I have been meaning to post this FOREVER! I have a million thank yous that are MONTHS late, and this post is just one of those on the list. Time just flies past me. Since I haven’t been able to stamp (in over a week!!!!!!!!) I can dust off some forgotten creations I created.
Alexa got the sweetest package (as did I :D) from a woman in the Netherlands named Erica E. I don’t have a blog address for her, but I pray where ever she may be, she sees this, as my Thank You card is quite late, as usual. I want her to know we have not only received it, but it was just a great surprise.
I can’t even tell you the list of TY’s I have going, and am months behind! I still have to post Amber’s party. YIKES. That is just the beginning.
So here is the amazing tin she made!
for Alexa!
Is that not adorable? I’m not sure what company this image is from, but I think she is so cute. How am I suppose to let Alexa use this?! LOL! Its just too pretty. I always have a hard time letting go, and doing that. I would freak if even a corner lifted due to the use from my precious 9 yo!! I put it on her special shelf in her room, where some other awesome things my stamper friends have made reside-on display.
She also sent handmade bracelets for the girls (my photos are blurry :C so I need a re-take them) which they LOVED and both used for show & tell!! She included some grow in water insects for Noah. Really sweet. He is currently growing the spider. THANK YOU!
Then she sent along this HUGE stack of images from that same company as the image of the girl on the tin for me 😀 A real WOW! They are all so cute and stamped and cut perfectly!
She then wrapped in this purple organdy bag-personalized for me.
Look at all this
You can’t tell but its a LARGE stack, that must have taken FOREVER to stamp! Each image is different. Erica if you read this you are one crazy, and amazing lady!! Thank you so much for making our day. It was a true treat.
So inspired by these new images, and her tin, I made Erica a (LATE) Thank You card, using my favorite image-the butterfly!!
Butterfly bugz
I was inspired by her circle on the tin, and ended up with this creation , as a result. I was really happy with it. I love the colors-bright and cheery. It was a joy to use this image, and cut it all out. I colored the bug in vibrant colors. The wings haveShimmerz in pumpkin, on them. I loved using the plastic flowers too. I had them for a while and finally dusted them off!!
The round element is pierced, and the sentiment is from PTI’s Remember set.
A simple looking 5 square card, but the little details make it pop I think. I really LOVE that butterfly! LOVE! I hope Erica shares where the images are from. I think ONE of each isn’t going to cut it for me. I need to pick some up for myself 😀
Anyway, thanks for letting me share that with you all. I need to get the photos of the bracelets and a few other amazing things as well.
PLEASE pray I get to stamp sometime soon. Im going INSANE! I need MY TIME!!!
Till tomorrow
Sorry this post is a bit late. Since my brother & his girlfriend moved in and cat drama, settling in has been a challenge, as has finding stamp time! I am running them around to a million appointments, getting them settled and finding doctors and whatnot, and trying to clean around lots of luggage until the spare room is complete. Crazy is not the word!
In the meantime, the kitty drama continues. Thank you all for the well wishes. Its nice to know Im not alone. We are still monitoring him, and he seems to be better since on the medicine. Im hopeful. Still nervous and upset, but time will tell.
My time was SUPER limited and I forgot I needed a quick gift for a family friend. I LOVE the Hot Cocoa from Archer Farms (Target product) and always keep some on hand for those “just in case” I need a quick gift. Good thing, because I had SERIOUSLY less than 10 minutes to make my gift, since I forgot till I was ready to walk out the door (don’t you love that!). That 10 minutes was me being late, but I got it done! Time to make another “to do” list! YIKES!
Anyway-I used my Pretty Papers from Lizzie Anne, in Winter Wonderland to literally just WRAP the jar! They were PERFECT for this project.
I had just got some more stamps fromJustRite Stampers, and one fo them was for the PERFECT holiday gift giving set, that totally saved me for this!
Its the Baking Stamp ensemble. I really liked the larger images this set offered, as it makes a nice & quick topper for a gift. I put my border stamp on the round block first, and inked it up in ruby red ink. I then put in my center image circle image, and colored it in with markers- bordering blue, and choc. chip. Then stamped it onto my vanilla cardstock. Die cut the circle, and popped it on with a dimensional. DONE!
