Guess what today is?

It’s the Pretty Impressions Digital Release!

Click here to view what’s new!

Now how about some samples with the new goodies?

This month we catered to the boy’s and girls in our lives by having something for both. I even added a fun new template :D YIPPEE!!

So first up, my card.

UR2 COOL

Is he not adorable? (said in the best “boy” way possible)

I have longed for such a cute boy set. I have lacked in that department, and myself having an 8 year old boy, trust me when I tell you, will be adding more of these images to our growing collection.

I hand drew in my sidewalk, and colored in the grass with my markers.

I printed, and cut out my  UR2 COOL sentiment. I think this came out “cool”. It got my son’s approval so I know it must be OK!!

Here I added the sentiment to the bottom. I love the play on words.

I had created the sentiment in 2 colors. Using my selection tool I cut and layered the sentiment over eachother. Because I cut off part of the words I was able to get the dual colors :D Pretty fun.

Now some details about the set

SK8R Boy Set of 7 Digital Images $8

Noah is one cool kid, who lives to SK8!

Sentiments Include:

SK8R (fits on boy’s shirt!)

SK8R BOY

Play Hard

Happy Birthday Dude!

UR2Cool Circular Symbol

Get Air Circular Symbol

This image is so fun to color, and can be used as a coloring page, used with iron on sheets to create t-shirt, hats or other fun craft projects for all ages!

We also have the SK8R Boy available as a Single for only $2!

Be sure you check out the SK8 Board Box Pretty Packaging Template, designed to coordinate with this image!

As you read, I simply couldn’t resist adding a coordinating template to one this month’s images :D

It is called the SK8 Board Box ©, but can be used on its own as a fabulous box!

(Notice the scale difference in the card vs. on the template!! Gotta love resizing!)

SK8 Board Box

Available in PDF, SVG, GSD, DXF, WPC

 Completed Project Size

 3 1/2 Inches Wide

7 1/2 Inches Tall

1 1/2 Inches Deep

This is the perfect template for a multitude of uses! A great size for so many treats, this is the perfect box for so many special people in your life! Transform this template into a skateboard styled box, any kid would love to receive, OR use it all on its own to create a wonderfully styled gift box!

This template is the perfect companion to the SK8R Boy Digital Stamp Set.

Now to prove my point that this SK8 Board Box © isn’t *just* a skateboard, I want to show you a girly version, using our other NEW! set My Little Friend.

See! Isn’t this the cutest box, despite the “skateboard” name/shape?!! I have to say I love it, and think this will be one of those that I pull out often. It’s a fabulous size too :D

I used the Flower Fusion © paper as my color inspiration :D I had used it on my card yesterday, pulling out the purple hues, and this time I focused on the orange hues :D

I was able to add the green polka dot pattern from the Darling Dots © collection and the script pattern from the newest collection: Fresh Cut Expressions © Collection 2. Don’t you love mixin’ n matchin patterns? Our collections make it easy :D

Now having the NEW! My Little Friend in a digital format is awesome because I get to resize it to suit my project needs! My card yesterday used the size it opens in, and today I shrunk it down to be the size I wanted for this project!

About the My Little Friend set

My Little Friend Set of 8 Digital Images $8

Amber has met a new little friend, who she holds dear!

This adorable image and sentiments is sure to send a message of true friendship.

She is so fun to color, and can be used as a coloring page, or craft project for all ages!

Sentiments include:

Friend (in two style fonts)

Note: Friend sentiments fit nicely above the sentiments.

For a dear

Hold a true friend with both your hands

Someone who is there for you no matter what.

Friendship isn’t a big thing-it’s a million little things.

One of the nicest things you can have and one of the best things you can be.

There is also the My Little Friend Single Image for only $2

I layered this on onto the All Tied Up! © Circle

I love coloring these cuties. I know I keep saying that, but its so true.

