More Lizzie Anne Designs…..

Apr 6, 2007 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards

Oh I am just lovin this new company. I ordered 3 of their sets the other day after seeing their banner ad on SCS. I’m a sucker for stamps! Shipping was fast. Service excellent.

They sell their sets un-mounted deep etched  rubber. They cling to the acrylic blocks, and have a cute Jewel case they store in. I’m really lovin the unmounted sets lately cause my craft room is overflowing! This leaves me alot more room to buy more.

So I whipped up some cool cards the other day, and posted them here and on my gallery @ SCS.

Here is what I did yesterday! There is ONE more but I am saving that for tomorrow’s sketch challenge!

Funky Flower

flower

I just got this Funky Floral set with my order from Lizzie Anne Designs. You can NEVER have enough flowers IMO!

The paper is New! by Heidi Grace called Mushrooms (double sided)-from eP . I used it to inspire my collection of color. Which I must say is pretty cool!

Cameo Coral, Always Artichoke, Pumkin Pie, Pixie Pink! Would you have EVER put those color together? Not me. But I was so happy with the results. Wait till you see tomorrows. I hope you try this color combo. Maybe that will be another day challenge! HMMMMM.

I stamped the flower twice, cutting out the cameo layer. The brads are velvet covered by MM anthology (also from eP). I had to do some stitching cause the flower is a stitched style. Wanted to showcase both sides of the patterned paper so I did! I embossed the thank you sentiment in white. Im so into circles lately. I think the top tie’s are so fun, and complete the look. I just scored a 1/2 inch from the top, popped out some 3/4 circles, and here ya go.

White can sometime be stark. This has just the right balance.

You’re the Cat’s Meow!

cat

This one uses the Celebrations II set by Lizzie Anne. Make sure you check out their gallery! You will see me amongst the other great stuff there.

I love the Au Chocolat paper by SU! I just got this paw punch at Target by EK Success, so I HAD to use it!

So, I was unsure where I wanted this to go. I kept thinking Halloween, but didn’t want to go that route. All I knew was I wanted lots of paw prints! LOL! That is where the strip of prints comes in. The cat is on dimensionals. I stamped it on glossy white-for a little more “pop” IRL. I used the corner rounder (corner guard removed) for my scalloped border. Very simple layout.

I needed a cat sentiment so I dusted off my Cool Cat set by SU!

Hope you like it. I hope to try out some of the other stamps in this set, but this one was my favorite (along with the sun, sandals, gift…you get the idea!)

Tell me what you think.

my room

Well people have been dying to see where all my creative time is spent, so here it is! Don’t mind the mess it was along day of stamping he! he! Plus when your workspace is only about 10 x 6 you can only CRAM so much in.

You all know I’m a shop-a-holic, so now you get to see how bad it really is. I have only been addicted for 3 years. I am definitely outgrowing my space.

So the top photo is the view from the door. My area in an semi-unfinished area in our basement at the bottom of the cellar stairs. I do have heat, and a mini heater for those chilly months.

Its not much but its mine! I use to have NO MYTIME SPACE, but a large bin that I would drag out to stamp at the kitchen table. Holy creative blocker. Its hard to get crafty doing that. So DH spent a weekend for Christmas making me my very own space. I love it.

While it looks messy its actually pretty well organized.

I have 2 ink caddy’s. One for craft, the other for classic ink. On top of the caddy’s I have stickles, 2 way glue, and other little things like that. On my desk I have a clear stackablecontainer with blender pens, embossing powder, tags, and all kinds of other stuff. I also have my reinkers, and other stuff like embossing powders, pearl ex, envelopes and whatnot in a closed 2 door cabinet.

My ribbon is in like 50 containers! LOL! SU are in the SU ribbon holders, but the others are in tupperware type holders that stack.

All my stamps are on my open shelves, organized by bkgds, sentiments, kid, all occasions, and flowers etc. If it retired, a mini catalog, or discontinued it goes in a separate shelf so I can keep track.

I have my super paper holder, which are organized by colors like blues, greens and what not. Designer paper is under the my counter, in paper storage holders.  I have a big ol scrap container on my desk in the corner. Its out of control full again, so I need to go reorganize it. I do have it seperated by blues, green,s and what not! (you can see the retired sets and stuff stored there too)

Under my desk is my SU! Business stuff. Soon that will be gone. I also have a huge bin of MUST HAVE alterable items! LOL!

