WOW! Im back! Thank you for the prayers and thoughts for Jason’s family. It was a very difficult time, as he never lost anyone before.
Sorry to be MIA. I had to take care of my family this week. Lots going on with the kids and school. Kindergarten registration, dance recitals, t-ball, and design work. Lets not forget taking the dog to the groomer, the vet, registering her and oh about 50 other things that have FILLED my days!
Lots of blah blah blah that ill share another day.
Yes! Summer is almost here!
Well as you may know JustRite Stampers is have a pretty awesome Spring Release! I was asked to par-take in the Blog Hop, so of course I said YES!
I used a set that is COMING SOON! to make my project-NEW! Favorite Occasions Borders & Centers Set 1-5/8″ I’m totally loving that ALL Occasion set!! I could totally adapt today’s project for EACH image in the set.
SOOOOOO….. if you want a chance to WIN your own set-just leave me a comment here!
I’d love to know your favorite holiday food 😀 Any holiday!
I LOVE Cadbury Eggs at Easter, Godiva Chocolates at Valentines Day, Halloween: I don’t get too caught up in that time of year-thankfully, Thansgiving: Pumpkin Pie, Christmas-UM ALL the desserts! LOL! I hope I didn’t forget something.
OK OK mind off food, back to the project.
I went GREEN for this project!
I purchased some mini Prima’s at Michaels Craft Store for $1 (clearance). I re-used the dome shaped packing cover they came in to make a SUPER fun dome topped gift box using the My Timeless Template: For KeepSake template!
How cool is this from the side??!!
I was going to fill it with confetti, but I decided to cut a hole in the lid as well, so you get a dome window into the box top 😀
Sorry for the difficult photos! I was getting MAJOR glare!
You can SORTA see inside in this photo. Just put patterned paper in my box bottom.
I stamped the image, on the dome, in White StazOn. Then colored from behind with my Souffle Gel Pens!
See Video on HOW TO—> HERE!
TIP: When stamping on a DOME I put a acrylic block inside so I don’t bend it, and I have a surface to STAMP on the done without SQUISHING it, or risking not getting full stamped coverage. Also if you screw up-use StazOn remover 😀
I used the American Crafts Everyday paper pack for my creation! It was PERFECT! American Crafts is like one of my most favorite companies ever!!!
2 sides in dots, and 3 in numbers! Perfect-O!
I think it is just so retro and cute! A perfect tween/teen gift wrap! Dont’ you?
Now don’t you think adding a done brings a whole new life to the template? I love it!
Well that is all for me!
Now you must go Check the JRS Blog!
Then hop along to some of the other designers:
Thanks for stopping by!
PS-If you emailed me in the last week, Im sorry I am SO CRAZY! I will reply shortly!!

