Too Terrific Tags, Alphabet Soup and Key Tag punch could be yours!
WOW This post will be long! Im in a chatty mood and have tons to dish about. But thats what is great about a blog, I CAN! And, if you dont wanna read my babble you really dont HAVE to, you can skim over the the good stuff.
I originally planned on 2 other cards to showcase today (that will be tomorrow) and decided to show these instead because it went with my Mytime Mail idea.
So, I spent HOURS going through all my alterable and crap-FUN! FUN! BUT, now its all organized, so I feel SO good. Plus Jason is happy. I had NO idea how much alterable stuff and extra other things I truly had. No wonder I had no room! 😀 Sad part I always want different alterable stuff-EEEEK! True sickness over here. I have SO much to get rid of but cant just toss it cause its definitely GOOD stuff. But who needs 20 memo cubes, and 12 bandaid tins? Or like 40 tiny “tooth fairy” tins? I guess I thought I did! Not to mention 2 HUGE bags of FLAT large marbles, Large Brown box CD Sotorage boxes (at Target years ago), Mini Maint cans (8) 2 boxes of marble tiles. OMW-what else???? The list just goes on. You get my point.
BUT, I fit it all nie and neat in the 2 jumbo drawer storage bin on wheels at Target $14.95!
There is a little overflow of Bloomin boxes and Petal card packets and stuff that I hope to MYTIME MAIL here. SO stay tuned-and if you need anything-LET ME KNOW!
Anyway-due to my cleaning spree YOU will gain from what I am losing.
Just reply to this post-your favorite thing about summertime. I will share mine tomorrow.
I will pick a Random winner on Friday morning!
Now we have taken care of the blog stuff, time for the eye candy-
You can see a WAY CUTE card I did HERE. Its by Green Grass Stamps.
Dont forget to reply and tell her you LOVE me! LOL! I want her to keep me around a while 😀 And check out whats coming up for stamps on her blog as well. Im dying to get the new sets.
QUICK NOTE: Copic Markers! If you want to jump on the band wagon you can get them from Kim HERE (under ink it up) or you can get them from Christine HERE AND GUESS WHAT??? You Stampin Up Addicts! You can get the SU! Color matched markers in ONE set HERE. Also Christine has the much popular scalloped punches IN STOCK. So RUN somewhere!
OK Sorry I got a tad bit excited. I own all this stuff so I know how amazing it is, and cant help but share the excitment. And yes the markers are pricey-but they are refillable! And glid across your paper. AMAZING! Make anyone a true coloring artist.
Down side-you do have to wait a little to have them arrive cause the makers are all backed-up. GEE I wonder why that is? (insert evil grin).
I love VERSATILITY! And I think these 2 cards I am going to share shows a little bit about how these images are versatile. Not versatile in a way, that they can have a funky cool new use- but they can lend themselves to very different looks! And I love that!
Ever get a set that you feel you can only do ONE thing with? I know I have. When I saw Shore Thoughts by Lizzie Anne I about fell over! I loved the combination of solid and open line images. Cause sometimes I wanna color, and sometimes I dont. Sometimes I want to try a cool technique that lends itself to one type of the other as well.
Anyway I LOVE this set! LOL!
So my card above-
I love the look. The shells were stamped on black cardstock with versamagic ink. I used a Caribbean color, pink color and celery type color. NOT evident by the photo but very striking in real life.
I punched a scalloped rectangle from vellum cardstock and layered it over my image so the shells peek through the negative space. Essentially highlighting them.
I was totally inspired by my ribbon from SEI-Groovy Collection.
By the sea
So here is this card, using the solid shell as well. When I created it I was truly thinking by the sea-hence the “ocean waves” in the bkgd. I inked them in Blue Bayou then applied my Martha glitter in a deep blue on the bottom, and a crystal white on the wave crests.
The scalloped top border was done to mimick the scallop top of a seashell.
My shell was embossed with silver powder. I colored it with various blue Twinkling H2O’s. I think this is so glittery yet elegant. I just love it all. Lots of texture, interest and dimension.
I will say I can’t NOT use Soft Sky with this set! LOL! I cant help it. Not only is it my favorite NEW color but its perfect. So I guess I should challenge myself in that way.

Wow, Lauren! Awesome stuff! Cards aren’t too bad either! 😉 My favorite thing about summer is watching my little cousins catch lightening bugs. They live in the Bay area of San Fransisco, so lightening bugs are something fun and exciting for them and it is ADORABLE watching them run all over the yard on the quest for those little bugs. Too cute! Thanks for offering up some goodies and sharing all of your organization tips-inspired me to organize my space too!
Linzy
It always feels to do a little cleaning and organizing. Your cards are so pretty! I like the ease of summer. That is, spending time in the garden, grilling food for dinner and making ice cream, the longer days and fewer schedules.
Great cards, Lauren! Glad you got some organizing done yesterday. I have my fair share to do, too! 😉 Don’t we all??? My favorite thing about the summer is probably laying on the beach and just enjoying the sun on my face and the feeling of the sand. I love it! I’m not a big get-in-the-ocean kind of person, but I LOVE the sand!!
Love the first seashell card!
