Im sorry for the lack of posting. Sweet so many of you were worried about me ๐
I got many “Are you OK “emails ๐ So I will fill you in
I had a bit of an issue yesterday. A huge scare actually, and I am still calming down from it all.
I found a lump under my arm, and had to go for a biopsy yesterday.ย ย The lump had been there forย a year , and until I noticed a significant change in size, literally overnight, I had tried NOT to think about it. I know, I should have had it checked sooner, but I really didn’t want to know.
Im talking from smaller than a pea to a nice sized strawberry.
Anyway, thankfully the biopsy was done, and THIS IS GROSS-it was all puss.ย That was fabulous news!!!
ย It was a blocked lymph node, and they think recent stress, and they type of exercise I had been doing, irritated it, to form a large fluid filled cyst.
ย Other than the pain of the needle inserted to biopsy it, and now it still hurts I am OK!
Now we have also had snow and ice, and my Internet has been on and off.
I do have things to share with you, but have some things to wrap up here first so I can give YOU my time during my post.
I also want to share a great recipe for YOU!
OK-I swear I will be back tonight-and let me tell you some of the stuff I have to share is going to ROCK your projects ๐
I have some loose ends to tie up to for the PTI release ๐ Im SO excited I can’t stand it.
So thanks for caring and nearing with me
My advice for this post would be DON’T wait! Go to the doctor.
I was fourtunate my incident wasn’t serious.
I really didn’t want to know or deal with it but now a big sigh of relief.
It also showed me that if it were “something” big, I have alot of loose ends to tie up regarding life. Such as a will and all the BLECH-
I am definitely enjoying TODAY.
OK Ill be back

I’m so glad Lauren. I found mine when it was the size of a pea and it was cancer, however early detection saved my life. I’m approaching the 4 year mark and just got cleared to only see my oncologist every six months rather than the every three I have been doing.
Thanks for spreading the word that EARLY DETECTION SAVES LIVES!!!
OMG, how scary! I’m *so* glad you’re okay. Seriously, PTL everything is okay! โฅ
I just received my notice that I’m overdue for my mammogram. Guess I’ll be calling later today for my appointment.
Sorry I missed your call yesterday.

Glad everything is okay, Lauren! That would be so scary! We are in the same boat with some things we know we need to do and haven’t, ie a will and who takes care of our children if something happened to us. It’s just such a hard thing to even think about someone else raising my babies.
I am so glad that you are okay , I was begining to wonder if maybe with all the snow yall have had that you had lost your interent. So glad that it was nothing major. Susan
(sorry about that – someone came to the door)
What I was going to say, is I know the fear that engulfs you when these things happen. When a lump was found in my left breast a few years ago, I went in for surgery and they removed it. It wasn’t cancer – PTL. I have to go in now every 6 months. I’m good with that.
How’s Alexa doing?
My son just called. I have to pick him up from weighlifting. I’ll talk to you later, okay?
{{{HUGS}}}
OMG how scary…girly you are so lucky…{insert the mommy in me, you should have gone sooner} I know as mom’s we are last on the totem pole…but I am so thankful you are okay!!
BTW which recipe did you try for dinner the other night…You did get some great ones!!Hugs, Chris { I also tagged you for Excellence for blogging}
I’m glad to hear that you are ok. I’m looking forward to seeing your PTI projects – I love it all, but I’m really excited to see what the designers have in store for us!!!! Take care and feel better. Heather
Glad to hear you are A-O-K!! Take care or yourself!
I am so glad that you are Ok. I had a similiar experience years ago which taught me never to wait (mine was ok also)! You really don’t want to deal with it, it will just go away, well we were fortunate this time but … next time (hopefully there won’t be a next time) you know the drill! So make sure you see the doctor at the first sign…you hear??? Welcome back!
I am so glad it wasn’t serious! I was wondering where you went. Yikes, life comes at ya fast doesn’t it! Guess it serves as a reminder for ALL of us! ๐ Glad your back (although isn’t it funny that two days without Lauren and everyone freaks!) haha! You’re loved girl!
I am so glad everything is alright!
Lauren,
I was worried about you but was hoping it was only snow related. I’m glad to hear that the biopsy was nothing more serious. Yay!!! I hope you are feeling better soon.
Love,
Kathy
Great news, Lauren! I’m glad to hear you’re O.K. and I can hardly wait to see what you have to share!
Oh how scary Lauren – I’m so sorry you had to go thru that & I’m so glad that everything is alright.
Hugz
Glad everything turned out to be just fine.
I can’t wait to see what you’ve created at the PTI release!
See you there!
I’m happy to hear everything is OK, very scary.
Thank goodness it was only a cyst! That would freak me out if it changed in size that dramatically really fast. I hear you on the Will thing……Sean and I always talk about how we need to do one but it just hasn’t happened. Luckily our familes both know where we would want the girls to go if we both died. So that major worry is taken care of.
I can HARDLY wait to see all the PTI goodies you have for us! I also can NOT believe you had that big a secret and kept if for who knows how long!!! That would be so hard!
I had a feeling something was wrong. I am glad everything turned out okay and the pain from the biopsy will go away soon. I look foward to seeing your PTI samples.