There is SO much you can do with these digital images. I have many more ideas which I plan to share soon :D One will show you how to use the digital images WITH the coordinating cut files :D YES! I figured out how you can use them both together. I’m sure I’m not the first, but I never knew it was possible. Let me tell you that you will be hooked because you can resize BOTH the image, and the cut files to suit your needs. That is a HUGE asset and value! LOVE!

So stay tuned for that. I just need to get a memory card for my video camera, and then I’ll post some videos for you, using my ideas and techniques.

Come on back tomorrow, as I have more samples to share.

HI everyone!

Hope all is well with you all.

Life has been quite the whirlwind here, but I am managing to get everything done that I need to, I think! LOL!

Today I want to share my contribution to the Pretty Palette Challenge 04

Use the KEYWORD MTMEPPC 04

Click here to view the Pretty Palette Challenge 04 details, and enter your own creation :D

Now it’s my turn to share. Granted I’m a few days late, but better late than never right?

I have to say I had the best of intentions, but it turns out my kids and life had intentions of their own, making my ability to finally post, later than I wanted!

So without further delay…my card!

A Happy Life

Our friends are buying their first home the end of the month, and I wanted to send them a card, with a little gift card inside :D

I loved the colors for this weeks palette, and actually had other ideas, but this is what transpired as I began creating. Funny how that happens huh?

I found that the Fresh Flowers © digital paper was the PERFECT match to the color combo :D So I used the flower pattern on my decorative panel layers.

I also used the Pretty Patterns Sketch 04 for this!

I chose to use the label from a Secret Surprise © for my layer. I cut it using the Secret Surprise Label ©.

The house image from the Just For You ©  set, which I stamped, colored and cut, is for the additional layer to the right.

The butterfly is from Tending The Garden © , the flutter trail is from Fanciful Flourishes © .

My sentiment is from So Sentimental © ! I love it. It is the perfect sentiment for such a happy occasion.

I made my “grass”, and patterned paper along the bottom of my card by using the Puckered Up Patterns © . So simple and fun. I love making my own patterns, and using unexpected stamps for regular things, like “grass”.

So there you have my well intended card.

Come back tomorrow because we have the next Pretty Palette Challenge, and the team and I will be peeking the new digital images, being released on the 15th (Friday)!

See you then :D

Hi world!

How have you all been?

I’m anxiously awaiting Spring. Today is suppose to be in the 60′s! Heavenly!

I have a few updates on my family to share at the bottom of this post :D So those who want to know what’s up, can be in the “know”.

I’m just starting to wined down from the April Release, and am getting ready for May! LOL! It is a never ending circle or events and planning.

This is MY version of the Pretty Palette 04

I have to say I think this is STUNNING! I love the colors.

This will be a “possibility” of being my mom’s birthday card. She turns 54 this weekend. I generally make several and pick my favorite! LOL! Crazy huh?

So here are some details!

I LOVE the Singing Silhouette ©  set :D So pretty.

So I cut my Caged © cut file, to cut my cage, I then stamped my cage, with a little masking, and stamped the branch and flowers from the set, then added my bird :D

I used the postcard sheet from the Cool Romance © digital paper.

I cut it out, then added a dirtied up silhouette flower from the Occasional Labels © set in the lower left hand corner.

I used the writing from the postcard as my “sentiment” on the palette.

For the bottom “pattern” layer, I made my OWN paper :D

That is my favorite thing to do!

I used the Argyle Amazement © set to create my pattern. Can you say LOVE IT!!

Well what do you think? Pretty nifty eh?

Now for an update! If you don’t follow my family, no biggie, just move on to view the Pallete Challenge!

As I said my mom is turning 54 this weekend. It is a very pivotal time, as it was that weekend last year that her life forever changed.

It has been a year since her husband was arrested for her attempted murder. He is still in jail. The case is going to trial as he refused a very good plea bargain, which would have lead to deportation.

He is denying his confession, claiming he didn’t understand what he was saying (his first language is Portuguese), and requesting that the video confession, after his arrest, be thrown out. Trust me he speaks English very well.

