I know! I KNOW!
I wanted to stamp and do a million things, but when you have family living with you and 50 million MORE errands than normal, it just doesn’t happen. I need to new schedule!
Well here is the sketch. I swear I am going to stamp this weekend! I usually don’t but I deserve it!

I have to say even though I haven’t tried it I love it!
Check the desing team member blogs for some ideas though. Unless they were as busy as I have been!
Send us a link here if you get to try it out 😀
Thanks for sharing my upset over the teacher incident. Yes its the SAME teacher who complained about his coloring. Many of you mentioned newer teachers not knowing better. Well she has been teaching since my husband was in the school! OVER 25 years ago. She is well seasoned. Maybe its even time to quit teaching. I will take the advice of you all and let the principal know about what happened. I agree she could have at least apologized.
Have a super weekend 😀 And thank you all again for the support here. It really helps me et though these crazy mommy moments, knowing Im not insane or alone!

Aren’t blogs great? It is so nice to be around such supportive folks. Keep up the great work Lauren.

I was really glad to hear that you stayed behind and spoke to the teacher about the ‘poll.’ I think that was really unfortunate that she chose to do something so irrelevant. What bearing would her ‘poll’ have on anything? When you asked her she said, oh, no one cares, it doesn’t matter. So then she shouldn’t have proceeded. It’s none of her business who in her class is going trick or treating. She would have known when she counted 15 kids with their hands up, that there was one more, because she definitely would know what her class size is – yet she didn’t stop there, she continued to point out Noah. You’re not going to have a great year with this teacher but hopefully the principal will deal with it. That is just so unfair to any kid to be singled out like that, and by a teacher for heaven’s sake! She does need to make an apology, that will not solve anything but at least for Noah, it might help him feel better. I know I’m posting late, but I just had to say something…
Just got one done! Loved the sketch! 🙂
Hi Lauren… Could you share the dimensions for your recipe card holder… I think this is a fabulous idea!!!
Thanks
Janine
Thanks for the lovely sketch. Have a nice weekend. Hugs Marja
Thanks, Lauren, for the sketch. I’ll have to give it a try. Just went back and read about the teacher incident. As a second grade teacher, I am always upset to hear of teachers who do not engage their brains and cause students to loose self confidence and/or self-esteem. Although sometimes “polls” are used to teach data gathering and graphing, I would never choose a subject that singles out a child. She owes you and your son an apology. Good for you for talking to her afterward. Hopefully she will rethink how her lesson affects the self-esteem of her students.
Hey there Lauren! I had to laugh because I was so busy myself and felt so bad I didn’t get to it this week! Sorry to hear that Noah was singled out, some people just don’t think.
[…] yesterday I really enjoyed my stamping time, and having my sketch to work with really got my gears turning. When I have a few days on NON stamping, my mojo can be on […]
I’m glad you confronted Noah’s teacher. She should be more considerate especialy considering the diversity she MUST face daily with her students. I really feel bad for Noah (and you of course!). He shouldn’t have to feel like he has to play along just so he doesn’t get singled out. That’s so sad to me. I also know the guilty mom feeling, and the feeling of being totally stunned when something like that happens.
You did the right thing, and I trust that Noah will grow to understand completely (if he doesn’t already), and learn to stand by his morals and beliefs by watching you.
Loved your sketch this weekend…hope you find more time to stamp this week! :]

Lauren,
Here is my version of your sketch http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1120522?cat=500&ppuser=132530.
There is no way that teacher’s behaviour was acceptable. As an ex teacher I find that quite worrying.
Hi Lauren,
I finally did my first card following a sketch! Of course it had to be yours since you are such a great inspiration. You can see my card here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1136595?cat=500&ppuser=30139