My fav. thing about summertime… that’s hard to say. I would pick either guiltfree ice cream trips, because it’s so hot and humid here. Or, the summer rain. It’s nice to be inside watching it rain.
My fave thing about summer…ICE CREAM!!
Beautiful cards and great stuff! You’re really selling me on that Lizzie Anne set… you do so many wonderful things with it!
My favorite thing about summer is taking road trips! Whether they’re to B.C. or just to Jasper or Calgary, getting away from Edmonton for a weekend or a week is so much fun in the summer!!
A close second would be sitting on a patio with good friends (or my boyfriend), drinking a delicious beer and eating nachos!
Wow…. what an awesome mytime mail… 🙂 My favorite thing about summer is getting my hands dirty in my dirt, planting and working in my garden. It’s fabulous to watch things grow. I was very excited last evening.. I HAVE PEA’s.. YIPEE.. can I now be considered a gardner?
Hey Lauren, wanna come over and organize my stuff :o) I love the relaxed schedule of summer and wearing flip flops! And seeing the neighbours, you don’t see much of people during winter in Illinois.
Ruth A.
Glad to hear that you organized and were productive!
My favorite thing about summertime–my 1 week of vacation of course! I love to travel and see new places. When I travel– I completely leave the stress of life/work behind and do not even think about my life back home for one sec. I immerse myself in the new place and just focus on learning, exploring and eating !!
Hi Lauren! Love your blog and all the organizational tips. My favorite part of summer is the fruit! Cherries, watermelon, peaches yummy! We homeschool and I really love the “lazy” days of summer too.
Glad to hear you are all orginized. And you cards are beautiful of course.
My favorite thing about summer is I don’t have to wake up real early to get kids ready for school. I can actually sleep in some!! Then, just the fact that I get to spend everyday and all day with my kids. They always seem to learn and grow up so much during the summer. It is so hot here, but I also have to say I love going swimming. It is about the only enjoyable thing you can do outside in this heat.
Thanks for the chance to win those wonderful stamps and punch.
Fabulous cards Lauren!!! And YAY for you that you’re all organized, AND have a happy hubby! 🙂 Always a good combination.
My Favorite thing about Summertime??? I have a few. A more relaxed pace at work, heading to the beach and putting my feet in the sand, and my all time favorite (and you may think I’m weird) is the smell of Coppertone Sunblock. mmmmm. Brings me back to my childhood, and now that I slather it on Shannon every morning before camp, it’s like my own little piece of heaven…happy times…
I’m right there with you about having more stuff than you think! Congratulations on getting it all organized and still having time to stamp! I really enjoy your creations and look forward to reading your blog every day. My favorite thing about summertime is not having to wear “real” shoes! I hate shoes, except flip flops and I finally broke down and bought some Crocs ones, they are so comfortable! Maybe if I get those socks with toes I can wear them in the winter, too?? OK, maybe not 🙁
Congrats on the honorable mention; your card is gorgeous!
My favorite thing about summer is going out for ice cream after dinner. Mmmm…
These cards are wonderful, would have to say my favorite thing about summer time are the long, lazy days.
One of my favorite things about summer is the long days. I love having daylight until 9pm.
What amazing cards! You make me just love that set. I love the summer because you get to wear comfy shorts and t’s and get to spend way more time outside with the kids. I love having all the windows and doors open on the house too! It just gives it a fresh smell and feeling. Super stuff your giving away….TFS!
Tara
When I was a teacher I loved just being home. Now I am a SAHM and I love taking my daughter (1 year old) for walks around the lake, pushing her on the swing, and seeing her run through the grass. We love being outside. The only bad part is that she tries to eat things that she shouldn’t. Lately she tries eating rocks, sticks, my flowers, and yesterday an ant hill. Love your work!
I really enjoy reading your blog and your use of color in your projects.
My favorite thing about summer is having the time off from my day job teaching middle school. It allows me time to enjoy my friends and family and work on my crafty projects… 🙂
Awesome candy Lauren. I loved your cards on Nichole’s site this morning…since I finally got my chalk inks, look out for a CASE! Congrats on cleaning your room…I did the same recently and it does feel good!
What beautiful cards! And such fabulous treats! I hope i win:)
Hi there! One of my favorite things at summertime is midnight sun. I love the light nights!
I love, after a hot summer day, to sit on my deck and feel the night wind cool the air… lovliest feeling ever.
Love all your cards!! My favorite thing about summer is my garden!! Nothing better, we are already eating freah peas and potatoes!!
Growing up my favorite summertime treat was sleeping in. Now my favorite summertime treat are all the summer fruits. A ripe and not rotten summer fruit is a treasure to me. Especially since we don’t have easy access to fresh grown foods.
🙂
Love the cards!! Thanks for the chance at the goodies as well! 🙂
Love the cards. Those shells are beautiful. My favorite things would be wearing sandals and shorts. The warm of the sun on my face and having the house opened up with a warm summer breeze. Great goodies. Sounds like you got alot done! Good for you! Have a great day!
My favorite thing about summer are the longer days. And not having to put on a coat and boots just to go outside!
Hi Lauren!
Thanks for the chance to win awesome goodies!
