A gift for you

Mar 11, 2010 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, My Time Made Easy

Well let me just say thank you to everyone who has taken the time to stop by and comment! I also received many emails from you all and that was really sweet! It means so much to me. I’m sure you all can imagine the time, thought, and effort that goes in to each project, let alone the HOURS spent posting it all! Crazy. Thank goodness I truly LOVE what I do 😀

I am working on the regular posting again through the month, so that will be good! I’ve missed posting daily, and I can’t promise it will be EVERYDAY but I will do my best to get something done. Again no promises, but I am making an effort.

I’m very excited about what is to come here and at My Time Made Easy ™ LLC! I think you will be too 😀 Things just get better and better 😀 In case you missed it I am sponsoring/teaching a class at the next Stampin Around event!I will be there at Wholly Scrap Saturday April 17th! Details —->CLICK HERE! You definitely will want to sign up soon as space is LIMITED!!!

I want to ensure that I do continue to use out “older” stuff, with our “newer” stuff. While designing my sets I always try to work on making them work with others at some point. I enjoy versatility! Not only in my templates and stamps set but often in my creations….

Sometimes you just need a generic card. No “real” occasion, just something generic stamped on it. My DT member Pam mentioned in one conversation how the “A gift for you” sentiment from the Bringing Home Baby © would be perfect on ANY gift/card/tag. So I definitely took that to my craft room (thanks Pam!!) and came up with this

a-gift-for-you.JPG

I am in LOVE!

These colors are so rich, vibrant and really call out that Spring is coming. (to me anyway)

Do not expect me to ever tire of this All A Flutter © butterfly set! This set is VERY special to me, as it was designed for my daughter Alexa and all the PSF’s who have supported us during her cancer treatments. Obviously butterflies have a very profound meaning to me personally.

While I haven’t really been around in a while to chat it up with all my PSF’s I always hold each of them close to my heart. They truly helped me get through the most difficult time in my life. I don’t know how I could have gotten through some of it without all of them behind us. Their letters, cards, and chatting it up in our group all hours of the day and night. Kept me sane while we lived at the hospital. They were my angels on earth.

When Alexa completed her treaments all my PSF’s got this charm from Tiffany & Co. for her (hers was on a necklace but I couldn’t find it on the site)

24409724_m_over_m_4.jpg

It was to signify her long journey through fighting her cancer-like the caterpillar in his cocoon, and her new beginning, as she transformed into the butterfly. Honestly Alexa isn’t allowed to wear it (yet!) Only on very special occasions where she will be chained to my side! LOL! I will give it to her when she is older and responsible enough to understand the sentimental value this has for our family.

Alexa is comping up on 3 years of remission this May! Her hair is getting so long, and is as thick and shiny as it was before. We are living a “normal” life again for the most part.

The butterfly in my set was designed after this amazing gift, that forever touched our hearts. The shape is quite similar. Admittedly I do wear it time to time. Always when we go for her bi-monthly check ups to check and be sure the cancer hasn’t returned. I feel like it brings me comfort and reminds me to have Faith that God has a plan for Alexa. Far greater a plan than I could ever dream up. So I trust in that.

Now let me share some details of the card.

detail-gift-for-you.JPG

The tag was the start of it all! I love anything on an angle! Adds so much interest. This is one of the tags from Tag You’re It © (also available in PDF). I stamped my sentiment from Bringing Home Baby ©, then I stamped one of the smaller dashed line flourishes in the corner. I then added a mini Prima Rose to it.

My butterfly was stamped on Lineal White cardstock in a green ink from momento. I then inked up the solid wing prints from All A Flutter © in a lavender color, and dabbed some darker ink to the wing centers then stamped. The paper texture really adds the the look of this butterfly!!

On the right panel I stamped the larger flourish pattern from Fanciful Flourishes.

gifted.JPG

You will really love this set 😀 Added some more roses, and some ric rac ribbon and lace.

Perfectly elegant in just a few minutes!

I have more to share tomorrow. My daughter Alexa is going to share a poem she wrote about Spring! She is very excited I am going to share it here tomorrow 😀 I’m so proud of all her writing how can I not?

Till tomorrow…..

Some news to share

Mar 9, 2010 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, My Time Made Easy, Uncategorized

Where on earth has everyone been? I’m getting a complex! LOL!!

Maybe its the nice weather?

Its been very quiet here. What have you all been up to? I know you are around because the store is buzzing with orders, but HERE where all the eye candy for the store has been has been eerily silent.

Have you all enjoyed the projects shared over the last 10 days? I love hearing your feedback on what you liked, what you loved and maybe even what you hope to see from me.

I did a “test” this month sharing peeks 3 days early and am wondering how you all liked that? Should I do that again next month or did you love the original idea of INSTANT gratification and seeing everything on the first? I am doing my best to continue to improve, and YOU the customer are what helps me do that.

So let’s hear it!

Now how about my news?

If you aren’t in New England then you may not care, but if you are this might pertain to you!

I am sponsoring/teaching a class at the next Stampin Around event!

I will be there at Wholly Scrap Saturday April 17th! Details —->CLICK HERE! You definitely will want to sign up soon as space is LIMITED!!!

I am going to use a stamp set and template from my MAY release! Everyone will get an early peek :D. I hope to meet you there!

Now how about a card?

Tis the season for all sorts of blahs and sickness as the weather turns, so I thought I’d whip up a Get Well card

Wishing you….

flutter-get-well.JPG

a speedy recovery.

This is one type I never have enough of, and always seem to need.

Once I created the All A Flutter © set I KNEW I needed a flourish set. I mean I think it is a staple for each company to have their own!! When I designed my set I was careful to make sure I had a variety of flourish styles, and sizes. I wanted a “go to” set that had something for everyone! With my flourish set you can use it on it’s own, with butterflies, as flowers stems, with sentiments or build your own flowering flourish! You can even used the dashed lines, pierce in between for a faux sewn look! Gotta love that!

tilt-get-well.JPG

As you can see the large flourish from Fanciful Flourishes © makes the PERFECT butterfly trails! That was definitely intentional, given my love for butterflies!

