   Happy Belated Birthday Lauren!!! My birthday is July 26th! I have so many fond birthday memories of having my birthday/slumber parties in the summer. My favorite birthday memory is my sixteenth birthday. My best friends secretly planned a surprise party for me at my own house! All of my friends were there. We swam and had so much fun!!!!

   My birthday is Nov 14th. My best birthday was when all of my family surprized me with a party and a cake. I think it was my 45th, but it has been so long I loose track. It is really hard to get all of my family together so….this was a very special occasion. We had a good time catching up with what everyone was doing.

   My birthday is April 19th, and I think my very favorite one was my 29th… I found out I was pregnant with my son! He’s 4 now, and some days he’s more of a pain than a gift, LOL! I had a great birthday this year too (29, with five years experience…) when my husband surprised me with a set of Copic markers. *SQUEE*

   My birthday is July 4th (gosh – I just realized it’s two months from today)! My favorite memory was of my 16th birthday. I had three surprise parties with friends and family and loved every one of them. I’m a little hard to surprise because I tend to observe people, but all three of these took me by surprise!

   Hey…I ain’t proud…my birthday is 07/07/72! This year will be 07/07/07…cool! My best birthday memory…my 22nd was fun (largely because I wasn’t expecting a thing) and my friends had a clown come to my job and sing to me. After that, we had way too many libations! My first married birthday was fun (esp. since DH did try so hard…and he remembered to get wrap! JK!)…

   My birthday is November 29th. One of my best birthdays was just last year. I spent it in Disney World with my family – hubby, son , daughter-in-law and best of all my twin granddaughters who are 4 years old. We had a wonderful day together in a magical place! Another good birthday was my 40th. My hubby planned the day. He took me to a huge craft fair and let me spend as much time as I wanted. We had a wonderful lunch and he gave me diamond earrings!

   My birthday is June 16th. My best Birthday was 1999. I gave birth to my son on the 15th the day before my birthday. I got a Birthday cupcake from the nurses and they sang Happy Birthday to me!. I had a health son and I felt great. Nothing like being in the hospital on your Birthday and not being sick!!

   Mine is Feb 6. The best bday hands down was my sixth when my grandmom took me into Philadelphia from NJ on the train and we went to a fancy smancy jewelry store and got my ears pierced. Boy, did I think I was hot stuff!!

   My b-day is Nov 7. I remember my 13th b-day. I got the Trivial Pursuit game and I still have it! Also I had a sleepover the week before (Halloween) and my friends and I went to a costume party! It was icey and afterwards my friend Diane (10 yrs older than I) did donuts in a parking lot with us girls in the car. That was a fun b-day!

    My b-day is April 6, 1972. A birthday that I remember is when I turned 30, my husband and my mother-in-law threw me a surprise party. However, it wasn’t too much of a surprise because my husband was acting weird about making a “stop” at his moms. So I kept asking “Is it a surprise party for me?” Finally he told me, so when we walked through the door I had to act all surprised. I thought everyone knew I was acting, but they didn’t.

    Hello, congratulations on your hits. My Birthday is July 16th. One of my best Birthday was like 10 years ago, when my boyfriend (husband now for last 9 years) surprised me and told me to be all dressed up at a certain time. I was picked up by a limo. Big deal for a farm girl, and then we went out to a very fancy restaurant and just cruised the city.! It was fun.

    My birthday is May 16th. One of my best memories is when I was a junior in high school. As it turned out, prom was on my birthday. I went to prom with a good friend of mine. He showed up with extra flowers and baloons. Then, he had arranged for everyone at the prom banquet to sing me Happy Birthday. It made for an extra-special birthday. Thanks!     My birthday is Feb. 3rd, 1978! My best Birthday would have to be when my husband took me away for the weekend to a beautiful chalet with a big stone fireplace and the chalets were all up ontop of a hill overlooking this amazing valley.

    My 14th b-day. My sister who is 4 years older than I got married purposely the day before my birthday to let say “take the air” out of my birthday. Needless to say, it worked and everyone forgot about me…except my Aunt, who to this day is like a second Mom to me. She took me home from the reception and the next day (my actual b-day) we had the best, day-long party for my b-day I have ever had!!!! I doubt anyone or anything on my b-day will ever mean as much to me as that gesture did!!!!!

    Hello! My birthday is Nov. 24. Sometimes it lands on Thanksgiving, which kind of sucks because I can’t get together with friends because they are all with their families. But sometimes it falls on the day after Thanksgiving, which I feel is the best day of the year!! I love going Christmas shopping that day and getting good deals. One of my best birthdays is when my hubby got me a gift cert. to the mall right before I left to do day-after-Thanksgiving shopping. It was fun to shop for myself too! Thanks!

