I am SO ready for spring. I have been dying to get this stamp by Gina K. Every-time I saw a card with it I wanted it more. When I was placing my order at www.allthatscraps.com I was SO excited to see she is carrying Gina K.’s line!
So in my basket it went! As well as a bunch of other goodies.
I bought this patterned paper from there called Farmers Market by Flair Designs. Its a 12×12 piece with several different “seed” packets. When my order arrived I noticed that one of the seed packets matched the flowers in the wheel barrow! So I cut that one out, and one thing lead to another. Now, here is the final product! This card is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2. The Prima is also the same flower. Used the seed packet for the total inspiration of this card.
My Natural vanilla card-stock is stamped in weathered bkgd, and DTP the edges. The saffron layer is cuttlebugged with the stylized flowers, then rubbed with white craft ink, and colorbox chalk ink on the leaves. Ribbon is May Arts. On the barrow I stamped in brown stazon, then used my white singlo pen for the flowers. Colored using WWC, and blender pen.
In all honesty, while I LOVE Primas I have a hard time with the larger ones, making “centers” for them. In all honesty the thing I hate most about this is the beaded button flower center. Oh well!
Share with me how you dress up your Prima centers! I need help!

Love how you’ve “offset” the flowercart - very unique and clever. It’s a beautiful card.
OMG…I love this card…what a neat idea with the seed packet! I would totally CASE this (had I had any of the supplies…ha!).
Absolutely gorgeous! Love the overall soft feel to the card!

To start, I think this card is sweet! I like how you tied it all together with the same flowers. For flower centers, I agree…tough time with the bigger ones, and a project doesn always call for the same type every time…It looks like you used clear microbeads on this…am I right?
Random thoughts on big prima centers…What about some of the colored opaque microbeads, that might make a difference in the ‘look’…also what about a button covered with flocking, or a velvety covered button…(not that I know where you would find those…sewing notions I suppose) something with texture…jewels and stickles have been done (and the big flowers stickles won’t really work with anyway)…ummmmmm, I’ll keep thinking…this is a tough question!
DUH - Liquid applique…they make it in different colors right???? That would give dimension to the center and texture…ok, really going now
