Well I am SO late in posting. Sorry. I got some new stamps, and got caught up in creating yesterday. Totally NOT a bad thing!
Alexa had her Post-Cancer follow up today. That is why I am late. WOW! We were in & out of there in 15 minutes! It took longer to drive. It is becoming more & more real that this chapter is “over”. I get scared just saying it outloud. I have to have FAITH. That can be a hard thing to have sometimes. Especially when things aren’t going your way. Granted things are going so well, but I have to continue to remind myself have faith that she will remain Cancer Free! I can’t tell you how extremely blessed I feel about that. I remember the day she got diagnosed like it was yesterday. It is as memorable as her birth. That day will never leave me. Nor will the last day of treatment.
I feel like a tornado just ripped through my house, and we are all still standing there in the middle, unharmed and in one piece. I know that may not make sense, but it is the ONLY way I can describe this feeling. Being at her first Post Cancer follow up really impacted me today. So much has happened since then. While we aren’t “un-touched” by the tornado, we are left standing, in one place, as thankful and stronger than ever. Forever changed by the experience, forever grateful we made it through the storm.
If we don’t weather the storm sometimes, how can we ever appreciate the rainbow?
I am reminded to be thankful for what I have, everyday. To go forward, and when things change, step forward in faith.
You may not believe this but I never intended on most of my “deep” reflective posts to ever go there. I often think of deleting them, but then say “No this is what I was/am thinking” so I leave it be.
Now the reason came to post! LOL!
I am sure MOST of you out there have heard of Magnolia Stamps before-right?
Well if you haven’t then hold onto your wallets! Im about to share some news!
These are just the CUTEST images ever. If you LOVE to color, you will be in heaven. Since getting all the Copic Markers I LOVE coloring 😀 so these are just perfect.
The FIRST time I ever saw Magnolia stamps was onKimmie’s Blog. I love her work, and it is her stuff that made me fall in LOVE with them. I would always DROOL over her creations, but never ordered since they are a Sweden based company (and I am impatient).
If you are over 30, then you may know what I am talking about when I say these images remind me of Holly Hobby!!! I loved her, and seeing these takes me back to those happy childhood memories.
Well many of you know that I work with Scor-Pal. Diana asked me what I thought about her carrying Magnolia images. Well, I flipped! I told her when she got them in I wanted to order every single one! And I did!
This should show you just how many images Diana is going to be carrying. I put them all on my mini Clip it up!PS I don’t know who else has one. I have heard some negative things about it, but I dont know why! Im in LOVE with mine! I got the mini and its really big! You can bet your bottom dollar that I ma so getting the larger one!!! If you have a lot of UN stamps this ROCKS!!!!
So here are the details from Diana
“The MAGNOLIA-licious web site will not be online for several weeks but
we have inventory and are sending out product now. People can contact me
at [email protected]. I will send them a catalog persay of all the
images we have. They copy and paste into a new document what stamps they
would like and send this to me. I then call them and we complete their
order. The Tilda and Edwin images are $12.00 and the others range from
$9.00 to $14.50 for the very large stamps like the “swing”. The stamps
are mailed from Blaine, WA for US customers and Surrey, Canada for
Canadian Customers. The prices are at par.”
Note: PLEASE dont ask me to help you decide on any! As you can see I had NO will power to decide for myself, and got them all! LOL!
Now I will give you what you really came here for! (I think! LOL!)
This is my favorite of the trio. Maybe because its SIMPLE?
I so LOVED this little girl. She was the first one I inked up. I thought she was just the cutest thing. I had some paper, that reminded me of her skirt pattern, so the colors in that inspired her skirt.
This is a clean and simple layout. A great start for me, who is sometimes intimidated by others ROCKIN coloring abilities.
The focus stays on the girl, and the little details don’t take away from her. The sentiment is by Stampin Up!
How adorable is she? Oh and the BIRDS!! Love them!!!!
I wanted to use her, and I fell in LOVE with the fence image (no they are ot one stamp!). So I stamped the girl, then masked her, and stamped the fence. I am no “scene” maker but was quite proud of this one.
I cut her out with my nestabilties, and like always use the metal frame as a “mask” to sponge on my color. Too bad you cant see her glittery angel wings.
I swear I could live by this sentiment alone. This is from the revised Out On a Limb Sentiments
Now when coloring images, I like to choose my paper first. This is an older collection from Chatterbox. It is easier for me to color to match a paper, than to match a paper to my coloring. All my images are colored with my Copic markers.
Now this is a SIMPLE one
Magnolia has a plethora of non people images. I figured it would be fun to use JUST them.