While it was a super quick gift, I still think it was a cute way to present it. Had I more time I would have stamped some snowmen or something, but that so is not in the cards for me, at least not this week! Im happy I got 2 decent photos before I ran out the door. Usually when I try that its all blurry and out of focus.
Once I settle in things should get back to normal-right?!
In the meantime don’t miss this post! Its a great way to help raise money for Cancer research!!!
OK more to do-so Im running.
OK I am making another post for a few reasons! LOL!
1) I think I fixed ALL the people who were on pause! Lydia had directed meas to what to do, and it worked! THANK YOU!!
Now if I did it right, I hope all those people get an alert to the unpaused subscription, or the email update that I have posted.
2) I found many whom have contacted me about NOT getting an email notice when I post, have subscribed to my blog, but have not VERIFIED they want the email subscription.
There is NOTHING I can do about that.
Now when you go to the subscribe page, and enter an email, it will send you a vericifcation email. Once you get that email, you need to VERIFY that YES you want to subscribe to my blog. Otherwise people could just take someones email and make them start getting notices. That is why there is a verification email. If you dont respeond to that, you won’t get email updates until you do.
Sorry for the inconvience. I do like this feature because then people can’t just use your info to subscribe, you have to agree that is was you.
So thanks everyone for dealing with that 😀 CRAZY!!
PS I am NOT replying to all the emails I received re: that issue. That is the other reason I posted! LOL! Its all right here, and problem SHOULD be solved.
Thank you to all who notify me when there is an issue, I otherwise would not know 😀 I appreciate all of you who enjoy your visits here, so thanks for stopping by and keeping me posted.
WHOA NELLY! LOL!
I have gotten several hundred emails that many of you whom subscribe to my blog (awe thanks :D) are experiencing a problem.
I have been told you have a “subscription paused” notice, then it tells you to contact me.
OK well I have NO IDEA why its paused (I didn’t do it!) and I am trying to figure out WHY and HOW I can fix that problem. Not sure why they tell you to contact me since I have no clue why this happened and what to do to fix it.
If YOU know what to do, or can help me, because you have a Feedburner feed PLEASE help me!
Im not a computer person (I know you all THINK I may be good, but trust me, I’m lucky I can attach a photo in a email without intervention) but will see if my husband can figure out what on earth is wrong, later when he gets home.
In the meantime I can tell you all, in case you didn’t already notice 😀 that I update basically everyday! So until I get it worked out, when you have time, check in!
Thanks to everyone who does read, subscribe, and notified me of this problem since I never would have known otherwise.
Ill keep ya’ll posted.
Today is the 20th. A day I often forget, or miss to acknowledge as the offical CelebrateMFT Stamp Co day! Not this month! I remembered 😀
Where do I begin with this line from MFT by Stephanie Fizer?
How about CUTE, adorable, whimsical, and fun! Better yet easy to love, and color. I had a blast working with this new line of images! I really like that MFT is taking the leap and bringing in more styles for variety! Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with the originals, but its great to add new styles to the mix, you know?
Well let me start by sharing a card that makes me all teary looking at it. It is called Purrfect Gift.
I LOVED my coloring for this one 😀 Yes I am patting myself on the back. I think its just so cute.
The reason this gets me sad is my poor cat-Moo-Moo (yes like a cow says moo. He eats everything. Not cat like at all! He is just alike a little cow and that is how he got his original name. Since having children he is referred to as Boy Cat! LOL!) is now peeing pure blood.
I have had him since I got my very first apartment! 11 years ago. I took him and his sister (they were cuddled up togehter sleeping I could not bear to separate them) home with me, and have had then ever since.
We took him to the vet Saturday, after finding him in the blood puddle of urine. He has a history of UTI’s and is on special cat food, but eats dog food every chance he gets. After much testing, they think he has a tumor :C,and that is the reason for the frequent return of infections over the last few months. So not really “infections” just symptoms of the tumor. We couldn’t afford any additional tests as he already cost us several hundred dollars (that we already didn’t have) to find out more.