Now speaking of flourishes, how about that butterfly!! This butterfly is from All A Flutter ©. When I created the PLAIN open lined butterfly I had big plans for that! I knew paper piecing, layering the wing prints from the set, of stamping in smaller patterns would prove to be a JAW DROPPING possibility! So here I used the small flourish from the So Sentimental © set (designed to match the Fanciful Flourishes © set) and stamped the flourish pattern on either side of my wings! It looks like a whole new stamp!!

closer-view-bfly.JPG

There are 2 flourish patterns in the set. They go in opposite directions. That is so they can be stamped on either side of the frame that is in the set, and it just so happened to be perfect in the butterfly wings too! I just made sure to mask on side of the butterfly as I stamped it. SO PERFECT!!

I used the leaves in the Fanciful Flourishes © set to stamp some leaves under my Prima flowers that you see here. It is a subtle detail.

Now I used that same flourish that you see in the butterfly to stamp my own pattern on the bottom portion of my creation! I stamped all of the images in brown ink. On the bottom layer I did some stamping of the same flourish in white craft ink for a softer “fill in” of pattern! I used a white gel pen to dot my flower centers!

get-well-soon-side.JPG

Quick and easy.

The sentiment is from So Sentimental ©. This is a must have all occasion set with sentiments and matching verses! Great for either the outside or INSIDE of any card! OR use it anywhere else!

Well I will return tomorrow with another card for you!

I hope you enjoy the gorgeous weather we are having! Spring feels so close now! I cannot wait 😀

Thanks for stopping by.

A Happy Life

Mar 6, 2010 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, Home decor/3-D items, My Time Made Easy

Sorry this is late.

I had much to do and I am caring for my 1 yo niece! I forgot how much they fill up the day and that you can’t turn your back for a SINGLE second! Thank goodness I have 3 of my own helpers! It has been a while since my own children were that small. I often wonder how I got anything done. I so enjoy having her. She is just the sweetest thing on 2 lil feet.

OK projects for today…..you need to go and see Tracey’s project! You are sure to be inspired. Also check out her projects from earlier in the week 😀

tcuccia-peek-tag-1.jpg

Words from Tracey:

“Even though I have girls, I do have LOTS of nephews, and I enjoy making things for them as well, though I think I’m naturally inclined towards girl stuff, lol. Today I have a twist on an old favorite, and something new…”

You won’t want to miss it—-> Visit Tracey Cuccia <—-click there

Now for my project.

A Happy Life

a-happy-life.JPG

Now that saying says it all doesn’t it?

This is a sentiment that I have personally always wanted. I feel that it is a wonderful “wish” for someone and is perfect for a few occasions such as New Home, Marriage, Wedding Shower, New Baby, even a promotion….any new beginning. So Sentimental © is sure to have something to suit every occasion.

I have a bridal shower to attend in a couple of weeks and knew that was just the sentiment for my card. I am giving a gift card to one the the places that they registered. Since it is a bridal shower I decided that the It’s A Shower © template would make the perfect focal point for my card.

choice-happy-life.JPG

I used one of the tag shapes from the Tag You’re It © Cut File (also available in PDF) and welded it to another tag to create my tag card! That is something that is fun and easy to do. I really love the shape of this too. I resized this one to be about 4 1/2 inches wide (and whatever that converted to tall! LOL! Just click “maintain proportions”). Normally I like to resize by percent to ensure all my pieces are the same scale. For this, since I was doing a card with the same shape it was easy to just use “inches”.

I layered on my Ga Ga for Gingham ©paper and Carousel cardstock layer. I then stamped my flourish from the Fanciful Flourishes ©stamp set. I added liquid pearls to the flower centers. I then got to sewing! I just went around it 3 x’s in a whimsical pattern. Then I stamped my “A Happy Life” sentiment from So Sentimental©.

Now for the umbrella…

umbrella-close-up.JPG

I resized my It’s A Shower © Umbrella and all the pieces to 60% the original size. I mentioned when this 3D It’s A Shower © Umbrella was released that it could also be used on cards, so here it my sample!

I created my umbrella from the Fanciful Flourishes © paper in Fortune Teller. Prior to assembling, I added the scallop layer in white. I used my copic markers to lightly color in some of the white in flower pieces on the paper! It was PERFECTION!!! Then I added some liquid pearls to the flower centers. Once dry, I assembled my umbrella template, making my back piece flat, so it would adhered flat on to my tag card.

umbrella-choice-close-up.JPG

I then filled my umbrella with tulle, and some tiny Prima roses I had. Then attached to my tag shaped card base.

I think this looks so stunning! It is perfect for my gift card.

I am wrapping this in a gusset cello bag, and tying with some lavender floss. DONE!

umbrella-life-happy.JPG

I really loved how this turned out, and think it will be much appreciated. It isn’t your typical card.

BRIDAL SHOWER TIP:

To accompany my gift card….I am making the larger 3D version of this template for the actual shower as well. The idea for it is that each guest is filling out a slip of paper with either their marriage wishes for the couple, or marriage advice! Once everyone has thier slipped filled out, I will wrap the tuelle around it (like in the store sample) and they can treaure all the advice for many, many years to come.

Thank you for coming by and seeing another day of projects! I still have much to share too 😀

Please return tomorrow for even more ways to use the products from our latest release at My Time Made Easy ™ LLC

OK I’ve been pushing all limits and creating all sorts of samples that I am hoping are getting you inspired to create! I am just giddy over the projects that I have shared, and what is to come. It truly just gets better and better. Are you enjoying the samples so far? Now lets get down to business!! The new arrival!new-arrival.JPG Today I want to share with you some ideas using my NEW! Bringing Home Baby © set, and I thought this was *uber* cute!!!!!!! I’ll get back to this project in a minute! Today Katie has an AMAZING sample to share with you using our precious Bringing Home Baby © set! Take a look! img_9806.JPGWords from Katie:

I adore anything baby so when i saw the oh so cute templates, stamps and papers being released this month I was over the moon with happiness! And since I don’t have any girls myself, i particularly like making girly baby gifts! This is the perfect addition to a new baby room! Check out my Baby Catch All with matching wall art!