Anyway, my mom returned to court to renew the restraining order. The judge granted her a 3 year order. They are undergoing trail very soon (we don’t have an exact date yet) and she has filed for divorce. We don’t know if he could get out so better safe than sorry (not that a piece of paper could save her from him, but it can be helpful-right?)

In the divorce he wants half of everything SHE worked for, AND get this, he wants Alimony when he gets out because SHE ruined HIS life, and he won’t be able to find work. The list of insanity goes on and on.

Hopefully we will get  a judge with an 1/8th of a brain, and he will not allow any of this to take place. My mom has been paying on everything (his vehicles and other stuff she wants possession of, as she needs these items) always, and more obvious since his incarceration.

So a long way to go with that.

Now we go on to her Cancer. She will undergo surgery the 29th. She will be hospitalized for a week and then have a long recovery. She will undergo 2 more rounds of chemo after healing, then to hopefully be cured :D She has been amazingly strong through all this. She had many weak moments, but in the end she found the strength she needed to move forward with her life!

Her life isn’t ready to be over. She has much left to do in this world :D I’m not ready to not have my mom around yet. I have 2 girls of my own to raise (and a son) and need someone to guide me on what I’m doing, and how to get through the tough stuff.

Speaking of girls, many have asked for updates on Alexa.

I will post some photos of her soon.

Tonight she is partaking in a school event, where she will be doing African drums, and dancing! I hope to catch it on video (hoping for good quality so I can post it here for you all to see her! She has grown and matured so much in this last year).

As May approaches she reaches her 4th year in remission!!

She is by far the strongest person I know. She is my little hero. I am in a constant state of awe of her. She is in the ‘pre-teen” attitude stages, and I have to remind myself this is a good thing! The attitude is insane! Everything is an argument. She wants it her way or no way. Sounds like me when I was her age.

That being said, I am ever grateful for these daily struggles of will, as she has always been strong willed. It is far easier than the struggles with her life. I’ve been told that it is her strong will that pulls her through. It is why she does so well. Well that and God’s hand guiding her through. Alexa has a great purpose in this life, I am certain of that. She keeps me in constant check, of what is important in life, and how fragile and precious each moment is.

I recently had a meltdown over the fact that the 2 years she was ill I took barely any video or photos. I didn’t want to remember anything about that time, now I sort of wish I had. Especially when we went to Disney. I SHOULD have video tapped at least that! That was a a happy time. After some severe mommy guilt, I promised to record more, and take more photos.

Well that about wraps up the family review, for now anyway. I’ll let you know how the dance goes :D

Thanks for following our story.

Until next time!

Last, but not least!

Apr 5, 2011 Author: mytime | Filed under: Home decor/3-D items, My Time Made Easy

I’m baaaaccckkk!!

I’ve been in creative overdrive the last 2 months! I feel like if the day was extended I’d just go as many more waking hours as possible. Imagine how much I could do with more time? I think we all could use some of that don’t you? As long as they were dedicated to FUN and not longer WORK time.

Anyway, as I play the balancing game of life, I think I’m doing pretty good with it all. My mom has surgery coming up and that will take up a lot of my time, so I am doing my best to get “ahead” of that. Stress kicks me into creative mode. The ideas just go and go. It’s like my brain will do anything other than think of stuff that stresses me out! LOL!
So hopefully we can all benefit from that right?

Before I share my last project, be sure you check this project out by Kristin! WOW!

Wonderful You!

Can you say Yum?

I havethis filled with 8 individually wrapped Biscotti.

You can fit just about anything in here :D

I had previously posted 2 other projects using 2 of the 3 other templates that come with the Keep It template. I used the drawer, the front pocket, and left the best for last! Now I am using the back pocket.

This one is the obvious useable template, but just in case you couldn’t tell how fabulous it looked all by it’s lonesome, here you have it!

I am in love with the Fresh Cut Expressions © Collection 2 Digital Paper set.

