How sweet was this?

Someone sent me this package of awesome goodies 😀 Was it you?

I saved the address on the envy-to send a card to, but I ahve no idea WHO it was. They obviously know I love butterflies and flowers. The ribbon is gorgeous.

So thank you so much!!!

Happy Holidays!

PS I will be back to post the sketch asap.

Well wouldn’t ya know its Friday already! The countdown continue’s.

I don’t know why I said “already” because this week has been in REWIND!

Maybe its just me?

Anyway-I was “snowed in” yesterday, and pray to God I get to shop tonight-ALONE. Any time BEFORE Saturday. I need to be DONE. Seriously. It will also depend if I get my money in the mail today. Lets all cross our finger’s OK! Could come tomorrow-which is usually AFTER my bank closes-GRRRRRRRR!

So, I told you I had some fabulous Bella card’s right?

Well, you know I am not a liar. I have been so motivated and hard at “work”. This week’s blogger’s challenge was to do interactive cards-cards that move, or shake or “something”.

Wouldn’t you know, I just happened to have Cupcakeabellahere-all uninked, and ready for the challenge!

I’ll take a CUPCAKE WITH SPRINKLES, please.

mytime-cupcake-sprinkles.jpg

Here it is! My shaker card! I haven’t done one of those in YEARS!

Inside are pastel beads from SU! They are suppose to be like the “sprinkles” on a cupcake-or heck, even confetti. Whatever you want. I also added glitter on the cupcake (of course!!!).

Here is a close up view

shaker1.jpg

I used the mini cupcake from Icing on the cake-perfect match don’t you think?

Circle of Friendship by SU!-for sentiment layered over cupcake.

AND……..Happy Birthday sentiment from Simply Sentiments

So I guess you could say a collection of images from my favorite places 😀 Don’t you love when you can combine images from many places to come up with one great result? I know I do.

The paper is by Me & My Big Ideas. I got it at Michaels. It inspired my colors, and the circles were repeated from her dress 😀

Here is the open view-click to enlarge. It is held closed by Basic Grey magnetic closures. I LOVE those things! I think it was Cambria (??) that came up with this card unique fold style-I have NO CLUE what its called, but it is definitely FUN! If you know let us know in the comments section 😀

I will stamp an appropriate sentiment inside, if I ever give it away!

mytime-card-open.jpg

Next up from last week was suppose to be sympathy cards. YUCK! I hate doing those. Probably why I “got busy” and didnt get to it.

So I decided to do a card, inspired by a touching cause.

A few months ago a woman named Amy-emailed me about a card I did. She “Googled” butterfly card, and found my blog.

We “chatted” online, and when she told me the card was for a child who passed away from Cancer, I lost it! She had no idea about my story, till she read on, after my response to her.

Anyway-Fate of sorts, I guess.

This card is important, because it was designed after the “symbol” for an organization, Amy shared with me, called Band of Parents. A place founded by parents of children with a rare and deadly form of Cancer called Neuroblastoma. Money from items sold, goes towards research to find a cure.

Please check it out. It will not only teach you something new, it will, if anything make you THANKFUL for what you do have, even if very little-the people in your life, and hopefully your/their health.

This is a perfect time of year when I think we all get tied up in the drama of buying and running ragged, we may forget what is REALLY important.

I know it made me much more thankful for the type of prognosis Alexa has, in comparison. To hear you will DEFINITELY lose your child, is a pain I hope to NEVER experience. My heart and prayers go out to those families.

I have been thinking of a way to help make a difference, with their fight. The wheels still turn.

But here is my card-with a message of hope.

mytime-band-of-parents-inspired.jpg

The stamps used are:

Tree/leaves-Family Leaves promotion by Inique Boutique. I won the set months ago! First time using it.

The sentiments are by CTMH stamps. Unsure of the name. If you know let me know!

So thats all for today.

Enough huh? That last part has me all emotionally drained! LOL!

Stay tuned tomorrow for my Saturday Sketch! I know the holiday is drawing near, so everyone’s time is limited. But I will post it anyway.

I also have more Bella cards 😀 I’m on a kick with them I tell ya!

Stay safe-and stay stamping 😀

Daisy Days- a snow story

Dec 20, 2007 Author: mytime | Filed under: Smilebox Creations, Uncategorized

watching-the-snowplows.jpg Watching the snowplow

OK more dog stories!