On my counter I have my sizzix and cuttlebug stuff. That needs to be within reach at ALL times!

view from other side

On the walls I have cheap fabric shoe holders from Target! 2 for $1.50!!!! Theystore my ATG gun, color spritzer, label maker, sponges, rubber brayer, dimesionals, all kinds if stuff. I have another that hold my crimper, crop a dile, metal sheets, other fun items. AND one more that holds all my punches!

again

Now there is the wire crate organizer. That holds more NON su stamps like my acrylic ones from all my favorite companies, alterables, more SU business stuff, my xyron 900, light table, shrinky dinks machine, PRIMAS!!!! Stuff like that!

WHEW! Well thats it. Its not glamorous and goreous like alot of the toip stampers rooms, but its my space and it serves it purpose! The kids can’t touch my stuff, and I can create and make my mess with out worry.

Stay tuned tomorrow so I can share some fun goodies I made today! I will also be announcing the winner of MYTIME MAIL!!!!

And the winner is…..

Prima Paper & Beautiful Butterflies

Apr 4, 2007 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards

I LOVE butterflies! Can you tell?

I just got this gorgeous stamp set called Bella Brush by Fancy Pants.

I also got the Baby Girl patterned paper and matching flowers by Prima. I am in heaven.

I thought the 118 sketch challenge today was a perfect opportunity to use my new goods.

I decided to change it up a bit, and make the front a flap that opens. The paper was just too pretty on both sides to waste and butcher. So the prima holds it closed. I wanted the look to remain soft, so I chose ti use my favorite StazOn and shimmery pastels technique. The layer is attached with glue dots so you cannot see them. I just thought it was so soft and pretty.

The inside, I traced select butterflies with a Sakura glitter pen. Subtle and elegant. The strips of paper are by doodlebug. Cute touch I thought.

open

I have no idea who is getting this but I had fun.

Well I had to make one more using my Butterfly Kisses set. I just love it!

For this one I again used my Prima Baby Girl paper, and mauve mist! Go figure.

I love this layout 😀

papertrey

The card is mainly the paper, and not much stamping but still really pretty. The butterfly is stamped in Brilliance ink, on vellum cardstock-love that stuff. Cut out, than attached with a glue dot.

The ribbon is velevet ric rac by May Arts.

I made this one for a friend I have been thinking about. Hopefully I get it to the post-office before our trip! 😛

Apr 3, 2007 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards

AND I just got word from Christine at All That Scraps that Whisker’s is making his debut! There are 3 to choose from! This one is my favorite, so I had to make a sample. He is on the homepage. I feel like this is great for any occasion.

whiskers

Sorry for the blurry photo-too much coffee and photos in my kitchen at night are not cool!

This is Whiskers! Colored with prismacolor pencils and gamsol. Had to use a Sprite prima. You have to get these! They are my favorite from Prima by far! So in love!!!

Cardstock is by Bazzil. Also used Piggy Tales Green Forrest patterned paper. I took my Sakura glitterpen, and outlined all the flowers (cant really tell in photo). I just love the spring colors, and the fact that this is almost an all occasion card!

Think Pink sentiment from small sayings SU!

Ribbon from Jody! Hey, at least I use what I buy right?

Jewel is from Target $1 spot! Gotta love a little more bling.

Here is a link to Christine’s blog. She chats about all the new goodies that she has at All That Scraps. Be sure to check it out.

Have a nice night everyone. Happy Shopping.

Stamp for a good cause!

xbox

Beth (MyPrecious) alerted me to a little boy Dylan she knows who has been diagnosed with Leukemia. She posted a request found here, for people to RAK him with cards! You can also find his story there as well.

How could I not send a card? I make ton to sit in a storage box, why not one to actually send to a special child?

I hope you will join me in this. Dust off a boy set, or any set really and lets RAK him! I know first hand the joy a simple handmade card can bring. Alexa has received hundreds! Probably even a thousand if I counted.

Now about the card-You guessed it Lizzie Anne Designs All Guy  (btw no I don’t design for her-I saw the banner ad she had on SCS and bought 3 sets!LOL! Im just really likin her style)

So if you are wondering what all the jumbled letters are in the background you obviously don’t have an XBOX addicted 4 yo boy like I do. To do most of the fighting you have letter combos -like xxyab for example! LOL! Thats how I did the background!

I used a Library stamp from ProvoCraft for that. Made it quick to do the combos. I looked at the controller, and copied the button arrangement. Alphabits by SU! were for the round buttons on the side panel.  See there is more thought to this simple card that you thought huh?