This is one of my favorite templates and it is soooo cute with the dome lid stamped with the just rite. the Just Rite! Very nice job!!!
I LOVE this new little box, the dome just looks awesome! I’m not clear on how you stamped it but I’m sure you’re working on a video, so I’ll just wait patiently 😉
My favorite holiday food is ALWAYS dessert =) Also, my mother in law makes the best potato salad EVER (for the hot holidays) and a KILLER potato casserole for the wintery holidays. I know not very “figure-friendly” but I LOVE them anyway =)
I have to agree with you on the Pumpkin pie…I love it at Thanksgiving or anytime really. What an adorable box…as usual you rocked it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’d love to have a new JR set. Those are so much fun to work with. My favorite Christmas food is custard that is a tradition in my mom’s family. It’s only served this one time of the year.
Also love those cadbury eggs for Easter and Chocolate Mint truffles at Christmas or any time of the year. Love your out of the box creativity!
super cute Lauren. As for favorite food during the holidays. Its gotta be my sisters rumballs at christmas
Love this box, the dome is just fabulous!! Great idea! I love Just Rite stamps but don’t have any yet, so I’d love to win. All of the stuff you mentioned sound good. Chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate! YES!! But I really enjoy shortbread at Christmas. It just seems to make it Christmas. Anyway, glad to see you’re back!
Adorable!!!
My favorite holiday foods would have to be Pumpkin Pie and Potato Salad. On Thanksgiving I could care less about all the other food served except these two things. Oh and don’t get me started on the rolls, these would be another one of my faves.
You always have the nicest projects and there just so intersting.I wish my mind worked like yours. I do agree with chocolate as a fav…I love lindt chocolate for any day holiday or not but I love German dumplings for any of the holiday meals.
The traditional Thanksgiving and Christmas meals are my favorite. In my family they’re both very similar with turkey, all the trimmings, and special recipes reserved just for the holidays. One year my mother asked us to help come up with new ideas for the holiday menus. WHAT!?!? She asked “aren’t you tired of the same ‘ol thing every year?” My sister astutely replied “not when we get it only twice a year!” Tradition reigns!!!
Love those JustRite stamps – they would be the perfect addition to my small collection! Hope I win – pick me, pick me!
Pumpkin pie is my favorite at Thanksgiving and at Christmas. Naniamo Bars are my other fav for Christmas. They are so rich, but it wouldn’t be Christmas without them.
Love this little box. Oh, the thousands of things you could do with it. So cute, and love the dome.
Great project Lauren! My fave holiday food would be Pumpkin Pie at Thanksgiving. Its the only time I ever have it.
Mmmmmm, fudge at Christmas time is my favorite – and not just because I’m a chocoholic! lol My mom and I would spend hours together in the kitchen making up fudge to give away for gifts, so fudge has a wonderful memory attached to it!
Super fun and cute! Love the dome topper on your box. You are quite the clever girl!!
My favourite holiday food is Yorkshire Puddings. My mom used to make them with Roast Beef for Birthdays, Easter. They were quite the treat. I love your box.
You are just so stinkin creative! oooo… my favorite holiday food? That would have to be Chex Muddy Buddies. I only make them at Christmas, but they are sooooo yummy!
I have always loved the cakes around Christmas time – rich fruit cake with marzipan and royal icing, Stollen and Pannetone – yum! your box with that lid are wonderful.
Ooohh, the chance to win freebies? Thanks! My favourite holiday food? Definitely all the scrummy desserts that come out on Christmas Day – my Mum’s trifle, some yummy dish that my Nan has whipped up, my homemade hokey pokey icecream, and beautiful melt in your mouth homemade cheesecakes… all delicious, all very fattening, and thankfully all only rolled out at Christmas time! Becks
Hi Lauren, I hope things are settling down for you now. I think your dome is such a cool idea – your gift box really rocks! My favorite holiday food is a very easy traditional New Zealand dessert I love to make – Pavlova – it’s a very large meringue creation, crunchy on the outside and marshmallowy on the inside, and decorated with whipped cream and fresh fruit. My favorites are raspberries, strawberries, kiwifruit, peaches, apricots, etc, and finally passionfruit pulp poured over the top.
Hugs, Anne.
hmmm….tricky does watermelon count? Are summer days holidays? I think they are…..

LOVE the dome, who would have thought. I also am a sucker for the cadbury eggs. Actually just about any chocoate. But now my friend makes this killer peanut butter fudge at Christmas. I have tried to make it and it never comes out right but hers is the BOMB,
What an adorable project Lauren.. As for my favorite holiday food…hhmm I would have to say it’s the Roast Leg of Pork we have for Christmas. It has the skin on it so the meat is so moist and tender it shreds with two forks and the skin gets all crispy. MMMMM.. We’re going to be roasting a whole pig for our sons graduation next month.. YUMMY!
Super cute box, I would love to win one of these new releases. My favourite holiday food is christmas pudding and mince pies, hot cross buns at easter, pumkin cake at haloween, well anything I probably shouldn’t really, but do because it’s a holiday!

I’d love to win. Even when you are MIA, we know it’s cause you are thinking up new neat ideas! My favorite dessert is probably cheesecake! When my boys were tiny I learned cake decorating, but instead they always asked for a cheesecake for their birthdays! So it was a wasted effort. But even now they’ve grown and moved away, it’s always still a cheesecake they request – but they like the basic one, so no experimenting with their cheesecakes!
I have my favorites for each holiday like you, but I’ll save you the trouble and just say CHRISTMAS COOKIES! Almost all varieties, but my favorite are those peanut butter balls! Melt in your mouth….YUM! Thanks for the chance to win!