So be sure to check out Katie Cotton

Now even if you don’t know someone who is having a baby this set is still AMAZING 😀 If you purchased the Bouncing Baby Buggy © template you will definitely want this set too!! 8afe94f40a6ebe7deda2400eb2d61e10_image_600x547.jpgSo many options!! There is an amazing group of sentiments here. Open line art for those who love to color, and of course solid images for easy color fill-ins, or those who’d rather not color. There is just so much you can do with this set. What is not to love? If you have NO other baby sets, then this it THE ONE. Even if you do have other baby sets I’m certain this has something NEW! or special to offer to your collection :DNow on to boy themes. Many “boy” themes and gifts can be difficult. This set has made it easy for me to get inspired to finally do some BOY stuff!! Now a lot boy themes fall around “boat/sea/beach” and I thought that using the Bouncing Baby Buggy © template to create a sail boat would be PERFECT!! OK I was honestly challenged by Kristin to do it, and after about 20 minutes this was done 😀sail-boat.JPGYES! That IS the Bouncing Baby Buggy © template!!! I just cut it down, about 1 inch above where it tapers…..scored at a 1/2 inch in, and folded the top over to the outside.I told you this template was VERY versatile! I have much more to share with that soon :DI sponged the edges for a rustic look 😀 Added a simple cardstock strip around the bottom. My son is named Noah. I would have LOVED something like this back then! (I didn’t papercraft at that time). I’m sure I could make this an ARK now that I sit here typing!!!! OH!! I may just do that as a personal challenge!!! Sorry, my brain went in another direction-like it usually does. One idea sparks another…..My sail….new-boat-baby-2.JPG(Note: honestly I had NOTHING baby on hand so I put in some booties and cadbury eggs. Sorry! LOL! But sometimes you have to improvise! LOL!)I had a craft stick, which I stuck into a Styrofoam egg (cut in half). I hot glued that to the bottom of my sailboat.baby-mast.JPGHand cut with sail using my Coluzzle oval template. Stamped my adorable mini Stork image ( I so truly LOVE it!!!), which was colored with Copic markers. I then faux stitched it and applied a linen bkgd stamp to it. WAY TOO EASY!! You can make a TON of these. Adhered it to the stick with clear glue dotsIs this not AMAZING??? boat-delivered.JPGI created a life saver (whatever that thing is called!) using the sentiments in the set, combined with some circles I cut! Isn’t that a cute idea? May Arts has some natural burlap that I used to tie it on to my boat (adding dimensionals of course). I am in love! Now how about a card? Now all these coordinating stamps/templates/paper/and cut files are meant to make the entire process of papercrafting FUN, EASY and AFFORDABLE! You don’t have to use them on *just* templates!!They make perfect cards too!How about the Boy themed card?Little Boy Blue…..bouncing-baby-boy.JPGThis carriage is ADORABLE! Its so cute and easy to use.I stamped the outlined carriage, then stamped the solid carriage pieces inside for EASY color. I did cut it out and put it on dimensionals too. I believe in using as much dimension as possible. It really makes a card!boy-carraige.JPG Many of the sentiments were designed to fit in the center panel of the carriage!! I decided to use the Bringing Home Baby Boy © themed Pretty Printables paper for this! LOVE IT! It already looks stitched so the hard part is done 😀 Many of the patterns AREN’T just for baby! Be sure you check them out.carriage-boy.JPGI used a small SU! oval punch to create what looks like a baby in a blanket inside the carriage too! That was so simple but really adds to this.I used the Tag You’re It © cut files for this. I just resized the white layer to may my larger tag cut from blue. Easy peasy! Now you KNOW I had to throw a girly card in here too! Thank Heavens for Little Girlslheaven-girl.JPGAWE! That is all I can say when I see this one! SO girly!!Clean and simply sweet is never a bad thing-especially for baby themed projects. If you haven’t noticed… purple is my favorite color and it has been quite inspiring for me these days. A color I normally don’t take into my crafting, but an truly enjoying.I used the stitced plaid square of the Bringing Home Baby Girl paper for this one, and the Fanciful Flourishes (perfect match!) paper too. It is STUNNING!heaven-scent-cropped.JPGI simpley colored in my open line stork, and doodled her baby bag with my markers. She is cut out and on dimensionals too. She actually wasn’t too bad to cut out!!The flower adds to the softness and sweetness this has, as does the lace (something I rarely use but aways love to see other add) and flower frill.Supplies from todays post:

I always receive requests for MORE desk/office/card organization. I have MANY amazing things in the works that you will see very soon, and in the mean time this is all that, and then some!

Card Catch All ©

catch-it.jpg

Now stunning is this?

It took only a few minutes to make!

Looking for the perfect functional, yet decorative box that can be left out in the open to serve as a “catch all “?

You know what I mean! We all like to have something around to help us store/sort our “stuff”. From cards/envelopes/stamps, address book, contact lists, receipts, coupons, recipes, to do list, grocery list, kids paper projects…..maybe even toss incoming or outgoing letters! This is the perfect box for all ” that “. You can use it anywhere, yet have it look oh so pretty while sitting there!

another-cathc.JPG

Look no further! This has it all!

I used the flourish vine from the Fanciful Flourishes © set to serve as my design on this. This set has coordinating paper in a variety of colors this month too! I added the various size flowers where I wanted them to build my flowering vine pattern.

The category cards, and main sentiment “For Your Kindness” on the box was from So Sentimental ©. SO EASY! Im am beyond in LOVE with these 2 sets! You will be too.

In today’s project I made a address book, and a covered notepad to match my Card Catch All © box.

notes-2.JPG

On the address book I stamped the sentiment “My Dear Friend” from So Sentimental ©. I love how the simple flourish design from Fanciful Flourishes © makes this gift a real WOW! It was all so easy since they were designed to coordinate.

notebook-mini.JPG

Then on the address book, then the smaller pattern that coordinates in the So Sentimental © set makes the smaller note book just “fit” with this set. I also stamped the same flourish pattern in a pale blue in on the background for some “filler”.

Whether it be in the office, on a teacher’s desk, living room, craft space, kids room, entry way, in the kitchen, bedroom, or even in the bathroom for all those pretty lotions and bath products, this is the perfect “catch all”!

card-box.JPG

This template has a coordinating Pretty Pieces © Cut File: Card Catch All Add On.