I really like the polka dot ribbon on your 1st shell card…I’ll have to look for that.
My favorite thing about summer is warm breezes.
No sweaters, no gloves, no kneesocks…just nice warm breezes on my skin 🙂
My favorite thing about summer time is an easy one! I love the laid back, easy going time we get to have with our friends and family! One fun memory is that all the mom’s in my neighborhood would just get together on one person’s deck and while the kids played we’d drink ice tea (or sometimes long island ice tea) and chat. I just loved that time in my life!
Thanks for the opportunity to win some candy and I absolutely LOVE your blog!
Congrats on your PaperTrey card. It really is cute! I really wish I was stationed back home esspecially in the summer time. Tubing down the river is my most favorite activity. There’s just no place to go here.
Your blog and cards are awesome! I love the smells of summer, the fresh air, flowers, evening air, all of it.
Claudia
My favorite thing about summertime is not having to be on a schedule…. no one has to be at school or be picked up… not always in a rush!!
Beth
Beautiful seashell cards, Lauren!!
My favorite thing about summer is that my kids are truely all MINE! I do not have to share them with their teachers- I get them all to myself!! I love having day after day with them!
Thanks for the cute “Summer Favorites” contest; it’s fun reading what everyone else likes about this wonderful season.
Sarah
I think it’s great that you are all organized, and you have such wonderful organization ideas! I love the cute school days card too. I think you’ve done way more with the shore thing set that I would have been able to think of. I guess I don’t do many of this kind of card because it seems like a summertime card and I’m not a summertime gal…which brings me to my favorite thing about summertime and I’ve had to really dig hard to think of something because the sun and I do not get along….my favorite thing is the snow cone places are open everyday. I know, it’s lame but it’s all I could come up with!
Beautiful cards as usual! Let’s see, my fav thing about summer, air conditioning! I am a true Northerner when it comes to summer heat, hate it! In all fairness, I do like to swim in the pool and I do enjoy seeing the beautiful flowers. But the best thing is sitting on my front porch with my hubby, drinking margheritas and talking about life! Have a wonderful day!
My favorite thing about summer is definately all the sunshine and longer days!
Great blog candy! I LOVE your new room, it is awesome, what a lucky girl. My favorite thing about summer is the longer days and the warm weather. We are going to the beach later this summer and I can’t wait!!
Geny C. (aka Mommy Geny on SCS)
Lauren, beautiful cards: I just love the shell one with the blue bayou. I wouldn’t dare skim over your posts; I get energized reading your blog! My favorite thing about summertime is all the fresh produce. We went out to a farm yesterday and brought back fresh raspberries and the most amazing veggies, including purple cauliflower. Had it for dinner last night (very good!) Tonight a summer stew with fresh corn, green beans, green peppers and yellow squash. I’ve got a quick question for you: I am searching for brown and tan primas (assorted sizes). I am so overwhelmed by all the Prima sets out there; do you know what prima line might have these colors?
My favorite thing about summer is the sunshine and anything related to water. Awesome Blog Candy!
Pat
Great blog and of course I love your blog candy!! Keep up the great work. I love summer cause, we can enjoy the outdoors and don’t have to be cold, gardening and of course spending time with the family when hubby gets some time off. Oh and I love the smell of rain!
Great cards Lauren, my favorite is the second one. Nice and calming. Hey, I need to do a bit of housecleaning myself. I’ve got lots of extras laying around that I just had to get because I got such a good deal on. (if you know what I mean) But I guess they’re not really a bargain if you don’t use them and that’s what I have to get myself to understand. Have a great day. Hope all is well with your family.
Twila
My favorite thing about summer is my boys don’t have school. I get to be with them all day and we get to do a lot of swimming and around together. Our life is not so scheduled.
I saw the card that got honorable mention. BEAUTIFUL! I love your work!
Thanks!
Your cards are great Lauren and as soon as I post my message, I’m headed over to view the Copic markers and punches! What “I” like best about the summer is …I can sleep in…..yeah!!!!!!!!
Have a great day Lauren:)
My fav. thing about summer is going swimming in my parent’s pool. It is always so relaxing and I get to see all my family and eat great food! Excellent prize package you are giving away!
I love summer because my two oldest children are home from college and my high schooler doesn’t have school. I love to have my children around or coming and going so summer is the greatest.
I love spending time with my kids outsides exploring in the summer! I love it! today we went out to the backyard and we lay on the grass and just looked for ants! (I have boys! lol)
oh I saw you got a shout out at Capture the Moment! congrats!
Great mytime mail and I loved those cards. I resisted the enabling on the markers but I do want them some day.
My fav thing about summer is sitting on the deck at night with a bottle of wine and my fiance!
Great cards! I love the technique with the scallop edge on the second card and then you put the colds in it. That is very neat looking. I just might have to try it 🙂 Thanks for the chance at AWESOME! Candy.. 🙂 Great work.
Wow great stuff!! and I love the shell cards!! My favorite thing abotu summer is scallop season!! It runs from june till september and it is just like a big easter egg hunt for adults!! My family is all big into the boating scene so we just load up all the kiddos and go out and hunt for scallops. It can be a little scary readhing down into sea grass but if you loved hunting easter eggs as a kid you would love this!! Just being out int he water snorkling to me is fun!!
