Today I have two projects for you all.

My first project uses the NEW! Round and Round template.

Upon designing this template, I wanted it to be versatile, and that would mean be able to use it as a box, but also a pretty oval basket. So, leaving the lid off, and utilizing the handles that come with the template, I did just that!

I think we are never too old to get an Easter basket, so I made this one for my mom.

When I think Easter I think polkadots and bright colors.

I cut the basket from a fuschia cardstock. I chose to use the cheerful polka dot flower pattern from the Spreading Spring Cheer  paper collection for the bottom.  I think its seriously cute, and I love the bright colors. This is an usual color palette for me to design with, because I usually go for pastels or rich colors, not BRIGHT, but stepping out of my comfort zone was so enjoyable.

My main image was the tag from the Round Off set. I love the “egg” shaped bunny. She is too cute. I layered it onto a label I cut using the Fine Finish Tag Cut File. Not only does that cut file coordinate perfectly with the Round Off set, but it makes for some amazing tag/labels on its own too.

My mom loves Lindt Chocolates, so I placed some Lindt Carrots in here.

TIP: Place some floral foam or styrofom into the bottom of the basket so your items stand up perfectly without toppling over!

This year my mom’s birthday falls ON Easter, so it will be a great addition to her gifts. Since I was a kid I always gave her an Easter basket of goodies, and this year thought my handmade creation would be great.

My mom loves all the packages I create, as they often go to her to give out to friends, family and as of the last year, her doctors, nurses and others who have taken part in her Cancer treatments. She is doing well, while still recovering from a major surgery, it could take another year or two to fully recover. I know I cherish having her around for hopefully many more years to come. It’s been a long journey, and she wanted to give up many times, but she held strong and kept fighting!

Now I’ll move onto another “cheerful” project!

Simple can often be best, especially when we are tight on time or have MANY of something to make. I love starting my project out with a patterned paper of choice to get my color scheme going. When using a patterned paper you don’t need to do much more work to make something look amazing.

So here I let the paper do the work for me.

I chose once again to use the butterfly pattern from the Spreading Spring Cheer  paper collection to cut my Well Contained template. As I said before, you don’t NEED to use the holder that come with it. because this can be fabulous all by itself.

Since the pattern is busy all I did was add a cute & simple tag using the Round Off set. I added my sentiment from the Spring is Here set. I made the tag coordinate by using the colors from the Spreading Spring Cheer  paper collection. I cut the tag out using the Fine Finish Tag Cut File.

I love packaging up the most inexpensive items and gifting them in a way that makes that seem so much MORE! With this economy inexpensive gifts don’t have to look, or seem cheap. We go back to the idea of “It’s the thought that counts”, and it really does. Letting someone know you are thinking of them doesn’t have to be expensive!

That is why I love this project.

Wrapping up some Diet Snapple Singles is a great way to cheer up a friend.

Two separate boxes of this were just $1 each! So for $2 you have a great little gift for a friend who may be having a tough day. Think of the different beverage packets you could put in here, keeping in mind what the person you are giving it to loves to drink most 😀

It is as EASY as that!