He is on antibiotics, which usually seem to help, but we have to watch him for crying, only peeing droplets, and lethargy. How do you tell if a cat is lethargic when all they do is sleep? Anyway, this whole thing is KILLING me. I have been a mess over the last few days, hoping that this gets better, and when I gather up some more money for the ultrasound and kidney scan I can figure out what is really wrong. Although we cannot afford an expensive surgery, it will be nice to know what his issue is, can it be helped with meds, and what his QUALITY of life will be.
He honestly seems perfectly fine other than the bleeding. I know that sounds terrible. But we are a few days in and no more pure blood. He is eatting and drinking, and no abnormal meowing or strange activity/behaviour
SORRY!! I didn’t mean to put a huge damper on this post. I wasn’t even going to share all this grief about my poor furbaby but it just happened seeing this card. Im just a mess and its affecting everything else. I’m sure any animal lover can relate. I never lost an animal. Well, we lost out Golden Retriever Kelly, when I was 17. I grew up with her. She got a tumor in her knee and went downhill very quickly. I couldn’t go with my mom to put her down, and that is the MAIN reason I never wanted a dog. They are like a family member. The loss was awful.
Anyway, I’m not sure how upset I will be if my cat goes. I also worry about his sister. How will she feel? She has been with him everyday of her life!!
OK stopping here.
Anyway, here is a cheerier part to the post-
I love the colors this has. Really non-traditional and pretty combo for winter. I kept it simple, as the image was pretty and detailed enough.
Sweet blush, berry sorbet, and pure poppy = the Perfect color combo.
Next up is Christmas Owls
If you are loving the owl trend, you will love this little single! I was inspired by hanging ornaments to make my own trio. More fun coloring 😀 LOVE my COPIC markers.
I just loved how this turned out.
OK I have a migraine and a million things to get done, so I have to run. My brother is now living with us, and that has been crazy adjusting too.
One thing my life never is, is boring 😀
So I hope you dust off those MFT sets, or play with new one’s to join in celebrating MFT day.
I have to say blog world has been quiet here. I was thinking my stuff may not up to par, then I remembered so many LUCKY people are on the Stamp Cruise with Nichole, Gina K , And Emily!! At least that is why I HOPE its been quiet! LOL! I think too after all my template craze, its hard getting back to “normal” stamping, without all the big buzz! LOL!
Anyway-enjoy the start of a new week. Its FREEZING here, lots of frost. Winter is upon us.
You are most likely wondering what on earth I am talking about by my post title here.
Well, I am quite excited to share this fun project for ANY occasion!!
This idea all started with a gift dilemma (as do most of my ideas :D) Alexa has a b-day party to attend this weekend.
QUESTION: What do you give a 10 year old girl?
ANSWER: A For Keep{sake} money slider!
Shopping can be so hard for a girl that age. I decided to not even begin to hunt for the perfect gift, but make my own personal idea, for the best birthday gift.
I have been playing with My Timeless Templates © a lot, and found a GREAT new use for the For KEEP{sake} box! You can purchase your own unlimited use of this printable template (and exclusive idea pamphlet) HERE for only $5! If you already purchased yours, then I encourage you to give this a try! If you haven’t, maybe you needed to see more uses for it, well here you go!
Its all about versatility,as well as making life, and gift giving easier 😀 This project took under 15 minutes to create 😀 I LOVE that!!
I used Alexa’s set for the Groovy Girl ( This set was designed for my daughter Alexa, and ALL proceeds are donated to the Pediatric Leukemia & Lymphoma society).
I used the Just Rite Large Numbers set for my #10 to really highlight this DOUBLE DIGIT birthday milestone. The designers borders & centers for my dotted border, which I colored with markers, then stamped, and punched out, giving it a cool look, as the larger dots are partially punched off.
The happy birthday sentiment is from the shapes by design set
1) What I did was print ONE sheet of this template, onto the SOLID side of my patterned paper. This becomes the inside of my money slider.
