Hello everyone,

Oh wow I really love your card design! It is so cool that people are being creative, I have tried before to make my own but I did fail really badly! I wish you all the best with everything!

Oh Lauren...NOTHING is as frustrating as that type of mistake on the company's part! I'm sorry you're having to go through all of that.

And a side note on Jay's discs. My husband (38) just had back surgery on Feb 25th of this year after going through all of the same stuff. Therapy, shots, oral steroids, etc. He's a California Highway Patrol Officer, so he really needed to get back on the road...but they make you go through this process before doing the surgery. FINALLY, he got the surgery. He had SERIOUSLY herniated discs that were pressing on his sciatic nerve ALL the time (and then HE would get on MY nerves...hee, hee), so he was miserable. He really did try and put a brave face on it, but it was debilitating. After the micro-discectomy, he's a brand new man! He just went back to regular duty (takes some time to properly heal after the surgery...he got REALLY good @ Facebook!) and is doing GREAT! Maybe that type of surgery is an option for Jay. It's minimally invasive and WORKS....long term!

Good Luck with Jay's back...and the swingset!

Hi Lauren,
We also purchased a wooden swingset from ToysRUs and had some pieces missing. Called the store and they said to call the manufacturer. We did and they are shipping the missing pieces within 3 days. Can't believe you are missing so much. Good luck. Great projects. Thanks for the inspiration!

Ugh! I hate when they say that. Sorry for DH's discs, hopefully he has seen a chiropractor. It usually takes up to 6 weeks to heal with chiro and PT, then you are good without surgery. Most don't require it.

Love the acetate butterflies!!

Uh, I feel your pain... literally!!! We are going through the same with with our play centre (sounds like it's the same one!). We were missing a vital piece on the 1st step which thankfully, alerted us to the problem... although the company sent it to us in a couple days. The worst part is the non-labelling and the fact that all the hardware is in different bags so you have to go from one to another to find the 4 different pieces to each screw!!! It has taken us days and we're not done yet either and because of the delay, my hubby had to go back to work and leave me with a 1/2 done playset to finish on my own (he won't be back for 2 wks... kids are NOT patient are they?). Oh the joys! All I can say, is that this sucker better be good, sturdy and last until the kids don't play on it anymore!!!
P.S. Loving the projects... especially the acetate butterflies!

Oh boy, that's not good. I would be going to the corporate office of Toys R Us as well especially if the local store knows that stuff is missing in several boxes and are still selling them. That bites! I hope you get somewhere with the company and hopefully Jay gets some relief with his back as well.

Lauren,

As a person who works in that type of industry, that is sooo unacceptable! What you need to do is call ToysRus corporate and start yelling. The buyer needs to know this so they could go at there manufacturer for this. The manufacturer not only should compensate the time you had to wait, but the hardware that you needed to purchase.

Hopefully you will get some answers and parts lol. Oh and your better than me, I would of said time to head back to ToysRus and return it or have someone from there come to my house and put it together.

OMG...you poor thing! I'm made with you...but laughing as well :O) Really laughing as a matter of fact! I'm picturing girly girl Lauren lugging all of that wood down the hill, measuring it and sorting it...and then realizing everything that is missing. OMG...I would have been soooo mad! But at this point of all the little things that are going wrong, you almost have to laugh. Good luck with the manufacturer.

Love your card also! GREAT layout and colors :O) Can't wait to see your PTI project!! Have a great week.

Wow! I would make them pay for pain and suffering too! Why is it that nothing goes as planned with these things! Who is doing the work at these factories? I would definitely make a stink (something I rarely do) because that is just wrong to the nth degree! LOL!

Love your card, btw! Diane has some cute sets. I have to get them out and use them soon! Maybe next week's challenge!

Can't wait for your PTI challenge! I'll keep my eyes on your blog! LOL!

Same thing happened to us... except we were only missing 1 piece of wood and had a piece of wood that belonged to an entire other playset in our box. The company shipped out the replacement the day we called, no questions asked, didn't cost us a thing (except the time and frustration!). So sorry!!