I live int he south so i pretty much love everythign about summer except the HEAT!!
Nice work!!
My favorite thing about summer time is being in the pool with my little one and going for ice cream in the evenings.
-Melissia
Thanks for all you post and do — very inspirational! I love the cards and tips and tricks and hints… now, where to find $200 for copic markers… hmmmm…..
I hope you pick me!
Ooops! I don’t mean for two entries — but I forgot — something I love about SUMMER — being home with my kids and being able to share so much time with them.
Great cards! My favorite thing about summer is that I can wear shorts and flipflops! 🙂
I’m a teacher so my favorite thing about summer is NO SCHOOL! I have free time most every day, all day to stamp, read or do whatever I want! Great blog candy and great blog!!

Love that shell set! I live at the beach so I really like that type of set.
My favorite thing about summer is that the GGKids get to come and spend time with me more often!
Hi Lauren,
Love your blog, and I’m getting lots of inspiration from your beautiful cards. My favourite part of summer is our Folk music Festival. It’s at the beginning of July and marks the true start of a relaxing, fun summer!
Lauren – You’ve outdone yourself! I love these cards – they are just gorgeous! Love the sparkle that you added to the waves. Keep this up and I may just get this set – tho I am sure I couldn’t do it justice! Thanks so much for the eye candy!
What do I love about summer – the uninhibited laugh of the kids splashing around in the sprinklers!
i love being lazy during the summer! thanks for the great blog candy!
emily
I love not having to rush around and get everyone ready so early every morning. Summertime mornings are calm and quiet.
My favorite thing about summer, are all the wonderful colors of flowers! I absolutely love color, and when all the flowers are in bloom and the grass is green, there is nothing better!!
Susan
The Sun!!! I love sunshine! I think it puts everyone in a better mood. I love wearing flip flops, and swimming, and watermellon & strawberries, and I can enjoy all these things because of the SUNSHINE!! Love your cards, and your blog! thanks for a chance to win some goodies!
my favorite things about summertime- is going to the beach! 🙂
My favorite thing about summer is working outside in the yard, then having lunch in the open air on the deck. But, that’s yet to happen this summer – we’ve had rain, rain & more rain (really weird) & the mosquitoes try to carry us off if we step outside the house! Hopefully it won’t last too much longer & I can be Outside again!!!
I like the less hurried pace of summer. No lunches to pack, no homework, don’t have to worry as much about bed times. Just relaxing and having fun.
Hey Lauren – awesome MyTime mail! There are many things I love about summer, including hanging out at the pool, going to waterparks, and having it be light outside until 9:30! Hooray for summer. 🙂
I’m a “messie” in all aspects of my home, but I guess even the most organized of crafters will end up being messy before long if we collected as much as it sounds like you have! Congrats on getting things cleaned up & organized! I bet it feels great! One of my favorite things about summer include visiting my family who live out of town! I miss my folks & I’m so thrilled for my parents & sister to get to know my kids!
Only stampers could make something unavailable that quickly. Once we let out something we love its gone quickly. lol! 😉
Love your card, love the beachy feel. thanks for sharing blog candy with us!
Great mail to share with us! My favorite summertime thing is to go camping. Our kids just absolutely LOVE to wake up in the tent!
I like summer because my kids are out of school and have less commitments…I am not much on the Texas heat unless we are at the pool, which hasn’t happened this summer because we have had a lot of rain…All four of my kids left for church camps today and I am excited about 5 days with just me and my husband at home
Love your cards & the summery feel to them. They are so pretty! Thanks for sharing them with us. I just finished cleaning up my space & know how great it feels to do it. I know someone who is interested in 12 bandaid tins and 40 tiny “tooth fairy” tins lol. I have searched high & low for bandaid tins in Ontario, Canada and can’t find them anywhere. Can’t find the tooth fairy tins either. lol
My reason’s for like summer are many: for starters IT’S MY BIRTHDAY at the end of July as well as my sisters this Friday. I live a block away from the beach & waterfront and my town is always celebrating something in the summer. We just finished celebrating Canada Day with a parade, band tatoo (marching band competion) & fireworks, then it was a band on the beach and then Friday the 13th motorcyle ralley where we had approx 125,000 motorcyles & visitors come to our town for the largest motorcycle ralley in Canada. This happens every Friday the 13th. We also have concerts in the park every Sunday plus many more upcoming events this summer. Plus the awesome food, the sun & warm weather. Who can’t find something to love about summer. I could go on and on. lol
Thanks for the chance to win some awesome goodies.
My favorite thing about summer is the wonderful fresh fruits and veggies – corn on the cob, cantaloupe, watermelon, okra, etc. And sitting outside on the patio visiting with friends and family.
My favorite thing about summer?? My son’s birthday. He turned 7 this June. I love watching him grow each year. Other than that.. I love AIR CONDITIONING!!! 🙂
my favorite thing about the summer is getting to go see my inlaws in fl to spend a week with them… Summer vacation
Shore do love the blues. I have been cleaning up my area. Wow!!! I can’t believe all the paper I do have. I should start using some of it. Don’t cha think? Beautiful cards. thanks for the inspiration.
my fave thing about summer is the cookouts and spending time with family and friends!
