Calling all dog lovers!

I have a project, just for you :D

dog.JPG

What a fun filled day I have here.

Today is the release for Pink Cat Studio-Fairy Friends

pcs_fairyfriends.jpg

Isn’t it SO cute?!!

I had a blast using it.

I THINK I saved the best for last with this one!!

What I am really excited about are the 2 projects I created using it, and the fact that I ACTUALLY got a video done for you! (I know its been a while! But they are quite time consuming)

I did my best to keep it short and sweet, so that I could post it on YouTube! You all know how LONG winded I can be, so staying UNDER 10 minutes is a NIGHTMARE for me! :C But I got it done, and *just* under 10 minutes-WHEW! I had to cut out my banter that I often put as the intro to the video, to get it done. I know, you don’t need to see me blabbering on and on anyhow, so I’ll type some of what I said instead.

So let me tell you what is in store for ya!

A few weeks ago, I asked for any feedback you wanted to offer on My Timeless Templates ©. Well, all you animal lovers asked for PET specific templates, to package up stuff for our furry friends, OR furry friend lovers!

Now sure exactly WHAT type of market is out there for PET/Animal theme stuff, but I did have an idea to hold you over till I have the AH! HA! moment :D (which I am totally NOT promising will ever even happen :C)

The Dog Fairy was PERFECTION for executing this idea too.

I used The Perfect Match © Box template, to create an ADORABLE Hydrant themed gift box! This box was designed, based on a  card I did —> HERE!

(OK while searching my blog I also found a cute 3D photo card I made of my own dog —->HERE! LOL!)

So here we go :D

See how amazingly versatile the My Timeless Templates can be?!

Now here are some photos of the projects (those who are peeking in from work! LOL!) to hold you over until you view the video!

Now I did two of the same design-one girly and the other more boyish. I will post photos of each so you can see how easy it can be changed up.

Now this is what I have packaged up-inside

red-hydrant.JPG

I put a homemade dog cookie, with the dog bone shaped cookie cutter, in this gift box :D

You could also package up just the mix, and let the person make the cookies them-self!

You could put a personalized dog tag in there, for the new puppy owner……..or have a dog themed kids party (like Clifford or some other dog like Bolt!) and make these the “doggy bags” filled with “doggy treats”!

No matter what you do for this, its seriously, way cute! (Or at least I think it is :D )

Well that is it for me today! Im working feverishly on NEW! Templates for the PTI release! YIPEE!

See ya tomorrow.

#2 Fairy Friends

Aug 5, 2009 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, Home decor/3-D items, Pink Cat Studio

Ok so yesterday you got to see the Tooth Fairy Tin I made for Amber, now I will share the one I made for my son Noah!

He wanted the Frog Fairy the second he saw it! In fact, after seeing the fairy set, he suggested that I ask Melissa to include a tooth image, just so I could make him a new BOYISH tooth fairy box! LOL! And she did! Thanks Melissa!!

other-side-noah.JPG

Noah wanted a larger altoid like tin. I asked him “WHY do one so big?” To which he replied “I need it big for it to hold all the MONEY that the tooth fairy will leave me! If its a tiny tin she might only put in silver money (aka quarters), and I want paper money (aka lots of dollars! LOL!)!”

So I complied. The tooth fairy will send paper money, next time. He has 2 more loose teeth! I’m going to be broke!

n-is-for-noah.JPG

The frog itself has 3 layers of dimension, that last being the arm/wand. Its really cute in real life.

He wanted it to also have a “N” for his name. Do I have specific, picky kids, or what?! LOL!

So, obviously I obliged :D Oh, and we couldn’t forget the “tooth” image either :D

Then I did a quickie card with the Owl, because I just LOVE it :D

owl-wish-you.JPG

I used a piece of acetate, that I free hand, cut into a cloud. I then just distressed the edges in white stazon, and stamped on the sentiment. I adored the look it has :D

The acetate sheet, star paper and cardstock are all from Papertrey Ink

Going with the star theme I used my star punch to punch a star from glittered paper, then dry embossed a star in the corner. The star trail was done in silver.

Quick and cute.

So that is it today! I have 2 videos to get done (at LEAST) by day’s end, a crazy busy week here, and about 200 emails to sort through later.

So stay tuned!

In the mean time check out the Pink Cat Studio Blog for more ideas!!

I’ll be back tomorrow for more.

So thanks for stopping by :D

Im very excited to share some peeks at NEW! Fairy Friends images from Pink Cat Stuido!!

Please note images will be released on Thursday August 6th.

