I too had gall bladder surgery this year, (Last month!) My doc told me after some people lose weight they get gall stones…I lost 40 lbs on W. W. last year…..hmm………..

The way you write about your family is so heartfelt. I love reading about your comings, goings and thoughts. I hope that you archive everything so that you can read them back to both yourself and your children when you are 100 and sitting enjoying a cup of coffee.
I enjoyed your card. The sidewalk leading up to the grass is perfect. I have to try that.

My DD is grown up and live in her own appartment in our town and I remember many of the things you mention here SOO well. Her challenge is a not very know chromosome deletion and trust me we have had many of the “lovely” comments you mention. Even from Doctors!!!

Lucky A to have you as her mum and lucky you to have this wonderful little person in your life.

Thanks for your comments today Lauren, especially about Alexa and any misconceptions people might have. As a teacher I often see how some students are labelled, and as a result they are not expected to achieve the same things as the other students. It frustrates me to no end. Anyways…I think it is just wonderful you were able to find an Art class for her. She will just love it…can’t wait to see pictures of her work.

Happy Anniversary Lauren! Awesome news regarding Alexa’s Art class I am sure she will have a blast! It is really hard getting past the stereotypes. I am a school teacher and my 6 year old son has Juvenile Arthritis. He was diagnosed when he was 2 & a half. Some days he is absolutely fine and other days he can hardly walk and I see the ‘looks’ on some parents faces who think he is ‘putting it on’. They need to come and live in my world for a day! Lauren, I love to visit your blog every day hoping to find more of your brilliant creations. I also love when you post about your family. I find it inspiring to read about your family and struggles and see your positive attitude through all that you all have faced. It inspires me to be more optomistic in life, and reminds me to cherish every day with my wonderful children too.
