ACK!!! It’s the 30th ALREADY?
OMW! I really need to kick it into high gear, and get my NEW Release peeks done! So many ideas, so little time. I have a few things done, just not all of it. Today is THE day to get it finished. You don’t realize how much NOT stamping for a week can set you back.
I found a couple goodies on my shopping excursion-more to come! You can all be proud of yourselves-I talked with one of the workers at Stamping Memories and she is WAY sold out of the Paper Garden books-and then some. I need to start charging advertising fee’s or something-or heck get a commision! Maybe even a credit! LOL!
I would LOVE to see what you do with your books/punches when you get them! Shoot me a link or an email.
Speaking of books I got another new book!! Oh wait till you see what I do with that 😀 There’s and added goodie to this one. SO EXCITING!!!
My mom’s b-day is the 8th so I have to get my hiney in gear for her gift, and I haven’t found the stuff I want to make the Wedding invites for my Aunt to be :C BLAH!!!!
Now onto the card for today-
I had to create another card with my (Amber) Lily set (the Billy set is on sale today!! and goin in my cart).
This is just like my little Queen. Adding all her little accessories is REALLY easy! Im quite impressed. Its like a super cool version of Paper Dolls. Please tell me you know what those are! LOL!
This is a “butterfly fairy princess”-per Amber’s request. I used the SU! Rub-on’s along the side, adding punched flowers for dimension. I then tied on the acetate tag, that is stamped with a set from SU! saying Queen for a day.
Now if YOU were Queen for a day-what would you do?
I would :
1) Sleep in past 8am
2) Have some home-made waffles with raspberry caramel sauce (from tastefully simple), and my steamin hot cup of coffee, IN SILENCE!
3) Have a shopping spree
4) Oh and get a massage, and pedicure.
5) Have a nice date with my hubby, followed by #6
6) Take the kids to see the light parade at night-like we saw at Disney world (if you go there this is a MUST see)
See nothing out of reach right? Love to hear your idea of a perfect day fit for a queen!
Well thanks for checkin in. I got to get inking. I hope to check in later with a peek at another C.C. Designs set 😀
Till then
Lauren

That card is adorable. I think you need to start getting a commission from the stamp store. 🙂 To be Queen for a day should definitely include: 1) sleeping in (2) no fighting from the kids or cats (3) stamping to my hearts content.
According to my DH I am Queen for a Day, everyday! 🙂 Have a good day. Cant wait to see that new stuff! -Molly B
Love how the wings are stamped in a lighter color. Such a great touch will all the flowers and bling!!
Queen for the day???
Sleeping in.. (what’s that?) & Getting pampered (mani & pedi & massage) & a uninterrupted day for me to stamp and blare my music!! and of course a little shopping 😉
Happy Birthday to your Mom! My Mom’s BD is on the SAME day! Wow! I just wanted to say ‘Hi!’ since I just found out yesterday, at Stamping Memories, that you live just around the ‘corner’ from me… I live in the same town as Mary A. :o)
So….. I would go SHOPPING with DH & DS, would go for a pedicure, and at the end I would go and see the light-show… or just stay home and STAMP all day! :o)
Love the card… great girly colors… love the sparkle, the punched out flowers, the rub-ons… TFS!
I need to stop reading your blog (yeah right!), because in the past two days, I purchased Lily AND Billy, AND I’m DYING for that CC set that you featured yesterday! LOL Awesome card!
Great card Lauren! I am going to head on over to order the “billy” set as soon as I am done typing! My boys will love it!
I definitley think you should get some perks for “advertising” for stores and product! I’m sure that Michael’s would never have sold so many Bride’s flower confetti, had you not shown them on here! I would have never known about the “billy” set, not to mention tons of other stuff that I have purchased because of your blog! I will have to start adding a little note when I order online about hearing about their stuff from you, and maybe they will at least send you some free stamps!
Lauren,
Cute card! I love the colors you chose. Makes me wish for spring. I think you already have #3 covered on your queen for a day list! =) How many days a week to you go shopping already? Try not to get too caught up with things. They don’t last and soon the excitement ends and you feel like you have to buy more. It’s a vicious cycle. Trust me I am a recovering shop-a-holic. We’re not here for our own selfish ends. We are here for something bigger than us. We just get in the way all the time. Just try to remember why you’re really here! God bless.
Like Molly B’s comment above – I’m pretty much “queen” in my house every day! Love Amber (Lily) with wings! Too cute!
I love that set too. I love the card. The wings are fabulous. Here is what I would do:
1) Ask for money
2) Have my family closer
3) go shopping spree for stamps
4) Hire a personal trainer
5) A new car
Can’t wait to see the new c.c. designs.
Oh my she is soooo cute. This card is sweet!
Queen for a Day? Then I would
1) Stay in my pajamas all day
2) Not answer the phone all day
3) Just stamp and make cards
4) Have ice cream for breakfast, lunch & dinner (3 different flavors of course)
What a gorgeous card Lauren!! So pretty and feminime!
Lauren – SUPER cute card 🙂 I really adore that set…I’ve checked out their stamps before, and had a cart full, but actually showed restraint, can you believe?
Queen for a day – I like your plan…except for breakfast, I’d prefer scrambled eggs, toast, and a little extra crispy bacon…mmmm otherwise, it all fits 🙂 Hope you have a great Sunday – I’m actually heading out Shopping a little later! ALONE…Nick doesn’t know that yet, but he will soon…