I fell in love with the Tulips! They are my favorite flower. Then again, the birds. Kept it simple. Sentiment was PERFECT!! It is from the Birds of a Feather set.
I do have another CUTE card, but it will wait for my Saturday Sketch!!!
Come back tomorrow-I have more to share. Can you say Unity? YEAH!!!
Then I will have to show my All about the Bling class samples sometime this weekend. Blog candy here Friday!!
See you later! And thanks for always checking in. I appreciate those who have and haven’t been getting email updates for the heads up!!
I am emotionally drained and need to go chill out.

OMG Lauren ….. Just a moment while I pick up my jaw off the floor !!! WOW !! That is some stash you received from Magnolia 🙂 Aren’t they the most adorable, loveable characters you’ve seen? All your creations are outstanding but I especially LOVE your “Live Life” with the birdies ~~ TOO CUTE!!
And I’m SO BEYOND EXCITED to see that Diane has a supplier who will be shipping out from B.C., Canada. WOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO !
I have a favor to ask ~~ could you post a photo of your “mini clip-it-up”, as I’ve never seen the mini unit and I’m in the process of ordering a regular size “clip-it-up”; I’d like to compare size. Thanks Miss Magnolia =)
WOW! on everything! They are so cute! How do you manage to order every one and not get divorced? I NEED to know that secret!
It’s so great to hear about Alexa and if we all keep her in our prayers I’m sure she will remain CFree! Keep living…one day at a time!

Your coloring blows me away. I love those little birds. So cute. -Molly B
I am so lucky (or I should say my wallet is!) because I don’t like those stamps! I know everybody is flipping over those but I really don’t dig them. Maybe they freak me out because of the no nose-no mouth issue once again, LOL! It’s a very good thing that I am picky with stamps or I would be broke!!!
I like your 3rd card a lot though, (since the kids are not there, LOL!) 😉
And I saw somewhere, can’t remember where now, that Sarah kay stamps are about to come out. Now THOSE really remind me of my childhood, I had some posters in my room! 🙂
I’m so glad Alexa’s worries are a thing of the past but I can understand how you still want to pinch yourself to see if you are dreaming!
((hugs))
What wonderful news about Alexa!! And the only thing I can say about the Magnolia stamps is WOW!!! It’s nice to know that there will be such a fabulous selection! These three cards are just delightful! 😀
Yippeee Alexa and Lauren and the whole family. I am jumping up and down for you guys and will continue to keep you in my prayers that all will continue well. You are very, very special folks and the blog community really cares about you.
The Magnolia stamps are precious and I love what you have done with them. Your coloring abilities are stellar!
Cheryl

It’s so good to hear your little one is doing well now!
I know you can’t help us decide…but can you tell me if Magnolia has any little ballerinas?
Happy to hear great news from Alexa.
Lauren, your cards are so pretty!!!! I love Magnolia, but I don’t own any, maybe when finances get better.
God bless
Giovana
First let me say that I am so happy for you all and Alexa, and will continue to keep you in my prayers. Your story has touched my heart! Now….AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I ADORE Magnolia stamps…already have a number of them, but haven’t ordered in ages because of the exchange rate and shipping costs! Thank you, thank you for letting us know that we’ll be able to FINALLY get these from a US distributor (aka Scor-Pal)! I’ve already sent in my email to request a “catalog” and will be passing this info on to all my my fellow Magnolia lovers!
Just a teensy bit more practice and I think you will have this stampin’ thing down pat – haha. You totally rock!! I would love to have the talent you have in one little pinky – in all of me!
I send up prayers of thanks for Miss Alexa. Now she can just be a little girl having fun – not a little girl fighting an illness. Big cyber hugs to all of you.
I am so glad to hear that things are good with Alexa. These cards are fantastic!!!
I am so glad Alexa’s check up was good news. Thank you so much for being involved in getting Magnolia stamps available. I love their stamps and your cards are so-oo cute. Can’t wait to see what stamps are available. I e-mailed I would love to have a few, my goodness girl you got carried away!!! Ann
Glad to hear about Alexa. The cards are fantastic. The papers, colors everything but the coloring around her mouth/nose area is a little strange. I add mouths to mine, since I am uncomfortable leaving it be.
Looks like all the money you made selling stamps and more is gone 🙂
OMG!! You must have a very DEEP pockets in order to buy all those stamps at once. If not, what’s your secret in getting those by your hubby? LOL!!! Here’s wishing you continued good health for your daughter.