Hi, I love your project, don’t think I would have tried to stamp on a dome shape, but you showed it can certainly be done! Thanks for the chance to win the fab new stamp set- so useful for many occasions. Re- food, at christmas my mum buys me gorgeous chocolate logs with a praline middle, surrounded by marzipan, then covered in thick chocolate. I just love them- this is making me hungry!!

I think my favorite holiday food would have to be the stuffing (okay, technically dressing since we don’t put it in the bird, but I’ve called it stuffing my whole life!) that we’ve created our own recipe for. We use it at Thanksgiving every year and its delish! :>
My favorite holiday food is frosted ginger cookies that I make at Christmas time. I can remember 50 years ago when I would go to my grandma’s house and help her make these cookies. Not only does it bring back fond memories, but these cookies are so yummy!!

I love the little box and the dome top is fabulous.
My favourite holiday food would have to be Patchi Chocolate eggs for Easter, and at Christmas it would have to be Trifle……a homemade cherry and chocolate one….hmmm
How creative. Your little domed box is adorable, as are all of your projects. Love all the different foods mentioned in the comments. Of course, I like anything chocolate, and pumpkin pie is a favorite. I also like making homemade ice cream in the summer, especially for BBQ’s. It is a yummy treat.

You are such an inspiration to me. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to share with us and for making us a part of your family. I love hearing about your kids and that wonderful hubby of yours. My thoughts and prayers are with him and your family as he deals with the loss of a loved one.
My favorite holiday dessert are the amazing Christmas cookies that my MIL makes. The best part is that we know she bakes them with love for her family.

Very cool!! I love chocolate so I always look forward to some during holidays. I love marshmallow eggs they put out at Easter!
Such a cute project! I love how you used the packaging from the Primas! My favorite holiday food would have to be a fruit salad served on Christmas Eve that has been in my family for generations and so easy to make. Slice bananas, oranges, and maraschino cherries and add some sugar. Stir, chill, and serve. So good! (I usually add the bananas just before serving.) Another fave is Derby pie…nuts, chocolate, YUM!
This is fantastic!! Hmmmm…favorite holiday food…possibly the incredible prime rib we have at Christmas.
This is so cute Lauren! I love the recycling idea. I look at the packaging all the time when I buy things; sometimes even buy them for the package rather than what’s in it!

I really like the use of the dome in the project. And knowing that is is a reuse of another item makes it even more unique. Great use of color. Great job of thinking outside the box to make a box 🙂
Soo many holiday foods and soo little time! I love that my mom still bakes for the holidays. She makes a citrus chiffon pie that is to die for! After a filling meal, this delightful pie simply goes poof! in your mouth – and your tummy.

I love your work & try to visit often ~ I share with all I know. I actually purchased a template for someone else the other day because I liked the idea so much. As for Holiday Favorite food… I could go on because our family revolves around food. One of those Old Families… Thanksgiving Apple & Pumpkin Pie, Christmas Mom’s Macaroons, Easter Mom’s Home made Easter Eggs Peanut Butter, cherries & cream & butter cream dipped in Chocolate, Halloween Mom again has an open house & the kids that trick or treat get spooky spiked cider & she has a spread of tons of food! Like I said I could go on… Now you have my taste buds going so I’m sure I will make some macaroons for desert & take some to Baseball practice.

Now you will have us all out looking for packaging that has a dome shape we can use in our projects. You remind me of my daughter, she is 4 and has the best imagination. I so hope that she keeps her great imagination as she grows older as you have. Favorite holiday candy, very hard to say, i will go with malted milk eggs. I was on a weight loss challenge the past few months, and that was really the thing i had the hardest time passing by. yummy.

Awesome project. My FAVORITE holiday food has to be sugar cookies with buttercream frosting! And the best part, they adapt to any holiday, at least as far as I am concerned.