2) Then I cut the template out, and cut down the box bottom (under the cut out window) portion to a 1/2 inch. The rest of the bottom was cut off.
3) Make sure to cut out, and apply acetate over the window panel, before assembling.
4) Punch a 1/2 circle above window cut out. Then assemble the template to lay flat. Tuck in the bottom piece to create like a pocket.
This is how the template became the PERFECT money holder/slider!
I created a book mark insert to create the slider that holds my money! The scallop layer on the slider becomes a perfect mat for the front Groovy Girl image, when slider is down.
NOTE: I only had $20, I plan on putting in 2 ten dollar bills for the actual gift.
The money is folded up, and slides into a band I made, to hide behind the stamped panel, that is adhered to the front window of my money slider .
Once the slider is pulled out, it reveals the gift of green! An always welcomed gift for any age.
Change the band holder, and this is the PERFECT gift card holder as well!!
Pretty cute huh?
I think she will like it. Then she can pick/buy her own gift. No returns needed! LOL! I had alexa just sign the back of the slider, so she knows who it is from.
Thats it. Now you can easily mass produce gift card/money sliders too.
Thanks for looking, and I hope you get to try today’s project, or tell me what you think.
WOW! I feel rusty! LOL!
First let me say due to some family/scheduling issue’s, I have had to cancel my classes at The Paper Tree on the 25th! Sorry to anyone who has signed up. There is a lot going on here, and I cannot work that day, due to some other unforeseen things.
That being said, I did notify Michelle over a week ago, and they ARE still listed on the site schedule, so I am hoping she forgot to take it down this past week. If you have signed up for those classes, please contact Michelle. I won’t be there, so I don’t want anyone signing up, or going out of their way to get there.
OK now for today’s post….
I missed last week’s sketch because of the announcement of My Timeless Templates ©, so it feels like forever since I have done this, even though it hasn’t been long. This has been so amazing, and I appreciate all of you being so supportive (I know I keep saying it, but that is because I mean it :D)
I have to say, as a result of everything, my MOJO is g-o-n-e! This happens to me every month after the big release. Its my Papertrey Ink hangover, I like to call it! LOL! Especially after all my buzz with my own line of stuff, that really knocked me for a loop! LOL! No worries, it should be forced back over the next few days.
Anyway, I am back with the sketch this week!
If loading to a gellery use KEYWORD: mytimesssnowflakes
Given my low mojo, I decided the the team and I would use my sketch from my Gently Falling Snow card 😀 I loved that sketch!
I wanted to do something entirely different than what I ended up with, but hey whatever works right!
I recently picked up some more of the newest Magnolia images 😀 I get mine from here: Maganolia-licious. I have had them for at least a week, and they needed a little love.
This little girl reminds me of Amber!
Country Girl
Now for the girl- she is the larger block on my sketch, and the bail of hay is the smaller block! I thought it was a cute, and different take on the sketch, so I went with it.
I stamped her and cut out her legs, so she “sits” on the hay!
The hay was stamped on barely banana then sponged and whatnot to look like real hay. I think she’s just so cute.
I just got this sentiment from the Harmony Classic Circle III. I used the sentiment without any of the borders. I feel like I get so many options with all those stampers. I can use a cool border, not use a border, combine a sentiment/border etc. I like that they are now having sentiments, as well.
Then I spritzed some olive color 😀
I wish this turned out a bit better, but I am totally drained, and am taking tomorrow off! I need a break.
In the meantime, if you get to try the sketch, send us a link here so we can see your take on it.
Be sure you look at what ther Sketch Team had created!
Thanks to all of you who stop by 😀 I hope you have a great weekend.
YEAH! I got the announcement card to match the frame all done 😀
I just kept my announcment info, that I created from the frame, on the stamp block, to create my card to match.
I blurred out the last name to keep their privacy. This card took like 1o minutes because of the peircing. I knew what layout I wanted, so the rest wasy easy peasy!
I used all the following from Just Rite Stampers:
Harmony rectangle handle was used to create my block of announcing information using the Special Occassion Font I used each size from the set to complete my gift/card. I also used the small letter set for the stat’s of the baby.