WOW!!! I love the cards. She is a doll, I love the birdies too. I am going to have to go check the other stamps out. I am a huge fan of tulips also that might have to be a must for me. Thanks for all the enabling you do for me 😉
Congratulations on the great doctors appointment. I cannot say that I know exactly where you are coming from but your description of the whole situation makes it easier for me to somewhat makes sense of all you, your family and especially Alexis has been through.
Wow! Look at those stamps! Can I come play in your stamp room? I so remember Holly Hobbie and you definitely have those cards reminding me of her too.
Do you know, my favourite is the birdie one. I have never seen that image before, and I’m in love!
Lauren, I’m glad the dr. appt for Alexa went well. Great cards as usual! I love all the layouts and look forward to Sat. Sketch. Have a great rest of the week. Heather
I just had to tell you that as I was reading your post (and admiring those precious cards), my Noah climbed up in my lap and started pointing at them saying, “Cuke! Cuke!” – Noah speak for “Cute! Cute!” Apparently he likes ’em too =D
Have a fabulous rest of the week – my busy week is upon me and I’m getting ready to leave for San Diego early Friday morning. Heehee! I’m gonna miss you while I’m gone!
Get out girl! Are you serious…I can order and have them shipped FROM Canada and not wait THREE weeks AND pay duty?!! Oh I’m there! Like yesterday 😉
All of your cards are super cute….thanks for enabling me again….you are NOT good for my pocket book you know! lol
Glad to hear that the app’t for Alexa went well. Keeping my fingers crossed and my thoughts and prayers for you all that it stays that way too!
I’ve been waiting. Could you send me a copy of the stamps you have.
Wow! That’s a lot of stamps! They really are adorable images. The cards you’ve made are great, as always.
Stumbled on your site a few weeks ago and read your story on Alexa and was SO thrilled at your good news today…yea God!!
Your coloring abilities are awesome and the stamps just couldn’t be any cuter…they remind me of Holly Hobby too. I have 2 Tilda stamps and was so excited to see your note that I won’t have to order from Sweden next time. Thank you and keep up the great work!
Lauren: I am thrilled with your news regarding your daughter! Congratulations…you couldn’t ask for better news!
Regarding Magnolia stamps? Oh my…I am in BIG trouble! I have ordered from Magnolia in the past but the cost of shipping was NUTZ! It will be wonderful having a “store” in the US that carries them. My hubby won’t think so…ha ha ha.
AND, a final note, I am happy that you have them all! Their stuff is so cute…I am going to save all kinds of money and maybe I can get a big chunk of them too! hee hee.
Lauren, my first post to you. I LOVE MAGNOLIAS!!!!! I am so glad you posted some cards with them (You are one of my most favorite blogs and one of the most creative ladies I have ever seen! My friend and I use your blogs for excitement chats over lunch.). But, one question…ARE YOU TRYING TO MAKE THE REST OF US JEALOUS WITH THAT STASH?????? LOL! Keep those Magnolias rolling. I am at the edge of my seat awaiting your next artistic splash!
PS. By the way, for some of the ladies out there who have ordered Magnolias in the past…not sure why you paid and arm and a leg for shipping? I ordered directly from Sweden and shipping was only a flat $5.95 and I got quite a bit myself!
It’s great to hear about Alexa doing well! Sharing your journey I am sure has touched others who have gone down the same path and have found someone to help put a voice to the feelings they have had or are having!
thanks for being you! Andi
Yeah for Alexa!!
The Magnolias are absolutely ADORABLE!!!!! I wish you lived next door…and were my best friend….. and let me borrow your stuff!!!
Can’t wait to see what else you create!
So super happy to hear things are going well for Alexa, I pray that continues! Your new stamps are awesome! I have seen them and heard that Diana was going to carry them. You are too funny that you ordered them all, you are out of control! LOLOL! Great job with your creations!
Aren’t those Tildas just darlings?! You are right, they are so FUN to color. Lovely cards and I look forward to be inspired from your future cards. BTW, I ordered the Cat’s Pajamas Lily and Billy stamps – thanks to your adorable cards. 🙂
How exciting ‘eh (yes I’m from Canada)!!!…I just got my order from Diana as well!! I can’t wait to get them inked up!!
So glad to hear that Alexa’s appointment went so well!! Big hugs Kelly!!
You are too funny!! Look at all those stamps!! Would you take a picture of your stamps on your Clip It Up, please? I would like to see what it looks like with all those stamps on it. Then it might give me an idea of what I could put on one if I were to purchase one. Thanks much, Sweetie! Love your cards….they are all adorable!!
Oh these are so totally adorable images! It’s a good thing I’ve got a birthday comingup next month because I need some of thses! I love the “Little Birdie Told Me” card! I can see why you were playing yesterday Lauren!

