL 😀

So let me share the Template, with a matching Pretty Petite version!

    Gardening Apron Set

I decided it would be nice to show you both versions, side by side, and design them exactly (for the most part) the same! This gives you an idea of how large and small they are! Even the Pretty Petite version is a FAB size!

So, if you are wondering, that means that you not only get the LARGE/Standard template versions, but the Pretty Petite versions too!! ALL for ONE price $5!

Here is the side by side Milk Made © Carton comparison

    Cute eh?

Again stamped the same! Decorated a bit differently. I think they are both adorable!

    Large Milk Made © Gardener

This is the standard My Timeless Template Milk Made ©

You can put so many various items in these! I used clips on the top! Just un-clip to open! Easy peasy.

    Front view large

    I love this project!

Inside the large cartons hold these seed packets

    Which also inspired my design!

Now for my BIG AH! HA! moment 😀

I used the Milk Made © Crate as a Gardening “Apron”

When looking at the template it just looked like an apron to me! So I ran with the idea.

    View from the top

I think adding some sort of patterned paper to the Milk Made © Crate bottom is a nice finishing touch 😀

    Here is the “pocket detail”

I used my large and small Tag punch from Stampin Up! to create the “pocket” in my apron box! The flowers are just peeking out of the top! I used a Linen bkgd stamp to add a textured look to my apron, and the Tea Dye ink duo to “dirty” up my gardening apron!

Now for the Pretty Petite version

    Just as cute!

I purchased these mini flower pots (which have herbs in them) at the Target $1 spot over a year ago! LOL!

They fit nice and snug into the Petite version of the Milk Made © Carton

How cute is this set, seriously?!!

I used Vintage Twine for my Apron stings on the smaller version.

You could buy little flower pots and make party favors!

Fill with potpourri, or seed mix.

You could make “mud” cups for a kids party-just use Chocolate Pudding, gummy worms, and crushed Oreo cookies!

Now those would be the talk of the town!

You can even put the little post in the Milk Made © Crate template!

    Seriously, how cute is that?

I love this gift set to pieces!

Now you could use larger pots for the standard Milk Made template too, if you like!

    Pretty fancy 😀

My Timeless Template: Milk Made © large and small template

Stamps: Vintage Picnic, and a linen bkgd from SU!

Cardstock: Dark Chocolate, Ripe Avocado, Rustic White

Ink: Tea Dye duo, dark chocolate ,ripe avocado, Copic Markers

    Patterned Paper: Green Tea Leaves

Ribbon: Vintage cream twill, rustic twine

punches: corner rounder, scallop/layering circles, labels, word window, layering tag, 3/4 circle all by SU!

    Prima flowers

brads, seed packets, mini flower pots

Now we well go on to Pretty Petal Pocket ©

Given its name I designed this version to look similar to that of a blooming flower!

The Friends Til the End patterned paper was perfect!

For the greenery I just used my SU! large and small oval punch, scored down the center, for the leafy greens!

Inside there is a scented glass candle! Its called Spring Garden.

A sweet presentation to a simple gift. I was very happy with it. Its ALMOST like the Lily pad flowers, now that I stare at it! LOL!

I loved the little tag. It used the watering can image from Green Thumb.

The 3D flowers make the gift tag just POP! Along with the “curled” cardstock pieces. So fun.

This was ANOTHER done in under 15 minutes project, I am proud to say!

This template goes together so easy! Also the way it folds the handles are very secure, and you dont’ see any seams! I love CLEAN LINES!

    Till tomorrow…….

I am very excited about today’s project!

Keeping up with the trends, Going Green is very HOT right now! Reusing items that we already have is not only great for our environment, but FUN!

I find, as a papercrafter, I save a LOT of things! Always with the HOPE of finding a great new use for it! One of them being the tissue paper that comes with many gifts we receive. It is so pretty and comes in a large variety of colors! I have always wanted to find a fabulous way to recycle it, and now I have!

I call it a Fancy Flower Flourish Closure

This idea came to me after a childhood memory. I remember going to the carnival and ALWAYS wanting one of those LARGE tissue paper flowers, on a stick! So expensive back then. I was never able to get one :C But, now I am grown so I can make my own mini version.

I decided to play around, and make this childhood memory a reality, but also with a little more FANCY FLAIR!