    My birthday is September 6th, 1982. I guess my most memorable birthday was the first one away from home. I always spent my birthday with my momma and when I moved in my my hubby (then boyfriend) I was over an hour away from her. It was my 19th and really hard on me! He was working 3rd shift so I spent most of the day by myself cause he was asleep. Every other birthday has been great though, that one was just a hard one on me and that’s why I remember it so much! Thanks for the chance at the goodies!

    Happy B-lated birthday!!!! My bday is on March 17th (yes on St. Patrick’s day ~ hence the name). I’m never stuck without a party. My fav. bday moment is tied, at 10 my mom got my grandfather to rent the country club to have magician and pizza and I got my first doll house. The other is my 30th, we rented Dylan’s Candy Bar’s party room and while the people worked there expecting kids, a bunch of grown ups are dipping chik-fil-a nuggets in the chocolate fountain. We had chocolate fountain, chik-fil-a, and make your own Sundae, but we were on such sugar high… we ate more sugar than chicken.

Unfortunately for reasons I won’t go into I don’t have any “happy” birthday memories from my childhood or my marriages. Now that I am single, healthy, and happy I am ready to create some favorite birthday memories.

    My birthday is October 29th…I love the fall and Halloween, makes for great birthday parties. I don’t have a specific birthday memory, but I do remember the fun sleepovers I used to have with all my friends when I was a teenager. Staying up all night and then sleeping most of the next day! Those were the days!! I’d love to have a sleepover again sometime!

    August 3rd…and my 1/2 birthday is February 3rd…I really like to celebrate.

    One year, my dad took me down to the beach on my birthday. Just he and me, for a bit of fun in the sun. He found a large stick and wrote “I love Dawn” in the sand. I will always remember that gesture…and know that my Dad Loves Me!!

    Happy Birthday! My hubby’s is on the 6th. I’m December 1st.
    I think one of my favorite birthday memories is the year I got married (1990). We were married in September and my birthday was in December. I LOVE animals and had always had pets as a kid. I ended up going to a pet shop (which I would never do now as I volunteer at the SPCA!), near where we lived and there were kittens there. There were 2 tabbies that I just loved. I went home and told my hubby, and a little later we went there together. One of my tabbies was there (the rest of the litter was gone) and there was a new litter there. My hubby and I went to grab a pizza across the street and ‘talk about it’. We went back and I got my tabby (Tigger) and another friend (Patches). They were our kids before we could have kids!! The best birthday present I have ever had!! We had them until a few years ago. Both lived to over the age of 11. We now have a housefull of pets. 4 cats, 2 dogs and a cockatoo. Good thing we both love animals!!

    My birthday is December 21. My mom always made it a seperate occasion from Christmas and not once was my birthday gift wrapped in Christmas paper! Her birthday is December 17 and understood the importance of having your own special day. I did get some good combo gifts once I was older!

    Hi Lauren, It looks like you had a great birthday. My birthday is July 8. One of my best memories was having my dad pitch our big tent in the backyard when I turned 13 and spending the night out there with 7 other giggly girls. We were up all night, finally fell asleep, and then trooped into the house the next morning to my dad’s wonderful pancakes with bacon and eggs. A more recent special birthday memory was six years ago when my husband wrote a wonderful birthday poem for me.

    My birthday is Sept 26th. I think my fav birthday memory is my junior year in high school. My mom surprised me with a party at the local pizza parlor and invited the band’s rifle team. I had no idea and the team didn’t say anything during practice either.

    My birthday is Oct. 10. My fav birthday memory is when I turned 16. My sister’s boyfriend hired a gorilla to deliver roses to me and my sister (her birthday is 3 days after mine!). He then took us both out to dinner. I just remember the look on my sister’s face – total disbelief that there was a gorilla in front of the house singing Happy Birthday to us.

    My birthday is 9 June.
    I remember being about to have a sleep-over for my 13th birthday. Our new house on the farm was being built and us girls thought it would be neat to sleep in the house even tho it wasn’t finished – just the walls were up. We did until the insulation started driving us all crazy – the itch was so bad we all had to have a sponge bath (our old house didn’t have a hot water heater and it would have taken all nite to heat enough water for us to bath)……..when we (the girlfiends) get together we still remember that silly day!!!

    My birthday is 7 May…and this year is my last in my 30′s….where does time go?

    My fondest memories are of my 23rd birthday, when I had absolutely no plans or expectations. Flowers were delivered to my workplace, friends popped in for cake in the evening and I even had a long lost friend, whom I hadn’t seen for 10 years, track me down to say hi. I felt really special that all these people made a special effort just for me. One lucky girl.