You don’t have to read it-but I’m sharing them anyway 😀 I have now convinced several neighbors (including, but not limited to the Fed-Ex guy,and the mailman)that they really NEED a Cockapoo! Or should I say Daisy has! LOL!

She is the best, happiest, sweetest thing on 4 paws. The best Christmas gift I ALMOST never got!  I will have to get some photos of her and the cats. She is so good with them. They are in shock still, I think.

I made a Smilebox of Daisy, and what she does in the snow. Its just so funny. She even chases the shovel. Loves watching the plow. She is fearless. She is also very dis-tractable.

She literally DIVES in the snow, head first, and makes a path! She then gets full of “snowballs” on her fur, which she then eats when she gets in the house. I try to towel dry her, but I think she likes that process.

She loves the snow! Right now its WAY over her head!

Someone asked about our Christmas tree-and Daisy’s behavior. I learned there will be NO presents under our tree this year, as that is her top secret hiding place to go potty :C

I had removed the lower ornaments, but there is nothing I can do about that other stuff. Who can blame her right? Would you want to stick your hiney in a snowbank?

Who can resist that face? She is just a bundle of fur baby love!

You have to see it

One more photo!!

daisy-is-happy.jpg

My sweet friend Bonnie, sent Daisy a few treats!! Look at that candy cane. raw hide bone! It is bigger than she is. She has to DRAG it across the floor to move it. She loves it, and sits there for hours-gnawing away!

Thanks Bonnie 😀 She loves the 3 rope chew toys to. The kids play tug of war with her (which I do discourage), but she loves it.

Till tomorrow

Couple of Dirty Penguins

Dec 20, 2007 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards

mytime-couple-of-penguins-side-r.jpg

Here comes the bird, here comes the bird-

la, da,dee, dum-dum, here comes the bird.

I made this for our new monthly Dirty Girls challenge, which will post the 20th of every month!Hence the “dirty” part! LOL! It was to use penguins-with “ice”, NO BLUE!! WOWZERS!!! That was hard.

You will be able to view ALL the Dirty Girl challenge cards by going to the SCS gallery, and entering the Keyword DCP1207.

Do you not LOVE, my love “birds” LOL! They are 2 penguins from the set Little Penguins by C.C. Designs.

The very first instant I saw the “boy” and “girl”, and that they could face each other I thought “Oh how cute!!! A Bride and Groom set”

Sometimes my epiphany doesn’t always make it to paper, but it did this time.

The challenge was made MUCH easier, by downloading and printing my paper from MFT Holiday Collection (in pink). If you haven’t done it, its REALLY easy, and fast. Doesn’t use a ton of ink either! Go figure.

I printed the stripes on one side, and snowflakes on the other! VIOLA!! Double sided cardstock. Stripes on the front, and pink snowflakes inside.

It really helped me focus on a winter “love” theme, without using ANY blue! They are sitting on pink “ice”! LOL!

I used my circle nestabilities for the penguin layer.

I stamped/colored her twice. Her head is cut out and on dimensionals. I out some Polka Dot white May Arts ribbon for her “veil”.

Aren’t they SO sweet?

Thanks for looking! I hope you check out what all the girls did with their penguins.

Till tomorrow-blogger’s challenge-x2! I need to amke up for last week.

Another Banner

Dec 19, 2007 Author: mytime | Filed under: Uncategorized

Another banner! Cool huh?

One of my PSF’s (blogland reader)Sara Henton emailed me this banner! Thanks girl!!

She combined my favorite flower and love for butterflies! How sweet was that?

So what do you think of this one. Pretty cool huh?

Sorry no stamp candy today-Im workin on it!! Im in the “zone” and really can’t stop-I’m sure you won’t mind.

I got some Bella cards that are gonna knock you off your seat-I swear! LOL!

Yes I am patting myself on the back-cause they are really CUTE!

I do have a post ready to go tonight after midnight-for a Dirty Challenge!!!! Its do not miss 😀 It has my winter butterfly………..that is the only hint I will give you.

Till then 😀

What do you think?? Did you notice?

Dec 18, 2007 Author: mytime | Filed under: Uncategorized

I changed my banner! It was time for a change 😀

You know how I LOVE butterflies. Well,I found the perfect photo, then spent FOREVER trying to edit, and layer on my Blog name! I am SO computer challenged! Its a MIRACLE.

I think it goes well with my blog base, since my colors have to be gray and blue.