This cut file is available in PDF, SVG, WPC, DXF, and GSD format.

You can see that I used it in today’s project. All the sentiments from So Sentimental © fit PERFECTLY on the category tags. It has the perfect “all occasions sentiments, and verses to match.

Who doesn’t love a “fancy” card/envelope template? I made a set of 4 as seen here.

card-catch-envy.JPG

Each card has a different phrase. You will truly fall in love.

This cut file is the PERFECT add on file that was designed to coordinate perfectly with the Card Catch All © Pretty Packaging template. It is also perfect to use on its own!

card-quad-3.JPG

This file comes complete with a A2 size (4 1/4 X 5 1/2) cards (no extra postage:D), fancy envelope, tri-fold card, 2 labels, and of course our category cards. All which match our Card Catch All © box perfectly!

Are you in love yet?

card-catch.JPG

I made 4 cards here, each using a different verse from the set. Inside each card the main sentiment is stamped.

card-tag.JPG

(inside this reads Thinking of You)

The best part is if you resize your Card Catch All ©Pretty Packaging template, you can simply resize your Add On © elements to match! Now you have a world of options!

Be sure to check out the So Sentimental © Pretty Impressions stamp set, as all our sentiments are a perfect fit for the category cards. Be on the look out for MORE great Pretty Impressions stamp sets in the future that will also coordinate with this amazing file!

Now you may want to know more about the stamp featured in today’s project:

So Sentimental $20 Set of 30 images

This is the perfect all occasion sentiment set!

It also has a coordinating Pretty Pieces Cut File: So Sentimental Frame. It was designed for you to perfectly layer your frame image in this set!

Whether you want a simple sentiment, a verse, or both, this has it all. The main sentiments come complete with a companion verse that can be used on the INSIDE or OUTSIDE of your card! Use them alone, or together. They can also take the main focus of any creation. The sentiments and verses were designed to fit the frame that is in this set as well.

If you like the flourishes in this set you just may want to see our coordinating Fanciful Flourishes © Pretty Impressions stamp set!

Now that is an IMPRESSIVE line up of coordinating sentiments/verses. The font is perfect for every style too!

Now on to the flourishes

—————————————————–

Fanciful Flourishes $20 Set of 21

Everyone could use a fancy flourish set! This set has a nice variety of various large and small flourishes. It is nice to have a variety to suit any project. There are also some pretty leaves and flowers that will allow you to easily build your own “flowering” flourished vine pattern! OR of course use them alone in any fashion. These pieces being separate allow you to easily create multicolored designs and various placement options. Another great feature is the dashed lines! They look so soft and elegant. They can be pierced in between to make them appear like they were “stitched”. The perfect addition to any creation. If you like the flourishes in this set, and you are looking for some sentiments to coordinate, you just may want to see our So Sentimental © Pretty Impressions stamp set!

——————————————————-

Now how about seeing these 2 stamp sets in action on a card?

With Love

with-love.JPG

This is a card for my husband-all blue. His favorite color. I LOVE the Argyle Amazement © set too. Makes a quick backgrounder. Then when I was done I thought it may be too girly? Lots of “flowers”. Oh well, at least I actually made him a card finally.

Anyway, I love how this came together. One of the tags from Tag You’re It © cut file being part of my focus. I used the flourish as a “stem”, then added a crochet flower, and small Prima flower.

detail-tag.JPG

Here you can clearly see how well the sentiments and verses work together! The sentiment is one I say to my husband often (and my children)and HAD to include it. It’s so perfect.

I actually hand cut the frame but them decided that a cut file was NEEDED!! Thank goodness for that, because now we have a much smoohter, cleaner looking look 😀 You will see the difference too! Plus one can never have too many frame choices.

Here are the supplies from today’s project:

Supplies:

Let the releases begin!

Feb 25, 2010 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, Pink Cat Studio

Hi everyone!

I’m back! Finally. The kids are on vacation, and we all got the worst tummy bug the last few days. THAT is never fun. Jay and I were also sick at the same time, so that makes it even harder taking care of the kids. Usually only ONE of us gets sick first, but not this time. Thankfully it didn’t last too long.

Anyway we are all on the mend now!

Hope you are all enjoying whatever weather you are having. We had now yesterday, rain today. Poor Jay. He got a snowmobile this winter and hasn’t gotten to use it much at all. Usually in New England we get slammed with snow, and this season has been relatively MILD. Don’t tell him, but I don’t mind too much! Getting the kids all done up in their winter gear is exhausting.

I’m getting ready for the My Time Made Easy ™ LLC March Release. Peeks start tomorrow!!

You all begged for peeks so this time we will give it go!

Here is a snippet of a sample of what is to come!

You HAVE to see all the Design Team samples! They are AMAZING! Check out the PCS Blog–>HERE!

Could it get any cuter?!! Melissa is just so amazing. I LOVE her stuff! LOVE!

I especially love the Sick Lily and Billy!! I so should have remembered to pull those out to play this past week. Instead I had too much fun using all three of the Lily Bug images!!

Now I don’t know what it is but I am in quite the CARD funk!! Obviously it certainly has NOTHING to do with the UBER cute images :D. Between designing stamps, templates and cut files my brain just doesn’t want to think CARDS! So I apologize for the lack of that certain something that is missing.

Hello Friend Lily Butterfly

hello-fairy-flower-friend.JPG

OBVIOUSLY she was going to be my absolute FAVE! I don’t think she could possibly get cuter!

I so enjoyed coloring her. I normally would go with PINK or PURPLE but tried to step outside my little color box! And normally she’s have blond hair! So I was proud of that.

I got this paper pack and cannot for the life of me remember when, or where! I loved the flowers along the bottom of one of the pages. There are some funky flowers in it, and some lady bug paper (scroll down for a peek at that).

I decided to layer the flowers on to a tag (part of my next release!). I uses a rub-on and a epoxy sticker for my sentiments here.

Now here is a quick project Amber did for her BFF Emma

amber-with-pop.JPG

Being the “bad mom” I am (as this party fell mid release week for me) we didn’t make a card (GASP!) I KNOW! I’m awful! Trust me I have plenty of guilt! I so should have used the craft hour the day before to do that with her, but totally spaced. I was lucky enough to remember to take her shopping for the gift! LOL! I’m sure some of you can relate.