My favorite holiday treat is blueberry pancakes we have every Christmas morning with the last of the blueberries we picked during the summer. Ah fond memories for us all.
I don’t know if you would call this a food, but my favorite holiday treat are the little O’Henry chocolate bars at Halloween. I LOVE them! I buy a couple of bags just for me. I even hide them from my kids. I don’t like the regular size O’Henry bars and this is the only time of year I eat them. Sounds strange, I know. They are made the same way but they are just different.
Thanks for the chance to win.
One of our traditions is to have Fatimans for New Year’s Eve. Lots of work but oh, so yummy
Hi Lauren! Love the box — I have been doing a TON with recycled objects, too — I did some awesome Easter baskets with paper coffee cups that I had saved and washed out ;^)*
Anyway — I love a Jewish dish served at Passover called Charoset — it is made with apples and nuts and wine, and sometimes a bit of other dried fruit. I use toasted pecans, fuji apples, and tart dried cherries. You coarsely chop an apple (skin on) and put it in a food processor with the tart dried cherries and nuts on the bottom, adding a generous splash of Manashevitz grape wine (very sweet and cheap for Jewish holidays and Sabbath, widely available) and a dash of cinnamon, and you whirl it until it is chopped to your liking. I don’t over do it, the cherries are a bit “chunky”. Man, I could eat this all year — and I do. It keeps for a couple of days in the fridge, and it is so healthy for you. A great breakfast!
Thanks so much for the chance. It is such a long-shot as you have so many fans, but it sure would be nice!
Hugs!
Chocolate! and I celebrate every day as a holiday so I can have some!
Love This!!! Always get so much inspiration from your blog! My favorite holiday food is all the cookies and goodies at Christmas!

