I forgot about a FUN read! People loved this post last year. I figure I have many new reader’s whom may not have seen it. People always ask how I seem to “do it all”, well hereare some fun tips 😀 Enjoy! I even put it in it’s own category on my sidebar, for easy future reference!
I am having some issues with my blog font, size and everything. I have NO IDEA what is going on! GRR!!!
Upon trying to figure stuff out I found the way to change the color! Don’t worry every post won’t be pink now, although it IS tempting me 😀
I am happy to say I am feeling 100% better, and things are going great. I am back in HAPPY mode. Positive mode. No more whining. OK well ONE more bit of whining. I am a bit worried about the girls parties-tomorrow is the last day for RSVP’s for Alexa and I only have 3 people so far :C How does this RSVP thing happen every year?! Seriously people never respond!
Then, poor Amber, I have 3 girls definitely NOT coming due to soccer games, and only like 2 coming so far. I know I would rather go to a fun Spa party than a soccer game ANY day! Its only ONE game! Jay says that is not a “team” attitude. Oh well! LOL! Im not a sports person anyway! LOL! I guess its just hard putting so much into a party to have people not pick up a phone. My point-if you get invited to a party please don’t wait till last minute to RSVP!
We have a full weekend planned and it should be so much fun. We are suppose to go to Canobie Lake Park tomorrow, but its suppose to be like 60 degrees! I am not going on a bunch of rides that are windy when its FREEZING out! Let’s hope it warms up a bit. Its jay’s company party so I don’t want to be a downer, but I don’t want us all FREEZING either. THAT is not fun. Plus the kids get the cold weather continuous runny nose-blech!
I made Jay turn the heat up today to 70. The house was freezing this morning. Fall is here. He didn’t want to turn on the heat but I assured him is he wanted to have a “nice” weekend, he would be smart, and turn on the heat, otherwise HE would be the one freezing (wink! LOL!). So he promptly cranked it up and I am nice and toasty warm now 😀
OK onto business today!
Daisy had her birthday on Tuesday September 16th!
I had to make her a card! I used an image from Stamping Bella called Butch & Mimi. I think Mimi is Daisy in cartoon version 😀 I chose what I thought was some fun colors that suit Daisy and her personality (yes dogs DO have personalities!). I decided Daisy needed a balloon, so I punched a circle, then stamped a paw image from the Dog Plate #1 set
I can’t believe she is one! Many have been asking for updates and photos, so I hope today gives you a
little chuckle. The photos I have to share were taken ON her birthday. She was definitely up for some
mischief!
First she ate Amber’s Spaghetti O’s & meatballs off the table-you will see her nice red face? There is no hiding that Daisy!!
Then she was a little quiet. Just like a child, that is NOT a good thing!
I go to find her, and she in the mud porch, chewing SOMETHING………….
Oh yes, of course! Its my bench!
She hops right up, and gives me this look like…………
Seriously!! How can something THIS cute, be THAT naughty!! She is such a chewer! Gosh! Nothing is safe.
Its hard to get mad at her though.
Then she begins gnawing on my doorway! Yes, right in front of me! I reprimand her, and she just looks up at me like this
Man! If she were a kid she’d be in big trouble! LOL! She is my fur-baby, and has me just wrapped around her naughty little paw!
Well that is it for me today. I also have a birthday party to go to this weekend, so I hope to get what I need done for that. Don’t forget tomorrow is the Saturday Sketch! I hope you get to check back in and play along 😀 Its another fun one.
Well isn’t she a little stinker?!?! I am getting the arm nudge and whine from my big stinker right now. She is missing her daily dog bone fix from Grampa. Pathetic I tell you.
Im glad things are looking up. If not many girls show up for Spa day just think it is like pampering to go around. 🙂 Got to run, there is some kind of toy car crashing disaster happening in the other room. 🙂 -Molly B
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAISY!!! I’m glad you are in a happier place, and lucky for Jason that he turned up the heat 😉 Sorry Daisy was so naughty on her B-day – she really IS a cutie pie though! Oh – and great card too! gosh – I feel like i’m all over the place!
Hope you have a great day – and terrific weekend!!!!
OH – and the RSVP thing…I’ve started putting ‘regrets only’ on my invites, so that way, everyone is included ‘in’ until they call themselves ‘out’…I find, USUALLY people who aren’t going to be able to go, are often the ones who call right away. Sorry – you’ve had a poor response… 🙁 I hope you get lots of calls today!!
I started doing exactly what Tracey does, the regrets only. It seemed to help. Sometimes, I wish people were more thoughtful (maybe not the right word) but then I’m pretty easy going only because I’ve forgotten a few times -(dunking).
Daisy is the cutest and I can certainly understand the forgiving part on that sweet little fur-baby. She is sweet!
Your cards are lovely! Love the puppy card!