So the morning of the party I told Amber we had to make a quick tag instead. I mean QUICK! The bag was pink and purple (see told you I love those colors! LOL!) and so I had Amber stamp and color Lily. I gathered all the Copic markers in the colors we needed (yes believe it or not my 5 yo is allowed to use my precious Copic markers! She does a wonderful job and takes good care of them!), and she got to work as I wrapped the gift.

She colored her (except for the cheeks) and I cut her out because we had like 10 minutes left till we had to leave for the party.

lily-pop.JPG

We punched a flower out, punched a hole in the center, and grabbed a Blow Pop!

Amber signed it ( with pop in flower because I didn’t even think to just slide it out I was in such a flurry) then we taped it to the bag and we were done!

I BARELY had time to get a photo. But she was proud so I took the 3 minutes we didn’t have to make sure I got at least these.

I would have liked to at least wrap the pop with tulle and wrap the stick but Emma didn’t care. She was happy to get a candy tag.

OK moving on….

Lily Bee

fairy-best-bee.JPG

She has a beehive hair do and all! Love it. I had this paper from Basic Grey for what seems like over a year, and have FINALLY got around to using it. It actually became my inspiration for my colors. Again I would have gone with other colors typically….but was so happy to try something different.

The sentiment is from another PCS set: Fairy Friends

I thought is was cute, even though she is a bee! LOL! She is a bee fairy to me.

OK another cute lil bug….

Lily Lady Bug

lady-meader.JPG

This one used that Lady bug patterned paper and some ?Cosmo Cricket paper I believe. I love mixing paper companies/patterns/colors.

Now this is the typical Lily color scheme you’d see from me and yet my least favorite of the creations! LOL! GO FIGURE!

I kept it sweet and simple. I love the colors, but my layout was truly lacking something. I needed a sentiment but it just never came together. See we all hit walls and ruts. If the release wasn’t today I would have let this sit until something sparked my fancy. I should have used a sentiment that came with the set, but I wasn’t seeing where. Probably that upper right corner, but it may have unbalanced the card…anywho….what is done is done.

I hope you enjoy all the eye candy from the team! You really need to check it all out.

Please come back tomorrow as you will NOT want to miss what we have to share. For the next 3 days some team members and I will be taking turns sharing peeks at what is to come from the MTME March 1st release! Something for everyone.

The Pretty Packaging © templates alone will leave your jaw on the floor-I promise!

See you then.

For the love of Argyle

Can you believe the I still have SO much more to share?

Tomorrow the entire team gets together to post yet ANOTHER amazing gift ensemble using elements from the latest My Time Made Easy ™ LLC Release!

Now today we have a peek from Catherine Doucette

mtme-welcome-home71.jpg

Words from Catherine

I just love the “You’ve Got Mail” Pretty Impressions Acrylic Stamps from the February release! Take a look at how I used them to “build” my house! I love to use my stamps to create custom backgrounds, and even use them for something totally unexpected…like a stamp window for a house :0)

Wait until you see her creation!!! Click HERE!

Myself, the design team, and YOU the customers have just fallen in LOVE with Argyle Amazement ©. It is easy to see why! This is a background building set, unlike any other I have seen, that just like its name-is AMAZING!!

Argyle is one of the hottest pattern trends right now! It is literally everywhere and I LOVE it. My girls especially have lots of clothing with the fabulous pattern.

You will be totally amazed at how quick and easy you will be building backgrounds, or using this set as the main focus or accent over and over again. It has elements to make things masculine, elegant, clean, simple or whimsical. Scroll down on my blog the last week and you will see this set used on just about every project possible.

So let me share a couple QUICK samples!

I’m tight on time today.

I have 3 samples specifically using the Argyle Amazement © set today, all with relatively similar layouts, but different color schemes to show you have it can go from Primary color WOW! to muted monochromatic colors, to the soft pastels for a baby card.

Summer Time

argyle-side-2.JPG

I used just the trio diamond flower pattern from Argyle Amazement, stamped on my cardstock in a staggered pattern, in chocolate ink. I then dusted off my copic markers to color it in! I had a blast. It actually came together VERY quickly. The main layer is cut with a circle, then layered onto a scallop circle.

so-perfect.JPG

This color combination just warms me up! It is like the sun on a perfectly warm summer day. I love this sentiment "Perfect in every way".

I had to use the All A Flutter ©set to make it appear that they were flying around this summer argyle garden. Butterflies stamped in red, and colored with markers and a Copic Spica glitter pen for some POP!

Then onto a darker, more muted combination.

Argle paired again with the All A Flutter © set

argyle-2.JPG

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the pattern this made! With all the options in the set the combinations, and color schemes are so endless.

As you will see, if you scroll around on my blog, I used the flourish flower argyle A LOT! I am just in love with it! That pattern is actually the flowers in the Pretty Printables paper collections this month!! Too fun.

argly-close-up.JPG

I added the similar wing print in the cross pattern to the butterfly.

The colors more monochromatic here . I defnitely think it has some elegance to it. I’m keeping the occasion options open on this one by leaving it blank. I love the pearl accents I added to the butterfly, ribbon and flower centers.

In the bkgd I stamped a sentiment from the All A Flutter Sentiment set too.

Now lets get to a quick and simple baby card

best-wishes2.jpg

Admitedly very clean and very simple. There is however dimention to it that isn’t coming across in the photos (I swear! LOL!)

Sadly my lighting was a bit brighter than I realized, so you can’t get the full effect of the argyle :C Had I noticed how bright it was I would have re-taken them for my post today. Oh well.

The pattern in this one is stamped in brown, and it has a crosshatched texture diamond in a celery, and a turquoise diamond in solid, alternating patterns. Really fun and easy.

best-wishes-baby1.JPG

I used the little carriage that comes in the newly released You’ve Got Mail © set to make this into a baby card. SUPER SIMPLE!

The sentiment is from a set named So Sentimental ©. It is NOT released yet. Just a TINY peek at what is coming.