I like the new sets and the box you made. Favorite holiday foods would be mashed potatoes at Thanksgiving and (not a traditional one for most) shrimp on Christmas Eve.
I love your box! What a clever idea! Thanks for the chance to win. I have too many favorite foods! I love desserts–all the cookies and candy on the Christmas dessert table, not to mention the rum cake. Here in the midwest, we also enjoy lefsa at Thanksgiving along with the pumpkin pies. On Easter, we often have a 4 layer cake with each of the layers a different pastel color. From the appetizers to the desserts our family enjoys most foods.
I gotta go for the little yellow peeps at Easter time! Love the cute box, thanks for the inspiration and chance to win your terrific blog candy!
I feel like a dork…was just noticing that I need to state my favorite holiday food…which would be chocolate anything; santas, bunnies, pies, cookies, you name it…I was originally post # 254. Thanks a bunch!!
That Dome-topped box is really neat ~ reminds me of the board game ~ “The Game Of Life” ~ where you use to push down on a dome to pop the dice around 🙂 Brilliant as always.
My favorite food is really in the summertime, but not really related to any holiday. I LOVE LOVE LOVE watermellon and fresh picked strawberries. YUM. Even thinking about it now makes me crave a huge slice of ice-cold watermellon.
Let the summer begin and thanks for the blog candy chance Lauren 🙂
That is really, really cute. Again you show the versatility of that box and went Green too!
My fave holiday food is actually a treat I always take from my daughter’s Easter basket…Marshmallow bunnies! I don’t know what, but I am really addicted to them and even though they make marshmallow santas, it’s just not the same!
Love your art with the JustRite set! Have enjoyed the blog hopping this week. Please enter me in the drawing. Thanks. nelda mc765 @charter .net
The box came out so cute! You are so inspiring!
My favorite holiday treat would have to be See’s buttercream eggs at Easter. Yummy!
I love the boxes you create. You are super talented.
Wow! Love the box! My favorite holiday foods are definitely pumpkin pie and Christmas cookies.
Fav food’s definitely coffee – my DH makes the best cuppa joe! Thanx for the blog candy opp!
Wow, that dome and project is awesome!! I love all of your new and innovative ideas!
My favorite food is stuffing at Thanksgiving. Smelling the scent first thing in the morning while preparing it for the turkey just gets me!! And, then i wait all day!
Thanks for the opportunity to win!
Love your project! You always have such neat ideas. Christmas is my FAVORITE holiday and so is the food. We always have a beef tenderloin with ricotta/spinach stuffing in it. Mmmm….
Very cute box. My absolute favorite food holiday has got to be Thanksgiving. I love it all. The turkey, the stuffing, mashed potatoes, pumpkin pie. Hmmmm….sounds good.
Great Dome Box…You are always on the ball with something new up your sleeve!! My favorite holiday food is Pecan Pie…We have it for Thanksgiving and Christmas 🙂
Very cute little box and great job recycling!! My fav holiday food is either various Christmas cookies at Christmas or Peeps at Easter.
Cute!! My favorite holiday food is anything that’s spread on my Grandmother’s Thanksgiving Day table… it’s all so delicious!
Thanks for a great Blog Candy opportunity!
Very clever way to recycle! I love that used reused the packaging! And I LOVE Jordan Almonds – even though I cracked a crown eating them and had to have my crown replaced!!!
You blow me away every time!!!! Love it!
As always another fabulous box. Love the dome top. My favorite holiday is Christmas, as I am a big baker and love to bake for all holidays, but love the homemade candies and cookies that I make to give away as gifts, along with many other homemade items for Christmas.
I love watermelon in summer, strawberry shortcake in spring, steamboat for spring and lasagna in spring. I have seasonal cravings!!
wow! this is adorable!
my favorite holiday food is probably stuffing!!! yummmm….
Hope I’m not too late! Though with over 365 entries it’s doubtful I’ll win! 🙂 Thanks for your inspiration!!
What a cute idea! Love it!!!
My favorite holiday food is actually a family tradition and probably kind of unusual unless you live in the south on the coast. My dh’s family has a fish fry for Christmas each year and there is nothing better than catfish and hushpuppies straight out of the fryer! Yummo!!!
I love your blog and your project! My favorite holiday food is Christmas cookies. I love to make them and I love to eat them.
chocolate covered cherries for any holiday. My dad always bought them for my mom and that made them special in my eyes. Love Just-Rite and your project.
WOW…a fab project as always…stamping on a dome! No WAY!
LOVE YOUR PROJECT….LOVE AMERICAN CRAFTS PAPER ALSO…
MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY FOOD IS ALL THE CHOCOLATE AT VALENTINE’S DAY….SUZANNE
Your creativity just blows my mind! Love the dome!
So, so, so cute! You always have the BEST ideas! 🙂 Thanks for sharing all of your crafty goodness. And, blessings to your husband at this difficult time.
my fave holiday food is choc covered pretzels.. love love them! ur project is amazing!
I love sweet potato casserole so much, we have it at Christmas and Thanksgiving!
I already love this ‘new’ template of yours… 🙂 absolutely beautiful! you’re the best!
I love cheesecake! You can make that any holiday!
After reading your request for our favorite holiday food, I realized that I had not had my ‘Favorite’ for a long time!
In writing this comment, I am in the process of making an old family recipe of ‘Black & White cookies’. These are such a funny cookie, My whole family loves them, but most don’t like them. You either love them or you don’t…..Mmmm…Yummmy. Thank you for getting me to think about this!
You are amazing in so many ways! Thank you for getting me to think, and reach out with all the creativity I was born with and all the creativity that you help me have!!
Too cute, Lauren. Your brain just never stops!