    Hey Lauren!! Well, let’s see….my b-day is July 15…fond birthday memories…probably my sixteenth, I had a big barbecue at my house, and we played volleyball all day…a friend took me for a ride on his motorcycle, and then I burned my leg on the tailpipe when I got off, THAT was a bummer (I had an imprint of “Genuine Honda” on my calf for a couple of weeks!) but it was a fabulous day!

    This year is the big 3-0, so we’ll see…I told Nick I wanted a party, but we’ll probably be in the middle of closing in our deck, so not likely that it will happen, but as long as he gets me my Baskin-Robbins ice-cream cake…no one will get hurt

    Fun question! My birthday is March 15, also known as the ides of March! One of my favorite birthdays in recent memory was about four years ago when a group of friends and I rented a hotel room and escaped for a weekend of scrapbooking, stamping and fun! We all escaped real life and attended two days of a Creating Keepsakes convention by day, then in the early evening, we played with our new stuff, and in the later evening, we went out to dance! It was a great, great time with good friends.

    Last year for my Birthday my daughter took me to the city for a wonderful spa day…it was glorius…after the 45 minute foot massage I thought I could walk to the moon…the head massage was so relaxing I fell asleep…the total body massage made me feel like break dancing…LOL…but the absolute best was going to “Rich To Riches” for a sweet treat…never in my life Have I had rich pudding that tasted like that…and my mom use to make great rich pudding…but this was YUMMO.

    So that was one of my BESTEST BIRTHDAYS EVER.

    My b-day is November 16th.

    And my best birthday was my 30th just a few months ago. I decided I was turning 30 somewhere warm and sunny (I’m from Alberta, Canada). My bf and I took off to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for 2 weeks. On my birthday, we went on a romantic cruise, show and dinner on a jungle island – it was called Rhythms of the Night. Ian proposed to me that night! 30 is so easy with a diamond! Of course I said yes and we will be married on Sept 29 this year. So by my 31st b-day I will be a wife.

    My birthday is September 23.

    My best birthday memory is the year that I turned 16. My Dad took me to MVD to get my first driver’s license. Then I came home to a dozen roses from an admirer and a new cedar chest from my Dad and step-mom. And that’s not all, I had a surprise party with my friends at the park. I will never forget that birthday.

    My birthay is January 15. Best birthday memory was my 30th. My friends threw me surprise party. I had absolutely NO idea. I turned up (not so) fresh from getting my pony ready for a show the next day and since it is in the middle of summer here, I was looking a treat!!!!

    My birthday is February 20. my favorite birthday memory was when I turned 18. My boyfriend (now DH) took me to NYC to see Phantom of the Opera! He also bought me a ton of clothes, and when you are 18 that is awesome!! We spent an awesome day on NYC and that is something I will nevre forget.

    Just had my birthday, April 27th. All my birthday memories are good ones, but I think the best one was back in 1996, my older son was born two days before and he was in critical condition for a while. Then on my birthday morning doctor told us he will make it. And now he is the most wonderful 11 years old young man.

    Happy birthday, Lauren! My birthday is October 5, and my best birthday memory was my 21st. My husband threw a surprise birthday party for me. I am not much on the surprise element of it, but there were, like, 30 people there! Lots of friends and people from church. I just felt very loved that so many people came to spend that evening with me. It was so NOT the typical 21st- but I don’t drink, anyway- because there were even a bunch of kids there. I loved it!

    Hope you had a Happy Birthday. My birthday is June 3 (coming up!) and since I live away from my family any birthday I get to spend with them is a good birthday. However, there have been several “not fun” experiences too- I think I have moved twice on my birthday. The birthday that I remember the most (but I don’t remember how old I was) was the one where my parents surprised me with a trip to my Mamaw and Papaw’s. I didn’t even realize we were going anywhere until we were almost there and I saw a sign that looked familiar!

    My birthday is August 31, 1972. My favorite birthday memory is when I turned 13 (we lived in New Orleans), my parents had gotten me a Duran Duran jacket for school and I had friends over and we had lobster for dinner. It was so good!
    Back then (can’t believe I am saying that, it seems like not too long ago) it was very popular to wear band type jackets with all sorts of little pins on them of different things you liked (at least it was “in” when I lived down in Louisiana).
    Love your blog and I had the Michael Jackson album too! What a riot, I sure wish I had a lot of that stuff still….I would be ebaying it for more stamps!!! ;o)

    OK…my birthday is Feb 8, 1949. I add the year so you know i’m no spring chicken. I have had incredible birthdays because I had a great husband and 5 kids who made them that great.