So that is all. Now you can see how one set using virtually the same layout can look so different. Make sure you scroll down to check all the samples that I’ve been posting. There is SO much that has been shared from today’s post to how to use the Cricut and SCAL as well as the awesome value in our Cut Files! I am hoping our gallery will be ready at some point. It is a lot of work and very time consuming. I want to ensure it doen’t have any glitches or CRASH if we have X number of people loading or accessing it. So hold tight on that. There will be a place we can all share our MTME creations soon.

Soon I will do a tutorial for those of you who are SCARED to try the digital paper, and NEED to see how super easy it is, as well as why it is SO cool, or want to see the cost effectiveness of printing your own! So be looking out for that.

Well I need to run. It’s Valentines week for the kids so I need to prepare all the supplies for them to complete their Valentine projects and class Valentines!! As I stated before I will share their completed projects.

Thank you so much for stopping by and sending me those super sweet comments and emails. I read every single one, and appreciate any time you take to stop by 😀
See you back here tomorrow!

I really hope you are getting inspired by all the projects that we are all sharing with you! Many of you will have the NEW! images delivered to your mailbox any time now.

Today Mona has an adorable project using the Pretty Packaging template Welcome Home © So go check it out—>HERE!

mtme-feb-sneak-peek.jpg

“MTME from My Home To Yours – planting seeds of friendship”

Today I am going to share some of my most favorite projects with you! They should definitely inspire so many various ideas.

I will be focusing on Critters with Heart © You can definitely check out the last few posts as I have randomly shared some other projects ideas with you.

This is an adorable set that is perfect for ANY time of year, when you want to say something sweet to the one you love. These CUTE little critters all have something in common-each was designed based on a heart! Add a punny sentiment and you are sure to warm the heart of anyone who receives something created with this set.

42 hearts were used in this set!

Can you see the hearts?

  • Porcupine – has a heart shaped face, and nose
  • Owls – heart shaped face, beak and wings
  • Raccoon – heart shaped face, nose, ears, and tail! He/she is also holding a heart in his/her hands
  • Little Chick – wings started as a heart, but got separated to make is adorable bird, and the nose was a heart too!
  • Chickens – they have heart shaped wings, and the body was a upside-down heart, that was altered. Also the feathers atop their head…..two hearts!
  • Piggy – the body was also an upside-down heart, as was the face. Also has heart shaped ears, nose and little heart prints on its bottom!
  • Mouse – an obvious heart shared face and nose. Who would have thought that a mouse could be SO CUTE?

Sentiments Include:

  • I’m stuck on you
  • Owl always love you
  • Whoo’s having a birthday?
  • You stole my heart
  • A little birdie told me…
  • What’s up chick?
  • You’re a hoot!
  • You crack me up
  • I love you “sow” much
  • You make my heart squeal
  • Happy Bird-day!
  • Just chicken in

This set is also available in the Digital Format!!

Now you can download these images immediately and get started on making some of the cutest projects. Digital images are wonderful because they can be resized, cropped, layered, colored, flipped…..endless possibilities! Step by Step photo directions are included with every digital stamp download file. They teach you how to crop, color and resize! In just a few clicks you will be making wonderful gifts, cards, treats and tags!

I used the Digital stamp image here to create a little piggy jar!

This little piggy

pig-top-side.JPG

This little jar was purchased in the Bridal section at Michael’s. You can buy a large pack of these cute candy jars for only $9.99 (after 50%off coupon)

This is a super sweet and simple treat idea!

pig-face.JPG

I simply resized my digital stamp image of the pig’s head to be about 2 inches big! I printed it twice onto pink cardstock, then cut it out!

side-piglet.JPG

I layered the eyes and snout on dimensionals for a more realistic look, then Layered it on my jar lid (which I already covered with a punched pink circle). Tied a bow around the “neck”.

pig-tail.JPG

Then I took a pink pipe cleaner-which was cut down, wrapped it around a pencil, added a clear glue dot the the back of the jar, and adhered the curly tail I made……and BAM! ADORABLE pig jar. This took only a couple of minutes to make.

pig-side-other.JPG

This is filled with only PINK peanut M&M’s. Does it get ANY cuter?

I think so!

You make my heart squeal

side-mousey.JPG

I squealed with delight after this project came together in about a minute!

I stamped the mouse tail onto my cardstock base. Added a SWEET Dove Chocolate candy with a glue dot. They also have other heart shaped candies for sale like store brand or REESE Peanut Butter cups in hearts this year (they didn’t last till I actually made this projects! OOPS! ). YOu could even use this concept for Lollipops!!! Now that would be CUTE! I then stamped my mouse head on pink cardstock, cut out, ad added with a glue dot. Easy Peasy! The kids could definitely make these!

mouse-vtine2.JPG

Well this set is certainly geared towards sending love ALL year long, but me being a mom, and having THREE kids in school, each with about 20 kids per class, I like to try to be economical and have my kids MAKE their own valentines.

dov-mice.JPG

It can’t get much easier, and certainly not any cuter!

Then I came up with this idea the other day that I think is SOOOOO cute.

Stuck on you

top-side-porc.JPG

This uses the adorable Under Cover © Pretty Packaging template. I used my Cricut to cut the circle when I cut my template sliding cover. This made it ULTRA quick! I was also able to cut my white layer too.

I stamped the heart argyle from Argyle Amazement on the decorative band I made. I LOVE that set. I LOVE the heart argyle. It was inspired by a sweater my daughters have. The argyle is so versatile.

I then made the top a shaker box, using the Stampin Up! treat cups! I often use Crystal Light cups but they are frosted so you wouldn’t be able to see the heart confetti/glitter.

pourculove1.JPG

I stamped my porcupine in black StazOn, onto the cup bottom.

I filled the cup with some heart glitter. Adhered a piece of acetate to the cup bottom to keep the glitter in, and still allow you to get a PEEK in the box!

por-mnm.JPG

For my porcupine I took my singlo gel pen in a peachy color and colored the inside of the cup, so you can see the ADORABLE porcupine face. Put a adhesive heart shaped rhinestone on the nose 😀

other-por-mnm.JPG

Filled this up with some M&M’s and it was done!

Welcome Home!

Feb 2, 2010 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, Home decor/3-D items, My Time Made Easy

Hope you are enjoying all the projects the team and I have had to share 😀

Today Katie Cotton has an amazing sample for you. So be sure to check her out!