I didn’t have to do much to make this project so pretty. There is a decorative inner panel included in the template, so I printed one of the coordinating papers to go inside..

I stamped the flower silhouette from the Occasional Labels ©set, and the little bee…well that is a teaser at what is to come next month :D

Now for the label, I have to say I’m in love!

The Occasional Label ©  cut file alone is a fabulous value :D

I used the print pattern label from the  Occasional Labels ©set. I had cut my label from Occasional Label © cut file, from my tangerine cardstock, and white embossed the label image, so it looked just like the pattern on my flowers.

I created my sentiment combination using the Sentimental Occasions © set. I had stamped it on the oval label from Occasional Label © cut file. Behind the sentiment I stamped the branch, flowers and bird image from Singing Silhouette © !

April: A Year in Review

Apr 4, 2011 Author: mytime | Filed under: family stuff, Home decor/3-D items, My Time Made Easy

  Well here we are again!

Another month has passed, another release, and we bring you the ever popular post A Year in Review! This is when the team and I share uses  for some “old” products, and make them new again!

To view all the projects from our group post today you will want to visit:

  • Kristin Bueter
  • Debbie Marcinkiewicz
  • Katie Cotton
  • Lisa Kind
  • Monique Hansen
  • Tangii Crain
  • Our guest this month is Amy Scheffer!
  • I know I cannot wait to see what the team has dreamed into “re” existence again!

For me, I have another great sample using the Keep It template, but I will share that on another day.

Today I thought I would share my daughter’s creation for the “Year in Review” instead, as it uses one of my first templates!

I’m so proud of her and all she does, I thought it would help other mom’s see that kids can be involved, and anyone of all skill levels can use our products!

I really encourage all of you out there to let your children get involved in crafts too. There are aisles and aisles of expensive projects for kids in store, but you don’t need to keep buying and restocking your kid craft cabinet with expensive projects. If you already buy my templates, you have everything you need to let your kids get crafty!

The best part about my products is you can make these projects over and over again, and for not a penny more than the inital cost of the template. If they mess up, you can cut a new one. Or iftheir favorite color changes you aren’t stuck with a pre-cut something or other in a color they now refuse to use! LOL!

You can’t be afraid to let them make a mess. How will they learn otherwise? You will have more fun than they will, I promise :D

So that being said, during one of her recent after school projects, I thought I would “photo document” what Amber wanted to make. Her idea was cool, so why not?

This time it was a butterfly wand for her teacher to use on the Smart Board at school. She picked out everything she wanted to use, and away she went.

Note: During these projects I help with Cricut setup (although she can use her Cricut Create on her own) as well as the scoring and guiding where the adhesive (or panel) goes, I usually get the ink that coordinates too, and she does the rest!

    Let’s get started!

So I cut, and scored the celery cardstock for the “wand” that she wanted.

She started to put it together.

    Now that part is done!

We moved on to the “butterfly” part.

She chose to use the All A Flutter © template.

I decreased the size of the front/back/wing prints of the All A Flutter © template to 80%.

She wanted the wings in pink and the wing prints in yellow.

She got to work gluing and then stamping!

She wanted to stamp all the wing prints first (of course) so she chose Sensational Stems and Sensational Sentiments.

It was easier for her to stamp them on the Cricut mat. That way they don’t move when you stamp them.

Then she could see exactly how they are suppose to go on the butterfly body.

After the wings are complete, she glues the wings to the wand, I add a bow!

(note we use adhesive TAPE for this-the glue stick was for wing prints)

    Fabulous Flutter Wand!

Here, it was snowing, so she waved the wand and made a wish for Spring to come!

This is the back of the wand, that she had to sign her name to :D

    Amber is a perfectionist!

    Great job sweetie!

Her teacher said she loved it, and actually used it right away, which made Amber SO HAPPY!

Wouldn’t this be a fabulous kid craft for a girls party? I think so.