My favorite thing about summer is always going to the beach with my family. And I mean my WHOLE family. Mom, Dad, bro, and all of my grandparents. Sadly my grandfather will not be coming this year because he is in a nursing home because of Alzheimers. My grandmother needs the break so she will be coming along with my other grandma and grandpa.
We all go out to the beach and dad and I sit under the umbrella all day and once and a while go out into the water to body board or just to wade, we burn too easily. Grandmother and my brother go out and boogie board (she roller blades too! brave grandmother!), and my mom bakes in the sun till she is a nice golden brown.
In the evenings we hit a seafood place for dinner and then go back to the beach. Dad and brother and I fish and the rest of the family walks.
That is my FAVORITE thing about summers. Aside from the fact that they are not winter and there is no snow! That is the second best!
My all time favorite thing about summer is that I get to have my granddaughters all day during the summer and that is a blessing in itself… We stamp, scrap and do all kinds of art together..
Your cards are wonderful and thanks for sharing.

Wow, I love your cards! That blue is so beautiful and calming – it really gives me that “being at the ocean” feeling! 🙂
My favorite thing about summertime is the weather! I hate being cold, and living in Alberta (Canada) means being cold a lot! Once spring rolls around sometime mid or late April, I start to get a smile on my face and my shoulders drop a little (I’m no longer hunched up shivering!). By summertime, I am a very happy camper! I also love all the beautiful gardens in the neighborhood – such inspiration!
Thanks for the opportunity to win this great candy! 🙂
Wow! Great cards! My favourite thing about summertime is going camping. I just love to go camping! It’s so peaceful and the pace is so restful. It must be to be worth it to pack everything in the car for a weekend!
Hi Lauren! Isn’t it so fun to get things organized?? My favorite thing about summer is going to the pool with my kids. It gets so hot here and it just feels so nice to jump into the cool pool 🙂
Great Blog!
I love wearing shorts everyday.
ang
My favorite thing about summer is the annual beach trip with friends! There are usually between 6-7 families and we all rent houses in the same location – we have a blast!!
Wow!! Cool candy!!
My favorite summer thing to do is go camping!
I like to take a walk in the bush,go for a ride on the 4 wheeler, roast those marshmallows and put some scrappin’ time in there as well!
Enjoy your summer Lauren!
I’m a retired teacher so my favorite thing about summer used to be no school. Now that I’m retired, it is spending time with my friends & family at the beach. It’s such a relaxing time. I love your cards. I think I need Shore Thoughts. What a versatile set & I love the sentiments. TFS
Hi Lauren, I thought you might appreciate the fact that my husband said the same thing yours did. No stamping till you clean up your room. Only it wasn’t No Stamping alone, it was no dinner out or fun things till I clean up that room. He said I have so much stuff in there that I don’t know what I have. And he is right. So my next four days off its going to be clean, and organize the craft room. I have a brandnew L shaped desk to put in there and two new 2 drawer filing cabinets. So. Guess I am going to really be busy after I get it organized. Right now all of my stamps sets, except a couple of PaperTrey sets are packed. I love summer’s because of specia; trips we take. Only this year its two separates—He is going to Slovakia with his two adult children and I am taking a cruise with my adult daughter. Maybe after he gets back from Slovakia we will take our usual trip to Canada. Ontario region. So those are my favorite things. Love your cards and your blog. Read it every time it comes up in my emails. My favorite card of all of them was your honorable mention. You made the flowers look like stained glass. Loved that effect. Thanks for the chance at some GREAT BLOG CANDY!
I love sleeping in, taking it easy and just plain doing NOTHING during the summer. Usually we take a break from most activities – just a sports game here and there – but lots of relaxing and as little scheduling as possible.
Thanks for the chance for blog goodies. And your DD items were really cool this month too!
Congrats on your new room and organized space. You must feel great!
Best thing about summer is a rainy day after many, many days of sunshine. It’s good for the grass and flowers and you don’t feel like you HAVE to go out, or you’re wasting a sunny day:}
Keep the great cards a-comin’.
Would you look at all that bling! Wow those cards really sparkle. Now that’s what I like about summertime…. seashells by the seashore, the waves crashing on the sand, lighthouses in the morning fog. I could go on and on about the seashore, but you don’t want to hear that. 🙂
I love picnics in the park, fresh farmer’s market vegetables and fruit, and long days of daylight!! Thanks for your blog!!!
Summer is our shortest season weather wise, so I appreciate it the most. The clear sky without fog and rain, the warmth on my skin, mmmm heat. Love it.
Pretty cards, Lauren! I love to be outside with my children in the summer. I love to take them to the park with a book and a chair; I read, they play! Works out great for me. I love the lazy feel that summer days bring (even if they really aren’t lazy and we’re even more busy).
Hmmmm……..My fave part of summer is the faster commute to work, it seems everyone else is on vacation but me!! lol I like kairing out the house from the winter funk tool………..Love your work!!
