   I think the Billboardabella would be perfect for your Moms’ birthday card. I like the idea of putting a saying on the bulletin board. Or maybe a tiny pic of yourself when you were small would be cute with the words in the inside of the card. Something like “Happy Birthday to the best Mom in the world. Just look what’s on that bulletin board. Without your very special day, there would be no me. May your birthday be the best ever.”

    Lauren – I don’t have any Bella stamps…yet but I like the Lattebella card! For her B-Day she deserves a break (even tho the birthday was the 8th!!!) How about a cert. for a cup of coffee, her choice, at a local coffee place? I love both cards and whatever you chose, you Mom will love getting a card from you!

    i am thinking “grumabella”. she has the coffe, robe AND bunny slippers! you could add something about not being “grumpy” that you are celebrating another birthday, or being grumpy that you forgot to send the card, get out of your robe and slippers and celebrate with you….. something like that!

    Lauren, What if you used the garden bella on the outside and the spa bella on the inside of a card, kinda like when you do this, you need this. how fun would that be.     The cuppacakeabella looks like a good one. I absolutely love the colors you used above: River rock, bashful blue, and brocade blue. Lauren, the bellas are all so cute, you can use just about any of them. Your mom will love anything she receives from you!

    I think sweetybellas or gardenbella. I like the idea of the sweetybelllas since it seems like you Mom does a lot and I am sure you have some favorite memories of the two of you sitting and chatting. Any flowers or light spring colors would be great. I am sure that anything you make will ROCK!

    I love the patricia birthdaycake! I hadn’t seen that stamp yet, but oh is it cute! 🙂 I was collecting all the bella stamps too, but gave it a break for a little while. You are always great with your color choices, so you choose. Lots of bling and sparkles would be nice!

    I’m not familiar with the Bella’s (hanging head) but I am a fan of pampering myself when the mood strikes or when I gave a gift certificate…so my vote is to go for the mani/pedi/facial/massage/hair cut and color the whole deal! Hair always grows back! My philosophy – just thought I’d share as I’m a whopping 16 years older than you, LOL. I love the coffee card and the hairdresser card….I would not have been able to resist those stamps either. I’m really good at rationalizing things when they’re for the good and collecting stamps is for your creative energy expression and they make you happy…better than collecting grudges or chips on your shoulder or people around you who are toxic and suck the energy right out of you…those are things to shed quickly!!     I think you should use veggiebella, it’s spring and I would use bright green and pinks with some orange…make some background paper with veggies and flowers with a saying about growing older…and sweeter…

    I think GardenaBella, SpaBella or GrumpaBella would be cute. I love them all so its hard to choose just one. Maybe a trio of Bellas on the front to represent the “loves” of your Mom’s life. I just did something like that & it turned out great.

    I love both of these cards.
    Do you have the Bella with them sitting on a bench-eating icecream, & shopping bags? That would be a good one. Include a gift card from her favorite store and a coupon to an icecream shop. Everyone I give that to, loves it.

    I hear ya~about the not buying anymore paper. I do that same exact thing. SHHHHH…don’t tell my hubby.

    And Lauren-if you ever get tired of your Bellas-you can pass them on to me. I love these stamps, but can’t afford them. 🙁

    And your mom will totally understand. Seems like we are always celebrating our family members b’days late. Crazy!!!

    I think the Grumpabella would be good be cute (I just ordered her!) – and some people get grumpy at the idea of getting older…although I’m sure not one of them -or Gardenbella….she’s a little more chipper and you could do a cute sentiment about birthday blooms.

    At any rate (even late), she’ll love it because it comes from you, her very talented daughter!

    You should use Superbella because for your mom’s birthday. Let her know that you really appreciate her. Very cute rather than the standard present or cupcake card. My first order of Bella’s is on the way and I noticed a shipping promotion on Bella’s good until today. Good Luck. By the way I love your Dress up Lily stuff.     Too funny! I just ordered THOSE TWO stamps! Love them! I would vote for Cakabella for your mom! I LOVE her…she just seems so well put together in her fancy pants and shoes…her body just says, “Ta-DA! Look what I made for you!” “I worked all day, I still managed to make this cake for you and I’m still lookin good!” And that is what a MOTHER usually has to do…make a cake in the middle of her busy day…well, you as the daughter could treat your mother and do the same for her….in the middle of your busy day…you made her this beautiful cake…I mean card! : )

    This was a little hard not knowing your Mom personally, but here are the top three Bellas that I would use if I were you. I like the Flowahbella #246 since your Mom likes to garden. But as I kept looking I also thought that Grumpabella #216 would be cute, too. She has the robe, the bunny slippers AND the coffee. Plus you could come up with some cute saying about not worrying about her age, thus the grumpy part. And the third choice that I liked was the Superbella #189 because I think that all Moms who have kids that made it to adulthood successfully deserve to be called superheros! I hope that gives you some ideas on making your Mom an awesome card. Thanks for the chance to win some blog candy, too!

    Lauren, think you should use javabellas, doing a toast to you both for having a great love and life to share with each other…I don’t think she will mind when she gets a card from you, I feel that way with my daughter who lives 2000 miles away… do a spa day together while you can..the colors should be Spring ones, brightening up the day..big hugs to you both..