My bird is from Unity Stamp Co. September Kit of the Month (no longer available sorry!! By the time I use it, its gone :C).
Using the scallop nestabilities, with shimmery white cardstock made it more elegant looking.
OK check back tomorrow for our Saturday Sketch.
I am so excited to share my project I have today!
One of my best friends just had a baby last week! They named her Molly. I LOVE making girly stuff. LOVE IT! So of course I had to go with PURPLE 😀 My favorite color.
After I got “the call” I made sure to get all her info, I went to work to create a framed keepsake for her! I purchased this a while ago at Michaels for about $4?? I try to make some sort of cool baby name thing for everyone I know who has a baby. I attempt to make each thing different, so people have no idea what to expect. I know I get behind sometimes but really tried to make this special.
When I think special, I think PERSONALIZED. That is the awesome thing about stamping! You can MAKE anything you want 😀
I also like that it is most likely to be herished and appreciated. How many stuffed animals can ONE baby get?!
Welcoming Molly-
PS I blurred out her last name to respect their privacy. So my frame isn’t messed up I warped it that way.
When you have a baby you never forget the vital information and I think a fun way to display it would be cute.
Instead of putting my INFO inside, I decided to stamp it ON the glass using white Stazon. A really nice layered effect. For the inside of the keesake frame, I decided to make it a “scene” by using patterned paper by Memory Box for the inside, since it looked like fairy garden, and punching some 3D flowers. I stamped my butterfly from butterfly kisses, and put it inside. The outside has the plum pudding pattern from Guidelines, then put a pretty purple satin bow around it.
Since I wanted to personalize it , I turned to my new stamps from Just Rite Stampers-I think that everyone should treat themself to at LEAST one Font set!! More of these will be on my yearly “Christmas Must Have” list! 😀 They are so cool because you get 3 complete alpha sets (and numbers), that all match in one easy to store kit. I am ALL about storage. I got rid of most my wood mounted alphas since #1-they take up so much space, and #2- I cannot SEE what I am stamping and where. With these stamps you get to have everything align perfectly, no fuss. You NEED the Harmony rectangle handle ! Its awesome for creating the blocks with all the info you want. I basically got to put all my info on the block and stamped ONCE!! Yeah! No lining up everything seperately. I LOVE THAT!
I pulled out my GORGEOUS Special Occassion Font set for this task (just bought that last week).
So I used the 95pt for the baby initials M I D since I LOVE the script look of it.
From the top
Then I wanted to use the smaller font for spelling out her name- the 50 pt font for the announcing info!
When I went onto the height, weight and time I used my FAVORITE the small letter set (that is an abolsute MUST HAVE!!)
I should have done different flowers, but I honestly had a 1/2 hour to get this together, so I was happy.
Now to work on the card! LOL! Can’t give a gift without a card to match. Cross your fingers I get that done today!! Ill share it when I do 😀
IMPORTANT CAUSE!
OH! one more important thing to share!! My friend Mandy shared some info for a special sale on her blog HERE! I agree 100% with everything Mandy said and the cause repesented! I am all about raising money for cancer reasearch and when you find something great to purchase that helps to do that DOUBLE BONUS!!!
COPY/PASTING Mandys words (hope thats OK Mandy) -but please read her linked post!!
“This month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and there is a new pair of Pink Ribbon BabyLegs. For every pair of Pink Ribbon BabyLegs purchased, the BabyLegs company will donate 10% of the proceeds to cancer research. But get this…Jill will also donate ANOTHER 10% on top of that!! And look how cute they are…
Jill would love to donate pairs of BabyLegs to a local children’s hospital to be given to children who are cancer patients. Jill points out that BabyLegs are convenient for children in the hospital to wear, as they are often hooked up to IV’s and having medical procedures. Clever. She has comprised a list of BabyLegs styles to from which to choose, and for every TWO pairs that you purchase to donate, Jill and Heavenly Blessed will donate ONE MORE pair! As if this wasn’t good enough, the BabyLegs company has heard about what Jill is doing, and if 100 pairs are donated, they will MATCH those 100 pairs!! 🙂 Be sure to donate and pick up a pair or two for your little ones as well!