I love that shell set! Beautiful. My favorite thing about summer is getting together with my dh’s family at the beach in CA and hanging out for a week! Dutch oven cooking, tents, sand, laughter, oh and Smores Wars!
Misty
My favorite thing about summer is the cool ocean water on warm sandy toes! (Especially if those toes have nice red polish on them!)
I am not sure I can pick just one thing, but for me, one of the best parts about summer is that it is light out sooooo much longer!!! :)Congrats and thanks for the great blog!
We have several lakes around here & I love to grab my little grandkids and try out all of them. There is always somewhere new to explore. Your cards are always so amazing that I love visiting your blog.
I love the comfort of dress in the summer. Sandals, light weight sun dresses, shorts, t-shirts. No bulky and uncomfortable socks, hats, coats, sweaters, boots, etc:) Thanks for offering us blog candy.
[…] MISS MYTIME MAIL POST HERE-just comment for a chance to […]
I just love your blog. My favorite thing about summer is the kids coming home from college and getting to spend time with them. It’s great because we get to make cards and scrapbook together. Keep up the great work and inspiration for all of us.
My favorite thing about summer is going to the pool and wearing flip-flops or no shoes at all!! Thanks!
WOW…what fun stuff today! LOVE your My Time Mail. I have been procrastinating on buying that punch! I SO hope I win it! And you should see my alterables cabinet. What am I thinking??? I need to start altering!
Love your blog, Lauren!!
Great fun stuff! There are so many things I love about summer, but I would have to say the flowers. Living in the snowbelt of NE Ohio, I really appreciate the color and texture of the flowers, everywhere. Great goodies!
These cards are just beautiful!!!
My favorite thing about Summer is being at the beach. I was just there yesterday with my sister, niece and nephew…we had a blast! We joked and laughed all day, went for walks, swam and ate cannonballs ( now known as screwballs) from the ice cream truck. It was a great day and we didn’t want it to end.
Thanks for offering the chance to win some fun blog candy. Love your cards and tips.
What great blog candy…
My favorite thing about summertime has to be the beach. Every year we go to Sea Isle City, NJ and nothing beats it! I’m counting down the days until we go in August. 🙂
My favorite thing about summer is lazy days. I am a second grade teacher so the summer really gives me the time I need to step back, unwind, and then get excited about a new school year. This break actually gives me a time to stamp, too! Love your blog and thanks for sharing all of your wonderful organizational tips!!!
Hey Lauren – I LOVE the new cards you posted, love the color combinations (and the images).
I’d have to say that my favorite thing about summer is the flexible structure of the days. During the school year it gets so tough keeping track of who has to be where when, I enjoy being able to go with the flow, so to speak.
While this is my first time posting I’ve been keeping up with your blog on a daily basis – I love your creations and the personal stories you share! Thanks for all the time you put in to share with us!
wow! what beautiful cards! there are so many things to love about summer…i love baseball, going to youth camp, vacations to the beach…there is no way to pick just one!
Absolutely beautiful awesome cards. The blue and the shells are so calming. Thank you for sharing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That blue card is gorgeous. Love all of the horizontal features.
Summer: one of my fave things is fresh cut grass. It’s so perfect looking with all the straight lines still showing. And it just feels good. It’s kind of soft and lush.
I just discovered your blog a few days ago – I just bought the cuttlebug and did a google search on cuttlebug and blogs and Voila, I found you! I have been SO inspired. My favorite thing about summer is seeing the kids get in the tub with their tan little faces, hands and legs and their little white coppertone butts! So cute. Thanks for doing what you do! I really look forward to reading.
Your cards are just amazing, your mind must be an endless stream of wonderful ideas. Summer to me is remember the fun talks I used to have with my mother while sitting on our porch swing sipping ice cold lemonaide. I purchased a swing this summer in hopes of recapturing some of those fun times with my own 5 yr. old daughter.
Awesome, awesome as usual!!! Thanks so much for sharing…my favorite thing about summer is my kids being home from school and being with them. Seeing them enjoy being with friends and just not being held to too many timeframes. Keep up the great work!
My favorite summer time thing to do is go boating, we take off just about an hour away, but it may as well be miles and even in another state as I feel away from all the stress of everyday life. I’m so grateful to have this getaway. Great cards as usual!
Vicky
Holy canoli, you’ve been a busy bee organizing!!!!
One of my favorite things about summer is camping. We bought a camper last year and it’s been so much fun. I am such a girly girl and wasn’t sure how much I’d like it. But it’s been soo much fun. It’s hardly ruffing it when you have a camper to sleep in with a tv, electricity and a fridge stocked full of goodies. My husband is a work a holic so it’s nice to get him all to ourselves for a few days. The kids have a blast. They get to ride there bikes, go to the beach and get to meet new friends. It’s just great to have such a different change of pace.
Why I like summer?
Easy-peasy:
MY Time!
All the kiddies are home from school and there’s NO school meaning MY TIME for teachers.
Beautiful Cards! My favorite thing about summer. The warmth…I love looking at snowy weather but the cold gets me…don’t like it a bit! Love this warmth!