Many people ask me how I get stuff done while balancing 3 children. There really is no big secret! I just let them craft with me. For years I’ve organized an afternoon craft with the kids, after homework is done. It would generally take up an hour, and then they would have to spend an hour entertaining themselves afterward. So I got the MOM time I needed, after spending time with the kids.

Now they are getting older, Noah doesn’t really like craft time (he complains on the school day he has art class-kills me!), and Alexa is 11. so she just wants to do her own thing (already!), so sadly now during craft time,  it’s usually just Amber and I now. She often gets the craft together herself and we craft side by side.

I hope this trend continues for a lifetime to come.

Well that is all for me, for today.

I’ll be back tomorrow to share my last project from the April release, using the Keep It template.

    See you then.

    Pick that pocket!

Apr 3, 2011 Author: mytime | Filed under: Home decor/3-D items, My Time Made Easy

Welcome back for another day of great gift ideas using our latest products from the April Release!

Today we have some amazing projects from:

  • Monique Hansen
  • Our guest this month is Amy Sheffer!
  • Be sure to pay them a visit, and prepare to be inspired!

Yesterday I shared a post about “re-purposing”. Well, I am back again with another way to repurpose the Keep It template! This time I am using the front pocket file, all by it’s lonesome, to show you how it too can become a fabulous template.

I have to say I was just giddy over this one :D

This took literally under 15 minutes to make.

I printed my NEW! Fresh Cut Expressions Pretty Printables Digital Paper for the simple side panel. I didn’t need to do much to make this project fab! The NEW! Fresh Cut Expressions Pretty Printables Digital Paper did all the hard work for me.

I stamped the All A Flutter butterfly outline in gray, on my white cardstock. I used my pale pink ink and stamped the solid butterfly image inside. I then took one of the silhouette images from Occasional Labels ©, and stamped it on my butterfly! I love the versatility of the All A Flutter set :D I had cut it with the Flutters and Flowers © Cut File.

I loved decorating the rounded tab piece from the pocket, using a button, and a little strip of cardstock, all the way around the box, for some simple WOW! Factor.

So after looking at this, can you guess how this was made?

All I did was create 2 of the front pocket templates, one in smokey gray, and the other in a pale pink.

I then just slid one template into the other, like this…

    See!!

    So quick and easy.

Inside I packaged up 8 Ghirardelli Strawberry Chocolate Squares.

    YUMMY!

    Pretty Packaging Templates: Keep It

Pretty Impressions Stamp Set: All A Flutter, Occasional Label

Pretty Printable Digital Paper: Fresh Cut Expressions

Pretty Pieces Cut File: Flutters and Flowers

Well I will plan on seeing YOU back HERE tomorrow for MORE ideas as we all share in a group post!

How are you all enjoying the projects so far?

Be sure to visit the MTME Blog for our latest Pretty Palette Challenge!

I know I had a blast with everything this month :D

It’s funny how excited I feel every release. I always think THIS ONE is the best. Each new template has me head over heels and each month I get a new favorite! LOL! I think the best part is, each month when I go to link the product and I view MY STORE I think WOW! How did I ever come this far? It’s amazing really. Now I have an amazing library of gift packaging to use anytime I want to give a gift, and look amazing :D Seriously most people I gift these completed packages to never even care what is inside! LOL!

Today we have a lot more to share with you so pay a visit to:

  • Debbie Marcinkiewicz
  • Tangii Crain
  • Well let’s start today off with some “repurposing”!

I like to try to make everything as versatile as possible, and while not every single one CAN be, I have to say every element of the Keep It Template is useful :D

This particular template comes with 3 “templates” which are used to create the finished product Keep It. Each one as useful as the other. So,today I thought I would share a  new use for one of the three templates that come in the Keep It Template!

    A Stack of Drawers

This is the drawer file, that is to be used on the bottom of the template!

A very sweet 3 drawer gift set, complete with hand stamped patterned paper, pearl drawer pulls!

Now think about the fun things you can package or sort/store in this beauty!