    But when I turned 50, my husband bought me a cotton candy machine. I love cotton candy and really by the time I turned 50 I didn’t NEED anything. But I was shocked and awed by this gift. We have had such a great time with it over the years. At the time I was running a day care business out of my home and it was the perfect way to treat the young-uns. Then along came my grandkids and it was another perfect way to be the granny. I make balloon animals, play the piano/accordion, am now learning to juggle…so the cotton candy machine just makes our house a year-round carnival.

    Hi Lauren,
    My birthday is September 14, 1957 (gasp!) My favorites are these two – my 35th because my dh and I had gotten married on September 4 and were just coming home from our honeymoon that day – it was just an extra special birthday – first one as a married woman – even though we’d been engaged for 10 years! The other was my 40th birthday. I had just had our second child in July and he was being baptized the weekend AFTER my birthday and we were planning the party. I was unsuspecting since my birthday had already passed, but my dh threw me a surprise party – catered and everything. I had never had a surprise party, so it was very memorable. So sweet of him and lots of planning and juggling with two little ones at that time!

    I just had my birthday too. Mine is April 29th. I turned 36 this year and I am having a bit of an issue with that one. My most memorable birthday was when I was 26. It was not a good memory…I don’t know why, but I was totally freaked out by turning 26. I guess for me that was the mark into true adulthood and I was NOT ready to be an adult. I proved it to myself too by going out and doing something VERY stupid…and imature!

    Now I know better. I am older and wiser!

    Happy Belated Birthday. My birthday is March 13th. As a child whenever there was a birthday in the house my Mom made an angel food cake with home made frosting. The birthday child got to choose what color the frosting would be. My favorite was when I chose to make the frosting lavendar. My brothers freaked and wouldn’t eat it because it looked “weird”. I thought it was beautiful and was so happy my mom made the extra effort to make it how I wanted it.

He also secretly flew in my mom & step-dad from Florida to meet us at the New York airport. We had a magical weekend seeing all the sights and taking in a broadway show!

    My birthday is July 29th. I think my most memorable birthday was 3 years ago. My first grandchild was born on my birthday!!! I can’t think of any better birthday present to have than that!!!

    My birthday is November 7th, 1967…yep…I’ll be *40* this year! So far I’m OK with it…it’s just a number! (We’ll see if that changes as Nov gets closer, LOL!)
    My favorite birthday memory is my 30th, which *was* a big one for me! DH and kids met me for lunch and acted like it was any other day and didn’t say a whole lot. I was a little ticked and getting an attitude… At that time he worked shift work and was going in to work 3:00-11:00. Well when I got home he *hadn’t* gone to work and the house was full of friends for a Surprise Party! I had absolutely no clue! He had pulled off the surprise and we had a blast!

WOOHOO 3 speeds meant I could race and beat the yucky boys on their dumb ole regular bikes! Another memory is because my birthday is so close to Valentine’s I always had a pink heart cake…I hated IT!! But you know what, to this day I LOVE hearts…and I make myself PINK HEART cakes on my birthdays. (except this year, we made pink cupcakes)

    One of my many memories was when I turned 40! My hubby picked me up at work (I am a teacher) and we spent the night at a hotel in Chicago – IN THE SAME SUITE AS PRINCESS DIANA STAYED in when she was in Chicago….It cost him every penny he had saved for a year…he was thrilled with his “gift”! He thought it was awesome! I was OKAY with it, but he was thrilled with it and how could I not love it, too?

    My birthday was on March 21 and I just hit my 68th. And I don’t care!!!!!! I guess one of my favorite birthday was when I turned 50. My husband thought I was depressed awhile before that. So he threw me this big, gigantic dinner party that was a surprise. I had no idea. The funny thing was is that prior to this when I threw a hissy fit because the house was such a mess when I came home from work. It looked like the circus had come here and left without picking anything up. Now, I had a college graduate son here who was not working at the time and a high school graduate daughter here also. No one had picked anything up all day. So, I had had a bad day at work and was not happy to see this place look like it did. Being depressed had nothing at all to it. It was that stuff that blew me away. All is well. That was a nice party and we had a great time. Did the kids pick things up after that—– They are married and have kids of their own now!!!! Somedays, you wish they were back, some you don’t I do hope that you had a great birthday. Enjoy your kids while they are young.