These are the most ADORABLE Fairy animals friends ever!! We all had fun deciding what lil animals would make the CUTEST fairies. Then, Melissa worked her magic and this was created.

I think there is something for everyone. I know my kids were very excited! (now let me also say that while today I’m all girly, I do have a BOY idea to follow tomorrow :D )

So first up how about a bunny fairy!

bunny-box.JPG

Complete with 3D head, pom pom tail, glittery wings, and a magic wand!

When I got the images for this new release I was just giddy. However, over my shoulder I had someone else even MORE excited than I was! Yes, you guessed it, my kids :D

My daughter Amber immediately informed me that she has not been given a Tooth Fairy tin, made by me! Once Noah started losing his teeth it occurred to her, she had NOTHING to present her precious white jewels, to the tooth fairy.

(PS Alexa is past the age of losing teeth, and did have a tin I made her years ago!)

So I had her go through my tins, and paper to decide what she wanted me to make!

bunny-side.JPG

She picked the heart (as I knew she would! LOL!), and some Princess paper by Imaginesce that my friend Sonia sent our way (thank you again!!)

Amber knew she wanted the bunny image to be her Tooth Fairy Friend.

bunny-box.JPG

So this is what her tin turned out to be. She shows it to everyone who comes in the house! LOL!!

I’m happy she likes it so much.

That being said, I was on a pink kick when I moved onto the cutest penguin fairy ever!

pretty-penguin.JPG

I KNOW you think BLACK when you see a penguin, but this is a FAIRY so it can be ANY color, right?

I just went with pink and brown combo, and loved the outcome!! I covered the snowflake wand, with a flower :D

This penguin could be cute not matter what color you made it!

So now its time to check out the Pink Cat Studio Blog for more ideas!!

I’ll be back tomorrow for more.

OH! And you’ll be happy to know that I have a video to share this week using this new release too!

So stay tuned.

Things to know, and a day at the Sprinkler Park

Now more to know-Pink Cat Studiois having a release this week on Thursday! Peeks begin tomorrow :D Check out the blog for your chance to win the Fairy Friends set being released—> HERE!

Today was a beautiful (HOT!) day here in NH! We haven’t had many of those this year.

I took the kids to a really cool sprinkler park for the first time today in Derry NH! My friend Lisa told me about it, so we got the kids together and made a day of it.

It was SUPER cool and FREE!  Now that is a great day trip :D I just brought drinks, watermelon cubes, grapes and snap peas-and we called it a day!

Today was one of those days that you TRULY enjoy being a mom and love every second with your children. You realized how fast time passes and how blessed you are to have them :D

Here are some cool photos highlighting our day:

Now he starts to get into the sprinklers

running-noah-3.JPG

We had to leave because his lips were getting BLUE! LOL!

noah-wet-water.JPG

The water was chilly (Alexa is doing her best to hide her face :D )

noah-soaked.JPG

but refreshing….(now Amber is hiding!)

noah-running.JPG

Now we have lil Amber

amber-water.JPG

She did her best to NOT get wet! LOL! At first!

amber-running.JPG

But that didn’t work so well

amber-close-up.JPG

Before you knew it her and Alexa were dancing in the “rain”

a-and-a-water.JPG

Alexa just ran and ran all day, in the water

alexa-running.JPG

She had a BLAST too

alexa-water-park.JPG

Sadly she is very sensitive to sunscreen near her eyes. We have a tearless kids sport one, but it still usually burns her eyes. So you can SORT of see, she got burned right UNDER her eyes where the sun screen WASN’T! It would have been too close to her eyes if I put it literally right under. Go figure she’s get a burn right there! Her skin is SOOOO sensitive!

Oh to be a kid again.! We were out in the sun a whopping 4 hours. I was EXHAUSTED! (and mommy remembered to apply and reapply sunscreen to the kids, and NOT herself! LOL! SO I am BURNED! OUCH!) I came home and took a nap. As I type they are dancing and singing in the living room, running around in circles! Can anyone tell me WHY, with all the technology we have these days, they CAN’T figure out WHAT it is that gives kids this kind of energy, and put THAT in my coffee!?!

In all seriousness there are no words to say how much I enjoy days like this. Seeing my kids happy, HEALTHY and free spirited, running through the water. Living a “normal” life again. Days like this I often thought may never be.

I swear I never take a single second for granted.

How blessed I am.

Fresh Flowers and Balloon Rally

Aug 2, 2009 Author: mytime | Filed under: All That Scraps, Cards, family stuff

Well I have a large post to share today, some eye candy and some family photos, so ready whatever interests you! LOL!