    Mini note cards

    Ghirardelli chocolate squares

    A photo box :D

    Hair accessories

    Jewelry (especially handmade)

    craft supplies

    endless possibilities!

I cut the 3 drawer bases in a gray cardstock, and the actual drawers in a lemon cardstock.

I stacked the files (adhering them together) then made my decorative panels.

I love the color combination of this, and the elegance of the finished product.

This ribbon is actually quite stunning in person.

It matches perfectly because it has the hues to yellow/gold as well as the hues of the gray/silver in there.

My wire butterfly was the perfect little addition to this but you can add a charm, monogram tag, mini bird, flower, or whatever else you want to dream up.

    Now the paper!

I made it myself,  by repeatedly stamping  one of the flower silhouette from the  Occasional Labels © set in a pale gray ink, then using my markers to color the flowers. I added a little more yellow to each bloom by using a dimensional gel pen!

I also used a larger silhouette flower from the Framed Elegance © set. That was stamped in the same gray ink, but stamped off once, then restamped for a very subtle, but stunning “filler” in a larger scal, to take up some of the white space.

It is a sneaky peek at what is to be released for the April 15th Release!!

I’m not giving you anything else, until then!

    ANY guesses??

It can’t get much more fun than this :D

    Hi everyone!

I’m back today with a lot to share! So get ready for a read :D

Today begins our first day of Perfect Peek projects!

The My Time Made Easy ™ LLC Release is April 1st

The team and I are ALL sharing our first preview of one of our newest templates called Berry Sweet Basket, and stamps which were designed by Kristin! So make sure you stop by and congratulate her!

To view all the projects from our group post today you will want to visit:

  • Kristin Bueter
  • Debbie Marcinkiewicz
  • Katie Cotton
  • Lisa Kind
  • Monique Hansen
  • Tangii Crain
  • Our guest this month is Amy Sheffer!
  • Tomorrow is the official April 1st Release at My Time Made Easy ™ LLC, and the team and I will share their samples, using our 2nd template! So stay tuned for that.

So with no time to waste, let me share my first peek at my own project using the Berry Sweet Basket  Berry Sweet Basket $5

Available in PDF, SVG, GSD, DXF, WPC

    Completed Project Size

    6 1/4 Inches Wide

    6 1/4 Inches Deep

    8 1/2 Inches Tall

This template coordinates with the An Apple a Day Pretty Pieces Cut File!

Are you looking for a simply unique basket to present your gifts in? Well I think you will find that this one is so “berry” sweet!

This basket style is like no other. No fancy weaving needed! (unless you want to)

Fashioned after the fruit containers you find in your grocery store, you will fall in love with this new take on it!

I’m certain you will find it perfect for every occasion. The basket is quite large (and can be resized), and can be filled with a wide arrangement of gifts such as:

An Apple a Day Pretty Pieces Cut File

Use it as an Easter Basket for the kids!

    Handmade cards

    Real/artificial fruit

    Real or artificial flowers

    Jars of jam

Baby items for a shower, or new arrival!

    Homemade soup

    Bake mixes

    Candles

    Home baked treats

    Office supplies……Endless ideas!

Now that you know more about the template, let me share the details of how I made my basket!

I cut my Berry Sweet Basket from chocolate cardstock.

I tied on a red gingham ribbon, then added the jam jar from the Well Preserved © set. The jar was cut out using the Well Preserved © Pretty Pieces Cut File.

I was able to stamp the top “plaid” pattern in red, like the ribbon. I tied the top wih some embroidery floss.

I stamped the label onto the “jar”, with the apple image, so it would coordinate with my  Berry Sweet Basket  contents.

The sentiment was stamped in the center of the label for my Berry Sweet Basket from the NEW! Occasional Labels set which was cut using the Occasional Label Pretty Pieces Cut File.

I stamped my sentiment “Happy Trails” which I “built” using the NEW! sentiment building images from the Sentimental Occasions set. You will fall in love with the possibilities of this set :D

The “to you” is from the Just For You © set.