I have a tulip one, ready for spring too! No blue, but Tulips are my most favorite flower-ever! No idea why-they just are!

Thanks for leaving your opinion 😀

AND-Thanks for looking!

Just “A” note…… monogram gift set, and Daisy doodles.

Dec 18, 2007 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards

Well hello again. Hope you are keeping warm, and getting your last minute stuff done. I am working like a mad woman over here. A lot I can’t share yet-New Release! samples you know!!! YEAH!! LOVE new stuff.

Speaking of new things………..

My mom asked me to make her a Monogram cards set for the inital “A”. It will be a gift, so I hope she likes this!!!

I mentioned on a post a few weeks ago, for my “G” is for gratitude set, that you could have fun making sets using a person’s inital. This is just like that idea.

She wanted pink, and brown. So I came up with this set of 8 cards/envy’s, tied together and notecard holder. The cards easily fit inside. The holder is an unusal shape, and the front tapers forward.

Finished size-Front 4 ” across- Back 4 1/2 ” across. You will have to trim the bottom.

1 ” wide, and then 5 1/2 ” tall.

PURE greatness-I think.

choice-photo-mono-set-a.jpg

Since the initial was “A” I thought I’d have some fun with it. She needed all occasion monograms, so I thought this would be perfect. Just “A” note!! Wtih the “A” being a pretty script-its POP’s out at you.

The cards measure 3 3/4 X 4 3/4.

I used Papertrey Ink’s Ambassador monogram for the “A”.

Beautiful Blooms-for the box leaves, and flowers.

Paper Tray words for the “Just” and “note”.

Borders and Corners circle for the tab closure (held closed by Basic Grey magnets)

I spritzed with my color spritzer, and chocolate chip marker. Ribbon is by Martha Stewart, and is sooooooo pretty tied around the gift set.

mono-a-holder-side-open.jpg

Here is the “open” view, with cards/envy’s inside.

Now I know you most likely want ot know HOW to make this? Am I right?

monogram-note-holder-375-x-475-size-cards.JPG Click for larger view. Where it is X’ed you will cut away.

Well here you go! Let me kow what you all think.

Cardstock should be 12 X 9 . You may alter the measurements as you please.

Using your Scor-Pal score along the 12 inch side at

4 1/2, 5 1/2, 9 1/2, 10 1/2

Along the  8 inch side score at

1, 6 1/2, and  7 1/2.

The wider side is where your flap closure will be.

Hope that helps someone out there, get a quick gift set done. Just because its fast and easy doesn’t mean its any LESS thoughtful!

Plus I find people perfer SIMPLE over complex most of the time.

The entire set took me 45 minutes to do. Now that is with designing the ENTIRE project! I also kept my stamping simple, and clean-so that helps.

I have been getting my mojo back since Daisy has come home to stay. She comes to stamp with me now 😀

daisy-stamping.jpg Here she is in my stamp room, waiting for me to drop ANYTHING she can quickly chomp to bits.

She is doing SO good! I could NOT be any luckier. For a first dog, especially! I would definitely get another Cockapoo! She is SO SMART.

She  is also pretty much house trained now-even at night 😀 She will wimper to get me up, and go out. Last night was FREEZING, so I actually prayed she would just perfer to pee on the floor! LOL! But no go. 3:30 am, I am out freezing my buns off. She then perfer’s to chase a leaf, or eat a clump of snow! SERIOUSLY!

When its bedtime, she just goes right to her doggy bed-in a corner, where she can see out bed from where she sleeps. She is just so sweet.

My cats even like her! She just lays low, till they come to her. Her little butt wiggles with excitement, hoping they will “play” with her. Poor thing is clueless that they could not be bothered. Except our “dog-cat” named Lily. She is a cat who always acted like a dog. She just likes to taunt her, then jumps on a counter, or over the gate.

I promised a photo of her in her NEW! Sweater-Click to enlarge

Its a tan, with pink Argyle print-way cute.

daisy-new-sweater-and-tag.jpg She also has a new name tag! Sweet huh?

daisy-heaven.jpg This is her in her comfy bed. She also has a blanket, and she will pull it on herself. Is that not hilarious?

daisy-gets-a-little-boost.jpg She loves to sit on the kids step stool. I think it makes her feel “powerful”! LOL!

daisy-mopping.jpg A good excuse to NOT mop the floor! Due to winter snow tracking in the house I have to mop several times a day. EVERY time, she hops on for a ride. Its really funny.