Favorite holiday food, huh? Well, I’d have to say my husband’s Christmas cookies. He was born in Austria, and he likes to make the cookies he remembers from when he was a little boy. They are wonderful! Not overly sweet, light, melt-your-mouth wonders that everyone marvels over. They take days to make, but we always make enough to freeze and savor for months afterward. Now if I could just get him to make dinner….
Very cute project and great way to recycle that packaging. The first thing that came to mind for favorite holiday foods was peanut butter eggs at Easter.
I LOVE my mom’s sweet potato pie. she makes it for Thanksgiving and christmas!
I love that you keep revisiting old templates and giving us more ideas – I so appreciate that, thank you ! And I ADORE Christmas dinner – the works! Ho ho ho !!
xx
What a cool box, very cool and very retro. I don’t know if I can pick a favorite holiday food, I love them all! My grandmother makes the most delicious baked custard and snow pudding with custard sauce though, and I only get that at Thanksgiving. So I guess that’s my fav!
Love the box!!! I would have to say first of all, I have alot of favorite foods, but one of my favorites is during the summer holidays and cooking out – pasta salads, fruit salads and can’t forget the wonderful burgers on the grill – nothing can beat that!!!
I love all your templates. You are such a talented person! As far as holiday food…I love Easter chocolate and marshmellow eggs. I also love superbowl game food – not really a holiday but a reason to get together and eat!
You have the cutest projects! Amazing.
I just love yellow Easter peeps. Only the Easter ones will do for me. Thanks for the chance to win!
I never, ever liked egg nog… the thought of it made my stomach turn! BUT this smas my brother in law made some from scratch- I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it!
Loved the dome and the paper. What a great gift idea for a tween.
What do reccomend to get first from Just Rite?
I’m an all American gal and nothing makes me happier than BBQ hot dogs, potato salad and a big 4th of July celebration!
Lauen, your ideas are endless. What a great box. Love the idea with the dome. Don’t have any JR sets but it would be nice to win this one.
There are so many favorites that I have but I guess it would have to be New York Style cheesecake. Mmmmmmhhh
Your sooooo sweet and sooo full of talent!! 🙂 Thank you for all of your inspiration!!!
Your so sweet and soooooo full of talent!!! 🙂 Thanks for all of your inspiration!! (I reposted cause my blog address was wrong) Sorry! 🙂
Hugs and prayers!
I love how you used the dome for a topper! Fantastic idea! This would make a great gift!
Cute idea!
Favorite food? At Christmas we make one meal during the week between Christmas and New Years, Korean Fried Barbeque. Old friend and family treat!
I don’t have any of the stamps yet, would love any one of the sets!
Way cute! Absolutely love the dome top, so in the future I’ll be checking out all packaging before I throw anything away. As for favorite food…that would have to be my mother’s famous “duck bread”…sweet bread with a cinnamon/cocoa filling shaped like a duck. She makes it every Easter and Thanksgiving.
Great ideas, but then again, you always come up with the neatest things! My favorite is probably the pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving. Thanks for the chance to win!
I love a baked turkey at Thanksgiving or Christmas- So tender, esp. if it’s cooked in a roasting bag. And the sneak bites while it’s being sliced…so good! Thanks for the chance, and as usual, you are truly amazing! Great project, and love all the ideas you give us using your wonderful templates! Thanks again Lauren!
Love your project ideas and templates, and thanks for the chance to win this great new set!
While I love the special foods our family does for Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas, my all-time favorite food, day in and day out, is dessert, specifically chocolate dessert!
Can someone pass the cheese & garlic mashed potatoes please???? For dessert any thing with cherries!!I love all of your samples, keep them coming.. Thanks for the chance to win….. :o)
I love all your creative samples! Thanks for being so willing to share your creations. Thanks also for a chance to win.
Tamales at christmas!!!
Although I like jelly beans and peeps at Easter, Christmas cookies would be top of the list.
love the new set had fun hoppin
I would say almost anything chocolate–especially Reese’s peanut butter cup stuff. 🙂
All of the samlpes are beautiful. Keep up the good work.
Regina
Love your project! I don’t own any of the JR stuff and would love to have the occasions one. Favorite food/holiday. Let’s just say chocolate since that seems to be in every holiday for us. My husband adores my chocolate pecan pie for Christmas and Thanksgiving. Chocolate chip cookies for Fourth of July or Labor Day picnics or my chocolate brownies or cake.
Glad you will have a chance to catch up and breathe. You have been one busy person it seems at all times! Hugs!
Just thinking about Thanksgiving turkey dressing makes me drool! I love the new set and the way you used in on the dome.
Beautiful box! And cleaver thinking using the dome for the lid!! My favorite holiday goodies are Peeps! And luckily, you can find them during other holidays, not just Easter! Thanks for the chance to win!
Very cute project! I love JustRite stamps and once again they’ve pulled through with some great releases.
Favorite holiday food? Hard to pick…but I have a serious sweet tooth so probably Christmas fudge (or Valentine’s fudge or Easter fudge or Mother’s Day fudge or…) 😉
My favorite foods are the cranberries and stuffing at Thanksgiving. I don’t have any JustRite stamps and would love to give them a try. Thanks for the chance to win and for sharing your project.
Favorite food from a holiday would be pumpkin pie with whipped cream. I look forward to that!
DeniseB
what creative thinking using the plastic.
Oh… what a sweet box… holiday food… Easter is my weakness Cadbury Creme Eggs and licorice jelly beans.
However, I also really loved the fresh baked on New Year’s Day (a tradition in my home).
Valentine’s Day is my favorite and I love, love, love Godiva Chocolate!
Another great creation you have come up with! MY fave Easter treat is PEEPS and for the winter holidays I LOVE EGG NOG… spiked with mommy daddy juice {wink}
Thanks for the op to win some YUMMY blog candy!