I wanted one of these flowers to be part of an elastic closure for my newest My Timeless Templates: Card Couture. I knew it would beautiful, and look so elegant, as the main focus of the template! I have to say it makes you say WOW! when you have it in hand!

I began my quest by punching some tissue paper with my Giga Flower Punch by Marvy. While I was getting the EFFECT I wanted, I knew I wanted it to be a little more fancy, and stamp related!

I wanted to put a pattern on my flowers. Something elegant. Not just polka dots, or scripty writing. More like a pattern on EACH flower petal. I then pulled out Damask Designs! The small flourish fit PERFECTLY on EACH petal of a very elegant looking flower! I was over the moon when I figured this out!

Now let me show you how it works!

    Making Fancy Flower Flourish

    1) Stamp one cardstock flower base, and at least 4 tissue paper flowers, using Damask Designs.

You wil want to use ink that is a similar shade or darker than choice of tissue paper/cardstock.

    2) Punch holes in centers

    3) Using elastic cording, string on button, them put through the tissue paper flowers first.

    4) Now put trhough the cardstock flower, and pull though

    This is the close up

    5) Pull petals up, each laer separately, and scrunch together!

NOTE: I added another button to the button center of my creation.

    6) Optional: Adhere punched, stamped, or Prima Leaves to flower cardstock base.

     For Attachment to Card Couture:

    1) Punch hole in the lid of template.

    2) Insert large eyelet.

    3) Pull strings from Fancy Flower Flourish through the hole.

    4) Close lid, and tie elastic closure, tightly around template. Knot elastic cording.

Now you have a beautiful, elastic closure for your Card Couture Template, or to use to embellish ANY project!

The end of the week is near and I HAVE to finish teacher gifts!

PLUS I am updating my Etsy Shop today! As soon as this is typed! (YES! This item will be posted as well!)

I just got the last of my Strawberry Jam (Thanks to Paulette’s mom!), so I’ll be decorating the jars, and printing off MORE Pack a Picnic templates 😀 I’ve also already started on my next month’s samples 😀 So my “behind the scenes” life is crazy.

I have had a hard/emotional week after the loss of little Ethan Weiman. Alicia’s Caring Bridge update helped me through yesterday.

So I poured ALL my emotions into this little umbrella. It was great therapy.

I love you Rain or Shine

I love this shape, and think it would be so cute hanging on a door, or in a girls room! I hangs at an angle. Adding the tag and little umbrella, I think makes it totally perfect-o!

I also decorated the edges with the patterned paper. You NEED to make sure ALL sides of your projects are clean and finished!

I then added ALL those adhesive pearls! OH MY! I don’t think I’ll ever try that again! LOL! BUT it’s all about the details, and end results! A true labor of love! I think this took me 3 hours! LOL! But, I took my time, and just kept my mind busy.

Love the details and I think it was well worth it.

I adored the MDF shapes I bought a few months ago at Say It With Letters! Now Im NOT affiliated with them, I have just had a blast using them. I was introduced to them byJulie Masse, when we went to Stamp New England!

NOTE: There is a Stamp New England happening in Conneticut on July 10th & 11th—>READ MORE HERE! Sign up by June 23rd! While I have received SO MANY emails, asking if I were teaching there, sadly no I am not. But they do have some amazing people teaching, so check out their site! I had a blast at the one I attended.

Only ONE MORE SLEEP until the kids are on vacation! (UH OH! LOL!)

I got permission to post this template peek for Papertrey Ink a little early!!

    YIPPEE!! Thanks Nichole

Tonight’s peek is my favorite template to date!

I know, I say that every month, and I swear every time I MEAN it! I think, as papercrafters/stampers you all GET what I mean right?! Every month is the best!

But, THIS one is right up Summer’s Alley! Oh and perfect for the release too!

Now you know we have so MANY templates, just waiting for their turn for a release. We bumped the original for this month up one, because of a last minute addition :D)

This month, after seeing this peek of an upcoming set release:

I was VERY inspired to take the idea, and make a fun, modern twist on a classic design!

After almost 7 hours of work (yes! Those smooth angles are a KILLER!) The Pack a Picnic © was designed!

This was my concept template for the release.

I don’t put too much into these, so its not my top notch work, just a sampler of what is to come.

Just used Melon Berry , and Spring Moss cardstock , paired with some Green Tea Leaves paper-DONE!

Punch for basket border is a EK Success slim

Template is being released June 15th.