Hope you get your blog back to normal again although it was a nice surprise to see all the pink.
Glad you’re doing better! You certainly do not need to apologize for having ‘off days’. They are definitely warrented.
Big hugs,
Renee
Wow she has grown up fast..Oh your poor bench, but what a cute adorable face..your right..if she was a child..UGH
I agree, people don’t RSVP anymore, not even adults for adult things..You would think everyone would know you have to plan food, goodie bags. ( and I bet yours are terrific)…I wish people would RSVP! Hugs, and have a super weekend..
Lauren, I went through the same thing with RSVPs for the bridal shower I hosted for a friend. I sent out about 20 or so invites and only heard from 4 or so. Nothing, nada. The day of the bridal shower I had about 10 people attend. They came apologizing for not RSVPing, but that was it. I guess we’ve somehow seem to lost that courtesy for parties. It’s really hard too, because so much planning go into the event and it really helps to know the amount of people that are coming. I hope your girls parties are fabulous regardless of the number that can make it!
Your furbaby is adorable! How can anyone get mad at a face like that? And your card is great. I haven’t made a card just for fun all week, so I think I may have to CASE this one! Thanks for the inspiration.
Lauren great to have you back..lol. Happy birthday to all in your house. It sounds like you may need the dog whisperer..lol. On the subject of the parties we learned over the years (my dd is 17 now) that it is quality not quantity when it comes to celebrating. I don’t know why people do not RSVP it always puzzled me. Anyway I hope your girls enjoy their special day all the same. Have a great time!!!
So gosh darn cute. I love the faces puppies can give you. Pets are great but so much work. It is like having another child, like you said. But somehow, I heard, that people with pets actually live longer. I wonder how that is hehehe
Super great card – now, will she eat it too? Is she teething as in getting more adult teeth? Ummmm, maybe she picked up on all the rough vibes and decided to her own mischief to make you laugh or just pay more attention? Fur babies – gotta love them! So, glad everyone is doing better. Maybe she was hinting she wanted a big new chew toy for her birthday? Hugs!
Yeah a few other people have said this, but you can’t expect everyone to come to the birthday parties. They will be a GREAT time, even if only a few girls are there. They may actually be a LOT more fun with a small group!
Is your adorable little love part Lasha many years ago I had a sweet heart that I told so many times it was a good thing she had cost so much or she would have a new home. She ate a Bible, chairs, antique coat rack, a stool I spent many hours in a painting class making, buttons off any shirt she could find..and so on. The only answer for many years was crating her when we went out. She was with us for seventeen years so we did learn to adjust. They do eventually out grow this.
Daisy is soooo cute!!! Is she still teething? I think Mom needs to buy her something that she loves to chew. We gave our dog a bleached bone (recommended by her vet) that we purchased from the pet store. You can buy them in different sizes for different sized dogs. She loved it and left our things alone 🙂
Glad things are looking more positive for you and Alexa now.
Loved the pictures of Daisy! It’s hard to believe she’s 1 already! Belated Happy Birthday Daisy!! The card is so cute – I loved the balloon and how you did it. Really cute!! She sounds very naughty though, but how can you stay mad at a cute puppy like Daisy?! I read what you posted about the RSVP’s… I’ve ALWAYS had the same problem, plus at some times I’ve had someone actually ask to bring another kid! Kind of screws up the treat bags doesn’t it?
I think the idea about counting everyone in is the best idea, then you know you’ve got enough!
yea people don’t seem to RSVP like they use to, I think too much going on…just love the card right down to the little bow in her hair. we have had a few things destroyed by our furbabies (cats and dogs) it makes you sick but what are you going to do with them 🙂

What a beautiful baby , she looks like my ginger.
It’s good to have you back in “Happy Mode” Lauren.
Hope Alexa is doing better, and you all have a Happy Birthday Party Weekend :~)

It must have been bad dog day! Mine ate the chicken breasts thawing in the sink while I was at work. So much for a healthy meal, ended up at McD’s!
Sorry about the RSVP’s, I don’t understand why people don’t anymore. I even include my email to make it that much easier!

Oh I want your dog!!!!!!! He is the cutest dog i have ever seen!

Awwww!!! How can you be mad at an adorable face like that!!
Your card is adorable, and so is Daisy!! A bit naughty, but oh so cute!! 😉
AWWW! How sweet is THAT?! You can’t stay mad for very long, can you?! That image matches your little furry friend perfectly!! 🙂

Daisy is adorable and so is the card, love it!!
Your dog is sooooo adorable! What a little fur ball. I can see why it would be tough to get really mad at her with a face like that!
Such a cute puppy card. And love the pics of Daisy. Irrestible, aren’t they?