I love the heat-the hotter the better. We had a bad storm last week and its since cooled off quite a bit here in Michigan. It was in the mid 90’s for a week and now its barely getting over 70’s but its supposed to hit 80 today but so cloudy. at night 50 and high 40’s. this is not summer to me.
I miss having little kids at home for our fun adventures-often I didnt have a car when my kids were small or we were broke or some other thing, so we scoured to find free or really cheap things to do back in the 80’s. Some states actually have a web site or paperback book each year of cheap stuff to do with kids in their area. we used that all the time.
Wow! Great stuff their!
My favorite thing about Summertime is all the pretty flowers in blume.
I like not having to get kids ready for school in the mornings – even though I get up early anyway. Working outside in the yard (if the mosquitos don’t carry us off) & getting together for church fellowships.
You do amazing cards!! Thanks for sharing.
My favorite thing about summertime is the long days … more time to do what needs to be done, and still have some time left over for fun time.
Hi Lauren, My fav thing about summer is the permission I give myself to laz about and drift in and out of a summertime nap on the beach !!! Oh yeah it doesnt get any better than that!
Hey Lauren! Congrats on your Papertrey Honorable Mention! I love that card! It’s one of my favorites of yours! Also – thanks for the COPIC info. I’m trying to come up with a way to get some $$$ and buy some! I can’t resist!
My favorite thing about summer is riding bicycles with my boys! I really like your cards; congratulations on your Papertrey honorable mention 🙂 Have a great week!
Nice job on the great looking cards–and inspiration, Lauren. What I love about summer is longer, warmer days; sounds of birds chirping and kids playing; flip flops and/or sandals; the refreshing smell of salt air; walking barefoot on the beach; flowers in full bloom … I guess I could go on, but I have to run. I hear some birds chirping outside.
Hi Lauren!
Your blog is wonderful! Thanks for all of the inspiration!
My favorite part of summer is spending time with my family and going on vacation to the beach!! I love it!

Hi Lauren!
Thanks for the chance to win awesome goodies!
When I stopped by your blog today, I just smiled 🙂
That is the cutest at the shore card…simply adorable!
Oh yeah, what I like about summer…
longer days.
I could go for daylight savings time all year round!
Hi Lauren.. love your blog ~ I read it nearly every single day when I get a chance.
Summertime is so much fun because we get to take out boat to Lake of the Ozarks and all of our family spending the day together, swimming, fishing and having fun. We have the most fun at the lake and every summer I look forward to getting to do this.
Pam
Since I am in college, summer means vacation! Boys, girlfriends, flip flops, tank tops, swimming, Black Cherry Koolaide, FUN FUN FUN. Thanks for your generous blog goodies.
My favorite summertime activity is lounging around in nice weather, wearing shorts, reading a novel, eatting ice cream (not feeling guilty eatting it too) and just having fun.
Lauren, Two more beauties. My favorite thing about summer is the way things slow down just a little bit. We rush way too much in this life. As a mom I also appreciate that I don’t have to do as much laundry – no socks, no sweatshirts, no jackets.
My favorite thing about summer? How about summer itself – the longer daylight hours, taking the kids to the beach and relaxing in the sun, no trying to get clothes and lunches ready for school, everythings green, badmitton, baseball, no coats, pretty flowers, listening to the rain at night with the window open…… I could go on and on. The only thing I don’t like about summer is the bugs!. Great cards as always Lauren!
What I love about summer are the events that happen in our city, we have the Expidition aka Klondike Days, Taste of Edmonton, Street Performers, Herriage Days,…I truely think the list is quite endless for the summer. We also have green shakes for the kids available at local parks. These are community paid/sponsered person that will play with your kids Monday-Friday. The next best thing is that there is absolutely no SNOW!!!!
My most favourite thing about summer is the long days spent lazying around on the beach, with a great book and watching the kids have an absolutely fabulous time in the sea and playing in the sand, it is priceless yet costs nothing. By the way your blog rocks. Thanks Anna
Your cards are wonderful, thanks for sharing. It’s great to do some cleaning and purge all that stuff you just had to have. I did it the first week we were out of school. Why did I buy all that? Anyway, I love summer one, I’m off school with the kids, two, we just run and do what every we want, what ever way the wind blows that day. Lazy summer fun, that’s priceless, enjoy the rest of yours,
Ann
My favorite thing about summer is being outside…swimming, gardening, reading. And another favorite thing I just thought of is not having to teach school.
Great stuff for the giveaway! I love looking at all of your card designs. You are a great inspiration.
Well, I live in New Orleans, and it is hot, hot, hot…summertime is awesome, because all of the snowball stands are open–yes, we call them snowballs not snowcones…I’m officially addicted to them and just have to have one at least every few days!
Thanks for all the inspiration…I really enjoy your blog!! Hope I win! 😉

I’m doing some organizing of my own, so I completely feel your pain! I found a bag of stuff I purchased at Michael’s MONTHS ago that must have gotten stashed at the time — there must be 12 rolls of ribbon and TONS of embellishments. Fun to find but no telling how many duplicates are in there! Last night I imposed a moratorium on future stamp-related purchases until I complete the organization.