I was quite old before I figured out that all those kids who dressed up weren’t doing it just for my b-day – LOL!     Hi Lauren. My birthday is March 1st (I was almost a leap year baby)!! I would have to say that one of my best birthday memories (and a funny one too) is when I was turning 7 years old and I had a great big birthday party with kids from school and the neighborhood. The night before I could barely sleep … I couldn’t believe all these people were coming for me … imagine all of the presents. Well, people start showing up and I start getting more and more excited, so excited in fact that I started doing cartwheels in the house (and yes, I was wearing a dress). Before we even got to the cake and presents the kids from across the street had gone home because I was so wild that I had scared them!! I would like to think that I was just enjoying myself however I guess not everyone was enjoying it with me. Great blog candy … thanks for sharing.

    My best birthday would have to be my 30th. My husband and kids treated me like a queen and made the day so special. I was kind of dreading turning 30, but it was just so fun and special.

    I also loved my 16th birthday. I got my drivers license that day and had my first “official” date that night. John and I went roller skating. There was another guy named Gary that shared my birthday and thought I was on a date with him that night. Things were a little crazy since I didn’t know I was supposed to be with Gary.

    Feb. 6th. One of my birthdays was when my husband (then boyfriend) got me all of the DMC floss colors that I didn’t own. He knew how much I loved to stitch and borrowed my list of color numbers that I already had, and went on a shopping spree. I thought he’d get a few skeins for me, but I was shocked and happy to open the box and see hundreds of beautiful colors of floss there! It was a very special gift then and a wonderful memory now!

    My birthday is July 31. My older sister and my birthday are 11 days apart and growing up we always had shared birthday parties with all the kids in the neighbourhood. Since it was summer, we always had them outside with a barbecue. One year I had come down with the measles on my birthday and had to watch from the window while the party went on without me. My best birthday memory was finding out I was pregnant for my son after having so many difficulties.

    My birthday is October 27th. My grandparents anniversary was October 28th (which is my wedding anniversary too) and my sister Denise was born on October 29th. (We were two years and two days apart). I can’t chose one favorite birthday – basically all of my childhood birthdays were awesome. We used to celebrate all three special events at my grandparents farm – on the same day – while preparing for Halloween! Aunts, uncles, cousins – it was so much fun! My sister passed away in 1999 and I now cherish every one of those childhood birthdays even more now.

     My favorite birthday memory? It was 2004. My Dh was in Iraq, and I thought my birthday would go unnoticed so I planned a meeting at my house to assure a little adult conversation. About an hour into it, my neighbor came over with a cake. DS was 3. He’s autistic and barely spoke at the time. He saw the cake and said, “Mama.” He then looked at me and started singing “Happy Birthday” clear as a bell. So sweet. My neighbor started to sing too and I said “Be quiet. I want to hear Caleb.” I wrote her a nice thank you note though.

     I have to admit I don’t celebrate birthdays although I was born on 4/25/77. One of my most best memories is the day before my grandmother died, I realize that sounds really morbid but it’s really not. It was a really great day. See we were very close. She was my best friend, I was 10 years old. We had just spend an 2 hour car ride home where we laughed and played the whole way home. We dropped her off at home and the last thing I remember of her is her big old smile as she waved goodbye while she walked in the house. She passed in her sleep that night. But that’s not what I remember, what I remember is the day before, us laughing and playing, just me & my Bubbie.

     My birthday is March 19th – and one of my favorite memories is on my 28th birthday, when my parents took me out to dinner, we announced we were pregnant with my first child! We had been trying for over 2 years and after many, many different fertility treatments, we finally were blessed! Somehow we waited 10 weeks to tell everyone because I was so scared something bad would happen. We felt like we were out of the woods at 10 weeks and it just so happen to be right around my birthday. Anyway – that was 8 years ago – and I was pregnant twice after that.

     I also remember my 11th birthday, in 5th grade – I had a slumber party with all my school friends and we stayed up late, ate junk and prank-called all the boys from our class. That was before caller-ID although I’m sure they could figure it out since all the girls from our class were at my house!

I always have a girl’s night out party with my girlfriends, and they pitched in and surprised me with a red Kitchen-Aid Artisan mixer! I was totally shocked. I love to bake (and they love my famous sugar cookies), but I was always too cheap to buy this fabulous mixer. They said it was really a selfish gift so they could get more sugar cookies, but little did they know it would be months before I used it, because it was just “too beautiful, like a piece of art” to get messy making cookies with! =)

As I was learning how to add and subtract (around the age of 7), I figured out that my mom’s birthday minus my dad’s birthday was MY birthday… I thought that was pretty cool!

     My favorite birthday was when I was 13. There weren’t many places open on Christmas day. However, the happiest place on earth was open. My parents took my sister and I to Disneyland. Back then it was not crowded. So we got to go on on our favorite rides with no lines. What a nice birthday.