OK CRAZY DOG GIRL MOMENT OVER!

Sorry-Im most likely boring you to shreds. I am just having so much fun with her. I love her to pieces-can ya tell?

OK I’m back to go stamp some stuff.

Check in tomorrow. More eye candy.

On the 20th the Dirty girls-past and present, will all be posting cards like last month for a challenge! We are going to make it a monthly thing! Pretty cool huh? Wait till you see my CUTE card 😀 I am so giddy over it.

OK Im off………………

Yummy Treat quick bag

Dec 17, 2007 Author: mytime | Filed under: Home decor/3-D items

mytime-acwp-gingerbag.jpg

This was a super-dee-duper QUICK -bag cover I did in the morning, cause I forgot a group of secretaries that I wanted to give yummy treats to. I was WAY short on time, so it was perfect. Once filled I just stapled shut. Nothing fancy.

It took like 7 minutes-only because of the cutting and coloring. Not everything can be over the top KWIM?

The set is Holiday Treats by ACWP. I really love the cookies and whatnot in that particular set.

They are now having a pre-order—–> HERE, on 3 new Valentine themed sets. I don’t have mine yet, but when I do, watchout! LOL!

OK I gotta run. I’m whipping up so cool stuff to share so stay tuned 😀

Well here is Amber’s Smilebox of her Dance Recital.

She looked SO CUTE!!! She had on a Santa apron, and a matching hair clip.

She did a great job. I was SO SO PROUD! I thought it was the most adorable thing I had ever seen. All the little girls dancing for everyone. The residents seemed to really enjoy it as well.

She is shy, so seeing her dance for everyone was adorable. She got distracted seeing us, and got a little behind, but she kept going. Now I cannot wait for the big one at the end of the year.

Did I say I was so proud? LOL!

I am SERIOUSLY bummed that I cannot get the video to load :C I have no idea why its still not working, when it has in the past.

I really hope to find a way to share it-cause it really is a must see.

OK my bragging mommy moment is over. But seriously-how adorable is she?

Hope you can view the Smilebox ok.

I have lots to do today, so I’m off and running. I did get some cool stuff done yesterday! So stay tuned.

Oh the weather outside is frightful…….

Dec 16, 2007 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards

But my snowmen card is delightful, so as long as you think soooooooo, let me know, let me know, let me know!

(That sung to the tune of Let it Snow)

mytime-many-merry-snowmen.jpg

OBVIOUSLY this photo was taken before we had snow! I made this weeks ago, for a submission, but sadly it was rejected :C At least I think it was, cause I heard NOTHING. I should have heard by the 12th-unless they are running “late”, which I doubt, then its a loser.

Their LOSS, cause I think its just the cutest thing EVER! My layout ROCKS! Yes, it does. I am really learning that rejection is OK. There are only so many spaces, and so many amazing submissions. Plus I try to learn from it.

My card doesn’t stink at all. I think its totally publishing worthy 😀 So “I” published it HERE-myself. More people probably notice here on my blog than anywhere else, anyway.

I used the Simply Singles Snowmen, on this card. I think they are just SO cute. I paper is Holiday Swatches by Paper Salon. The snowflake retired SU! punch. I used the snowflakes embossing folder on my main layer.

We have gotten quite the snow storm. Daisy does not like to go outside to do her “business”, but rather nose dive into the heaps of snow, and slide around. Cute during the day, but at 3:30 am, not cute. She is so funny. We are starting to get a “routine”, so life is getting more normal again. She “stamped” with me today. She really enjoyed secretly chewing on the sides of my Stampin Up! cases.

SO much to do this week! Its kids parties, finishing up shopping, wrapping, baking, planning-oh boy! You too, I’m sure.

Anyway, I think I am going to have a hard time switching gears towards Valentines day, when I have been in such a Christmas mood! I can’t believe it’s almost here. I will be so sad when its over. Its been a great year for me getting in the spirit.

I already have been thinking about my New Year goals. I expect great things for this new year. I guess its good to start out optimistic.

I always make a goal list, and I am so happy to say I have gone way above and beyond my own expectations this past year!

Most importantly though I think, is that Alexa has done fabulous in school, and has not gotten too sick 😀 Thank God! She is making real friends, and loving school. I am just so proud of her.

OK I’m going to relax. I hope to share more tomorrow, and photograph what I did today, as well as get Amber’s Smilebox done.

So till then…………….