Favorite thing about summer? I love how green everything is — grass, trees, gardens –and how much more vivid all the other colors are against the green — blue sky, pink, purple, yellow flowers. I also love splashing around in my parent’s pool with my niece and nephews. Giggling kids is one of my favorite sounds any time of the year!
Enjoy this summer day!
Melissa
I think the best thing about summer around here is that traffic in the mornings is so much better!!! I could probably say something like going to the beach or sipping lemonade on the front porch but compared to a shorter commute there is no competition. 🙂
Love the cards and you shore are being genorous. Thanks for the chance to win!!
Great job on the new stamp room and getting organize! My favorite thing about summer (besides the much improved weather) is my parents are home from their winter vacation and they are able to spend tons of time with my son (their only grandchild). I just love watching them together and knowing my son will have lifetime memories of the time spent with his grandparents.

Just love your cupcake cards…they are both just too cute!
My favorite thing about summer…bare feet 🙂
I always feel so much more productive after a good cleaning/organization session!!
My absolute favorite part of the summer is sitting on my deck and soaking up the rays while reading a good “Chick Lit” book!! There is NOTHING better! And fortunately for me, my DH and I just finished building a beautiful new deck, which makes the whole thing even more enjoyable!
I love that it gives you the opportunity to just sit outside and reflect. Or having a picnic with your friends. Also going to the beach. Just love the long lazy days.
Lauren,
I love visiting your site. I don’t think a day goes by where I don’t come and see what’s new!! You have so many great ideas! Love your cards!
Andrea
Hmm, summertime. It’s half over already! I like the non-scheduled days, sleeping in, and days out at the lake boating or on the jet-ski. Thanks for you generous give-away. Hope you are enjoying your summer as well.
As summer is so short here, i love to wear flip flops and capris every chance i get!
The sun, the clear skies and those beautiful summer sunsets! I love it!
Dawn Thomas
I really enjoy your blog. My favorite thing about summer is going to a friends, sipping my favorite drink and watching my grandkids swim, especially the 3 year old who has been a fish since she was 2. Big plus, longer daylight and our own special baby hummingbird!
Hi, I love your blog and your artwork. Thanks for sharing.
My favorite thing about summer time is just being able to spend some extra time with my children. They are teenagers now and it won’t be long until they are off to college and beyond, so I treasure the times I can spend with them now.
My favorite thing about summer is vacation time with family. all the flowers that are in bloom. Spending time with the grandkids. All your cards are beautiful
What I love about summer is the ocean!
Your cards are all beautiful by the way!!!
What I love about summer is….I love taking a week or so and spending it in OH with my family. Plus the longer days so the boys can play outside longer 😉 Great blog love visiting it every day.
thoughts I would bop in
I’ve been about the site before but thought I would comment
this time
fav thing about summer———watching my six year old just do her thing=play laugh and smile at all the simple things in life and learn along the way
and hear her say
mom I’m dirty but it means I’m having fun right
and I say
right
smiles
My favorite thing about summer is the beautiful weather. I hate having to wear all that heavy winter stuff! I also love going to our camper every weekend. It’s the only time I really relax!
Hi lauren, I love all your work. You are so creative. My favorite thing about summer is going on vacation with my two beautiful granddaughters. I check your site everyday.
My fave thing about summertime is that my much younger siblings come home from college. This means they get to see their nephew (my son) and we get to do LOTS of family things. Silly things like play cards till the wee hours of the morning with my parents or have a nice dinner out.
I love your stamping style, and your blog! My favorite thing about summertime is the slowed-down pace. The hustle-bustle of homework after school and trying to fit all the activities in is all gone during the summer months. And I love the fresh fruits of summer (watermelon, juicy peaches, cherries) – YUM. Oh, and the fresh-picked sweet corn – you can’t beat that!
My favorite thing about summer is having the kids out of school… no schedules to keep… we stay up later than normal with the kids and do fun family things, then the kids get to sleep in bed with me and DH and when morning comes, we all roll over and go back to sleep again!! I XOXOX it!!
Keep up the wonderful bloggin!

Cute Cards! I understand the cleaning. I sit here looking at a stamp spot that has about 100 things not related piled up on top but the energy to do it isnt there yet. I love the long days of summer. At 8 oclock at night you can go see the sunset. I also love being able to work with my sister in law. We work for the family butterfly farm which busy season is spring./summer.
My favorite thing about summer is having all my children home from school. We enjoy our time together and I so miss them when school starts.
I, also, love your cards……you are soooo talented!
[…] MYTIME MAIL! Dont forget ONE more day to win this! […]
Hello, My favorite part of summer is the sounds. I love the sound of birds and even bees buzzing around. It brings back wonderful memories of when I was a child and I would lay in the grass and watch the clouds. Yep…thats my favorite part of summer.
Pattyjo
I love that summer feels so carefree. Sure I still have to work but there is still that sense of “holiday” time, warm evenings, vacation to look forward to, longer days, cocktails on the deck. I could go on and on. Having said all that I also joke that I am never going to get a tan sitting in my basement making cards all summer!!! LOL!
My favorite thing about summer is the lack of a schedule or routine. I love to just wake up and decide, “Hey, let’s go to the beach” and off we go! I love your blog, you are truly talented!