You rocked them all, Girlfriend! Great coloring and colors!
I am so happy that Alexa’s appointment went well! Makes my little heart smile :o) I really like your first card – so sweet and simple, even though I don’t usually like these images. I think it’s cuz they’re all little fat kids with no faces! LOL! Your coloring is superb though and makes me want to be like you some day!
wow… darling stamps.
Yes they are a little holly hobby-ish… also Arthur (hahaha, to me anyway).
Great cards, as usual.
em
Wow Lauren you’ve bought a lot of those cuties girl! I’m so glad you like the Magnolia stamps and we can see what gorgeous things you are going to create with them.
Love the cards you’ve already made especially the birdie/ tulips one, awesome:-D
Have a lovely day!
xx Inge
Did I miss the enabler alert or where you to excited to remind us this post could be bad on our pocket books 🙂 LOL!!
I love these stamps and even more coloring! They look like fun. Your cards are gorgeous!!!
Awww…congrats on the first of many “great” appointments!
These stamps are so cute I love Holly Hobby and still have my dolls too!
GASP! These are wonderful!! Love the sweet little bird and the scenes you created flawlessly! Elizabeth Bead Diva
Holy Mo-lee!
Girl….My jaw dropped OPEN when I saw the picture of all the new stamps you purchased! (YIKES) You are amazing. But my kind of girl buying them ALL! 😉
Lauren – I’m catching up on my blogs (been absent for too long! LOL) and read this post. It is difficult to have faith after treatment. You and I are in the same boat. We just had her first 3mo scans done and had to wait five days and three phone calls later to get news she’s NED. One scan down, 7 more (21 months) until her chance of reoccurance drops to 2%. Be strong (which is easier said than done). Have those moments of solitude where you can release the stress that this brings. (((hugs)))
Beautiful cards! I can see why you would want all the Magnolia stamps. They are so cute! TFS
how exciting! I just got my first magnolia stamp a couple of weeks back and now i am wishing i had ordered more! I still havent played with her yet. I need to do that! 🙂
You fell for Magnolia stamps the same way I did…except since I couldn’t find someone from the USA to ship – I bought mine directly from Sweden – foreign exchange and all! This is great news that Diana will be carrying them. Yippee!!! Actually – now my bank account will be severly damaged since it will be easier to order :->
OH MY GOSH~!!!! I’m drooling!!! All of them!!! I just got my order from Diana too but I only got 9. I have 7 others that I bought somewhere else. I just love them too…aren’t they the cutest?
I can’t believe you got them all!!!! Lucky you!!!! I can’t even imagine the cost for all those!!! Oh my goodness!!!
I will keep Alexa in my prayers to be well forever! Hugs,Diane
Hi Lauren,
I love your blog, and am so very happy about the news about Alexa. You are such a wonderful mom…a true inspiration!!
Anyways, I have to thank you about the Magnolia info. I happen to live not far from Diana and was planning on picking up a new Scor Pal once school was over ( I work in a local elementary school and have the summer off…too bad you can’t see my happy dance ’cause summer break is almost here!!). Anyways, I’ve just received the info from Diana and am going to have to choose a few that I’ll pick up with my Scor Pal. How great is that…no shipping!! Now I can’t buy them all, unfortunately, as I don’t make my full pay over the summer, but a few should tide me over until the fall. Thanks for sharing your awesome creations with us all. Soon I will have all summer to practice my coloring skills!
Many thanks again!!
Heather L.

OH OH OH!!! I’m SOO EXCITED OVER THIS!! WOOHOO!! And I’m from OR, so WA wouldn’t take long at all!! 🙂 THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! I’ll be placing my order soon! Does she happen to have the Edwin with the guitar that I just posted on my blog? I don’t own any Magnolia’s — YET! But another blogger sent me images to color in. Can’t find it anywhere?
CONGRATS on finishing the last treatment and your DD being cancer-free.. What a blessing, and you’re so right–how can we ever be thankful for anything if we didn’t have things like this in our lives? PRAISE GOD that he allowed her to get better!! So happy for you all. Hugs!

Lauren. . .I, too, love the Magnolia’s, & am addicted to coloring them. I have about 18-22, am not sure. I just received the newest ones from the “pet series”, and I pre-ordered, then received them in about 2 1/2 weeks, withe the shipping being very low from within the states. (I live in in GA). I often have days when I am off my feet, and get my pleasure from coloring these adorable little people.
My heartfelt prayers go out to you, Alexa, and your family. I would love to hear from you! Please, keep your positive spirit!
