Awww! What sweet memories!!! I remember most of our Halloween costumes as a kid were designed to go over our snowsuits! It was COLD up in northern Michigan (lower peninsula) and we lived in the sticks, so Dad would drive us around all night. We covered about 20 square miles to amass our bags of candy. I know I was a tiger once and my bro was a lion. We had these costumes made to go over our snowsuits so we didn’t freeze to death. The tails ALWAYS ripped off before the end of the evening!!!

Halloween traditions - almost forgot. Adults drink whitch’s brew. Not sure what all is in it, but I could never balance myself on a broom stick after drinking it.

And this year for Halloween, we’ll see if the kids will pick something. If they are just “whatever”, they’ll be Thing 1 and Thing 2 and I’ll be the Cat in the HAt.

Hey Lauren…

First, I’m glad to hear you finally got your Papertrey stuff…I got mine yesterday too, and thought of you

I ADORE the pictures of Alexa and you as cats, and I agree, the stamp looks like her, but not quite as cute! fabulous card!!!

Halloween…ok, so I’m kind of weird. As a kid, I didn’t really like getting dressed up and trick or treating…I did like the candy of course, but I dunno…I’ve got some weird neuroses about people in costumes (I’ve gotten better with characters at Disney and stuff since having Shannon, but I really don’t like them) BUT– I LOOOVE to decorate for the holiday. My house is all lit up on Halloween, I’ve got these cool jack o’ lantern cauldrons with those fake flames (the silk with the orange lights and fans) that hang on my front porch, a fog machine, all sorts of fun, not gory, decorations…my brother wanted me to turn my back yard into a cemetary (the back of my property also faces another road, and doesn’t look like it belongs to my house) but we haven’t had time in the past to do that one yet, we’ll see this year…but that’s my fun for Halloween.

The card is co cute!!! But I really like the pictures of Alexa and you as cats SOOOO much more!!! I love seeing you creations, but also really enjoy hearing your stories and seeing pictures of your children also!!! You have such a beautiful family and are a fantastic mom!!! Keep up the awesome work with your cards and being a mom!!!