That must have been terrifying!!! I would have freaked! I’m glad it turned out to be nothing serious. A reminder though to take the time to take care of yourself too! I wondered why you hadn’t posted but thought you were finally taking time for yourself to get caught up! I didn’t want to be a nagging blog reader saying — hey, what about us – where’s the ideas ???? LOL ๐
Take care of yourself and thanks for sharing! ๐
Glad to hear you are doing well after this incident and hopefully the pain goes away quickly. I have been checking on your blog all day (can you say stalker) cause I was a bit concerned but I do know how life takes over. Seriously though I can’t wait to see your projects!
Glad you are okay! That was my resolution this year…back to the doctors for routine screening…all good…now the dentist!
Can’t wait to see what you have in store for us…I’ll check back about 11pm when I actually get another second to breathe!
Glad to hear you are Ok! When I saw no post today I assumed you had a snow storm and that the internet was down…
I missed you!! I’m used to my daily “lauren-fix”! LOL! ๐
Glad you are just filled with puss and not anything worse (who would have thought that would be a blessing???) Time to hugs those kids and be so thankful.
So glad all is ok!
Thank God that you are alright. I was so worried as you have been posting right along and then NOTHING. Isn’t it nice that so many people miss you and really care about you, Lauren? Hope your arm feels better real quickly.
Cheryl
Thank God you’re all right! Don’t wait next time please!! on my knees begging
Oh sweetie! I’m so glad that you’re ok, but wow, what a scare! Gentle (((hugs))).
Wow…what a scare… I’m so glad you are ok!!!!!!!!!
Nurse Meader, I know you don’t need a lecture, so just picture me shaking my finger at you {insert stern face}. I’m glad it turned out to be “nothing.” My goodness that must have been scary!
Oh dear lord, so sorry to hear you went through that but I am so glad that all is ok! Take some time and relax you need it!
Hugs – Maria
WOW, i’m glad that everything is ok. I had a similar situation like that a couple months ago under my bra line. I know how you were feeling! Take care!
This happened to an aunt of mine years ago. The culprit~antiperspirants (diagnosed by Dr. ~BTW~ since some start the quackery stuff right off). They are designed to stop up your sweat glands, thus why you stay dry. They eventually clog everything there and won’t allow for toxins to be able to escape. This can eventually lead to cancer of the lymph nodes if you aren’t careful. So, do I not use anti p’s? Yea (although I really shouldn’t, the aluminum in them is equally as dangerous), I still do when I have to go somewhere, but when I don’t, I only use aluminum free deoderant. I exercise a lot too, and you must let those sweat glands sweat! SO glad you are ok!!! Scary!
That must have been sooo scary for you……I’m so thankful you are okay…..hugs.
Wow, that is scary! I am so glad to hear it was nothing serious! Glad to have you back!
Wow Lauren, Thank God it wasn’t anything serious. I am having the same problem. I found a lump in my right underarm on Dec 28th 2007, I am still under tons of test, so far no answers, I had a Mammogram, X-Rays, Ultrasound and tomorrow I will have a CT, yes sounds horrible, but I have to face it. So far, my doctor says she hasn’t found anything serious (Ok, and that means???) but she really wants to find out what is in, my lump is the size of a strawberry, and setill the same since Dec.
I am glad for you and your results.
God bless you and Happy Valentine’s Day.
Giovana
OMW! I’m so thankful you are okay.
Goodness Lauren! So glad it wasn’t anything major!
Happy Valentine’s Day, Chickie!
Lauren, I’m proud of you for biting the bullet and going to the doctor. Glad it turned out to be nothing. Now, you and Jason get moving on those wills! That’s a biggie, and something that is better done now.
Holly
I totally feel you honey! And boy am I glad yours turned out alright!! The first one I found like that was actually on my breast itself so you can imagine the freaking out I did. And it was on the weekend so it wasn’t like I could call my doctor the next day. The next one I found was under my arm as well.
I am so happy you that your results came back that yours was only a cyst.
Lauren,
so glad thihg turned out okay.. But please let people know so they can get started entering you and your on prayer wheels.. From our mouths to God’s ears does a lot. Thanks for all you do for us cardmakers.. your tutorials are geat and I love your use of color. Good luck to you in the future.. Oh yes and thanks for sharing your talents with us…. MaryAnn
My husband had that happen near his armpit too. I remember him going to the Immediate Care because his was really painful. I’m glad it was nothing, scary nonetheless. I hope you recouperate very soon!
Boy, what a scare that must have been. Happy to hear that all is well.
Finding a lump is extremely scary! I am glad that yours was just a little puss – what’s puss when we are talking about some things that could be much, much worse!
BTW – Love the card that did you for you hubby! I like that the heart opens – your creations are always so inspiring!!!
Oh my….what a scare…..and a relief!!! So glad to hear you’re okay!!
Praise God! So glad your ok.
Fascinating take on this issue. I for a single have seen many twists on this and can often spot the holes in the arguement nonetheless, on this occasion I belelive your writing is such that every person will need to be in agreement with this. Thank you for sharing it with us.
