Papertrey Blog Hop

Jun 25, 2008 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards, Tutorials

Well I have to make this quick because we are going to visit our friends who had their baby.

The Papertrey Blog Hop Challenge was to use Acetate!

You can see who is playing along by checking the forum–> HERE

I have gotten so many requests for the very simple acetate, art glitter glue and glitter technique that I thought this challenge was PERFECT timing.

For this card I used Butterfly Kisses. I then cut apart my butterfly to make it look like it was flying 😀

Step one-stamp image on acetate with StazOn

step-1.jpg

Step 2-Use the fine tip stainless steel adapter and apply glue where you want it.

step-2.jpg

I am making my butterfly 3 colors. Usually you have finer details

Step 3-sprinkle on glitter of choice-tap off excess

step-3.jpg

Repeat steps as needed for more glitter colors.

NOTE: you only want to do one area of glue-per color glitter at a time so glitter only sticks to wanted area

Step 4-Let dry.

You will know it is dry as the glitter will be easily seen on front of acetate!

OK that is all for me. Better run.

See you later at the UNITY release party.

Thanks for looking!

Day Dreamin-Unity Peek

Jun 25, 2008 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards

Wednesday! 1/2 way through the week!!

Well I did go back to the town pool yesterday. That guy was gone (I think he was part of the crabby party). We were there for 2 hours!  It began to thunder so they had everyone leave. The kids were sad-but the 2 hours was plenty long for me. It was great. I may just end up living there this summer since it is like 1 minute from my house. I have lived here 6 years and never went! I was bored out of my mind though! LOL!

Its not a “pool” but more like a lake/pond sort of thing. Its just called a pool. Its nice and small and I can see the 4 kids NO PROBLEM! There are bathrooms right there, and they have a bin of water/sand toys.

So a good thing to do with the kids that doesn’t take a lot of gas $$!!!

Tomorrow we are going with my friend and her daughter to the Disovery Place in Londonderry. Amber had a field trip there months ago and it was great!

Now onto the details of today-

Now normally Unity only provides you TINY peeks, until the party-but because Angela is sponsoring this blog candy we want you to see what you are commenting for! I have been able to provide full on views 😀

OK we have the LAST day of peeks for Unity today! Check out ALL the DT blogs-WOW! The release party is tonight 😀

I hope to see you—->HERE<— later-8p-10p CST (9p-11p EST)

Discounts, Prizes, and 11 NEW RELEASES!!

If you haven’t already, enter to win one of 2 Unity Sets HERE! I will be giving away Eco Chic and Tiny Trinity!!! Also Jimmi and Patter have a give away too.

Be sure to check the BLOG too.

Now for my card 😀

unity-tree.jpg ECO CHIC SAMPLE

This card uses a tree/branch image from the new Eco Chic. The sentiment is from Gratitude = Joy. Yes I am on a button kick these days! I have no idea WHY I just am! I got the ribbon at Michaels dollar spot-and just love the pink in it-that pops out. That is what I based my tree on. I added the little black dots with my sakura black gel pen.

Too fun.

Well that is it FOR NOW!!

I will return later for the Papertrey Blog Hop 😀 Details–>Here

The challenge uses acetate-one of my favorite things IN THE WORLD!!! I am having a Clearly Creative class this weekend at The Paper Tree using techniques with just acetate! FUN STUFF!!!

So I am doing a tutorial on the Art Glitter here!! YEAH! I know so many asked about it, and we aren’t using it in my class. (SHOCKING I KNOW! My 2 faves glitter and acetate! LOL!) So check back 5pm EST!

Then I hope to see you at the Unity party.

Lets not forget ONE MORE place for blog candy-

Leigh http://sunflowerstudio.typepad.com/sunflower_studio/

And the MOTHERLOAD of giveaways-HERE!!

Thanks for checking in here!!

Later!!