I obviously chose to fill my basket with 7 of the An Apple a Day Pretty Pieces Cut File. Really cute, fun and easy! They are a perfect addition to this template.

    An Apple a Day $2.50

Available in PDF, SVG, GSD, DXF, WPC

As they say an apple a day…

Now giving little treats can’t get ANY cuter.

This cut file makes the perfect party favor!

Fill these “apple” favors with flavored hard candies, chocolates, mints, or other candies of your choosing, for a unique wrapper that is sure to make them smile! You can put in little handmade soaps, tea lights…or other fun treats!

In mine I put 4 chocolate candies.

You then take a brad, prongs face up, and insert it through the hole of one of the panels.

You then take the opposite panel, and put the prongs through that one, as well.

Repeat this until all ends are through the brad prongs.

    Optional:

Depending on the look you want, apply your “leaves” to the brad.

Fold down your brad prongs. This securely closes your “apple”.

Then top your “apple” off however you see fit. I used a brown, pre-tied bow as my apple stem!

    DONE!

Change the “color” and the “apple” can quickly become a pumpkin, orange, muffin, cinnamon bun, blueberry, a sewing pin cushion, stack them to create a “snowman”, or Santa Claus…maybe even a cute little bunny!

The only limit is your imagination!

This is my entire gift ensemble!

I also used the NEW! Pretty Pattern 03 Sketch for part of my project.

I had fun with this sketch, and loved making my card to match my Berry Sweet Basket !

I decided to use my Harriet Hop-Along Basket Single © – Digital, which I mirrored. I then took the heart patch, and bow from the Harriet Hop-Along Birthday Single © – Digital set, and added it to my Harriet Hop-Along Basket Single © – Digital image.

I love having these possibilities to transform my images in so many ways be it in size, mirroring the image, adding/layering other elements, and even digitally coloring if I want.

Here I obviously used my Copic Markers, and doodled on the little flowers. I also made my own grass too :D

In order to “match” the ribbon on my basket I printed the GaGa for Gingham © paper, as my patterned layer. Too fun! This also matches the Pretty Pattern 01 Challenge!

I used the butterfly from the Tending The Garden ©  set, and added a flutter trail using the Fanciful Flourishes © set.

Now let me share my take on the colors :D

    Please join us for dinner

I LOVE how this gift box turned out :D

I use the In Suspense template to create a “dinner” invitation gift. We have some friends we want to invite over, and I thought a little gift box of homemade raspberry cookies (not cooked yet-sorry!) would be a nice way to invite them over!

For the template itself, I actually cut off the “door hanger” portion. leaving a bit of a top tab, and folded if in half, forward, for a clean and finished look.

I strung my ribbon through the tab closure slot, and added my tag that reads”Please join us”. That sentiment is from the A Spot of Tea set. I omitted the “for tea” part :D I love the look of this project.

I had really wanted to use the utensil image from the Fancy a Cuppa? set, to create my own dinner “place setting”, since we released it but had ran out of time to bring my idea into fruition. I love being able to go back and use older products :D

For the place setting I used the Killer Curves: Fanciful Frames border for the design on my virtual “plate”. I stamped it in green and colored it in. I added some flowers to the border, using the mini flower and “berry” image from the Singing Silhouetteset. I added more color to my plate, using my Copic marker.

I then stamped, colored and cut out my utensils from the Fancy a Cuppa? set, and added them with dimensionals. Don’t they appear to be set in my plate ?! I love that!

The red and green layer are meant to serve as my placemat. Corners are stamped with the corner flourish from the Killer Curves: Fanciful Frames set, in white. A simple detail.

OK I have to admit, I used white instead of ivory :C I totally forgot the color was IVORY! LOL!  But, in my opinion, it was a neutral, so it was OK to switch it out! LOL! I also added a contrasting darker green. It’s all about getting started and running with it.
