   I think your cards are wonderful. I especially love the first sympathy card – beautiful. Your lunch box is so, so cute. Love how you did the handle. When I did mine I found the 10″ wire handle wasn’t quite long enough. Thanks for the tip on the purse handles. I’ll pick some of those up next time I’m at Michaels.

   Lauren….I have heard all of your sayings…I am not sure that I have any right now, but I will email you when I figure them out! 🙂

   I so loved your IDEAS!!! Your sympathy card was beautiful! 🙂 BTW, in our family we believe that butterflies are actually angels that are watching over us during the warmer months. 🙂 So, for me the butterfly had special meaning. 🙂

   LOL- that is so funny! I work with a girl from Italy, and I love hearing the literal italian translations of some of our phrases. My favorites are “between a rock and a hard place” or “six in one, half-dozen in the other”. Not that its quite the same, but I also always say “some days you’re the pigeon, some days you’re the statue” (some people have to think about that one for a minute – ha ha!)

   LOVE the stuff this month, especially the sympathy card and of course, the TEMPLATES. my word, you are amazing!

   Lauren, My Dad was huge into strange sayings, he used to say “think the rain will hurt the rhubarb? Not if it’s in cans? ” I always say the six and a half, half a dozen of another on but I always mess it up(I think I messed it up here LOL) which makes my husband crazy.

   Lovely cards…the PTI release was amazing as usual. I have heard the one about Peter and Paul, but not the other ones. How about…”don’t have 2 nickels to rub together.” Unrelated one….”the whole kit and kaboodle.” I think it sounds funny. I use idioms in my class all the time to teach my students, especially the ESL ones. There sure are funny ones out there…my dad (old cowboy) has tons of them, but some are not suitable for 8 year olds 😉

    I use them as well. Have heard the ones you said. Some of my most used.

    “I just spent all the Egg Money”
    “six to one, half a dozen to the other”
    “you hit the nail on the head with that one”
    “Stick a fork in me, I’m done”

    just to name a few. =O)

    Hey you! I’m sorry youaren’t feeling well 🙁 blech! Had a GREAT time with you girls — and N was surprised with what I came home with… but no need for a phone call, he believes me :).

    I’ve heard and have used each one of those sayings. here’s another:

    “It’s the greatest thing since sliced bread”

    (I use this one to describe A at the pediatrician) “She was stuck to me like white on rice” –where THAT came from, I have NO idea…

    Lastly – FABULOUS projects! That sypmathy card is gorgeous…I love the fun color combos you used as well…

    This is great. I love them all. You are amazing.
    Oh yeah, I heard all and have used those lines as well. Except the carpet one. Not sure about that one. There are so many more I am sure that I use but I can’t remember right now, too early for me.

    love the cards, especially that butterfly one! What a fantastic idea! As for the sayings, i have to be honest and say i’ve never heard of the called him on the carpet one hahahaha, but the others i have. I use them alot too. But MY husband is the one who uses them a lot more! And i find myself asking him what he’s talking about!!! 🙂

    Oh gosh! I’ve totally heard and actively use those sayings! We also say “cuter than a bug’s ear”, “the early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese” and my favorite that drives my own husband crazy is “And Bob’s you uncle!” as in “do step 1, then step 2, then tie a pretty bow on it and Bob’s your uncle!”

    I have a few that I use all the time that have a couple of naughty words in them. And where did I pick them up? my mother. LOL

    Absolutely love your Sympathy card – it’s sooo elegant!!

    I’ve heard all those sayings and many more. The only thing I can think of right now is “I slept like a rock”…and I did, lol.

    It was fun to meet you at CKC. I had a great time and I did indulge myself with the Nesties 🙂 – great price!

    Oh, I use sayings like that all the time! I’ve *always* used/collected them! And yes, dh looks at me like I’m crazy sometimes….
    I can’t remember very many right now (my grandmother used to say ‘If you can’t remember it, it must’ve been a lie.’ but the ones that I can remember –
    Between the devil and the deep blue sea.
    Spit in one hand, wish in the other and see which fills up faster.
    And my personal fave:
    Lord love a duck! (why? dunno. but I guess ducks need love too?)

    Okay, Lauren, you asked… when my ex-husband was irritated with me he’d say, “Don’t make me put something on you Ajax won’t take off!” LOL He didn’t mean anything by it, really, it was just an expression but it always made me bust out laughing! I’m from the south and we always say (when we see someone who has had too much to drink) “he/she’s drunker than cooter’s goat.” I have no idea who “cooter” is…but his goat’s always drunk! LOL Have a great day!

    Fun! I do NOT think you are crazy. I think most people have a few saying they can rely on. Here’s a few of mine.

    Her elevator doesn’t go to the top floor
    Don’t count your eggs before they hatch (from my wonderful grandmother)

    And your sayings are the ones I use all the time too. Here are a few more….

    “Rockin’ Robin”… for tidying up the house a bit

    “Any better, I’d have to clone myself so I can have someone else to share in all the fun”… when someone asks me how I am

    “Right as Rain”…. for something certain

    “Well, butter my butt and call me a biscuit!”… for when I’m shocked about something.

    “Cheeses me off”… when I’m angry about something

    “Bees Knees”, “Cool Beans”, “Snap!”, “Golly”

    Those are all I could think of. I loved reading the others. Some of them I use myself too. I really loved the one you used a while back, “Could talk a dog off a meat truck”. That one made me smile.

    Glad you had a great time with the girls and shopping. Sure wish I lived closer.

    I’ve heard your sayings before, and reading all the comments I’ve heard those and use most of them myself quite often! One I haven’t seen in the previous comments is “I’ve known him since he was knee high to a grasshopper”

    I’ve had fun reading all these wonderful sayings! A note to Sonya (#5): a doornail is actually a kind of mouse. I once asked what that was and never lost the vision of that poor thing 🙁
    My fave has always been ” dumb as box of hammers” and
    “you can’t dip your biscuit in that gravy twice!”
    Must be the southern influences 🙂

    Then there is
    “Serious as a Heart Attack”
    “Dumb as a Box of Rocks”
    “Wonky” as in ‘That machine has gone wonky’
    “Happier than a pig in mud”
    “Cuter ‘n Poop” (because what isn’t cuter than poo?)
    When asked how I am … “Just Peachy” or “Peachy Keen”
    When I make something and give as a gift, it’s “Made with the fingers, with love”

    I have heard those expressions. But I don’t know the carpet one very well. What I haven’t heard before that you use all the time is Woot Woot? What on earth does that mean. I’ve heard of Toot toot as in tooting one’s own horn. Also Woo hoo as in Yeah! Do you actually yell woot woot when you are excited? Is it like Yeah! too?

    Chomping at the bit (anxious about something)
    Our daddy used to tell my sister and I that he would tear up our hind ends like a new ground (or a plowed field) when we needed correcting.
    Finer than frog hair split three way (something really good)
    If the shoe fits, wear it.