    To tell you the truth, I don’t think your mom would care what kind of card you made for her, it would turn out beautiful and she would love it!! I looked at all the bellas and I think what you originally selected – Underthehoody bella – would be perfect. You could change up the sentiment to birthday wishes . . or something like that. You know though, the bubblebella or the spabella would also work well . . . also the first idea abou the Billboardabella is fabulous!!! What’s her favorite color? You could start from there. By the way, guilt over 4 pieces of dp is unwarranted . . especially when you’ve already used some of it. DP isn’t that expensive . . not like buying, say, 4 new stamp sets . . :))

    And if you are feeling like changing your hair, why don’t you just get a trim and some highlights? They’re much less imposing than a new cut and a dye . . but still new and fresh! Whatever you do, have fun!!

    I think it depends on the gift–a gift card for Starbucks, for example would cry out for Lattebella or Javabella. If the present is neutral, so to speak, my vote is for Grumpabella–only with a smile in place of the frown! It would be unique, and would cover coffee, robe and bunny slippers, curling her hair. I looked at the different Bellas and since your mom likes gardening (VeggieBella) seems like a good choice but I also like the UnderthehoodieBella you used on the 2nd card. For me I may have to get KittyBella. Great job on both of these fun cards.

    I love your Lattebella card!! Those *are* great colors! I think that would be a lovely Birthday card. Along with the “Take a break” maybe add “celebrate life and enjoy your birthday”. If you wanted to have another choice, howabout Fashionistabella – pretty darn cute! Whatever you come up with, I am quite sure your mom will love it 🙂

    Well, since she curls her hair, wears bunny slippers, and drinks coffee – you must use Grumpabella – just change Grumpbella’s frown into a smile! I’ve been trying to think of a sentiment, but creative juices aren’t flowing this afternoon. I always have trouble coming up with the perfect idea for our family members.     Hi Lauren – first of all, just wanted to say that your blog is AWESOME! Found you via Papertrey and I check your blog regularly for fab ideas. You’re one talented artist!! My vote for Bella would be the Bikahbabeabella. It could say something like another year, another adventure. I don’t know about you but the older my Mom gets the bolder she is in her choices of activities (nothing weird) but last year at age 64, she decided to become a professional clown. Wonder if they’d ever make a clown bella!

    Love your cards….I think your Mom would love a card with the ohsopretty bella. You always say you and mom wear makeup everyday and do your hair….I think that would make her feel oh so pretty!!!
    By the way, maybe you should keep a basket right on your desk with some of your pretty papers…..this way you will reach for them more often. I am the same way with paper and ribbon too. But the closer to me they are….the more I grab for it. Just thought I’d share.

    I know it sounds funny, but I am a Grumpabella FREAK — I just love the way she is so “under-impressed” — if mom is NOT into birthdays, this is the one. She also has on the bunny slippers…

    I like flowahbella and curly surprizeabella, as both have curly hair, and are not so OVERTLY birthday ;^)* I like the idea of pairing images and sentiments that show your own intelligence, and cleaverness… so the cupcake bellas seem a little predictable

    That’s so FUNNY because *I* say this ALL the time! Especially when I am late with family birthday cards or give a gift without a card! UGH!

    I think you should do “underthehoodybella” and mask it so that it is you AND your Mom together getting pampered. That would be cool. Also represent that no matter what age, you can enjoy that together, KWIM?

    It would be cool to do it in retro – turqouise/pink/black colors.

    Hmmm….
    I think the Flowahbella or Gardenbella as my first choices. My second choice would be the Parisbella (?). I don’t know why but it seems to fit from the pictures I’ve seen of her.

    Just got back from vacation this evening…lots of “togetherness” with the kids and all…so I *totally* appreciate that “see any kids here? Nope!” part of your post, LOL!! 🙂

    I really like the Bella with heart balloons… She’s ready for a birthday party and the heart indicate love. The cupcake bella is cute too!!! Heck they’re all cute…but I still say heart balloons…that’s my story and I’m sticking to it!!!

    I actually love your Take a break card! You could put something inside like take a break from doing for everyone else and make the day all her own! Love those cut out circles. Love the corner sentiment in the second card too, Terrific coloring on both, and Great paper, I see why you had to get it 🙂
    I did like the Bella with the robe and slippers except she has a grumpy face….whatever you do will be great!

     I love your Underthehoodiebella for your mom — it has the bunny slippers, has the coffee, shows how much time and prep. she puts into herself to get ready for everyday, etc. I also like the pink — she sounds like a pink person to me. All of your cards are beautiful though! TFS!

     Why not use Prezzibella or Billboardabella with a “worth the wait” or “the birthday that keeps giving” sentiment?
     Whatever you choose, I’m sure it will be wonderful!! She’s your mom – you KNOW she’ll love whatever you choose!

     I hear you on the hair. I have long hair. About 5 years ago I decided I wanted to bob it – between shoulder and chin. I ended up with hair that was about an INCH long all over my head. I am not exaggerating. AN INCH!! It was horrible. I cried for days. Now I have a gal who is the PERFECT hairdresser! She always cuts it the way I want. Never takes off too much. Styles it beautifully – like how I wish I could get it everyday. I will never let anybody else cut my hair. I’ve heard of people traveling far away for a haircut. That would be me if either one of us ever moves.

     Hi, I have been away and just read your plight for help about your spell check, I had this problem not so long ago, I did nothing it just disapeared, I could not spell check in Word or Outlook Exp. I reinstalled word after uninstalling it and not it is back. If you need more info on how to uninstall let me know.