Adorable!
Thanks for the enabling. I am definitely going to have to get Billy. He is so gosh darn cut and all the characters my sons like to pretend they are.
Your card is so cute. Lily is such a cute little stamp. I might have to eventually get that one too.
Queen for a day huh?
Well after extreme thought of this I would have to say:
1. Sleep in til 12.
2. meet for lunch with my stamping sistahs
3. do some stamp shopping
4. have a nice family dinner
5. go into my studio and stamp
6. go on a date with my hubby!
Your card is awesome as always!!!!
gorgeus card- that set is calling to me more and more for my 2 girls…
hmm, Queen for a day
– stamp all day with mojo in place and full steam ahead
-have an endless cup of steaming tea made just the way I like it and the temperature never gets too cool
-have buffalo chicken sandwhich with fries and not worry bout calories
-have a great family day with no bickering between the 2 kids
-have an awesome date night with hubby with lots of laughs
I love this card, absolutely adorable! The set does look like your little Amber:) I’ll have to check out the Billy one for my son.
Queen for a day…
* Wake up time after 6:30am, please!
* Drink my coffee HOT!
* Get big hugs and kisses from my son and husband before they…
* Have a nice day together while mom stamps all day in peace and quiet.
* End the day with a cozy evening with my husband.

Lauren,
I just want to thank you for blogging about the Paper Garden book you bought from my store. Foral punch art is one of our specialties at Stamping Memories and we love introducing new people to it. Bette, our class coordinator, has taught classes in this popular art form for years but now, through the wonder of blogging, even more people are discovering it. Several of your readers have purchased books from us along with other punch art related products. I have even had to increase my ordering to keep up with the demand! Thanks again and keep up the great work.

Love the cute card. Wings are amazing and shiny, love the bling on crown and all the other wonderful details you always include! Ahhh….to be queen for day…..would love to be able to ski for a day — skied for 25 years before I had kids and haven’t skied since I had them (10 years now!!). My equipment is so old, they won’t service it so I think I would also want new skis and boots etc. Then I’d hit the hot tub or sauna, get a massage and then enjoy a wonderful relaxing dinner and then read in bed. That’s my selfish all about me day. The other mix would be sleeping in, having about six hours straight to stamp (takes a while for the creative juices to get going with me), then hae a wonderful dinner with DH and the kids, play some games, put the kids to bed and enjoy the rest of the evening chatting with my DH.
She is just too cute, love her crown and sparkle wings. Love the flow of the flowers!
If I were Queen for a day, I really don’t know….I guess if money was no option I would go shopping!
Love the fact that your link to T.S. goes to Tracey!!!!
Hurrah — you’re a FRIEND! No pretend about it.
GORGEOUS princess card. I LOVE all that pink and this is the first time I’ve seen an acetate tag…awesome thinking!
3 hours?????? I’m glad it wasn’t me because my time is just as important as the doctor’s. In fact, I had a medical doctor that was always overbooking and one day I just snapped and gave them both barrels; the doctor and and her receptionis…she increased my anti-depressant, LOL. I left her also.
I hope you’re feeling like yourself again today, and TFS.
P.S. Of course I know what paper dolls are!
Always a special treat from my dad.
My cousin(about 15 years older) had paper dolls cut out from Simplicity and McCall’s pattern books. She passed them on to me. I’d write the names and ages on the back of these dolls and have huge families all set up (as an only child, none of “my” familes had less than 3 children).
Princess Amber is TOO CUTE! Love those glittery wings, and her butterfly wand!
You just make the cutest things, I can only imagine what you could do if you didn’t have all the OTHER things to do that you do!!!!
I pretty much get to do what I want every day, thanks to having my boys raised, and not having to work…so I am very blessed. If I were granted special powers though, I’d ask for a day with no pain in my knees!!! That would be miraculous! 😀
OMGoodness that Princess Amber set is just too cute! Of course, you have a great inspiration for Miss Princess Butterfly. 😉
What would I do if I were Queen for a Day? Hmmm…I think I already am! I don’t do laundry, I don’t do grocery shopping, I don’t schlep the kids during the day, I get to sleep late on Sundays (usually), so I guess that makes me pretty spoiled, huh? But a massage and a mani/pedi would be nice. Oh and getting to buy all the stamps and stuff I wanted would be nice too!
A queen for a day:
1. Stay in bed past 8am without kids jumping on the bed or poking at me
2. Have pancakes, sausage, bacon, and over easy eggs without having to make them myself and ofcourse without having to clean up the mess
3. Go shopping without having to keep tabs on my checking account
4. Stamp, Stamp, and Stamp some more
5. Have dinner served to me, again without me making it or cleaning up the mess.
6. Go to bed early (since ofcurse I wouldn’t have to do house chores first).
Your card is so cute and sweet too! I love the sparkly wings, blinged out crown & flowers, and cute tag!
My list could go on and on…but it would be nice to have a date with my DH. It’s been a very long time.
I am so excited. I am on vacation in Florida right now and I just happened to watch the light parade Spectro Magic last night at Disney with my family a wow was it amazing!! you were completely right!! We are going to animal kingdom today. Can’t wait! I just ad to share my excitement with you!!!
I’m really loving this Amber/Lily set – it’s just too cute!
I guess I already ‘feel’ like a queen in my house BUT… If I was queen for the day…..
—> I’d fly all my PSF’s (especially you) to one place and stamp, talk, and have fun with them all day long! Wouldn’t that be a hoot? 🙂
Wow Lauren! I am so far behind on my blog reading. This card is too adorable! I ran right over to pink cat studios and ordered the Billy set and dress up Lily. I even emailed Melissa to ask for a dress up Billy set and she said that one is in the works. How fun?
Let’s see if I was queen for a day, I’d like
1. To get more than 4 hours of consecutive sleep.
2. Chocolate chip pancakes with milk for breakfast.
3. Stamp for a few hours.
4. Go out with hubby for a nice dinner.
5. Snuggle with my little guy during a non-cranky period. 🙂