    Pack a Picnic description:

Who doesn’t LOVE a Picnic? Did you ever think what an adorable gift packaging a oldie, but goodie, everyday item could make?  This “basket” was inspired by the style of the old-fashioned 1950’s Picnic basket, but kicked up a notch, to a modernized Picnic basket of the Millennium! I love the size, and the fun curvy shape this has to it. It is almost hard to believe its made form *just* cardstock! Now we are adding a MINI version too which make this even MORE fun, with over the top options for all sorts of gifts, be them BIG or small. The punched border option that is ONE piece gives you a beautiful clean and professional look as well! You can really take along a great variety of items in this template. This box would look perfect sitting out ANYWHERE in someone’s home, office, or classroom. OR use the smaller version for Wedding/Shower favors. party favors or treats like candy, or little jar’s of jam, or home made yummies. The handles are not only adorable and fit a pretty design, but are functional as well! I LOVE the option of the lid, or no lid at all. Opens a world of possibilities, and an entirely new look.

Whatever you decide to pack in your Picnic basket, it is sure to be a great “present”-ation.

    Here is the side view

These are LARGE bottles of Bath & Body Works Lotion & Body Wash!

There is still room in there for another one!

This basket is a fabulous size!

I think lid on or off, its just beautiful!!!!! Oh and FUN!!!

    Now the details

This basket has a unique one piece lip, so that you punch your border, and fold it over, for a finished look, and this easy to achieve! No extra layering and gluing!

See nice lip to the basket! Goes together so easy too! All the hours were well worth it!!

You get the decorative mat layers as well :D)

Im just SOOOOOOO excited about the possibilities this template has!

    I hope you are too!

I have some AMAZING projects to share over the next few days (OH! and lets not forget yet ANOTHER template!) so stay tuned!!

I’m over the moon to hear what YOU think so far!

Thanks for letting me share my excitment with you all! I know you GET IT!

    Hi everyone!

Thanks for joining me for my Papertrey Ink Newsletter Post!

I have to admit I was pretty TAPPED for ideas. So I went to Michaels and browsed the ENTIRE store, to find something FUN AND NEW to share! I get bored easy, in case you can’t tell! LOL! I love trying new things, and every so often I find something extra cool.

So, that being said I hope you like what I came up with 😀 I really enjoy expanding my uses for my stamps!

There really are so many ways they can be used! This is just ONE more!

This is a dinner plate (I created a matching set of 4) with a candle holder-as seen in the photo.

How about using your stamps as stencils for making decorative glass gifts?!

I made a video to show you just how easy this really is!

So grab some coffee and get planning on making some affordable painted glass items-no art lessons needed!

This is a photo of the finished candle holder. More photos can be seen in the video!

Now more on what you need to make your own painted glass gift items!

Obviously something GLASS, that YOU want to decorate.

    Stamp set of choice.

I found (in the paint/stencil) section-some marker/pens that are meant to be use on glass and ceramics!

They are by Vitrea 160-cost $2.99 each, and come in a large variety of colors! You can get opaque or transparent colors.

Follow instructions for use on package!

Well I thought they looked SUPER cool, but my problem-I can’t paint or draw a simple stick figure to save my life!!

While there in the store they had stencils and stuff too. I thought-well I have stamped ON GLASS, why not use a stamped image as a stencil with my markers?!

Now I didn’t want to TRACE. I wanted a fun, new look! So I went with dots! Fun, easy and no stress if you drank too much coffee 😀

I used Beautiful Blooms for my project! You can use whatever you wish.

    Step 1:

Clean your glass with glass cleaner. If using something that needs to be centered-Mark center on back with eclipse tape.

    Step 2:

Stamp you image onto cardstock/copy paper-cut to size.

    Step 3

Layer stamped paper where needed. Lay your plate or other item over stamped image.

Mark dots on flower center, and outer petals first!

    Step 4

Count number of dots on each petal to ensure even spacing and nice even look on project!

Repeat for leaves, and flower centers-using green marker!

Take out your stamp stencil and VIOLA!

    This is the completed plate

Not too shabby for a newbie glass painter, now is it?!

I have to admit, it was very fun to make this. I wil wrap up the set with a pretty bow and tag to match. Should be a nice gift for someone, right?

I especially like that I don’t have to be a true ARTIST to pain on glass now! I have stamps for that 😀

    Well thanks for stopping by!

I hope you enjoyed the video, and visual tutorial for those who need it 😀