C.C. Designsis having their release tomorrow! :D I have shared several samples from this month’s stamp line up over the last couple of days. So scroll on down my blog.

One of the latest and greatest sets is byAmyR called Fresh Flowers. Its a very pretty set with some solid and open line art, with some sentiments too!

Here is what I got when I combined AmyR’s Sympathy Sentiment set, with her Fresh Flowers from this months Release, along with her Butterflies from last month (I love that set :D )

amy-r-sympathy-lauren.JPG

I thought it was just so pretty and elegant. I didn’t want anything overdone.

My colors are Sweet Blush, Ruby Red, and Ripe Avocado.

I stamped the floral image onto sweet blush cardstock.  Then I cut away the border around the flowers.

detail-lauren.JPG

I knew I wanted the butterfly to appear behind the flowers. I loved the clean and simple look.

The sentiment was stamped on sweet blush as well, and punched out with a large oval from SU! I also used a SU! Labels die.

Make sure you check out theATS Blog for more samples, and your chance to win this set!

Well it was a full weekend here at the Meader home.

It was full of things to do as we went to our town Annual Hot Air Balloon Rally!

balloons.JPG

This is a view on the field as they blow up some of the balloons

(note I really need to read up on HOW to work my awesome camera! LOL!)

It is really cool to see them all go up. I love seeing them blow up. They are HUGE inside. Me being terrified of heights, you couldn’t PAY ME to go up in one, even tethered!

I look forward to this event every year, since I met Jason. There are some great benfits to the type of “community” you have when living in a small town, where everyone knows everyone :D I really enjoy all our small town activities.

Here are the kids, fooling around for the photo, as we watch the balloons get blown up

kids-balloons.JPG

The kids LOVE this event too. Its just a really cool thing to expierience.

Here is one on lift off

amber-ballonn.JPG

Poor Jay, he was laying on the ground at the park! LOL! So, he got this shot! LOL! He has to either stand of lay down for at least the next week!

I had my niece Gabby for the day. She is almost 6 months old, and getting so big!

gabs-2.JPG

She is in 12 month summer clothing! She just cracks me up too. He has quite the personality.

She looks so much like my brother! Its really crazy. All my kids look like thier father, so I don’t know what having your own child, look like you feels like. That being said, since he looks like me, people we ran into, that I hadn’t seen in a while, thought I had another baby! LOL! And saying how much she looked like me! Um, NO! It was hilarious though.

gabs.JPG

She was SOOOO good the whole day. You’d never know she had a double ear infection! She is just the best little thing. I enjoy her so much. She like a 4th child to me :D She is at such a fun age, when they start making all kinds of sounds and imitating things you do. I could just squeeze her! (OK I do! And between the kids and I she is kissed to death! LOL!) The kids just fawn all over her. I can totally understand why people go for that 4th! LOL! That isn’t a hint that I’m ever having anymore, I’m just SAYING! We fixed that from ever happening again. All my friends have “babies” so I can get my fix!

Speaking of “babies” here are some more photos of MY babies :D

me-and-kids.JPG click to enlarge

Note: End of the HOT HUMID day at the Balloon Rally! I look tired, and hot! And I was :D

Here are the girls eating lunch

Another end of day messy photo! LOL!

Noah and Amber going down the big slide

slide-kids.JPG

Here is Alexa and her funny look she always gives when I want to take her picture

alexa.JPG

I have kids wear a Whistle around their necks, in case they get lost in the crowds! They are really good about holding hands, and sticking together, but sometimes people push through you and you just never know! I also wear a back pack and make them hold on the stings if my hands are full. We have like a little people train. They are all PERFECT ages to do stuff with. I am really enjoying them more and more all the time.

dsc_0020.JPG

Here is Amber and her whistle. I cannot believe my “baby” turns 5 in less than 2 weeks!

Noah taking a drink of a yummy fruit smoothy.

20090802_35.JPG

Looking at this photo I can easily see what he will look like at 17! LOL! Makes me a wee bit sad.

This is Noah on the Sizzler

noah-on-sizzler.JPG

The girls and I can’t handle the fast spinning of this one, so he went alone!

20090802_104.JPG

He has lost 5 teeth-so he has a toothless grin!

Then the girls on the spinning dragons

girls-dragon.JPG

They liked that one.

The fave was of course the Bouncy House! I got photos, but they aren’t very good.

So there you have some highlights from our day. We spent some time with our friends that day too, which was nice and fun!

Now I know summer is close to an end. Funny yesterday was sweltering HOT and HUMID and today and cool and rainy! Go figure. Gotta love New England weather.

Well that is all for me. Time to recover from a hot summer day.

Till tomorow……