CLICK HERE TO VIEW JILL’S SELECTION OF BABYLEGS AT HEAVENLY BLESSED!
TO DONATE A CARD, E-MAIL Mandy [email protected] FOR her ADDRESS! All cards must be postmarked by Friday, October 31!
——————————————————————–
OK Now “I” am back. The part about the legs being great for kids with Cancer, is a DEFINITE YES!HECK any kid who has lines to deal with. I so wish I had some of those when Alexa got sick! I was SO freaked out her PICC line would get caught on something, and pulled out. Plus they are SUPER cute!! I think this is a great idea, so if you see some use for a little one in your life, now is the time 😀 Or if you want to donate a pair that is FABULOUS!!
I hope to order a few pair myself. Granted my kids are bigger but I have lots of little ones around me, and I know that ONE pair could be used for TWO kids in the hosptial :D, and make them feel better about all they have going on, not having to LOOK at the lines. I know Alexa use to kind of get upset when she would see the lines.
I want to thank Jill for doing her part in making a difference 😀
For those inquiring about Alexa, we had a fabulous appointment with NO concerns. Now that her meds are straightened out she is OK. No weird, scary and wonky symptoms.
I also want to share I have tried SEVERAL of the tips you all provided for Math help and she is doing MUCH better. We are using a wipe board for her to SEE, and TOUCH the addition/subtraction of numbers, and I think its working. Thanks so much for all the tips and programs. I have several more to look into 😀
OK I think I may FINALLY fall FLAT on my face. After the birthday day party Alexa has to attend (gotta make a card!) and the Sat. sketch.
OK I’m really done now 😀
I don’t even want to think how many hours I spent bloggin this week! It took me WAY longer to blog this stuff than it did to make it-I kid you not!!!! I may not even be making any sense by this point.
OK you can now pinch me! I have my very own template line! My Timeless Templates © is REAL!I have my own line, with my own sections! I have a description page, my disclaimer page (for those questions of what is, and isn’t ok), and my templates library page! Im OVER THE MOON right now with excitement!!
I am hoping that MOST of you have or planned to download the FREE template, to give it a try, and see what you are getting for you $5! I’m sure you will happy once you get creating 😀 You have NOTHING to lose!!
In the meantime scroll down because I have 3 challenges today!
I hope you use these challenges as the PUSH you need to give it a go.
Box of snow
OK this template for the For Keep{sake} box was my very first template for the My Timeless Template © collection! Yes you read it right, the very first thing I designed. I totally love this box, and hope you will too. It was my favorite creation using the new release items! The Made from snow man is perfection.
There are so many possibilities that can come from this template, so lets see what YOU can do!
Challenge : What can YOU find to fill your For Keep{sake} box with? Will it be a fun item, or homemade gift? Maybe something edible-YUM!
Rule: *TRY* to incorporate some BLING. Anything that has a little shimmer, or glitter. Now notice I said TRY! I just want you to enjoy this one 😀
Keyword : MyTimelessTemplateFKC03 (For Keep{sake}challenge 03) Use that when uploading to an online gallery so we can all find it. When you are done creating/posting, share a link here, so we can all see your creation with the templates!
Now for my creation- I just loved this one!
This holder is so quick, simple and pretty to hold those YUMMY Lindt chocolate truffles!
I just used glossy cardstock, and the versamark resist technique to stamp my snowflakes, then brayer on some blue ink, only 1/2 way along the template, so you get the look of a snowy sky, with winter snowdrifts. I then cut out my snowman for the front of my window. CUTE!!
My Timeless Templates ©-For Keepsake
Stamps-Snowfall, snowfall additions, made of snow
cardstock-glossy, and white, acetate
ink-pallette black, bashful blue, versamark, copic
other- adhesive rhinestone, circle punches, glitter, liquid applique, polka dot ribbon, MS blue ribbon, rubber brayer
OK now its your turn to create your For Keep{sake} box! I am having so much fun with this, I really hop you are too!