Here is a peek:

kc-welcome-home.jpg

As soon as Lauren sent us the template for Welcome Home I instantly fell in love and knew just what I wanted to do with it! I wanted to fashion it into a bank and use it to accept donations for the Thornwell Children’s Home, a cause my church regularly supports. I wanted the little home to have the feel of being surrounded and filled with Love! Using the super cute heart from You’ve Got Mail and digi paper from Cute Critters, I feel like I’ve accomplished my mission! This little box will sit next to a box of cards that church members may “purchase” with all the proceeds going to the Children’s Home.It is so funny to me how one simple idea, can spark another, then that idea turns into yet another…..with a totally different outcome.

That is basically how my brain works. I generally am working on a project, and “something” within that project spurs and idea, that causes me to stop dead in my tracks, and implement my “vision”. If only I had more crafting hours in a day (sigh).

roof-2.JPG

So this is the story of how Welcome Home © was created!

It began with a card…..

bird-up-view.JPG

A little bird told me…

Inside it says “that you are adding an egg to the nest”

One of our friends is expecting their second baby! People usually don’t acknowledge a blessing like that, if it isn’t your first. I always try to make as big of a deal as I can no matter HOW many kids they have.

I had my adorable little bird from Critters with Heart ©, all stamped, colored and cut out. I even added a page pebble to the body (SO CUTE!). I had bought this really sweet mini birdhouse, on a stand (at Target) that I was going to dress up and put my little bird on. Once I got to stamping I felt the NEED to be more creative! I just couldn’t put it on that house!

So I thought…. how cute it would be to create my own little house shaped card. I could use a LARGE button has the “bird hole”!

I thought…..and thought. I was looking at another project I had done using the house image from You’ve Got Mail. That is when the lights in my head came on. Truth be told I think that SIMPLE house it that set is just the cutest house ever! So small and simple. I just love it. So…..I decided to use that as my inspiration for the “birdhouse” card.

I got to creating by using my house stamp from You’ve Got Mail © as my “template”. Before I knew it this card was created.

bird-on-chair.JPG

I just layered 2 house pieces together. I scored the pack piece a 1/4 inch, and adhered to my card front with Scor-Tape. CUTE! CUTE! I kept it simple since I wanted the focus to be that cute lil bird!

Once it was ALL done I thought it would be the cutest cut file! I knew if I posted the card people would ask for it. So it became a cut file.

Then I moved on to make another sample with it.

Another reason I wanted a simple house shaped card….

welcome-home-box.JPG

You’ve Got Mail © is an ADORABLE mail set for ALL occasions! I’ve already received MANY suggestions of add-ons too :DI thought it would be perfect ON the house shaped card!

This was the TINY peek you saw the other day.

real-close-mailbox.JPG

I love this set to pieces. SO versatile.

Once I made the mailbox, and added some flower soft I was in love. I used the Argyle Amazement © set for some detail, and was about done with my would be “card”.

As I completed it I thought “Wow! This would make a cute basket/box to give a gift in!” I planned on making a VERY simple connecting piece. As I got started I decided that I want it enclosed!

box-top-open.JPG

So one thing lead to another……

tab-in-box.JPG

and the tab tuck in method was complete!

house-box-top-view.JPG

I was bouncing at the possibilities!

Now it is really cute like this, but sometimes you *may* want to add a roof. This is an option that is included with the instructions.

roof-on.JPG

So there you have it! HOW this particular project turned from almost never being, to a cut file, grown template! Sometimes my brain is much faster than my hands!! Thankfully I was able to keep up. Often I end up just sketching stuff because I can’t get to it yet.

This is an adorable house shaped template that can be used over and over again!!

Be it for holidays, or every day. Welcome Home © is an ADORABLE house shaped box, with a fun tabbed tuck in closure. Those of you with personal cutters, this can really extend the possibilities of this template for sure!

Use the front and back panels as a shaped card, tag or scrapbook embellishment. I used it on a tag in a previous post.

Use it as a gift box for any occasion such as Welcome Home, Welcome to the Neighborhood, from our house to your house, get well, cheer up, thinking of you……you get the idea.

Fill it with a small house planter, flower seeds, coffee, tea, candles, bath products, a stuffed animal or doll, maybe some art supplies for a child to “decorate” it (perfect for a little party too!! VERY inexpensive party favor-turned party project). Endless uses and EASY to assemble.

Sometimes we just need a quick and cute shaped box! Nothing that takes too long to assemble, but still says “I care” so I made this for you. This one certainly fits that description.

All there is to decide is what project idea using this template will you “welcome”?

Now another idea I have is to show how you can MAXIMIZE your supplies! If you see a style or design it can be adapted to just about any type of project!

I took all the same elements in the 2 Welcome Home © samples, and created a third. How about a You’ve Got Mail © template to match?

welcome-set.JPG

Our friends just moved in together so we wanted to bring them a little something for their scantly decorated apartment 😀

So I used this set for presenting our gift.

Inside this Welcome Home © gift box I have THIS scented oil warmer.

I didn’t get a photo because I just filled it today.

welcome-mail-2.JPG
In here I have a gift card to Yankee Candle so they can pick out their own scent for the Oil Warmer. I also added a fee Peanut-butter Lindt Chocolates, to “fill” it.

Not really a GUY gift…..but it may mask the odor from his dirty socks that he leaves all over the house! LOL! AH! NEW love!!

All projects shared are from the February Release at My Time Made Easy © LLC

Each design team member is sharing a various template/stamp project combo for you! You are sure to be inspired. One of the best things about our collection is the INSTANT availability.

Today I am sharing some samples using the Pretty Packaging called Happy Mail ©, and our stamp set Critters with Heart ©!

Critters with Heart © is so super cute! Read the details on this set HERE. It is available in digital format, and our acrylic images! It wasn’t created to coordinate with the Happy Mail © template, but it does go so well together.

    Owl always love you-

    owly-front.JPG

    CUTE! CUTE! CUTE!

