Since last years Papertrey Ink project using the socks for the “Bun” in the “Oven” project, and now, with the latest release of the actual “Bun in the Oven” template, I am swamped with people asking “How do you make the cupcake out of socks?”
Well I think it is much easier to SHOW you, than it is to explain it, so I posted a video clip to share
Between how easy the box now is with the the printable template, and this cupcake sock video, you are sure to start whipping up sock favor gifts in no time!
All you need is your Bun in the Oven box template, and 2 pair of socks!
Now you are one your way!

Fabulous video, Lauren! These sock cupcakes are just so yummy! Thank you for showing us how to do these. I can’t wait to try it out for myself!

This is the cutest thing I have ever seen!!! My granddaughter loves Pinkalicious Cupcakes. I think this will make a great easter gift for her!!! Thanks so much!!!
I have been a lurker for a couple months now. I so enjoy you videos and cards. Love to read your, sometimes, long winded stories too!!! Sounds like you have a wonderful family!!!

Thanks for the cute video. Unfortunately I have 5 grandsons so I will have to alter the cupcake a bit. lol I do appreciate the videos after buying the templates because I have no imagination. Thanks again.
Lauren,
thanks that was great. I’ve already made a few for a baby shower. Love it.
Lauren, Oh my that is so cute!! Your video was perfect in showing how to make that darling sock cupcake, I know I wouldn’t have been able to recreate it without your example! Thanks for putting in the extra time to make a tutorial for this! I can’t wait to make some of these as gifts.
Just love it! And I’m going to give it a go! Thanks!
Of course Now I will be a mad woman going to Target looking for socks to make cupcakes you know this right! LOL…
oh my goodness, that is so cool! I need to go shopping for some socks too!
sooo very cute…
Thanks for the great tutorial, Lauren. I am wondering if you think I can do this with adult women’s socks? Also, do they have to be 2 different sizes, or can you use 2 pairs of the same size?
That is adorable Lauren! You are so creative! Thanks for the fantastic tutorial video!!!
How adorable, can’t wait to make some “cupcakes” for my granddaughter. I just love your blog, this is the first time I’ve left you a comment, but I just had to tell you how cute these are and how much I enjoy all of your cards, boxes (templates) and tutorials. You really have THE GIFT. Also love seeing the pictures of your beautiful children. From a Northern New Hampshire person to a Southern. We moved from Southern Connecticut to the beautiful White Mountains 2 years ago, and it was quite an adjustment, but I’ve keep “in touch” with visiting wonderful sites like yours.

Hi Lauren, I´m really fan of your templates and creations.
These sock cupcakes are adorable!
I´m really apreciate your “how to videos”
Thank you for sharing!
SOOOOOO…….Cute! You have given me a idea. My friend is expecting a baby in July and I am going to host a shower for her. I am going to make it “sock” themed. Use this example and I have also seen a similar idea using cupcake paper holders on a cupcake stand. To cute!! Thanks again for you inspiration. I hope you’re feeling better! How scary. My husband is the same “no doctors for me, they are just going to tell me what I already know”. MR.MD is what I call him. Anyway hope your better!
Hello Lauren,
Thank you for showing us the cupcake it is so adorable. I can’t wait to make these.
Thank you for sharing all of your ideas and talent with us.
Thanks for this GREAT TUTORIAL!!! You are so creative.
Blessings!

Lauren, so creative!! I love it!! I had a huge baby shower (31 people) for my daughter last month. Wish I’d seen these by then! I will be making them myself for other celebrations, though. Thanks for the wonderful idea!
Your creativity is totally amazing, Lauren! This is adorable. Glad to hear you found out it was your gall bladder that was causing the issue and proud of you for going in to get it checked out. Better sooner than later as you can often deal with sooner symptoms much better than later symptoms. If I feel like putting a doctor visit off or talking myself into “it’s not that bad” I always remind myself of how my family would suffer without me, or have to accommodate my illness/surgery/etc. Glad to hear the symptoms will be gone once your gall bladder is out
Oh my gosh, just love these little cupcakes. I’m not very crafty but I think I would like to try this.
what a wonderful idea to have on hand at children’s birthday
partys for the children who have food allergies and such.
Also would be great to make for children in hospitals for lengthy illnesses.
Thank you soooo much for taking the time to post it all!

Thank you so much for sharing this cute idea. I am sure you hear it all the time how AMAZING your work is, but let me add to your list of admirers please. I am a fan from way back and love all of your inspiring projects and stories.
For some reason, I can’t see the video. It is just a big white space where it is supposed to be. The still photo is cute though!
Hi lauren,
Thank you for all the tutorials you do it is so much appreciated.
P. S. Your hair looks great!
Awesome! You are so dang creative!!!!
These are so adorable! This cupcake has enabled me! I was really trying not to buy anything else for a while, but what is $5 right? Off to buy this template!
this is so cute!!!! I love it and cant wait to try! I’ve seen little baby socks turned into roses to create a rosh bush as a baby gift too and i’m dying to learn that one too. maybe i can just adapt this one!!!
This is such a great idea for little kids when you give them socks instead of cool toys!
Thanks for the video—I am a visual learner so really appreciate it!
btw, how are you feeling TODAY? Just read your comments from yesterday! Oh MY! Hope you are on the mend!
How do you give the other sock? I was thinking to put a false bottom inside and put the extra sock in between. What do you do? Very very cute idea!!!
That is soooo cute Lauren, thanks for sharing.
Can’t wait to make these little cupcakes the next time I need a baby gift! Cute for baby showers! Thanks for showing us how to do it!
I was also wondering how you give the other base sock?
(Looks like you only used one for the base.)
Lauren, I so enjoyed this project! I made one of my own after playing around with the box forever! I enjoy visiting your blog. You are very creative! Glad that you are feeling better after your surgery!