I used A Muse candy for the buttons. I was pretty happy with this, and hope Dylan likes it. It is like a video game so whats not to like right?

CC108! Celebrate 2 years! and Lizzie Anne Designs stamps

Apr 3, 2007 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards

YEAH! This is to celebrate 2 years of color challenges. Check it out!

So to celebrate Emily asked if we would make a card for Daven’s birthday with color challenge one of 108. Here is my submission.

daven

This is for Daven. He is the MAIN MAN! The creator and king of Splitcoaststampers! Happy Birthday Daven! I thought this card was SO PERFECT for him.

I just got this awesome All Guy stamp set by Lizzie Anne Designs yesterday. Perfect timing. I am on a mission to expand my guy sets. I’m having fun with this one.

Color challenge was Kraft, red & black. Ill admit the Kraft threw me off a bit, but hey thats why its a challenge right? I stamped the computer in caramel on glossy white. Colored the screen with my makers. Love coloring on glossy white with markers lately.

Ribbon is from Jody’s share (big surprise right?).

For Beate- Funky Flower Trio

beate

This is the second color challenge. Use Pretty in Pink, Bravo Burgundy, and  Always Artichoke. Since I had the Kraft, from making Daven’s card, I decided to use it for Beate’s card.

I went with Craft ink, and glossy white cardstock. In the above colors & white craft ink as well.

Stamps are also from Lizzy Anne Designs Funky Floral . Love that set too.

Ribbon-again from Jody! Jewels in the center of flowers are by A Muse.

Fore Your Birthday!

Another Guy card-

fore

Yet another guy card. This one also uses the All Guy  set by Lizzie Anne. I’m just havin fun with it.

When I saw this “golf” image all I thought of was the argyle, and making my own ball! So I did. I used my cuttlebug Tiny Bubbles embossing folder, and a circle punch for the ball. Cut huh?

The paper/notecard is by A Muse. Colored with SU markers. Flag is a piece or red cardstock cut out/layered.

Ribbon is from Jody, and is May Arts stitched ribbon.

Motorcycle in motion-yet another guy card!

motorcycle

OK another guy card! Its sort of fun to use non flower images once in a while! LOL!

So I used the “Donna” technique to make this motorcylce look like its zoomin across the card. Its another from the All Guy  set by Lizzie Anne. I thought the stitched ribbon looked like a road! LOL!

I just got these rub on’s by Basic Grey- Wholy Cow?? I don’t know check Jacksonbelles ebay store!

Anyway, when I saw the ‘batteries not included” I thought it was perfect. the Guy stuff is stamped twice. Hope you likey! These were so fun! Now you know where I’ve been! LOL!

A Muse

Apr 3, 2007 Author: mytime | Filed under: Cards

So here a just a few samples with my A Muse goodies. I *LOVE* A Muse stamps and note-cards. Lets not forget May Arts Polka Dot ribbon. The only problem I have is keeping it simple! That is the A Muse way! LOL! So these are my attempts at “simple”

I love this one!

bunny

This stamp is called Bunny Line. Isn’t it cute?

It uses the cottage green pinwheel note-card. White may arts ribbon.

I stamped the bunnies in black then colored with pink, and gray markers.

I cut the one bunny out, and layered him over the original. The sentiment is from Love ya bunches by SU!

 Hay Thanks-

hay thanks

Is this not cute? I used the Limepeel band notecard for my “grass”. The ‘hay” sentiment is rough edges alpha, and the thanks is Tiny Talk by SU! I used the “chicks in a row” from A Muse, and it is stamped on an acetate sheet in black StazOn. I colored the back with colorbox chalk ink, and a  blender pen. Glue dots behind the chick hold it onto the A Muse notecard.

Stamped the tractor, and hay wagon in black as well. Colored in. The Hay is stamped on saffron cardstock then cut and on dimensionals for fun!

I thought this was cute-but feels like its missing “something”. But trying to keep it simple, so I left it alone!

Hen’s Night Out

hens night

I love this little hen! I used my cuttlebug scalloped die to make this.

The hen is stamped in black. A Singlo white gel pen was used to color her in. I used a yellow glitter pen for her beak, and feet. Isn’t she cute?

Ribbon is May Arts.

Hen’s Night Out sentiment is my Missy B Designs.

So what do you think?

Happy Mail

Apr 3, 2007 Author: mytime | Filed under: Mytime Mail

The good thing is I will be posting samples made with my new goodies!