Did I say cute? I LOVE the owl. Owls actually have a heart shaped face if you look closely enough. I love the 2 owls in this set. I made them because my girls LOVE owls. They actually have owl bedding in their bedroom. I had to make 2-one for Alexa and one for Amber (at least that is what I was told to do! LOL!)

I make LOTS of girly stuff. It just comes EASY.This was my attempt at a BOY themed mailbox. Sadly I could NOT resist the urge to add the flowers :C It just felt perfect. I quickly saw the BOY themed mailbox idea slide away as I added the 5 flowers. Still, it is perfect. Noah “carefully” ripped the flowers off before putting it in his room. He was nice enough to hand them back to me so I could “re-use” them on a project that wasn’t for him (that was rather funny).

    close-owl.JPG

I’m in love with the heart pattern in the Cute Critters © Digital Paper. On the flag I used the Darling Dots © pattern. Did you realize you can print s amall swatch for projects like that? So cool

I thought this was a great mix of colors boy or girl!

I wanted to play up on the 2 blues in the pattern, to make it boyish. A collection of colors I’ve never used together, but work (I think! LOL!). I know I am guilty of not doing enough boyish/masculine projects. When I showed this one to my hubby he was NOT liking it AT ALL! I almost ditched it all together. The more I looked at it, it grew on me 😀 So no matter what he thinks, I think I like it.

    owl-top.JPG

I thought that the Jolly Rancher candies were a PERFECT match. Noah LOVES candy, and the dentist LOVES Noah. He was in heaven over this treat.

    another-owl.JPG

My own children have loved using this template, and I will share some photos of their works of he”art” later this week. Every afternoon we have a craft hour. The kids and I do a “project”. This is where the templates come in handy!!

This is how I balance “family” and “mommy time”. They get my time first (and are usually sick of me by the end of the hour) and then I can do what I want/need for craft time, and NOT feel so guilty! They are ready to take some time to spend on their own. It is good for mommy and good for the kids to learn to occupy themselves as well. They are old enough to do that too, so that helps too.

Often my girls will move on to a solo craft project, and Noah, well he’d rather ditch craft/mommy time for video games ANY day!

    kids-mail-1.jpg

See. Here are the girls during craft time. Hard at work. Amber is stamping, Alexa is coloring….and Noah looks BORED TO DEATH!

    kids-color-2.jpg

and another one….BORED! BORED! BORED! I don’t think he touched the mailbox at all.

    kids-3.jpg

I did manage to get a smile out of him.

    kids-4.jpg

See they have their own space with their own supplies, so I don’t have to fret over my things getting ruined. Kids LOVE having their own craft supplies, and being able to use them as they see fit. This is where we do all our art projects. The playroom is right off my craft room so I can easily help out when needed too.

We are still completing the details on our mailboxes, that is why we are delayed. We had to take a “creative break” to attend some birthday parties, and go and see Disney Princesses On Ice! THAT was amazing. Poor Alexa was TRAUMATIZED by the fact that Snow White dies after eating the apple! They even put her in a “coffin”, to only wheel her off and complete her happy ending later in the show. BOY did that make some of the show unbearable. We tried to tell her it wasn’t “real”, but she is very literal, and couldn’t get past what she SAW. Anyway….thankfully the Prince kissed her awake before intermission! LOL! I’m excited to get to sharing some more photos of my kids and their artsy stuff. Seems like forever since I’ve posted anything here with them :C BAD MOMMY.

OK now I have another sample using Happy Mail ©

    Sending you Sunshine

    happy-cheer-close.JPG

For this sample I chose to use the ADORABLE little chickie in the set, and combined it with the sentiments and images from You’ve Got Mail ©!

    another-chirpy-close.JPG

How cute is that lil chickie? Love him in red & yellow. I also love lots of dimension. It is just one of those things that is quick and easy, but makes a huge impact on a project! On this the bird is popped up as is the umbrella.

This is SO spring to me.

I have to say this umbrella patterned paper from the A Loving Heart © collection is my FAVORITE! Kristin did an amazing job on all the paper! No surprise there.

I was SO inspired by the umbrellas in the pattern that I mimicked the design on my mail flag.

    mail-flag.JPG

I stamped the umbrella on my flag in brown ink. I stamped it again on some scrap paper, and cut it out. I added Flower Soft to it, so like the paper, flowers appeared to overflow from it. LOVE THAT!!

Now my idea of sending someone a CHEER UP sort of gift, is something along the lines of pampering

Inside the mailbox I put a pedicure set from the Target $1 spot, and some nail polish. Nothing overly fancy, but it sure makes a super cute gift, don’t you think?

This template truly goes together in a snap.

Now obviously this template is your “traditional” mailbox! If you are like me, you have scoured store isles in search of the tin version of this, year after year. The FUNNY thing about the tin version is we buy it to ALTER/COVER! LOL! Why not make your own from cardstock?

This makes it customizable, easy and AFFORDABLE! Now you can make one for everyone, and afford to fill’er up! Cardstock usually costa a MAX of 0.20 cents a sheet, and this can use ONE 12 X 12 piece!

Don’t forget you can easily resize the template if you have a personal cutting machine, to suit larger or smaller projects. Even better.

You know I love matchy matchy stuff. Every good gift needs a card right?

Speaking of smaller projects…..did you see our Love Notes © Cut Files?

I wanted to whip up a simple card to tuck inside my template.

Here I used the cut files to create my card. Same design as the mailbox. Scallop layer in white. Main card layer in red. You don’t have to add the scallop layer, but it sure is PRETTY! The patterned paper being my main layer. Quick and cute.

Then I made my envelope pocket. It is just a cute pocket that your heart shaped card can slip in to.

Now how cute would these be for Valentines day? You’d pay MORE for ONE box of valentines that this cut file! Your children can have the fun and pride of making their own too!

On this I made the scallop layer meant for the heart notecard, larger, so it layered on to my heart pocket. I used the You’ve Got Mail set to decorate it too. Cute eh?

Another FAB project for the kids to do of ALL ages! My kids LOVE the Critters with Heart set!

Noah’s favorite is the porcupine. Amber loves the owls and Alexa, she loves the pig! LOL!

What is YOUR favorite Critter in the set? I’d love to hear it!

Thank you for stopping by! Lots more to come tomorrow, so I hope to see you back here.
